****Scene 1: Hope Spencer’s POV**********************

DeVille Mansion,                                                                                                                             14201 Glen Oaks Drive,

I was in a good mood…..a really good mood. It was perhaps the best mood I’d been in, in a very, very long time. I was driving up Glen Oaks Drive to the DeVille Mansion. The three-story all brick Georgian style DeVille mansion is situated in Glen Oaks in a fashionable part of Harmony. Whereas the Chandler mansion is an English Gothic style almost castle-like structure situated on the outskirts of Harmony on an island, DeVille Manor on the other hand is a little more modern (if you can call a red brick Georgian style mansion modern). This fact doesn’t prevent DeVille Manor from being called all kinds of names by the locals including the haunted house, the bowls of hell, and the house of horrors.

DeVille Manor was considered to be a truly terrifying place; there was reported to have been countless violent acts that have occurred in the manor; ranging from murder, to suicide, torture, and far, far worse. But I wasn’t afraid of all that; I was the police commissioner and I had decided that I would personally visit that house of horrors with a couple of trusted officers so that I could search that monstrosity for anything connecting the DeVilles to the Harmony Prom boat bomb. I drove up to the front entrance to the house, got out of the squad car and walked up to the doors and knocked hard.

It took a while for someone to open the door………. You would think that a house as big as the DeVille Manor would have at least one member of the staff who could open the door. But no one came to the door so I kept knocking and knocking until I heard the door opening. When I saw who was on the other end of the door I gasped. It was Regina……….Regina DeVille.

“Well don’t just stand there gasping Commissioner.” Regina smirked. “You must have some reason for driving all the way over here with these two burly men. I suppose it has something to do with that unfortunate Prom night.”

Seeing Regina threw me off; because I was not expecting for her to answer the door but she did. All I could say was “What are you doing here?”

“Commissioner you do realize I live here.” Regina sneered. “I’m the one who should be asking you what you are doing here……You are standing on my doorstep after all.”

“Yes I do realize that Mrs. DeVille….”

“I’m here on official business……My men need to search the property for anything that could help in the prom boat bomb case. And before you ask Judge Aldridge issued a warrant this morning.”

“Commissioner you and the boys in blue are welcome to search each and every room in this mansion. You can take as long as you like. Hypothetically speaking if I were involved in that awful bomb on that prom boat it would be very hard to find anything connecting me too it even if you throw in the nameless John Doe you have in lockup.”

“Well then hypothetically speaking I would have to base the whole case on the word of a couple of kids……trustworthy kids……Hypothetically speaking that is.” I replied sarcastically. The police department had not released any information connecting the John Doe to the Prom-boat bomb so I knew that Regina had found out this little tid-bit of information through other means. Illegal means no doubt.

“One more thing, Commissioner.” Regina smiled, as I turned around, just as I had begun my ascent up the stairs to the second floor.

“Yes,”

“I just want you to tell your men not to break anything in here….. Everything in here is very expensive furthermore please don’t take too long I’d really rather be alone in this time sorrow.”

“What do you mean time of sorrow?” I scoffed loudly. “Regina what are you talking about? Please don’t tell me your mourning because of this failed attempt to wreck this town to the core.”

“No Hope,” she said, calling me by my first-name and sending shivers up my spine. “If you must know I’m in mourning for my dead husband.”

“What do you mean your dead husband?” I laughed. “You can’t be talking about Alistair…….an atomic bomb couldn’t kill him. You must be talking about some other husband. Right?”

“No I’m talking about my recently departed husband……My sweet Alistair who was taken in the prime of his life. Any good wife would mourn the loss of her husband.” Regina said trying to look as sincere as possible.

“I don’t think anyone in this town, of even the world for that matter, as ever used the words sweet and Alistair in the same sentence to describe your husband….ever. What do mean he’s dead?” I added. I hadn’t seen Alistair DeVille around in a almost a month, but I had really jumped to the conclusion that he was dead because I was certain he was trying to avoid the authorities because of his connection with the prom boat bomb.

