Our Senior Year and More part 30

We soon had our kid duties figured out amongst us, Josh returned to work after a week off and I worked from home and kept Marie company in caring for the kids, but I needed to soon get back to my routine and spend some time at the store each day and show my face at the farm office, the farm office being across the road was more forgiving and made it even easier to work from home.

The following week I was filling in for Marge at the store who was on a planned well deserved vacation, they really didn’t need me to fill in for her, but I just felt more comfortable being there, it gave me a chance to bond with Richard Harder and the rest of the crew, as up until now they just saw me as my daddy’s new handpicked boss, who works mostly from home. Besides it felt good to get some physical work done.

The older employees still saw me as the kid that grew up around the store, so this was a good opportunity to throw my two cents in and establish myself in the hierarchy. My approach was to be the boss in charge yet still be their friend, it’s the way my dad always ran the store, he made sure everyone was taken care of, and always invited them to our house after hours for bbq’s and dinners.

One afternoon Lee Jeffries came into the store, Lee and I never really got along, our dealings with him were mostly when Tommy was looking to expand the horse farm into the business it is today, and the town council was denying the permits and zoning rules. Overall he was part of the contingent that opposed any changes. Lee was the town supervisor’s right hand man, at the time, that was Billy Prescott’s father, anyway Lee is the one holdout guy on the town council that still holds a grudge against us (being gay). He even stuck his nose in a few months back trying to expose the secretive Danish prince visit by sneaking onto the property.

He came in to pick up a few things and I was overly polite toward him and greeted him with some pleasantries, like “good afternoon, Lee anything I can help you with”?, and he replied back with a snotty “No”. I was at the counter when he asked me how my “husbaaand” was, and also inquired about that monstrosity of a building we call a home, that shouldn’t have ever been permitted to be built as it doesn’t fit in with the Norms of our quaint farming community. Then he mentioned he doesn’t often get over to “thaaaat” side of town. He couldn’t have been more direct about his true feelings. Then he had the nerve to ask permission to display his re election campaign signs in the store. I politely declined. He paid for his stuff and left in quite a huff. This being the first time in a long time there was any opposition to the “Ruling Party”, there was actually going to be a campaign and a real election this year.

He had me so worked up that I had to inquire more about the candidates running, and whom we should show our support to, as if anyone would be a better choice than Lee. I found there were two openings with 3 candidates, two were incumbents and the third was a newcomer, a woman who moved here about 5 years ago (just before I left town) and she ran a beauty parlor in town. I managed to check them all out over the next few days and after talking with the other two, I was very unimpressed with both incumbents (Lee and Jerry), but the woman, we hit it off, she had ideas to make the town better, and felt as I did, that it was time to change out the old guard.

So my immediate reaction was she’s the one we should support. After talking to her more, she actually seemed to be encouraging me to also run as an independent with her and our goal to unseat both incumbents, I argued that together we may not draw the vote, her being female, me being gay, or even the possibility of only replacing one of them, in this rural conservative town where people are comfortable with the old guard. Anyway I took her campaign sign and displayed it in the store window, I took one for our front lawn, and a few for Tommy’s land along the road, including his leased properties along the way.

That night after discussing my day with Josh, and then we took the signs over to Tommy’s and we talked about Betsy and some of her ideas, Tommy and Devin agreed with me and welcomed the signs. Then Josh mentioned to them, Betsy’s idea about me also running, and both Tommy and Devin thought it would be a great idea, after a few hours of discussion and a few beers Josh and I headed back home to Marie and the kids who were already sleeping soundly. Both Josh and I took turns helping Marie with the nighttime feedings, we felt that the bonding during feeding time was beneficial let alone the burden of handling two crying babies. Did I mention Twins can be a handful?

