Building Things Chapter 38

Conner woke to that feeling again of searching the bed with his hand...empty. Damn, he thought, he always does this, sneaks out of bed not waking me. Conner rolled to his back, and draped an arm over his eyes, thinking about Alec and what Conner wanted to do for him after he got off work at two this afternoon. Conner smiled at wanting their first night in the apartment to be special for them. His thought was interrupted as he heard movement coming up to his side of the bed. Conner lifted his arm up off his eyes. Alec slid on top of him, resting on his chest.

"Hey, sexy man, why are you awake?" Alec asked in a whisper as he lightly kissed Conner's chin, and then his cheek, then his temple...

"Keep that up and you're going to be late." Conner sounded out with a sexy growl in his throat.

"Did I wake you up?"

"No, babe." Conner said as he put his arms around Alec. "I just couldn't feel you next to me, that's all. I'm glad you just didn't leave."

"I hate leaving you, sexy man." Alec whispered and then went back to his kissing up Conner's face.

"That's it, you're late for sure now." Conner said as drug Alec onto the bed, rolling him, then plunged his mouth onto Alec's, pushing, going deep with his tongue. Alec wrapped his arms around Conner, running his hands up and down Conner's naked back. Alec was beginning to moan in Conner's mouth, driving Conner on further, sliding a hand up under Alec's shirt, over his smooth tight skin that was freshly showered. Conner worked his legs out from under the covers and used his knees to spread Alec's legs apart, settling his hard length over Alec's grinding the two together, Conner's free, Alec's trapped in his jeans. Alec struggled and then pushed Conner up off him.

"I can't. I've got to go." Alec whispered, hurt and lust in his eyes. "I'm almost through there, remember? We can do this every morning before you have to leave at the apartment." Conner exhaled, knowing Alec was right, but as they had just slept together last night, no sex, Conner was so horny, he couldn't stand it.

"Fuck." Conner said.

"I'm sorry." Alec said, Conner rolling off him and dropping to the pillows.

"You're right, and you have nothing to be sorry about." Conner said, draping his arm over his eyes again. "We both have to do what we have to do." Alec rolled back onto Conner's chest, looking at him in the dark.

"I'll make it up to you. I promise." Alec whispered. Conner moved his arm to look at him.

"You're damn right you will. I'm going to fuck you in every room of that apartment when you get off work. And then all weekend long as well."

"I work Saturday, remember?"

"Ah shit. Well, then all afternoon today, and then all night." Conner dropped his arm and tilted his head toward Alec's face, kissing his nose tip. "Now, get off me, you tease. Got to work." Conner said, as Alec moved and got off the bed. "Come in and get me all hard and worked up and then just leave without doing anything about it...God." Conner was mumbling, as he fluffed pillows, acting perturbed. Alec took a pillow from him, and slammed him over the head with it, giggling, and then pushed Conner back on the bed, turning to run for the door. "That's right, abuser, go ahead...run." Conner dropped his head into the pillows and then Alec snuck back in the room. He crept up to the edge of the bed in the dark, seeing Conner's form lying on the bed. Alec bent down and ran his tongue up Conner's exposed hard cock with a quick movement, and then ran for the door again as Conner gasped at it. "Oh you fucking little tease, you wait...you just wait." Conner said a little louder than a whisper.

***********

Derrick got up out of bed and looked back at the sleeping for of Ty, partly covered by the sheet. Derrick smiled and then stretched his arms, as he exhaled, and then stood up. He walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower, then brushed his teeth. He stepped in letting the rain head run down over him. His thoughts were of today and what it was going to bring. He washed himself all over and rinsed and then shut it off. He dried himself and rehung the towel, leaving the light on in the bathroom, he went to the dresser and pulled out underwear and socks. He put them on as quiet as he could and then went to the closet.

He pulled out slacks and stepped into them and then a button down putting it over his muscled shoulders, buttoning it, and then tucking it into the slacks. He selected a belt and slipped it in through the loops of the slacks, buckling it, and then slipped on his shoes. He went back to the bathroom and quickly did his hair, checking his look in the mirror, satisfied at what he saw, the two day stubble on his face, he smiled at himself. He shut off the light and went down the hall to the kitchen. He made coffee for himself and stood at the counter for a moment, and then walked to the back door, opening it. He looked out at the structure, it standing there in the dark, like an old friend, waiting, wanting to be talked to, touched, used. Ty was right, the plans for its use had changed, and Derrick hated that he had to wait now, to use it. Money down the drain, he thought. Derrick sipped his coffee and then turned, closing the door, not wanting to think about it any longer. He went back to the kitchen and leaned against the sink counter, finishing his coffee. He rinsed his cup and set it in the sink. He went down the hallway and back into the bedroom, giving Ty a kiss on the temple, Derrick walked out of the bedroom and grabbed his keys.

At the office he sat at the desk, giving his emails a thorough going over, reading what was necessary and then deleting the rest or moving them to different folders. He went to Tom's office and started to look what information over that they had on this monstrous project. Derrick saw the site map that Tom had picked up from the Building Department. Derrick looked it over noticing that the property itself was about four acres in size. He started comparing against the prelim that was sent by the attorney, and again, the figures didn't match. Derrick shook his head. It didn't make any sense.

He took everything to the conference room and spread it out on the large table there, and began to piece things together. He made a few trips to the coffee maker and became lost in the process with it.

*****************

Ty rolled out of bed as he thought he heard something. He looked out the window and saw the light coming through, and then rolled to look at the nightstand on Derrick's side of the bed. It was nearly seven. Ty got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, stretching and twisting his head around, cracking his neck. He was sleeping too sound, he thought to himself. He was comfortable being here with this wonderful man that he was living with and loving. Ty smiled to himself. Ty brushed his teeth and then went back and slipped on his shorts, and then went out to the kitchen for coffee. He came round the corner and there was Conner, leaning against the counter, cup in hand.

"Morning." Ty said, as he came up next to him, reaching for a cup of his own.

"Morning." Conner said. Ty looked Conner up and down as he stood beside him. Conner's tight swimmer's body and his long legs, standing there in his skimpy underwear that barely covered him, made Ty's mouth water, seeing Conner's big bulge.

"Big day today, huh?" Ty asked as the coffee maker was filling his cup.

"Yeah. Have lots of errands to run, and things to get." Conner said softly as he sipped his coffee.

"I bet. Gonna be busy for sure."

"Something bothering you?" Conner asked.

"Oh, a few things, I suppose, but nothing important." Ty replied as he turned and leaned against the counter next to Conner. Conner looked at him.