“What do you mean he’s dead?”

“Ask your sweet daughter and her wonderful friends……….I’m sure they can elaborate far more on this story then I can.” Regina smirked. I paid her no attention, instead choosing to walk upstairs and search the upstairs while the two officers I had with me started searching the first floor.

****Scene 2: Kayla’s POV**********************

Lila’s Coffee Shop,                                                                                                                                16 Wharf Street,

Eric and Mike had both called me this morning telling me that they had something very important to tell all of us. I didn’t know who all of us included but apparently I was one of all of us. I showered, put on an outfit, changed said outfit a few times until finally I settled on something that was appropriate to meet friends. I think while I was driving towards Lila’s Eric or Mike called me again….but I just told him that I was on the way and for them to not get their banana hammocks in a twist.

When I got there I realized that I was a tad bit late. Eric, Mike, Kevin, Jake, and Brett were all already there. They were chatting it up over a few cups of piping hot coffee. “Well it looks like you guys are having a good time.” I smiled as I sat down next to Kevin.

I ordered a cup of coffee and waited for Mike and Eric to drop the bombshell news on us. Bombshell probably wasn’t a good word to use considering what had almost happened to us a few short weeks ago.

“Well Eric and I have some very big news to tell you all. You guys already know that Eric and I were planning on getting married after we had the first semester of college under our belt. Well there’s been a slight change of plans.”

“What do you mean change of plans?” I asked. “You guys I have been waiting for you guys to get married for months now. Don’t tell me you guys are pushing it back until next year.”

“More like bumping it up to this weekend or next week at the latest.” Eric chuckled.

“What do you mean this weekend?” I cried.

“I thought you guys were going to wait a little while,” Kevin interjected.

“Yeah, we were,” Eric chuckled, as he threw his arm around Mike and pulled him closer to him. “But I can’t wait any longer. I’ve got to marry this guy right now,” As Eric pulled Mike closer to him, Mike’s chair made a loud screeching sound on the floor and caused several of the coffee shops patrons to turn and stare.

A few awwwws and cooing sounds came from a table of high school aged girls who thought it was so cute for two sexy guys to be all over each other. They weren’t even all over each other, Eric just had his arm around Mike as a sign that he was taken.

This caused Eric and Mike to blush a little while I rolled my eyes. Typical, just typical Eric was all about showing off. I think he’d even fuck Mike right there on the table if he could so that they would all know that Mike was his.

“So you guys are getting married….within a week.” I gasped. “This is going to be one stressful week. I’ve never been married but from all those Bridezilla horror stories it must be very fun,”

“Yeah, it should,” Mike smiled, as he kissed Eric on the cheek. He obviously sensed the sarcasm in my last words.

My grandparents can throw together a fantastic reception and wedding.” Mike added.

“Ok that’s great, but what about the night before the wedding…….what about the bachelor party? I’ve always wanted to host one of those things.” I smiled.

“We can’t just have one…….” Jake blurted. “We have to have two…..one for Eric and one for Mike. This is going to be your last night as freemen you have to live a little. It’s going to be a blast and I’m going to make sure you guys have loads of fun.

“Jake I think they might have more loads on their wedding night, “Brett laughed, clearly hinting at something else. But how are you going to have individual bachelor parties when you all have mutual friends?”

“Did I hear something about a bachelor party?” a voice said. We turned around to see Haley Macy standing over us. “I couldn’t help but overhear you guys talking about having two separate bachelor parties…….If you don’t mind I would like to throw an idea out there.”

“Why don’t I host Eric’s bachelor party and Kayla can host Mike and then at the end of the night the two parties can meet up and go from there.” Haley added.

“Thanks so much for the offer but I think we’ll pass.” I scoffed.

“No, hold on I like the idea.” Mike blurted. “We should at least hear her out.”

“Ok fine,” I groaned. “Mike your two nice for your own damn good sometimes.”

