The next afternoon, I head down to the pub even though I’m not working it’s always a good place to chill out and relax because there’s always a friendly and familiar face. I wander in wearing my normal street clothes, a Calvin Klein T-shirt with jeans and nike shoes. I go and sit in a booth as I normally do of an afternoon and have a look who’s on this afternoon. I sit there and a familiar face comes and plonks himself down across from me “Hey mate, not working this afternoon?”. The Australian accent comes across and I instantly know that it’s Josh from the Rugby team.

I look up and see the distinctive beard which hides the fact that the 30-year-old would look like he’s 16 without it. “Hey Josh, what are you doing in here?” I ask given that he’s never here on his own nor on a weekday.

“Yeah, I had two meetings with clients just up the road and hadn’t had a decent lunch so came in here with the all-afternoon specials”. He puts down the beer, “Hope I’m not disturbing you but saw you came in and thought I’d come say Hi properly”. I smile “Nah, you’re not disturbing me at all, just needed some space out of the house”.

Josh looks back at me “you need space, so you come to work” we both have a chuckle as I sit there checking my phone to see what time it is. Josh leaves his beer in the booth as he goes and orders something from the snack menu more than anything really for a meal. I keep sitting there waiting as Josh sits silently waiting for his buzzer to go off to collect his food.

My phone buzzes and I see Dan texting me “Hey Ben, my afternoon trainers haven’t turned up so I can’t get away yet, If you still need to talk I’ll drop around to your place tonight. Sorry man” I sigh loudly which Josh hears. “Everything alright man?” he asks between mouthfuls of beer. “Yeah, it’s cool, I was supposed to be meeting Dan here but he’s got problems at the gym”.

Josh looks over at me, “If you wanna chat about anything we can, I still haven’t really got to know anyone outside of work and the rugby team here honestly, so it would be good to chat and get to know you”. I sit there and just need to vent all my feelings about Liam and all the tension that I’ve got built up inside me, just worrying about whether Liam has got himself back into trouble or not. I look at Josh’s sincere face “Thanks man, but my problems are pretty tense at the moment and I don’t want to saddle you with anything”.

Josh smiles and nods with a surprising understanding “let me guess it’s some kind of girl trouble?” I  look over at him intriguingly and start to shake my head before catching myself staring into his deep brown Lebanese eyes and get distracted. I shake my head out of the gaze into his eyes and look confused about the question.

“Huh… oh nah, it’s not girl troubles, it’s well to be honest it’s boy troubles” I look away from Josh awkwardly, not sure how he’d react given the fact that out of the Rugby lads, it’s only Dan who knows that I’m gay. Josh turns and looks at me “yep, boys can be trouble at times too” he says smirking and winking at me. I sit there in total shock, thinking this must be some hallucination or I’ve banged my head after falling asleep at the booth.

Josh looks at me “might want to pick your jaw up off the floor” he laughs “yeah, I’m gay and well nobody else on the team knows that yet and they don’t have to know if I don’t wanna tell them now is it” Josh smiles and looks pretty confident and comfortable about it all.

“How are you so comfortable about it being around those guys all the time and keeping the secret?” I ask Josh, he shrugs “So what if I like boys instead of girls, it doesn’t ever change who I am now does it and shouldn’t change who you are as a person” I smile at his advice and feel an instant confidence boost.

Josh smiles at me as he gets up and gets his fries from the bistro before coming back and sitting down, “So is this a boy that you are an item with or is this a boy you like but are not sure where he sits?”. I keep sitting there as Josh’s biceps bulge in his white business shirt and his meaty pecs are sticking out with distinctly hard nipples. He offers me some fries which we both eat and they taste undercooked and raw.

I grab them and go to get up “I’ll take these back and get you some more” I take a few steps before he grabs me on the shoulder, “Just take them back, I probably shouldn’t be eating them now anyway, would mean an extra training session that I don’t have time for. He laughs and finishes his beer “If you’re not busy, would you want to have dinner with me at my place, I love to cook and it’s nice to cook for someone else”. The offer comes as a surprise given that we’ve only sat there for 10-15 minutes or so “uh yeah that would be good, my dad has Dinner with his Church group tonight so normally I just head to Tesco and find the least disgusting microwave meal to have”.