"Do we have anything to do with it?"

"Partly, I guess. But, it's not bad. It's just me being down I guess. Don't worry about it, shouldn't have said anything, really. Sorry."

Conner turned and faced Ty. "You know that I..."

Ty turned and cut him off, "Look, you guys are happy, anyone can see that, and you need to do this, for you. I get it, I understand it. It's just me being selfish, wanting to keep you guys around. I got used to it, just like Derrick has. We talked about it last night. It's just going to be quiet around here, that's all."

"When you're done outside, what are you going to do?"

"Haven't figured that out, yet. I kind of dropped off the planet since I've been here, haven't even turned on my phone since day one."

"Wait, you have a phone, a cell phone?"

"Yeah, that sound strange?" Ty asked as he sipped coffee.

"Never seen it, didn't think you had one."

"Don't like 'em, need 'em, but don't like 'em." Ty shrugged his shoulders. Conner leaned forward and put his free arm around Ty's neck and pulled him into a hug. "What's this all about?"

"Just want to say, I love you, bud." Conner said.

"Hey, love you too, bud." Ty said patting Conner's naked back, and then patted his barely covered butt.

"Easy there." Conner said in Ty's ear. "Alec was teasing me before he left this morning."

"You know I never tease." Ty said and then pinched Conner's butt.

"Yeah, right." Conner said, and then pulled away, looking at Ty, and then Conner's mouth almost fell open.

"What?" Ty asked.

"I just had a thought." Conner said. Ty raised an eyebrow.

"You want to have a last quickie before you go?" Ty asked, grinning. Conner's eye went wide.

"That's a thought too, but no, thanks. What I was thinking is that with running the real estate division, houses always need repair. I could throw that in your direction, if you wanted it."

"Really." Ty said, thinking a moment, and then sipping more coffee. "Hmmm, that is an idea. Pretty much light repairs for the most part. I don't see why not. Good idea, bud, thanks."

"Yeah, I'll check in on it as I get more familiar with it."

"Understandable." Ty said, and Conner smiled.

"I'm going to go get ready." Conner went to the sink and rinsed his cup. Ty was looking at Conner's tight butt in the skimpy underwear and was just shaking his head at it. He put his cup in the dishwasher and closed it, turning to look at Ty, and walked up to him, giving him another tight hug. "Are you going to be here all day?"

"Yeah, I think so. I was going to do the rock wall out back."

"Okay. I may need to ask you a favor later."

"Oh, what's that?"

"Maybe on Sunday, to move Alec out of his studio, may need to borrow the truck."

"Sure, would love to." Ty smiled. "Then we could see your new place."

"I'll have the chef prepare something." Conner wiggled his eyebrows, then kissed Ty on the cheek. Conner walked away, Ty turned and watched that incredible ass. He sighed to himself.

Ty went to the sink and rinsed his cup, putting it in the dishwasher as well as the others from the sink, then closed the door. He went to the bedroom and dropped his shorts and then turned on the shower, and then stepped in.

Conner got showered quickly and then dressed, brushing his teeth. He made the bed and picked up his clothes and stuffed them in a bag. He stacked his bags on the bed and packed from the dresser quickly. He wanted to be out soon and on his way to get his errands done. There was not a lot of time before Alec got off work, and he wanted it to be perfect for him.

Conner loaded his bags in the car, making several trips into the house, and was finally ready. He told Ty he would see him a little later, and then got into the car and pulled out of the driveway. He made a beeline for the furniture store, seeing the lady that had helped them yesterday, she was surprised to see him. Conner told her that they had decided on the couch and love seat as well as the dining set. She pointed out that there was a matching sideboard, and Conner went for it, after seeing it. He said that they wanted the mattress and boxed springs as well, and then he saw a bedroom set toward the back, that caught his eye. Conner went to it and was immediately in love with it. He took it. She was totally overwhelmed at all of it, being on commission, and really could have kissed him for it. He asked if it could be delivered before two, as it was a surprise for Alec, giving her the address. She checked and they would have a truck just for him and would make it happen. He was very pleased. He wrote her a check, and as she was watching him write it, she noticed the ledger balance in the book and her eyes went wide.

"He said he was interested in some tables as well, didn't he?" She asked.

"He did, but we left before he showed me. I wouldn't have a clue. But, we will be back, I'm sure." Conner said, rolling his eyes as he handed her the check. "I really appreciate the help."

"You're very welcome," she said, as she gave him the invoice receipt, "you'll get another copy when they deliver."

"Perfect." Conner smiled. "Thanks again." He nodded and shook her hand. He walked out and headed to the car and set off to get other items that they needed. By the time he was done, it was near ten, and he pulled into the apartment complex, parking in the spot that was identified on the key fob. He unloaded a few of his bags and went upstairs to the apartment, opening the door, he dropped the bags and went back down, making several trips, everything stacked at the door, he was whipped. He pulled out his phone and texted Alec, not knowing if he would respond or not.

A minute later he did. Conner texted him and said he had a list that needed to be filled for supplies. Alec asked, what? Conner texted, everything for setting up house, soap, laundry, etc...

Alec texted back, you're crazy. Conner texted, in love... then Conner's phone rang, he laughed as he answered it.

"Yes, I'd like to place an order to go, please, I need six boxes of condoms and three bottles of lube." Conner said.

"Lube is in stock, but you will never use a condom with me, sexy man. I want to feel it raw every time, deep inside."

"Fuck. Can you leave work early?" Conner whispered into his phone. "I'm all boned up just thinking about it."

"Hang on, it won't be long, I promise. What are you doing?"

"Oh, walking around the apartment, naked, playing with myself, thinking of you."

"Killin me here." Alec said into the phone. "What did you really need? Besides the obvious."

"Oh, I see how it is. Man, shoot me down...AGAIN." Conner huffed into the phone. Alec chuckled. "I was kind of busy this morning, and when I got here, I realized that we need some things. Bar soap, laundry stuff, food, wine, you know, things like that."

"Well, hot stuff, you have the checkbook." Alec said.

"I know. Alright, just get here and then we can go shopping."

"I thought we were going to, you know?" Alec hinted, obviously there was someone near him.

"Know what?" Conner teased. "I don't know what you're talking about? You need to be more specific."

"This morning?" Alec asked flatly.

"I don't remember."

"God, you are so killing me right now."

"Oh, that...you want me eat your ass out while you're on the carpet on your back, right? You want me to lick and suck your balls over and over again, and then you want me take and lick..."

"Stop." Alec said.

"Is something wrong? I thought that's what you..."