After one of the feedings, Josh came back into bed, it was Saturday morning about 3am, I heard him strip off his robe and climb back into bed naked, as he climbed back into snuggle my warm body with his somewhat chilly body. His Randy, hard, prodding dick nestled back and forth into my crack until it was comfortably warm like a hot dog in its bun. Of course I was lying there awake feeling my ass cheeks being split apart and loving the feeling. I slightly clenched my ass around it and his dick flexed back in response. I thought he was slipping back to sleep when his arm wrapped over my chest and he began thumbing my nipple like he always does. I twisted my head back towards his and he leaned into mine and planted a kiss, he tried to reach for my cheek but hit my ear, and his hand slid from my chest to my now hard dick all still warm under the blankets. His gentle massaging of my member and balls was slow and exciting as I let some moans go. Next he began a gyrating motion into my ass crack to his gentle moans. He then pulled his dick out placed it under me where it met and split my balls apart, and he massaged both his dick and my balls together occasionally riding up my shaft. After a few moments I rolled to my back and he climbed up on me kissing my face as I rested my shaft into his crack and he slid it up and down in that trench, eventually finding his hard bulge hole, he rocked it over my dick head several times while moaning in pleasure before he began bearing down, while I held my base steady for him, then suddenly I slid inside of him, he sat there very still for a moment before beginning to rock up and down as I pretended to still be asleep, Josh did all the work and it felt great. He was into it a slow gradual rock, he was also soft now, as his warm flaccid dick just brushed back and forth on my abdomen, but it was gradually began growing hard. He was really into it and soon was spewing his fluids between us, however he continued trying to make me cum, he somehow continued to build himself back into a frenzy and was getting ready to blow a second load when the thought of what he was doing made me lose it all, he felt me splash his insides, which blew his second load between us collapsing on me where we laid till we fell asleep with almost his full weight on me, he was my warm blanket. At some point my dick shriveled out and I felt my warm fluids dripping onto me as they gradually cooled, but my comfort with Josh overcame any discomfort with colder damp areas.

The next morning we all ate breakfast together our two children, Charlotte in Marie’s arms feeding, and Charlie in Josh’s being fed, as Josh balanced the bottle on his chin while he attempted to feed himself, damn I thought , our lives are perfect. Marie then also began pushing me to run for town council as we talked about it as we ate. Still intrigued I headed to Betsy’s shop once again to talk more about it, and somehow she talked me into it. Before I left, she set me up with the rules, we drafted a petition, along with a bio, and we all wound up going door to door. By Monday we had everything in place and I submitted all the necessary paperwork to the town hall to become a viable candidate.

Now in addition to everything else, the farm, the dude ranch, the store, the new babies, and my dads health, here I am actively campaigning for a town council seat. Over the next few weeks I was getting signs made and displayed, and listening to editorials and rhetoric about me (mostly negative), and worse my family, hell, they even dragged Tommy’s farm and dude ranch into the mix. I was even more shocked when Josh’s Jewish background came into question.

Most of the Main street businesses were in support of myself and Betsy, many of my dads long time friends and farmer clientele were all there for us, but some of the smaller towns people and old time residents were leery of a woman or a “Boy” running things. Most were polite by not mentioning gay but others didn’t hold back. Fortunately my mom’s standing in the church led the minister, who didn’t actually come out in full support of us, but he did pose questions of the other candidates that questioned their ability and his neutrality leaned toward us. The best we could tell was we were dead even in the unscientific polls we self conducted.

What seemed to bother me most is Lee Jeffries was so freaking confident, that he was convincing others that we didn’t have a chance. Betsy and I took a chance and challenged them to a town hall debate.

Well the buzz about the debate got into such a frenzy they decided to move it to the high school gymnasium. I was getting worried, I wasn’t a public speaker, this is a small town and I felt I was running on honesty and the best decision for the majority of the people. Josh told me to just keep that in mind with every answer, and then ask myself, if the decisions that the others have made over the years benefited their vision for the town, or the peoples vision for the town, and he assured me I’d do fine.