Josh laughs “well that’s decided, you’re coming to my place for dinner and actually going to have a proper healthy meal”. I laugh and head quickly to the bar to take back the fries and get Josh back his cash because nobody should be expected to get undercooked fries. While I’m there I check the new roster, always checking what I’ve got other than my regular Sunday night shift.

Eventually, after being caught up talking to Stacey and Tom, I head back to Josh who’s found himself chatting and flirting with some of the young girls who are often in the bar at the same time as the Rugby girls. I wander back to him “hey sorry, just had to check the roster while I was back there” Josh nods and farewells the girls.

“I thought you were gay?” I laugh as we walk out of the pub and Josh turns towards where he parked his car “I live down at The Oak apartments down by the river, I’m guessing that you don’t need any directions on where that is. I shake my head, the Oak Apartments are the newest and most controversial building to ever be built in town and everyone knows about the Oak apartments because there are very few places that they are not visible in the town.

I wander around to the back of the pub and get in my car and text Dan “hey, I’ve had a change of plans, so we might catch up for breakfast tomorrow”. I put my phone into my glovebox and take a moment to reflect on things. I came to meet Dan and talk about everything that may or may not be going on with Liam but instead I’m going on something that quickly feels like it’s a dinner date with one of the lads who is on the Rugby team and is also gay.

I get in the car and head towards the Oak Apartments which for all their modern features are still surrounded by the old piers and the dilapidated fishing stores that had been used for well over a century before developers came in and took them over. I find a parking spot in a nearby park which despite being sunset, is sparsely populated. I wander to the towers and go up to level 18 and find apartment 93 which has no distinguishing features compared to the other 3 apartments that are on the floor.

I knock on the door, surprisingly nervous and wondering if this is even a good idea, the nerves only increase as the door swings open and Josh is standing there, shirtless with a surprisingly smooth and soft looking meaty chest clearly on show. I stutter as I’m not sure what to say, the sight of Josh’s clearly waxed body is just more than I can handle. “I can put a shirt on if you really want” he says laughing as he leads me into his apartment, that still has that new apartment smell. “Don’t think any of this styling is mine” he says as we walk towards the kitchen and dining area, “I had to make sure that it was an already furnished apartment”.

I follow him to the breakfast bar where I take a seat, as he starts to get dinner organised whilst still being shirtless and giving me an erection which I’m sure is now visible from space but I’m tactically trying to hide without being obvious. The part about Josh loving to cook was no understatement, with a myriad of ingredients and vegetables some of which I don’t think I’ve ever seen in the frozen section of Tesco’s in my entire life. Josh stands there as we chat about the mundane things such as work and study, the kitchen area is filled with the wafting smells of spice and fresh food, the smell is absolutely amazing. Finally, two plates are put on the bench and Josh comes around still shirtless and sits down next to me, his knee right up against me.

I start eating the food and immediately it’s nothing like what I’ve ever tasted, the food is mixed with a spice that tickles the taste buds but doesn’t overdo it in ruining the taste. “This is damn good man, you weren’t lying about loving to cook, this is nothing like we have at home”. Josh smiles, “It isn’t really that hard you know, anyone can do it.” I keep eating the steak that Josh cooks up for us “you cook at home or is that taken care of?”. I sit there and stop for a minute “Usually Dad is the one who cooks for the two of us, Mum was always the chef but since then Dad has taken it on himself and for the improvement he’s had, the recipe cards Mum had don’t necessarily always work out as they should”.

Josh nods “yeah, my mum did all of the cooking back at home, she claimed the kitchen and anyone else who tried to step foot in it without her was given an earful”, he chuckles but let’s out a little sigh. “So, this boy trouble” he asks bluntly “you want to talk about it at all or just give it a miss” I sit there and realise that since getting to Josh’s I had forgotten everything about Liam and what could’ve happened. “You know what, it’s not so much an issue about dating or anything, it’s just something that we need to work out as best friends more than anything serious.” Josh smiles, “As long as you’re sure and ok”. I nod and finish off the dinner.