"I'm getting hard with you talking." Alec sounded like he was gritting his teeth.

"Aawww, I'm sorry. Did I catch you at a bad time?" Conner had that little boy voice going. Alec was falling apart.

"I am so going to hurt you when I get there." Alec grumbled into the phone.

"Make it hurt really good baby. I got to go hang up my suits now. See you when you get home. Love you, bye." Conner ended the call, and then laughed out loud. He kicked off his shoes and picked up his bags and went to the spare bedroom and opened the closet. He lay the bag on the floor and pulled out his suits and hung them up. He folded and put the bag on the shelf above. He closed the door and went to grab the others.

*******************

Derrick stood at the large table, with Tom, hovering near him. They were pointing at various areas, and using the site map to double check placements and then Derrick finally stopped. He dropped his pencil on the table top and sighed heavily. Tom just looked at him.

"What?" Tom asked.

"This is fucking pointless." Derrick said, frustration in his voice. Tom knew it and could hear it.

"Alright, so what do we do?"

"Did you call them?"

"I did. I told you, I left a message. They haven't called back yet."

"We're just spinning our wheels here. They not call you back tells me that they're fucking with us. There's something else going on. Why would they not call back yet? And who drew these renderings? This is for another site obviously, and nothing in the specs matches." Derrick sat down in one of the chairs. "You sure there is nothing else? Something you might have left out?"

"Nothing, I swear. I told you everything." Tom said.

"Then why are they fucking with us? What's the reason? Are they that stupid?" Derrick moved in his chair trying to get comfortable. "Alright, let's refocus, shall we? Try and call them again. If you get nothing, then we put this on the back burner, and contract or no, they can go to hell, and they can wait for us."

"Okay, I'll try it again." Tom said and picked up the cover sheet from the attorneys office that had the number on it. He picked up the phone and dialed. Derrick got up and walked to his office, pushing the door open a little and then walked in. It closed behind him. He stopped.

"Hello, Derrick." Came the voice behind him. Derrick turned around and his eyes narrowed.

"Cary?" Derrick asked, looking him up and down. Derrick could see that he was in terrible shape.

"Surprised?"

"Shocked is more like it. How did you get in here? What do you want?" Derrick asked.

"To talk." Cary said as he stepped forward toward Derrick.

"What about?"

"What you did to me. What you made me do."

"What I did to you? You did it to yourself, selling plans off, passing it as if it were someone else's work, not ours?"

"You fucked with my life."

"You were fucking with my company." Derrick said, seeing Cary's eyes looking a little blank.

"I'm still doing it, and will keep doing it." His voice was going softer.

"Why? What can you hope to gain?" Derrick was getting a little nervous, and then he saw the glint of something in Cary's right hand, behind him just a little.

"To ruin you, like you ruined me."

"You ruined yourself. All I did was put a stop to it."

"That's what you think." Cary said. "They're going to take you away for killing Calvin. I made sure of that."

"Oh? And how is that possible?" Derrick asked, he needed to keep him busy, until someone came along or he could do something.

"You killed him alright. Kathy knows you did it, she'll see you in prison or dead." Cary said.

"Don't think so. I know I didn't do it, and the police have already confirmed my alibi. You have no idea what you're talking about. And what do you know about Kathy?"

"She knows." Cary said as he came another step closer. His eyes were still blank with that stare. "Do you know what I went through?"

"No, and I really don't care." Derrick said, leaving his arms at his sides.

"I lost everything because of you, my career, my house, everything." Cary was almost at a whisper, as Derrick could see Cary's right arm go tight and flex in his shirt. Derrick saw the glint again, as there was a knock on the door, and then opened as Cary lunged, Derrick moved to meet him, crashing into him, trying to catch Cary's wrist but missed, feeling the blade slash into skin on his right side. Derrick put up his right arm and put it against Cary's throat as Derrick body slammed him against the wall next to the door.

Cary turned his head a little from the impact as Derrick grabbed at the wrist that held the knife with his right hand. Cary was strong, fighting against Derrick, as Terry had opened the door, seeing all of this happen in front of him and jumped in to help. Cary got an elbow up smacking Terry up under the base of his nose, knocking him backward, pushing the door open wider, as Derrick was holding onto Cary's wrist with the knife. Terry slumped to the floor. One of the girls of the office was in the hall and could see everything, Derrick struggling to hold on, while Cary fought against him, the knife flashing in Cary's hand. She screamed a blood curdling scream, seeing the knife. Derrick lost his grip at the wrist and Cary slashed at him again, but missed, Derrick backed up a couple of steps, losing his balance a little, and Cary advanced quickly. Derrick saw it, and balled up his hands into fists and punched straight on. Cary's head tilted back from the impact as some of the office staff came running in. stopping at the door. Cary went to charge again, and Derrick hit him harder, stunning Cary. He blinked his eyes as his nose erupted. Derrick grit his teeth and threw one more with everything he had, falling Cary like a tree. Eyes were all on Derrick as he stood over the fallen body. And then one of the girls screamed again, seeing the slash and the blood from Derrick's side at the rip of Derrick's shirt.

"Call the cops!" Derrick yelled, looking at one of the guys helping Terry to his feet. "You okay, bud?" Derrick asked, then looked down quickly at Cary under him. He saw the knife and kicked it away from his hands.

"Yeah, boss." Terry said, putting the back of his hand under his nose. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Derrick said, looking at everyone. He tried to relax a little seeing their expressions. He heard groans from under him and looked down, seeing that Cary was coming round. Then the sounds of sirens getting closer and closer. Cary went to move, but Derrick dropped on him in the middle of his chest with one knee to pin him, balling up his fists again. "Stay down you son-of-a-bitch." Derrick growled. "Someone go show the cops back here." Derrick said. Cary went to move, but Derrick pushed down harder. "I said, stay down!"

Officers came through the staff and into the office, pushing Derrick back away. They glanced at the situation, and one officer held Derrick. They saw Cary was bleeding bad from his split nose and lip. One of the officers used his shoulder microphone and called for an ambulance. The officer that held Derrick saw the slashed shirt and then a hint of blood. Derrick and the officer's eyes met, and Derrick was blinking slowly now. He felt a hand on his side.

"Knife is over there." Derrick said, rolling his eyes toward where he kicked it. The officer looked quickly. As voices were telling the officers what had happened. Derrick was feeling a little dizzy, and relaxed a little leaning against his desk, the officer unbuttoned Derrick's shirt and saw the slash and the blood coming from it, he pulled the shirt tails out of the pants.

