20 years after finding Walter's Journal, Mike finally gets his answers. Walter sits down with Mike and Andrew and tells them exactly what happened on that summer day in 1922. Mike also meets the man he saw in the car on the day he interviewed Walter.
Mike interviews Hank and returns home to write his article. He buys one of Hank's books and starts to read it, it sounds vaguely familiar. He and Andrew suddenly figure out why.
Mike is worried about why Chuck is concerned with his relationship with Andrew. Mike's articles keep getting bigger. Mike and Andrew go back to Westburg for Mike's high school reunion, only to learn some disturbing news. Mike next assignment is one that a first reporter could handle, but he covers it anyway.
Mike is excited when Chuck gives him his first real writing assignment. He has to go to Nashville to cover the elections and asks Andrew to go along, just to get his mind of not being able to find a job yet. Mike takes the opportunity to meet with Chucks friend in the state records department and finds some more info on Walter.
After Mike's big story, Andrew gives a very thoughtful gift. Mike tells Chuck about the journal and Chuck immediately gives Mike some new tips on finding information. Mike finds more clues and is soon has his future planned out. Andrew is not as lucky.
Mike and Andrew return to their home and get back into their routine. As the school years progresses, Mike finds a fellow student that could use some help. He puts everything he has learned from college and from Chuck into practice.
Mike learns why his mom was so upset when she called and immediately goes home. A quick trip back to Memphis to pick up Andrew and he introduces him to his mom. It doesn't go as Mike had expected.
Mike and Andrew find a little more information on Walter but are still no closer to solving the mystery. They decide to take the next step in their relationship and Mike takes the next step in his career. Before he starts his second year of classes, he gets some bad news for home.

Within a few weeks, he meets a new friend that will help him with that research, and maybe something more.
Mike continues his search but soon gets busy with high school. He discovers his passion and soon decides on a career path. The four friends spend a final night in the shed and all head off to college.
Mike and Kyle talk to the sheriff to see if he has information on Walter or Ellis. Mike also makes a trip to the city office. Bug and Murph return from their time away and Mike introduces them to Kyle.
Mike and Kyle start to search for answers after the journal ended. They also find a little time to explore some of the other things that Walter mentioned in the journal.
Mike does a little research on homosexual laws at the library. He and Kyle continue to read Walter's journal. Walter and Ellis continue to take their exploration to next level. Mike and Kyle get to the last entry in the journal, leaving them with lots of questions.
Mike and Kyle continue to read more of Walter's journal. They soon learn how much they really have in common with Walter and Ellis. New feeling and long talks between both sets of boys only serve to unite them as Mike and Kyle learn more.
Mike finally gets a chance to start reading Walter's Journal. He starts to get a clearer picture of what growing up in the 1920s was like. After Murph and Bug tall Mike they are going to be gone for the two weeks, Mike makes a new friend and continues to read more of the journal.

Teddy continues to explore new things. He makes some new friends when he joins a bowling league. CJ begins to worry when Teddy doesn't come home after his last night of bowling.
As the group gets settled into their house, Teddy goes home to see his family and let them know about Dom. He goes through the next school year still searching for his Mr. Right. Meg and Brad surprise him when CJ and Wendy go out of town for the weekend.
Teddy and CJ go home for Thanksgiving and Teddy tells his parents about Dom. He is a little surprised by their reaction. The gang gets through their first year of college and make plans for their summer.
Teddy is happy to finally be in a relationship and he and Dom continue to get to know each other. Everyone finds their partner when Meg introduces her friends to the group. The first semester speeds along and everyone heads home for Thanksgiving break.