I go to clean up the dishes for Josh who takes command in the kitchen and puts them into the dishwasher before coming back and sits next to me. “Thanks for coming tonight mate, my schedule doesn’t really let me have anyone over for dinner and the Rugby lads are good guys but not usually dinner guests though”. I chuckle and nod “The amount of times I’ve cleaned up Nachos off the floor and the tables after you boys have finished on a Sunday night, I know what you mean.”

The chatting between Josh and I goes on for a while, nothing really serious coming up in the conversations with topics ranging from adapting to Rugby Union from Rugby League, the work he does and plenty of tips on how to get through Uni unscathed and at the top of the class. I check the time at about 9ish, “I should get going, Dad will probably be home and I’ve got an 8:30 class plus the gym”. Josh gets up off his seat and heads into another room and puts on a hoodie and gives me his business card, “these are my details so any time you want to chat or come over for dinner on a Wednesday, then you can just shoot me a text or call me because I know that even surrounded by people it gets lonely”.

I insist that he doesn’t need to come downstairs with me, but he does anyway so that he can check the mailbox. The atmosphere and the relationship between Josh and I was surprising to say the least, I never expected the typical Aussie lad was actually a highly educated, successful business professional that Josh is in his Monday to Friday life.

The drive home is again one that is filled with distractions yet again, but tonight it’s distractions about the good side of Josh rather than the uncertainty that I’m feeling over Liam at the moment. I pull into the driveway just as Dad is getting out of his car, himself having gotten home from Dinner. “Hey Dad, good night?” I ask as he gets his stuff out of the car “Yeah, was quite good actually” I smile because for Dad, going out without Mum is something that he has always struggled with.

“What about you? Where did you go tonight?” he asks as we walk into the house and turn on the lights before wandering into the kitchen where he puts the kettle on for his nightly cup of Green Tea. “I went to dinner with a bud from uni, he was home alone tonight so we just decided to head out for some dinner”.

I head up to my room and forget about having a shower before stripping off and I notice that my cock is still aroused from hanging around a hot shirtless Aussie Rugby player for most of the night. I put on my sleep shorts just to make sure that I don’t have any more awkward moments where Dad walks in whilst giving the meat a quick pounding which has happened on more than one occasion.

I lay there and listen to some music and pick up my Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone novel which I’m reading again for the eighth or ninth time, I start to read when my phone vibrates on the stand, I expect to see Dan or Liam flash up but when I see a number that I don’t instantly recognise, I get a smile on my face.

“Hey, just had to say thanks again for tonight, it was nice to have some company and chat instead of being alone” I smile as I read the message, at the same point my phone buzzes again and a second message pops up “I got your number from Dan because I forgot to get it off you and I know you’d probably be wondering how I got your number”.

I reply back “Hey Josh, yeah thanks for tonight it was great although a touch distracting” I send back with an eggplant emoji and a winking face. I add a second message, “I just thought you might have sent out that text 500 times hoping you’d even remotely get close to me”

Before I even put my phone back down, the phone buzzes again and Josh has already replied with the laughing-crying emoji and his Instagram link “If me cooking’s a distraction then don’t ever get to my Instagram page” I smirk to myself and follow the link to see the first pic is Josh in a pair of speedos on Bondi Beach.

I can’t control myself and scroll through his Instagram and eventually find myself having a fondle with the crown jewels and after Dad pokes his head in the door to say good night, I find myself closing my eyes and throwing off my pants to get some of the sexual tension out of me. The masturbation is just what I needed, imagining Josh’s burly hand wrapping itself around my thick cock and slowly jerking it as my cock gets harder and harder.

I use one hand to jerk and the other hand to massage my balls with the sack filled with cum, I feel it and slowly go back to jerking and rubbing my chest and nipples at the same time, playing with my nipples always makes me get hornier and hornier, no difference here as I keep rubbing my chest and jerking at the same time. I close my eyes and continue to whack my meat until I let out a soft moan as a wave of hot cum spurts up on my chest and I let out a sigh as I realise that I’ve missed three messages all from Liam during the time that I was thinking about Josh.

I decide that Liam can wait because at the moment, because with everything that is going on, I can do without the stresses he can bring. I put my phone back up on the nightstand next to the bottle of water I took to bed at some point last week and just close my eyes and head to sleep.