"Paramedics are on the way." The officer said, trying to keep Derrick focused. "Hang on, it won't be long." The officer said. Derrick gave him a weak smile in reply. They could all hear the sound of another siren coming, and then another one but it was different. Derrick saw someone at the officer's shoulder. It was Tom.

"Hang on, buddy," Tom said, "they're almost here." Derrick nodded again, trying to breathe easy. He looked down at his side.

"Okay, get him out of here." Came a familiar gravely voice. Derrick looked up and saw Murray standing behind the officer, next to Tom. "Mr. Jacobson, have you been playing detective again?" Murray said, raising an eyebrow.

"Doing my civic duty, Lieutenant." Derrick hissed out.

Alec moved the last pallet and put it down. He pulled out the pallet jack and pushed it across the warehouse of the store and parked it. He turned around and there was Kurt standing there, staring at him.

"What's up?" Alec asked.

"Hey, I was wondering, did your boyfriend make it back? Haven't seen much of you in the past couple of days."

"Then you haven't noticed the schedule," Alec said, "I been working the early."

"Oh, right. I've had evenings." Kurt said.

Alec smiled. "Yeah, he came back."

"Really, too bad for me, I guess." Kurt said.

"Hey, look, are you really interested in...you know..."

"You know, what?" Kurt asked, his eyes wide.

"Okay," Alec slowed himself down, "have you ever been with a guy before?"

"Kind of, jerked around a bit, that kind of a thing."

"Well, if you're interested, I might know someone that might be interested as well."

"I was kind of interested in you." Kurt said.

"That's sweet and all," Alec smiled, "but I'm not available."

"Oh? Because of the boyfriend?"

"No, because of the fiancé." Alec grinned.

"What? He asked you? Or did you ask him?" Kurt was wide eyed. Alec pulled out the chain around his neck and showed Kurt the ring.

"He asked me." Alec grinned.

"Well, alright dude. That's cool." Kurt looked hurt.

"But I know this really great guy...if you're interested."

"I'll think about it." Kurt said, then turned and walked away toward the double doors and out.

************************

Conner answered the door and two guys were standing there. Both of them were husky muscle types. Conner smiled at them and the one with the clipboard started to talk. He confirmed the name and what was being delivered. Conner said yes, and opened the door wide and blocked it with a shoe, wedging it. The two guys went back to the truck and started to unload it, bringing it up a piece at a time. Conner was watching them being careful of the woodwork and the paint. His phone rang. He opened it and answered the call. It was the truck from New York. He gave them the new address and he was told it would arrive tomorrow. He said that was fine and hung up.

After several trips, the two guys had just about everything into the apartment. Conner was moving things around as best he could, placing the couch and love seat, hoping Alec would like it. The dining set was set up and the sideboard, and then Conner went to the bedroom, seeing where everything was. The guys asked if he wanted it moved anywhere else, and said it was about right. He smiled at them, signing the invoice for receipt, and then pulled out a few bills and tipped them for the fast service. They thanked him and shook his hand, and then left.

Conner turned round and walked into the bedroom. He loved the new furniture, the dresser, nightstands, the armoire, and the bed itself, the head and footboards. He knew Alec would love it as well and Conner was smiling with excitement as he pulled out the new sheets and mattress pad. He made the bed up, and got it just so.

He took his phone out and started to make a list of things that they needed, as Conner walked around the apartment, hanging up new towels in the bathroom, putting away some of the extra linens that he bought in the hall closet, then set about unpacking his clothes in the new dresser, using only one side of it, leaving the other for Alec.

The paramedics were cleaning up Derrick and patching him as best they could. Derrick eased into a chair and tried to relax for a minute as Murray was standing there watching them work on Derrick.

"You want to tell me what happened?" Murray asked. Derrick looked up at him.

"Obviously you weren't very as successful in find him as I was."

"I guess I should have warned you about him." Murray said, leaning against the desk, looking down at Derrick. "You really should go and have that looked at, needs stitches."

"You think?"

"You want me to call Mr. Caldwell?"

"He won't answer the house phone, and the machine isn't on speaker so the calls go straight to recording." Derrick said, and then winced as the medic was applying a trauma dressing. He looked up at Derrick grimacing his apology.

"Well since you seem to have done our job for us, it's the least I can do to go by and tell him myself." Murray said.

"That's descent of you. I appreciate that Lieutenant." Derrick said. He looked up at Tom. "Make sure everyone is alright, I don't want anybody having a bad weekend over this."

"Always the fucking hero." Tom said. "Worry about yourself for a change. And I don't want to see you on Monday either. Terry and I can handle it."

"I know about Terry, but I have my doubts about you." Derrick said as he got to his feet.

"We should get you on a gurney." The medic said.

"No way, bud." Derrick said, looking at him. "I'll agree to go, but I'm walking out of here on my own." The medic held up his hands. Derrick saw Terry at the door. "You okay?"

"Better than you are right now, boss. Just relax and everything will be fine here."

"I know, bud. Give me a call if you need anything." Derrick said.

"I think that was my line, boss." Derrick smiled at Terry and walked out slowly.

Murray and the medic talked for a minute as Derrick was placed in the back by the other medic. Murray turned and gave instructions to the remaining officers and soon everything was breaking up. The back doors were shut to the rig, and Derrick saw Murray walking toward his car. He lay his head back on the angled gurney, as the rig pulled away.

Ty was in the structure when Murray pulled up. Murray, receiving no answer at the door, walked around back, seeing Ty putting up the rock on the wall. It caught Murray's eye what he was doing and he stopped and admired the work for a long minute. He took a couple of steps into the structure and spoke.

"Mr. Caldwell." Murray said. Ty jumped a little, turning around.

"Lieutenant, what brings you here, Derrick's at the office."

"That's why I'm here. Mr. Jacobson said you wouldn't answer the phone if we called." Murray said, and Ty immediately realized that something was wrong.

"He's not at the office, is he?" Ty asked as he set his tray and trowel down. "Is he alright?" Ty walked toward Murray a few steps.

"He'll be fine. There was an altercation at his office. They took him to Community." Murray said. "I told him that I would come and tell you."

"I've got to go." Ty said, looking flushed all of a sudden.

"Like I said, he'll be fine. Now before you go rushing off, just remember, no running red lights." Murray said with a faint smile.

"Thanks for coming, Lieutenant. Really appreciate it." Ty said, trotting off to the house. He locked it up and grabbed his keys on the counter and came out the back door. Ty jumped in the truck and started it. He backed out of the driveway, cursing himself for not backing in in the first place. Murray was already on the road, on his way there as well. Ty drove carefully and within a few minutes, he was at the hospital, walking into the ER lobby. He walked up to the desk, as Murray was standing there, talking to a nurse.