“I want to do this for you guys.” Haley continued. “It’s’ the least I could do. I have to find some way to make up for the hell that I put you through with my lies. Eric I want to host your bachelor party……it’s the least I could do.”

“Ok on one condition,” I grinned. “Tell us who you were working with……Tell us who got you to try to break up Eric and Mike.”

“I really want to…..I’m really sorry for what I did.” Haley cried. “But I can’t. I just can’t. If I tell you guys the whole story the truth she will find out and then my mother is the one who’s going to be paying the price.”

“Just let me do this one thing.” Haley sighed.

“Haley I’m all for it.” Mike smiled.

“Me too.” Eric added, as he kissed Mike yet again.

After that Haley got her coffee and left. My friends and I sat inside of Lila’s and chatted for a few more minutes until I heard my phone vibrate. I had received a text from an anonymous number asking to meet me in the park. I don’t normally respond to texts from strangers but it said it was urgent so simply couldn’t resist. “Guys I have to go.” I sighed.

Because the docks were only a few blocks away from the park I decided to walk over there instead of driving. When I got there I received yet another text, telling me to meet at this very secluded part of the park. When I got to the assigned area of the park where I was supposed to meet this stranger I looked around and found that it was barely any people in it.

I was slightly ticked off because I thought that the person had not really shown up and they were just messing with me. But then that’s when I saw her approaching from one of the dirt paths. It was Regina……….Regina DeVille.

“What the HELL are you doing here?!?!” I yelled out. “I was so fucking over this insane woman and her crazy ass family.”

“What am I doing?” Regina asked herself. “Sweetheart I called you here so that we could have a private conversation.”

“Lady I don’t want to have anything to do with you…” I cried. “I don’t even want to breathe the same air as you.”

“Well I’m sure that can be arranged my dear.” Regina smiled coldly. “But that’s not why I called you here. I called you here so that I could help you.”

“Help me?!?!” I laughed. “How in the hell could you help me. Second question how the hell did you get my phone number.”

“Never mind that girl I have my ways.” She said cutting me off. “I came here because I wanted to make a deal with you. I’m trying to save you.”

“What?!?!” I cried. “How could you possibly save or help me. I know you don’t know me pretty well but I know you and I know that I would be a fool to trust you.”

“Trust me I know the youngest daughter of Hope Spencer pretty well.” She grinned. “Well unless you and your friends want to end up in prison for murder by Christmas time, you have no choice but to trust Me.” she laughed.

“What do you mean?”

“You and your friends KILLED my husband!!!” Regina yelled back. “He’s dead because of you. But I’m willing to set that all aside if you will get your mother to drop this case.”

“I can’t do that!” I yelled. “They have witnesses and evidence. We never meant to hurt your husband, we were afraid he was going to hurt our friend. We only pushed him, how could we have known he was going to fall and hit his head.”

“Well he did and now he’s at the bottom of the sea thanks to you and your friends.” Regina replied rudely. “Get your friends to say that you never saw me and my husband there that night or I will be forced to tell your sweet mother that her daughter and her friends are all murderers.”

“Fine, I’ll do it.”

****Scene 3: Mike’s POV (The Following day)**********************

Chandler Mansion,                                                                                                                   Raven Hill Island,

In the last few months so many things have happened to me and my friends: Eric and I started dating; my parents and moved back into the mansion with my grandparents at the assistance of my grandfather; Eric and I graduated from high school and we would be starting College in less than a month; Kevin finally found the courage to ask out Kayla after years of pinning over her; but best of all Eric and I were now engaged and we were about to be married any day now.

Eric was living between my house and his own; but he usually spent the night at mine. In my bed. But today he went out early in the morning; I guess he was just getting ready for our pending wedding. But it was the perfect time to tell my family that we wanted to get married as soon as possible. My grandmother was ecstatic when I told her I had gotten engaged; my grandfather far from his serious stern self was actually very excited about the idea. While my parents had accepted the fact that their son would be marrying a guy. But I had a strong feeling that my mother had reservations against the whole thing. Even if she really did, I couldn’t let that stop me from living my life and being happy with Eric.