This town hasn’t seen any challengers in years the candidates were usually hand chosen and a shoe in, in fact the local election rarely even drew but a handful of voters since there was rarely any competition. Another factor in the unscientific polls we conducted was the flip flop of many residents, you see we all somewhat know each other, and typically when we talk to them they indicate they believe in us, but the same is true when they talk to our opponents.

Debate night was upon us, Lee Jeffries stood as if he was in charge, and began with the pledge of allegiance and then a prayer before deciding he would start with an opening statement, well his statement began with a bible reading, you know about man sleeping with man, he got his point across fast and early. Then he turned it over to the other incumbent, Jerry Manfred, to my objection, Lee decided it was seniority that determined the order of things and I was out of line questioning that, as the debate hadn’t started yet, I guess he felt we were each entitled to make opening statements first, but he stepped right out trying to take charge right off the bat. It was obvious he even had the almost nonexistent moderator in his pocket.

Jerry Manfred on the other hand was a yes man, and was a follower, he was very polite and he welcomed us as competition, and actually was quite convincing to the crowd. He made a point of making sure we all knew that he was not Lee, and yet he had the experience on the council, and he deserved another term. Then Betsy was introduced, she tore into the opponents explaining the issues she had in starting her business several years earlier, tying her woes to Billy Prescott’s father, then drew distinctive lines from him to Lee, and even though Billy’s father is long gone, Lee still holds the Prescott values and grip on this town. She got a wave of supportive applause mostly from the business owners.

Then it was finally my turn, I rose and introduced myself to many of the townspeople who already knew me and my story. But I retold it anyway, how in my own mind I persuaded myself to leave this town because I didn’t feel welcome anymore, and I came back to a changing town brought on by Billy Prescott and anti gay sentiment against both my dad’s store and Tommy’s farm. I continued to say how Tommy’s farm and growth has helped this town, and that sex, gay. Black, white, Jewish or straight, wasn’t the issue here, its controlled town growth, spending and survival and how the current town council tries to stifle every single idea, good or bad and how I feel some change is good. So on and so forth, to which I got a rousing applause. Then we debated, and while Betsy and Jerry seemed to argue it out against each other, it seemed it was me and Lee who got to a downright almost fist throwing blows, but luckily the sheriff jumped in before Lee could get to me, I wasn’t going to engage unless it was self defense, but I think it was Lee’s anger that got me the extra points that night toward possibly winning, but anyway I guess our unofficial polling still had us dead even.

The next morning we woke to most of my campaign signs being defaced with anti gay slurs, as we tried to right the wrong, by cleaning them or replacing them, but we only had so many, and reprinting them would take time and money. Devin and I drove into town and discovered a huge homemade banner across Main Street, promoting Lee and Jerry’s campaign and every single visible Dave and Betsy sign was defaced during the night. Devin was ready to start shit up, but we drove to Betsy’s shop, we decided to go to town hall and the sheriff to lodge a complaint, complete with photos (as if they were needed). I apologized to Betsy saying this probably wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t get involved.

I then inquired to see the permit application for the Banner as the telephone poles belonged privately to the electric company and the town needs permits for any signage on shops, and to my knowledge nothing has ever been strung across Main Street except Christmas lights. Within a half hour the fire dept was removing the banner. I then lodged a complaint about who had the means to hang the sign, and under who’s authority, cautiously implicating the fire dept.  The sheriff then assured us he would figure it all out and bring justice.

Tommy brought a crew from the farm to town, and we all collected all of our defaced signs and we removed an equal number of Lee and Jerry’s signs we didn’t deface them but we took them to the sheriff with our justification. Even though the sheriff somewhat agreed with our motives he still apologized and took the signs, but had to arrest and charge me with tampering with private property. I took the blame for everyone and stood for my rights, right or wrong, and he released me on my own, as long as I didn’t pursue any more trouble. He did indicate he would hold the signs until Lee or Jerry came to get them themselves and they would need to reset them all, he shook my hand and let me go.