"Can I help you?" She asked.

"Derrick Jacobson." Ty said, looking at her, and then at Murray, and then her again.

"I'm sorry, sir, but only immediate family can be admitted in."

"It's alright. I'll vouch for him." Murray said, looking at her.

"Thanks, Lieutenant." Ty said, and the nurse led Ty through the doors. She took him to a closed curtain area, and pulled it back a little, as the Doctor was on a stool, a blue white light pointing at Derrick's side, as the hooked needle was being guided along, thread and hemostats were going in the air and then going back to Derrick's side.

Ty walked up on the other side of the bed, looking at Derrick, as Derrick held out his hand. Ty took it and squeezed it, giving Derrick a soft kiss. Their eyes met and Derrick dropped his head back on the bed.

"Almost done here, Mr. Jacobson." The Doctor said, not looking up. "Good thing he didn't go much deeper, you would have had to have surgery instead of a stitch job."

"Thanks, Doctor." Derrick said, with a hint of sarcasm. The Doctor looked up at him, and noticed Ty was standing there.

"Hey there." The Doctor said, nodding his head, giving Ty the once over. Ty smiled and nodded back. "You seem to be an important man, Mr. Jacobson."

"How's that?"

"Police Lieutenants, and other officers, muscled body guards," The Doctor said, looking at Ty again, "obviously important to someone."

"I like to think to several people, Doctor. Doctor Rena, this is Ty Caldwell, my fiancé." Derrick said with a smile at the Doctor, squeezing Ty's hand.

"Oh, I see." Rena said, "Pardon my not shaking hands."

"Understandable." Ty answered. Ty looked at Derrick. "Thanks for send Murray by to tell me. I know I should probably start answering the phone, huh?"

"Not unless you want to talk to solicitors." Derrick smiled. "It was Murray's idea to go by. He said it was the least he could do."

"Do for what?"

"I'll explain it later." Derrick said, squeezing Ty's hand. Derrick looked over at the Doctor, as he seemed to be wrapping up.

"There you are, all back together again." Rena said, looking at the stitches. He touched them, checking for puffiness, and drainage. "There might be swelling for a couple of days, I would use dry dressing, nothing cotton. We'll give you a few. No lifting or moving things about. You might tear them open. Remember what I said, any deeper and this would have required surgery. I want you to stay off your feet for a few days."

"How many days is a few?" Ty asked.

"Oh, at least until after the first part of next week." Rena answered Ty's question. He looked at Derrick again. "Any drainage or blood, come right back here. You're going to stiff and sore for a while. Don't overdo it. And I'm sorry, but no extracurricular activity for a while."

"Aw, poor baby." Ty whispered.

"Thanks, jerk." Derrick said. He sighed, and looked up at Rena again. "When do they come out?"

"I would say in about ten days. No baths, hot tubs, or pools. You can shower in twenty four hours. I would suggest a waterproof dressing for the first time. Your primary care doctor can remove these, or you can return here."

"Can I do it at home? I've got plenty of pliers." Ty grinned.

"I would suggest those big channel type ones, the ones plumbers use?" Rena said, giving a strange look and then smiled.

"Oh wow." Derrick rolled his eyes. "I get it at home, and I get it here." Derrick just shook his head as Ty chuckled.

"I'll write out all of the instructions for you." Rena said, patting Derrick's shoulder. He walked through the curtain out of site.

"How many stitches?"

"I think he said fourteen."

"What?" Ty asked, squeezing tighter.

"Easy...easy. I'm not in any shape to wrestle someone else right now." Derrick winced. The curtain pulled back and Murray walked up to the end of the bed.

"He's a good doctor." Murray said. "He's patched me up a few times."

"He seems to be a good guy." Derrick said, looking at Murray, giving him a brief smile.

"So, you want to tell me what happened?"

"I walked into my office, he was apparently hiding behind the door. He started talking, telling me how I ruined him, destroyed his life. He said he had made it look like I had killed Calvin, and that Kathy knew." Derrick said.

"He told you that?" Murray asked.

"He did." Derrick was getting madder by the moment. "You know, you got there really quick."

"New travels fast on a radio."

"Bullshit." Derrick said. Derrick swung his legs off the side of the hospital bed. Ty was trying to hold him back, but help him at the same time. "You used me, you had the pressure on him, he knew it, and you used me as bait to draw him out, that's why you were close."

"Playing detective, again?"

"It only makes sense. You don't have to be a detective to see that. You might have gotten someone in my office hurt or killed. And what if he had a move at my house? If he had gotten hurt," Derrick said pointing toward Ty, "God help you, Murray."

"We were close, yes, but I didn't want to use you as bait. That was not what I was doing."

"Somehow I wish I could believe you." Derrick said shaking his head. "So what are you charging him with?"

"Murder," Murray gave a faint smile, Derrick's eyes narrowed, and Ty's went wide, "make no mistake, he murdered your ex-partner. Now that we have him in custody, we can check his prints against that set that Lance couldn't identify at the murder scene."

"What about Kathy?" Derrick asked.

"She's involved as well. We need a little more time to prove it, that's all." Murray could see Derrick was going to say something else, but held up his hand. "He's also being charged with attempted murder, assault, breaking and entering, and a few other things. He won't be getting out anytime soon."

"So, I guess I'll have to go to court?"

"Nope, not unless you want to watch. There's too much against him. No need for you to testify."

"Hmmm." Derrick said, and then looked at Ty, then back to Murray. "Then I guess we won't be seeing you again?"

"Well, I may drop by for coffee, now and then." Murray smirked.

Derrick returned the smirk. "You're more than welcome anytime, Lieutenant." Derrick stretched out his hand. Murray took it, giving it only a grasp, because of the stitches. Murray reached out took Ty's hand.

"Keep him in line, Mr. Caldwell. His detective days are over."

"Don't worry about that, Lieutenant," Ty said, "from now on, I'm watching him like a hawk."

"You're a good man." Murray said, taking his hand back. He looked at Derrick, "And so are you. I appreciate all the help you gave." Murray nodded and then walked out.

"I'll be damned." Derrick said, shaking his head.

"What?"

"He finally got the last word in." Derrick chuckled, and Ty just shook his head.

Conner looked at his phone. 2:20 p.m. Conner set the phone down on the kitchen bar counter. He heard the knob try and turn. He smiled. Then he heard the knock. Conner went to the door, knowing that Alec didn't have the key, as Conner forgot to give him one off the ring last night.