When I woke up I went first to my parents’ bedroom and after that to my grandparent’s bedroom. They were both not in their rooms so I asked our family’s long-term butler Henderson, where they were. He informed me that both my grandparents and my parents were in the den having breakfast. Peering through the opened doors I could see that my parents, grandparents, my aunt, and elder sister were all sitting around with varying breakfast related foods I walked into the room and all of them turned around, smiled at me and greeted me with the usual good mornings. I hadn’t expected to see my elder sister Emily there; because she was known to spend all night partying downtown and all morning sleeping off her hangovers. But there she was.

“Hello, little brother.” My sister Emily giggled. “I thought you and Eric were glued at the hip; it seems kind of strange that he’s not here with you. Where is he?”

“Oh, he had to go out for a little while.” I replied. “He’s just getting ready.”

“Ready for what?” My mother blurted. “Is he moving into the mansion?”

“Mom, what do you mean moving in?” Emily laughed. “Eric already lives here. I can attest to it from all the noise coming from Mike’s bedroom late at night.”

“Emily, shut up,” I mouthed, as I noticed that my mother was getting slightly uncomfortable with the present conversation.

“He’s getting ready for our wedding.” I interjected, trying my hardest to change the conversation and to steer it away from my midnight romps with Eric. “Were getting married.”

“Yes son, we’re all aware of this.” My mother replied. “As if we could forget, it’s not like it’s not on the front page of every tabloid, newspaper, and magazine on the east coast.”

“No guys I know you know I’m getting married.” I smiled. “But you all think that I’m getting married in a few months but Eric and I have decided that we can’t wait. We want to get married this weekend or next week at the latest.”

“What do you mean you’re getting married this weekend!!” my mother shrieked. “I thought you told me that you were going to wait until you at least had a semester of college under your belt. What about this family’s reputation? Its future?”

“Elizabeth you don’t have to worry about this family’s future. I assure you.” My grandfather added. “Michael couldn’t ruin this family’s reputation if he tried; there are certainly other members of this family that are doing that all on their own.”

“Victor dear, don’t say such things.” My grandmother replied. “It’s a happy time.”

“Katherine you know what I mean.” My grandfather added.

“Mom I know what I said……but people still have the right to change their mind right?” I chuckled. “What can I say I’m in love? And I want to be married already.”

“My darling we are so happy for you.” My grandmother exclaimed. “You just have to let us have the wedding here at the mansion.”

“Grandmother that’s really not necessary?” I smiled. “But Eric and I wanted something small and simple.”

“Small and simple? A huh.” My aunt Victoria laughed to herself. Until now she had been sitting in silence, watching the conversation unfold. “A Chandler wedding is never a simple affair.”

“Sweetie you just have to let us have the wedding here. We can have everything ready by this weekend. The caterers, the band, and of course exquisite food. It will be the talk of the town, absolutely wonderful.”

“Thank you all,” I smiled.

“Son, I love you.” My father smiled, as he threw his arms around me to hug me. “We all love you and we just want you to be happy.”

“We all do,” My sister repeated.

****Scene 4: Chris DeVille’s POV**********************

Harmony Park,

While I was looking through my phone I got a text from Eric telling me to meet him in the park. We used to be really good friends. And by really good friends I mean we were best buds; we lied for each other, protected each other; he knew all my secrets and I thought I knew all of his…….That was until I found out he was gay. I was completely thrown off by this news……especially when he started dating Michael Chandler.

I could not wrap my head around Eric being gay. Like how could I? How could I accept the fact that he was gay when all through high school he had been a world-class player? I’m sure he’d slept with nearly every girl in high school. We used to talk all the time, but ever since Eric started dating Mike, we rarely ever talked. So I was a little confused when he texted me telling me that he wanted to meet up. But I met up anyway…………we were still friends after all. I hope.

