Next Door Taboo Review

Next Door Taboo explores the fauxcest niche, which in this case is male step-relatives experiencing sex together. You'll find plots featuring stepbrothers fucking or stepsons with stepfathers, but there's also an episode with brothers-in-law sucking and fucking each other, and another with step-cousins. The site is produced by Next Door Entertainment, which runs a large network of gay porn sites, and that means we can expect good quality videos, hot guys, and lots of bonuses. It’s only been a month since our last review, but there’s been an exciting new change here, so let’s talk about what's new and what's not.

The guys on the site are the typical crew of Next Door Entertainment performers. Some are studio exclusives, some are fairly new, and others are freelance. Most are fairly well-known gay porn stars including twink performers Jack Bailey and Trevor Harris, sexy daddies Derek Kage and Killian Knox, muscle hunks Roman Todd and Cliff Jensen, and jocks Masyn Thorne and Jordan Starr. The guys are mostly in their twenties and thirties with well-defined to muscular bodies; there are some guys with slender to athletic builds and some twinks, too. Some of the performers are clean-shaven while others are bearded, some are tattooed while others are not, and there are quite a few big dicks here.

Most of the scenes here fall into the fauxcest niche like Step Dad’s Date where Masyn Thorne comes onto his stepfather’s date. Next Door Taboo offers 177 videos, and this is 41 fewer videos than were here a month ago, I’ll talk more about this in a minute. The videos are available in MP4 format and can be downloaded in eight sizes from 320x178 to 1920x1080, as well as a large 4K version sized at 3840x2160. I spot checked the inventory, and most episodes now seem to have a 4K version whereas only the newer releases had them a month ago. That’s good news, but I didn’t check every single scene. The videos are good quality and crisp with good sound. You can also stream the videos on your desktop and mobiles in an adaptive player that resizes them to fit your device. The quality improves as you go from the lowest to the 4K version. There's a full-screen option with the highest quality videos faring best. The videos played well on my phone and tablet.

Each episode comes with a picture set, and most are digital stills while some may be screencaps. The pics are good to very good quality and sized at 1280x1920 or 1920x1080, depending on the orientation. There are downloadable zip files if you want to save entire sets or you can save the pictures individually. Unfortunately, the galleries no long have a slideshow feature, but the player does have navigation controls allowing you to go from picture to picture.

Now let's talk about the reduction in videos. When NextDoorTaboo was a standalone site, they padded their update schedule with fauxcest themed videos from other sites in the Next Door network. However, about a month ago, the company launched ASG Max, a massive gay porn network with 58 channels and over 12,000 videos. NextDoorTaboo is now a part of ASG Max, and so are all of the other Next Door sites, so I’m assuming the apparent loss of videos was a result of removing the videos from the other sites.

So the great news is that your membership now gives you access to so much content including videos from Disruptive Films, Extra Big Dicks, Men Over 30, Active Duty, Family Creep, as well as all of the Next Door sites like Next Door Buddies and Next Door Raw. There’s also a selection of videos from Chaos Men and Blacks on Boys, not the entire catalogs, but a nice collection.

Let's talk about updates. Next Door Taboo itself adds a new scene once or twice a month. There were two new videos in each of July and September, but only one in each of August and June, and two were added in May. ASG Max itself claims to update daily, but they missed three daily updates since they launched on August 23, and another update was a compilation – still 19 updates over 23 days is pretty good. I’m actually so much happier with the new set-up because Next Door Taboo had been padding updates with content from other sites, so the members area was quite messy. Having each site’s content on its own channel is so much better.

Are there issues? There's a pre-checked offer on the right side of the billing page, but it's easy to uncheck. If you sign up on the trial, you'll only be able to stream the videos. There's a pop-up that might appear after logging in that encourages you to sign up to receive notifications, but this might not be a great idea if you share your computer with family, a roommate or co-workers. When you join NextDoorTaboo, you're automatically added to the email list with no way to opt out until after you join, and if you spend a minute on the join page, a pop-up will appear. And when you log in, you'll find yourself on a full-page ad, but it's easy to find your way to the members area. Since our last review the site has added a 300 GB daily download limit, but that’s quite generous.

One final thing I don’t like about the network is a navigation menu that flies out from the sidebar every time you go to a new page. It takes room away from the main members window and although I close it on every page, it pops back again. The flyout contains Category, Channels, and Models options, and since two of these are already on the sidebar, I’d prefer the site allowed us to choose when to open it, or better yet, just add the Categories option to the existing sidebar and element the flyout.

Next Door Taboo delivers hot guys and a dirty theme in well-produced videos with lots of download options, and in these respects this site is a winner. There's lots of stepbrother sex and guys getting fucked by stepfathers as well as some other themes featuring well-known performers and porn stars. There are 177 good quality, exclusive videos to download, stream, and watch on your mobiles, and all have a 4K version now. The site updates once or twice a month, but the great news is that it’s a part of ASG Max which offers 58 channels and 12,000+ videos and updates nearly every day. The new set-up is pretty awesome with so much more content than members got before.