"Who is it?" Conner sang on his side of the door.

"It's me."

"Me who?"

"If you don't open this door..." Alec stopped as Conner opened the door, standing behind it. Alec stepped in, as Conner closed it. Alec's eyes went wide seeing Conner, only in his underwear. They were less than bikini, but more than a G-string, and sheer, Alec could see everything, and his mouth fell open. "Wow." Alec said softly, stepping toward Conner. Conner held out his arms, stopping him.

"Uh uh." Conner grinned. "Not yet, tiger. Turn around." Alec couldn't take his eyes off Conner, and slowly turned around. His mouth fell open again as he stepped forward. "Shoes." Conner said. Alec kicked off his shoes on the tile and walked over seeing the couch and love seat. He saw the dining set and something else and walked over to the sideboard that was against the wall. He ran his fingers over the top, and looked at Conner. His eyes glinted with excitement. Conner smiled. "Did I do good?" Conner gave him that little boy look. Alec nodded and walked over toward him. "Nope." Conner put up his hands. Alec stopped, pouting. "Come with me." Conner took one of Alec's hands and pulled him down the hall, and stopped at the bedroom door. Alec was watching Conner's ass in the sheer underwear and was getting worked up quickly. Conner turned around, looking at him, seeing him boned in his jeans. "Hey, I'm up here." Conner said. Alec lifted his eyes. "Now, close your eyes."

"What?"

"Close your eyes." Conner said, dragging it out long. Alec closed then then huffed. Conner opened the door and led Alec in and stopped him, then Conner got behind him. "Now, open them." Conner whispered. Alec opened them and gasped. He looked at it all and then turned and looked at Conner. Alec threw his arms around Conner's neck, and then looked back at everything. "I guess you like it."

"Like it? It's beautiful." Alec walked over to the bed, touching the footboard, running his fingers along it. "And you got sheets."

"Well, can't have sex on a bare mattress, I mean you can, but it might make you raw a little bit, and..." Conner was cut off by Alec turning and kissing Conner deeply, wrapping his arms around Conner's neck. Alec was rubbing his crotch against Conner's as he tongued Conner furiously. Conner slowly got Alec off of him. He started to strip Alec as he stood there, tossing his shirt away. "First things first, mister. You smell like your store and sweat. I mean, it's hot and all, but not on the new sheets." Conner wiggled his eyebrows. "Let's go try out the new shower."

"First." Alec grinned, as he slowly dropped to his knees. "I want to take this in view." Alec was running his hands up and down Conner's thighs, staring at the sheer underwear, seeing Conner was beginning to rise in them, stretching them out. "Where did you get these?"

"You like?"

"No, I love." Alec said, just staring at them. He leaned forward and put his mouth to them, mouthing Conner's growing length, then reached up and cradled his balls. Conner moaned at the touch.

"There's a little shop in New York, I stopped at before coming back. I wanted to save these for a special occasion."

"Well," Alec said as he pulled his mouth back for a moment, "I think you need to call them and order a full case of them. I don't want you to wear anything else ever again." Alec said, as he started running his mouth over Conner's bulge again.

"Come on. Shower." Conner said, lifting Alec up the armpits. Conner led Alec to the bathroom and went up and turned on the shower. Conner stood there on the platform as Alec was undoing his pants and getting out of them, and then his socks, and then his own hot underwear. Conner watched Alec's gorgeous tight muscular body come up the step to him, as Conner stepped back into the spray of the head, it was a large showerhead that flowed gently. Conner let it flow over the top of his head as Alec walked in, getting wet as well, and they fell into another deep kiss. Hands were everywhere all at once, feeling, groping, pulling, fondling. Conner pulled back as Alec was reaching in and releasing Conner from the sheer fabric, tilting his head back moaning.

"You said we were going to fuck in every room of the apartment." Alec said as he chewed on Conner's neck.

"Yeah, but we need to go...ah,....and get...stuff."

"Later, fuck the stuff." Alec was moving up to Conner's right ear, tonguing it furiously. "We'll go, after you fuck me, a few times, starting with right here."

"Oh God." Conner groaned, running a hand into Alec's ass, fingering his hole. "Okay." Conner whispered and then kissed Alec deeply again.

Ty pulled into the driveway of the house, as Derrick was leaned back in the passenger seat. Ty pulled to the circular driveway, and then backed the truck up the driveway toward the back door. He parked and got out quickly, coming around to Derrick's side. Ty helped him get out. Derrick was smiling at him.

"I'm not crippled you know." Derrick said as he got out on his own. Ty seemed a little deflated and then just tried to walk Derrick slowly toward the steps. Derrick took his time going up the steps, with Ty holding his arm for support. They opened the back door and went in. The house was so quiet. "I could really use a drink." Derrick said, softly.

"How about some coffee instead?"

"Well, its five o'clock somewhere, and I think I've earned it today."

Ty chuckled. "I guess you have. Alright, I'll go make you one. But, only one." Ty gave him a stern look.

"Yes, Doctor." Derrick said, as they walked toward the living room. Ty let him go, but watched him as Derrick went to the couch. "I wanted to talk to you." Derrick said, as he slowly settled himself on the couch, near the arm.

"Oh?" Ty said, as he came over with a tall drink, handing it to Derrick. Derrick looked at it.

"Wow." Derrick said, as he took it. "Is there any left?" Ty chuckled at him again, sitting next to Derrick.

"What did you want to talk about?"

"The structure." Derrick took a sip from his glass. "I needed that, thanks."

"You're welcome." Ty said, as he waited, crossing a leg under him on the cushion so he could see Derrick full on.

"I have been thinking about it. I know you build and you have talked a few times about building cabinets and furniture and what not. What if we were to take the structure and turn it into a shop for you?"

"What about you working from home?"

"That's not going to happen for a while now. We both know that, and we talked about it." Derrick took another sip. "I was thinking that it might go to better use for you. You really built it."

"No, I helped."

"No, sweetheart, you built it. I may have framed the walls, but you took the plan and really did it. And you made my dream come true with what you did. The doors that you designed, I never could have designed that. You have the touch, the gift of sight with it and what I wanted, but didn't have it on paper. You are so, so talented, and I love you so much for that. It's yours, if you want to use it."

"Well, that's nice and all, and I really appreciate it, but, I started rocking the wall. It will be the shits if I get sawdust in it. We'll never get it clean." Ty smiled.

"Hell, didn't think of that." Derrick shook his head.