A few minutes later I was walking through the park and I heard Eric call out to me. I turned around and there he was….

“Hey man, How you been?” he called.

“I’m good man,” I replied. “How have you been? I have seen you in a while.”

“Yeah man, I’ve been meaning to talk to you.” Eric sighed. “Yeah it’s just…..I’ve been really busy lately.”

“Yeah dude, I can tell.” I chuckled a little. “With you coming out, getting shot by your own father and then turning around and getting yourself engaged.”

“Man I still can’t for the life of me understand that you are gay.” I cried. “When you first told me that you were gay I thought you were screwing with me……..but then you kissed Michael Chandler in the front of the whole school at halftime during the powderpuff game.

“Man and you didn’t just kiss him…………..you made out with him. I thought they would have at least tried to break it up but they let you guys go at it. So I was like he must be serious…..he must really be gay. I just still can’t believe it.”

“Listen dude if you’re not cool with me being gay……………….or if you have a problem with the fact that I’m with a guy let me know now. I’ll leave…… I know it’s hard to accept it. Man do you think I wanted to be gay? I wanted to deny it for so long but after fucking so many girls you have to wake up and realize your heart just isn’t in it. Because of him I wouldn’t change it for anything.

“Man I don’t have a problem with you being gay. I have a problem with you not being honest with me and not talking to me!” I cried. “What kind of friend would I be if I stopped being friends with my best-friend just because he likes guys? Dude people call me all kinds of things…..asshole, douchebag, dick whatever you name it. But I can’t have you thinking I’m an asshole too. Were bros remember?”

“Of course I remember. How could I forget?” Eric continued. “I just thought that it would be best if I kept my distance from you. I…I…I didn’t want to mess anything up for you…..I didn’t want anyone getting any ideas that you might be gay or queer..”

“You thought it was best for who? Best for you? Because it certainly wasn’t best for me.” I shot back. “We could have talked about all of this. I needed a friend these last few months of high school and you did too…..but I guess now that you have Mike to be both friend and lover you don’t need me no more.”

“As for what people would have said….Who gives a fuck what those losers think? We’re not even in school anymore. When did you start caring what other people think?”

“Dude don’t tell me you’re jealous of Mike? Man he’s my fiancé and in a few days he’s going to be my husband of course were going to be close…..but you will always be my friend. If you still want to be my friend?”

“Man what the hell kind of question is that? Of course I want to still be your friend, we have been friends since elementary school. We’ve been through everything together. Who am I going to turn to when I find myself in a tough situation, or when I get into a fight, or if I just need someone to talk too?”

“Chris I’m so glad you said that………I love you man.” Eric smiled, as he hugged me. I didn’t stop him I was just glad to have my friend back. “I have a very important question to ask you.” Eric added.

“Ok you can ask away……but first I have a question for you.” I replied.

“Ok,” Eric continued.

“How is it?”

“How is what?” he asked……Looking at me a little confused.

“How is sex with a guy? Blowjobs, fucking, that kind of thing.” I asked. I’d always been curios about those kinds of things….like any other teenage boy.

“It’s fucking amazing man. Every night after me and Mike have had a roll in the hay I sleep like a freaking baby. It is so true about what they say about a guy being able to give better blowjobs then girls. And don’t even get me started on those lips of his. I feel like I’m in heaven when he’s got his lips……wrapped around my…….” He couldn’t finish because I had cut him off.

By that time images of Eric and Mike having wild sex and then turning around in sucking each other’s dicks were already playing in my head.

“Oh ok, hold it right there.” I cried, as I laughed a little to myself. “That’s enough information right there man.”

“Sorry dude, I might have gotten as little carried away.” Eric smiled. “I thought for second, you were thinking about playing for the other team.”

“Nah man, I can barely handle the girls I got no now…..If you throw a guy in there that’s going to make my life even more chaotic. You had a question for me right?”

