Next Door Casting Review

Next Door Casting features guys in their audition videos, a mix of hardcore and solos. Lots of guys think they have what it takes to be a porn star, but no matter how good looking or hung he is, a guy still has to do a screen test. Can he perform? Can he get a hard-on and cum on demand? If he's doing hardcore, can he work with whomever walks through the door, and does he have fiery chemistry with his scene partner? Can the solo guys get it hard, and more importantly, can they keep it hard? It's been nearly five years since we reviewed the site and there have been a lot of changes here, so let's see what's been happening.

The site launched in early May 2015 and updated through 2016 with 100% hardcore auditions, then it took a break for three years and returned in 2019 with mostly solo masturbation sessions. In the beginning, handsome and muscled Markie More, who starred in 138 videos for the network, auditioned the newcomers. He debuted with Next Door back in February 2014, and he filmed ten other scenes before he landed this gig auditioning porn hopefuls. More is a good-looking guy who often wears glasses in his scenes, he's sporting a well-defined body with quite a bit of ink and he's versatile, so he was perfect for the casting couch.

The performers here have hot bodies, some slim and fit while others are muscular, but all of them are well-built and sexy. A handful have beards, a few had some body hair, but most are smooth, and a few had some ink, but only a few of them were more heavily tattooed than Markie More. Many of the guys More filmed with weren't exactly newcomers to porn, but lots were just breaking in and trying to make a name for themselves.

When the sites resumed filming in 2019, it took a different approach featuring guys working their cocks for the camera. They filmed another 20 scenes before the site stopped updating in 2020 and eight of those saw the guys in suck and fuck action. And these guys were truly unknowns, and while most didn't go on to do other videos, several did. Getting their start here were straight hunk Damien White who filmed 22 videos for the network, blond cutie Brandon Anderson filmed 90 videos, sexy bearded hottie Julian Brady appeared in 31 videos, David Skyler and his big dick filmed 35 videos, and blond and chiseled Alex Tanner did 34 videos.

Next Door Casting offers 77 exclusive videos in MP4 format. The downloads are offered in seven sizes, the largest in full HD at 1080p; the smaller sizes will play on most mobiles, and the smallest size should play on most older phones. The videos are studio quality with good lighting and sound. You can also stream them on the site in several qualities, all of which play in an adaptive player that resizes them for your device. You can enlarge the videos to full screen, and unsurprisingly the highest-quality versions fare best.

Each episode also includes a picture gallery. The pics are generally good quality screencaps sized at 1920x1080, some of the oldest episodes feature some digital stills. While the pictures are large, they resiz to fit your browser when viewing them on the site, but when downloaded are offered at their full size. There's a hands-free slideshow, and you can save the pictures individually or download entire sets in zip files. Each set has from 15 to over 40 photos per set. While the pics here are good stuff, the gallery thumbs are tiny.

There's plenty of extras for members to enjoy as Next Door Casting is part of the ASG Max network, and this is the biggest news here. When we last reviews the site in 2020, the site was a part of the Next Door Studios network which had 17 sites and 3,896 videos. But since then, a new network called ASG Max was launched and it now stands at 82 channels and 13,015 videos and it updates every single day! 

Members still get access to the whole family of Next Door sites including Next Door Buddies, Next Door Twink, and Next Door Raw, but many new channels have been added like ASG Max, Extra Big Dicks, Men Over 30, Family Creep, Disruptive Films, and so much more. Some of the channels feature content from whole sites like Active Duty and Next Door Taboo, but others simply group similar themes with videos produced by the other sites, so you'll find Taboo Men featuring fauxcest action from Disruptive Films, ASG Massage, or ASG Auditions which brings new studs together in threeway action to see who is going to get a contract. There's some limited content from third-party sites like Blake Mason, Icon Male, Noir Male, Helix Studios and more.

It's time to talk about issues. The biggest one is that Next Door Casting itself has stopped updating, although with over 13,000 videos in the ASG Max network, whose complaining? And if you're looking for fresh faces, check out the ASG Auditions channel. There's the pre-checked offer on the billing page, but it's easy enough to uncheck the box if you're not interested. Trial members get limited access; they can stream the videos, but downloads are reserved for full members. You'll be automatically signed up for the Next Door email list when joining, and there's no way to opt out at that time. When you hit the back button from the billing to the join page, you'll get a pop-up with a fake site rep that's actually a bot. You'll probably be hit with a notification pop-up on the tour; if you share the computer or don't want to receive periodic porn notifications, you may want to block it. And when you log in, you'll find yourself on a full-page ad, but it's easy to find your way into the member area.

I liked the Next Door Casting movies because they aren't cheesy sessions where porn hopeful sucks off the director. These are good quality, well-lit jack off and sex scenes where we really get to see how these newcomers perform. There are 76 exclusive videos to download, stream and watch on your mobiles, although disappointingly updates have stopped. I'd have liked to have seen a variety of established performers test-driving the newcomers, but Markie More is personable and knows how to have a good time in the early scenes, and the newer hardcore videos have more Next Door stars breaking in the guys auditioning. The biggest draw here is the new ASG Max network with its 13,015 videos and the daily updates, and you can also see the newcomers in the scenes they filmed after passing their auditions.