"So, I think we should just keep going with it, and get it ready for the intended use. But, here's an idea, we could take the guys room and make it an office for you, here in the house, and use the structure for a guest house, so when we have people come, they have their own place. After all, there's plenty of room out there."

"That never occurred to me either. Good idea. And then it could be an office later on, if things change." Derrick smiled, and leaned toward Ty. Ty saw it and met him more than half way, kissing him. Ty smacked his lips after the kiss.

"Scotch." Ty said in a whisper.

"I'm sorry."

"I'm only kidding." Ty said, winking. "I would run my tongue down your throat no matter what you tasted like."

"Hmmm, I'll remember that." Derrick smiled, as the phone rang.

"I'll get it." Ty said, getting up off the couch. He picked up the phone, and looked at Derrick as he pushed the button. "Jacobson Manor." Ty said, sounding official. Derrick chuckled. "Yes? He's a little indisposed right now."

"Who is it?" Derrick asked. Ty covered the phone.

"It's Terry." Ty said, smiling. Derrick shook his head, holding out his hand. Ty walked over and handed him the phone.

"What's up, bud?" Derrick asked, and then listened. "There's a spare in my desk drawer...you don't have to do that, bud." Derrick said, watching Ty, as he was taking Derrick's shoes and socks off his feet. "I think that's sweet and all, but don't go out of your way on my account...okay...I'm learning not to argue with people," Derrick said, as he watched Ty undo his pants and unzip them, "alright, then I'll see you a little later then...what? Who?...seriously? Well, good job, bud. Okay, see you in a bit, and I appreciate it, bud. Bye." Derrick hung up the phone, looking at Ty. "Remember what the Doctor said, no extracurricular activity."

"I'm not getting you undressed for sex, babe." Ty said with a frown. "I wish. I'm getting you undressed to get you comfortable, that's all. Maybe we could watch an old movie later and just have a quiet evening together. I'll get some take out."

"No taco trucks." Derrick said, as he slowly stood.

"Wow, really know how to hurt a guy, don't you?"

"Only with love, sweets, only with love." Derrick said, as Ty pulled the shirt off Derrick's shoulders.

"Does it hurt?"

"Only when I laugh."

"Okay, I won't be funny." Ty said. "What did Terry want?"

"He's worried about the car being in the parking lot over the weekend. Thinks something might happen to it. He's bringing it here, along with someone else."

"Oh, who?"

"A girl. His date." Derrick looked at the ripped up shirt, taking it from Ty. "Well, this one's done."

"Should keep it for a souvenir."

"Cute." Derrick said, and walked toward the bedroom. "What did you have in mind to make me comfortable?"

"Oh, some shorts, I guess and maybe a baggy tee shirt, if you own one." Ty said. Derrick chuckled again, and Derrick winced from the stitches.

They were settled on the couch, Derrick propped with a few pillows. Ty was checking the dressing for drainage and bleeding, as he was instructed by the nurses, and then sealed up the dressing when the doorbell rang. Ty looked at Derrick and kissed him on the cheek, getting up to answer it.

"Hey, how are you?" Ty said, opening the door. "Come on in." Ty stepped out of the way, and Derrick looked up and saw Terry and Annie Beckett standing there.

"Hey, bud. Hi, Annie." Derrick said as he started to get up. Ty shut the door and walked around them to get to him. "I'm alright, sweetie."

"Derrick, are you alright?" Annie asked as she walked up to him, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm alright." Derrick smiled. "Can we get you guys something?"

"No, boss, we're fine." Terry said.

"Terry told me about what happened. My God, I couldn't believe it."

"Happens." Derrick smiled.

"Only to you." Ty said, as he rolled his eyes. Derrick just gave him a stern look, then looked at her.

"So, your father tried to steal him from me, are you trying to as well?" Derrick grinned. Annie looked at Terry, smiling and then back at Derrick.

"Nah, I'm only stealing him for myself. Anybody that can stand up to Dad, has got to have a big set." She said, winking at Derrick. Derrick chuckled and leaned to her ear.

"They're made of steel." Derrick whispered.

"Ooooh." She said, and went back over and took Terry by the arm. "Then we won't keep you any longer." She wiggled a little holding him.

"Where are you guys going?" Derrick asked.

"I was thinking about this little place I know on the other side of town."

"Oh, take her to Lozano's, Terry. Tell Emilio you work for me, he'll give you the best table in the house." Derrick smiled, and then winked. "You like Italian, right?" They both nodded. "Good. It's Friday night. Everything will be crowded. My table is always reserved, no one ever sits at it."

"Alright, I'll take her." Terry said, looking down at her, smiling, and then back at Derrick. "I can come by and check on you this weekend, boss."

"That's sweet, but you may have your hands full, and we can manage." Derrick said and winked. "And you, missy, take it easy on him, and tell your Dad I said hi." She smiled and squeezed Terry's arm with hers. They opened the door and left.

"She seems to know you very well." Ty asked. "Who is she?"

"You know Sam Beckett?" Derrick asked getting back on the couch. Ty nodded. "That's his daughter, Annie."

"That little tom-boy that used to run around on job sites?"

"That is her."

"Wow. She grew up." Ty smiled.

"Yeah, she's a little cutie." Derrick settled on the couch. "What were you thinking for take out?"

"You mentioned Chinese before I drug you to the Mexican restaurant. Is that alright?"

"Yeah, that sounds fine. We can watch an old movie and sit around and use chopsticks."

"My kind of evening, chopsticks, eating out of the carton at the coffee table. I might convert to slobhood after all."

"Don't push it." Derrick frowned. Ty chuckled.

"You want it now, or a little bit later?"

"I'd like something else right now." Derrick said, lifting an eyebrow.

"The Doctor said..."

"Not me, you." Derrick said, wiggling a finger at Ty. Ty came over. Derrick reached up his hand and undid the button on Ty's cargos, and unzipped them, letting them drop to the floor. Ty watched as Derrick pulled on his length, making it get firmer. "Now, get up here and straddle over my face. After I've blown you a few times, we can talk about dinner."

"What about you?"

"If you blow me, it'll make me breathe hard, and maybe pull my stitches. Now, get up here. I want you in my mouth. I can breathe through my nose."

"Can't argue with that." Ty whispered, and then got up on the couch over Derrick's face.

•********************

"Oh, God...Conner...oh...yes....yes..." Alec was panting out breath as he was draped over the arm of the couch, his legs up in the air, his head and shoulder on the cushion.

"You love it, don't you?" Conner said, as he pushed in deeper, and then pulled out almost all of the way of Alec, than slid back to the hilt. Conner was holding Alec by the thighs, resting Alec's calves against his chest as he slid in and out.