“Man I don’t know how to ask you this………..So I’m just going to come out and say it.” Eric began.

“Chris will you be my best man?!” he cried.

After a brief moment a silence I answered him. “Yes man I’ll be your best friend and I’ll do you one better. I’ll host your bachelor party……I’m guessing you’re going to want male strippers there…right?”

“Man I don’t know about all that.” He laughed

“Come on man….this is going to be your last night as a free man. You got to have a little fun.”

****Scene 5: Mike’s POV**********************

Smith Residence,                                                                                                                               152 Magnolia Street,

After a few hours had passed Eric came back to the mansion. He told me had to tell me something but he said he didn’t want to tell me what he had to tell me at my family’s house so we went to his house instead. Before we got there he told me that his mom was out of town (some realtors convention), his siblings were all at friends’ houses. So I was certain sex was on his mind. I didn’t mind, sex was on my mind as well now that I think about it.

“Babe, I know you think I wanted you to come over here so that we could fuck.” Eric began. “While that is part of the reason I wanted you to come over here. The main reason I wanted you over here is so that I could talk to you alone without your family interrupting us……… Also I didn’t want you to get upset around them.”

“Talk to me about what?” I asked.

“About what I want to do for you…..” Eric continued. “Babe I want to show you how much I love you and how much love having you in my life.”

“Eric you’ve done that time and time again. Don’t you know I already know how much you love me? You show it to me every single day, and every night too.” I winked, causing him to blush a little.

“Yes, but I want to do something else.”

“Like what?”

“I want to adopt Johnny.” He blurted. “Johnny is a part of you so that means he’s a part of me too. I love that little guy like a son, no I feel like he is my son. I just want to make it official.”

“Eric I love you, so much,” I smiled, as I pulled him in for a kiss. “This is wonderful news…………but why did you think this would upset me?”

“This wasn’t what I thought was going to upset you…” Eric sighed. “It’s what I’m about to tell you that I think will upset you.”

“What is it?”

“Well first off, I’ll tell you the good news.” Eric smiled. “Good news is I found a best man!!”

“That’s great!”

“Ok, but the bad news its Chris…..”

“Chris DeVille?” I asked, slightly confused.

“Yes,” Eric nodded.

“What the hell Eric?” You made Chris your best man?”

“WHY?! Why would you do that? Knowing the way our friends feel about him? Kevin hates him, Kayla hates him, Jake hates him too, and I was on the same team with him for years and to say that he wasn’t the nicest guy on the field would be a gross understatement. I’m inclined to believe that they have good reason to dislike him. Practically all of our friends hate him.”

“Yes all of YOUR friends……”Eric replied. The stress that he had put on ‘your’, did not go unnoticed by me. Chris is my best friend and I want him to be at our wedding.”

“Eric, what are you saying? Kayla, and the rest of them are as much your friends as they are mine.” I replied. “Eric what is wrong?”

“They wouldn’t give me the time or day if I was dating you. All the smart remarks everyone makes about me…. Oh he’s such a douche this, oh he’s changed so much since he started dating you……..oh he does have a heart.” Eric began. “And Jake has been trying to get with you for weeks. He’s not my friend.”

“Eric I had no idea you felt that way…….But baby you have to understand that Jake is with Brett now. He’s apologized to you and to me for what he did…. I thought you had accepted that, and I thought you had moved on. But I guess not.”

“I think it would be best if I went home,” I sighed.

“Babe, don’t go.” Eric called.

“Eric I think I have to.” I sighed. “You’re clearly upset and I don’t want to get into a huge fight with you, days before our wedding.”

“I’ll call you tomorrow, ok.” I sighed, as I kissed him on the lips. He kissed me back, so I knew we could work through this situation.

After I closed the door behind me I called the only person I could think of that could keep a secret. “Hello, sorry to call you on such short notice. But I really need to talk to you.”

STAY TUNED………………………….