"Conner,...you're going to...make me...uh...uh..." Alec moaned loudly, feeling it build in him again, "fuck me...fuck me harder....uh..." Alec panted. Conner saw his face, as it reddened, knowing. Conner moved faster, slamming his hips into Alec's ass, pounding him. Alec almost screamed at it, "yes...yes...uuhhh...I'm...cuuuu..." Conner felt Alec clamp on him deep inside, as he pushed through it, rubbing against Alec's throbbing prostate. Alec's eyes rolled back in his head and he pulsed out, shooting all over his own face and hair and the new couch. Conner loved it as Alec's cock flexed and pumped again and again without being touched. Conner groaned and shot as well, thrusting inward, burying his length to the hilt and staying still. It made Conner ache.

"Oh fuck, babe." Conner said as he gently stroked Alec's thighs up and down slowly, as his orgasm subsided. Conner was easing in his breathing, looking down at the love of his life. Alec was still red faced, his chest heaving still. Conner reached down and grabbed Alec by the wrists and pulled, swinging him back up on the arm of couch. Conner was trying to stay inside of Alec. Alec was limp in his hands. Conner wrapped his arms around him to hold him up.

"I can't get my...breath." Alec said, tilting his head back, his mouth wide open. "Dizzy."

"It was all the blood going to your head. Give it a minute. I've got you." Conner held him, and slowly slid out of Alec, and Conner was able to stand. He turned Alec's head to the side and held him close around the shoulders. Conner waited a couple of minutes while Alec was able to get his breathing back under control.

"Wow," Alec said, "that was incredible. You've never pounded my spot like that before."

Conner chuckled. "Maybe we should order a sling. Hang it out on the balcony."

"Oh yeah, like that's gonna work. You want to get us kicked out of here before we've been here for a week?"

"Such a party pooper." Conner sighed.

"And you're a sex fiend." Alec chuckled, wrapping his arms around Conner's hips, tickling his butt with fingertips.

"Talk about sex fiends, who's playing with who's butt?"

"It's so cute, it's hard not to touch it." Alec whispered. Conner smiled and looked down. He saw strands of cum in Alec's hair. Conner bent down and pulled them out with his lips, then tongued them into his mouth. "What are you doing?" Alec asked.

"Preening." Conner chuckled.

"What?"

"Getting the cum out of your hair." Conner said, as Alec tilted his head back. "Do you know how beautiful you really are?"

"No, I'm not beautiful."

"The fuck you're not." Conner said. "You have the most beautiful eyes. I wish we could make kids together, and that they looked like you."

"You want kids?"

"Yeah, if they looked like you. A little boy." Conner grinned. "To play with on the floor, with his toys, rough house, tickle him, little league. Yeah, I'd want kids."

"I never knew that. When we go to my parent's house for dinner one night, there will be plenty of kids around. My parents are big time grandparents."

"Really? I think that's so awesome. I would love to."

"And they would love you." Alec smiled, his eyes got warm all over again. "Now, shall we go try out our new bed?"

"Seriously?" Conner had a blank look, "I don't think I can. It aches right now. I need a little time. Fuck, you made me cum what four times?"

"Five. At the bathroom sink?" Alec grinned.

"Five. Jesus, don't you get enough?"

"Never, never, never get enough of you, sexy man. I'll be having you fuck my brains out sixty years from now, it will never be enough."

"Oh boy, gonna need more vitamins." Conner smiled briefly. "Speaking of that, we need to get going. Let's go over to the mall."

"The mall?"

"Yeah, the mall. I had an idea."

"Oh shit. Your ideas cost money."

"Well, you want stuff to cook with don't you?"

"Yeah."

"There's only one place I can think of that will have everything you want or need."

"That Kitchen Shoppe, isn't it?"

"That would be the place, babe." Conner grinned and wiggled his eyebrows. "Let's go. Then we need to go by the studio and get your clothes, we'll take some of my bags to pack in." Conner backed up, letting Alec go. "Can you walk?"

"It may look a little funny, but yeah. Let me go to the bathroom. I'll be out in a few minutes." Alec staggered off toward the bedroom. Conner was smiling wide, seeing Alec walking.

"Oh, and I started a list." Conner called out after him.

"Oh that's great." Alec called back from the bathroom. Conner chuckled as he went to the bedroom, slipping into his pants. "Thank God there's a part of a roll in here." Alec said. "I'm leaking out all over." Conner chuckled again.

"I can pull out next time, you know."

"Not if you want to stay with me, you won't pull out."

"Well then don't bitch." Conner grinned.

"I was thinking I need more like a butt plug."

"Oooh, there's an idea." Conner said. "We could go there too. They're open 24 hours you know."

"Another time." Alec whined. "Let's just get this over with."

"Okay. Oh, forgot to tell you, I asked Ty to borrow the truck on Sunday to move your stuff." Conner said, as he heard the toilet flush. Alec came to door, looking a little pale. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Alec rolled his head around." He was okay with that?"

"He was more than okay with it, I told him that I'd have the chef prepare something."

"What?" Alec's eyes went wide. "You want to do a dinner?"

"I didn't say dinner. I said 'something'. We can do like something out of the freezer, you know?"

"Over my dead body!" Alec's face totally changed. "We gotta go. If Derrick and Ty are coming here, we gotta go!"

"Uh, babe?" Conner said.

"What?"

"Uh, clothes? That'd be a good idea, first."

"Fuck!" Alec threw up his hands.

"I need to go check the mailbox real quick." Conner said. "I'll be right back."

"I'll be ready."

"Okay." Conner grabbed keys and walked out. He came back a few minutes later carrying envelops. He handed one to Alec. "Mr. Alec Marquez."

"What's this?"

"A license to be dangerous." Conner wiggled his eyebrows, opening his. "Tada! Bank cards! No more checkbook! Follow the ground rules, and everything will be alright." Conner said, raising his eyebrow. "Keep all receipts, log it into the book when you get home, and do the math, so we know where we are. But anything that you need or want, unless it's big, I think we should talk about it first, okay?"

"Perfect."

"Good. I knew I loved you for a reason." Conner wrapped his arms around Alec and kissed him. "Let's go."

"Anything? Want or need?" Alec asked.

"Anything babe. That's not so hard, is it?"

"Just scary, that's all. Do me a favor, okay?"

"Sure."

"Don't leave me at the kitchen place alone." Alec was serious, Conner broke out laughing as they climbed into the car.

"Deal." Conner said as they pulled out of the parking lot.
