A beautiful spring day with warm weather and a mild breeze met William Anderson as he left school to walk home.  Spring fever had affected the students and teachers, but William had other reasons for hurrying home.  Jeremy Tatum, William’s secret boyfriend, walked with him; Jeremy was usually why he was in a hurry to get home, but not today.  William and Jeremy had worked on a project earlier that year when William admitted to Jeremy that he had feelings for him.  It was risky, but the feelings were strong.  Jeremy came out to William, but he was terrified that his family would find out, and William promised to keep things a secret.

The scent of freshly-cut grass caused Jeremy to sneeze, and his funny way of sneezing always made William laugh. While they walked side-by-side, they maintained a proper distance from one another. To everyone else, they were friends, but in William’s bedroom, they were full-on lovers. They shared their love and their bodies. They took turns giving and receiving, and, although William knew it was improbable, he hoped they would continue to grow together as they grew into men and on into adulthood.

Sex with Jeremy was completely different from that with Davey. Their bodies were more mature. William knew that his dick had grown; he knew how to use it, and he enjoyed pumping in and out of Jeremy’s ass. Jeremy enjoyed it as well.

Jeremy knew how to top. Whether he fucked William doggie-style or missionary style, William loved the way Jeremy’s cock felt inside him. Blowjobs were still fun, but fucking was better. All of it had to be done at William’s house, and both of them needed to be quiet. William’s sister spent more and more time there, and they didn’t want her telling anyone at school.

When they reached the Anderson home, Jeremy told William that he wished he could stay with him. “I can’t believe my mother made me an appointment with the dentist on your birthday.”

“I understand,” said William, and he did.

“But it’s your birthday, and I want to be with you.” He lowered his voice. “I want to make love to you and have you make love to me.”

“Just knowing that makes me happy,” William told him. “But, I’m sure we’re going to have something special to eat and a cake; although, I’d rather have pie. So we’d have a hard time getting away, even for some quick fun.” He smiled.

“I wish I could kiss you, but I need to get home.”

“I love you,” whispered William.

Jeremy nodded and then ran home.

William opened the door to find his sister, now in middle school, had joined his father Joseph and his father’s boyfriend Rodney for a birthday celebration. Rodney was in the military, and about to be deployed. William hadn’t realized that he would be able to attend. A cherry pie had its place in the center of the table.

A hug from his sister started the festivities, and he received hugs from everyone. Dessert first on your birthday was an Anderson motto started by William right after his parents’ divorce. William had a huge piece while the others ate a more modest portion with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They played board games and video games, and when dinner time arrived, they ate William’s favorite meal, chicken piccata. Rodney was a superior chef, and his piccata was the best according to William.

That night, as he stretched out in bed, William couldn’t believe how happy he was. Everything seemed to be going well. Chloe was happy. His mother had met someone and stopped drinking. His father was dating a great guy, and he was dating and having more sex than all his classmates put together. That night he decided to be a welder, just like his father.

During the summer of his seventeenth year, William Anderson spent time with his father and learned the basics of welding. His father turned out to be a great instructor, and the father-son team got along well. Joseph began to teach his son some advanced techniques, and William was sure he’d be able to take the certification test when he got out of high school. His father bought him a used car with a good engine, and although it lacked some of the luxury features touted as necessary, it got William where he wanted to go.

A small travel trailer parked in a grove of live oak trees and hidden from the road was a favorite place for William to go. The land and trailer were owned by Jeremy’s parents, and the two young men met there as often as they could. Neither had to be quiet during their copulatory exercises which made things more exciting.

The place had once served as a watering area for cows, in fact, the old trough was still there. Two fields adjoined the area. There was electricity, and water was available, too. The gray water drained into a ditch. No one was supposed to use the toilet. In the past, Jeremy’s grandfather would have lunch and rest there.

Now, it was Jeremy’s playground, and he and William would spend free time talking, planning, and having sex. Jeremy loved to sit on the edge of the dinette table with his legs spread wide and have William push his now seven-inch dick into him. The table’s height was perfect, and each time William pushed in, the head of his cock would bang against Jeremy’s prostate. On its way out, the cock would rub against the prostate with increased pressure. It made for a perfect fuck.

Things were even better when it rained. The sound of the drops against the metal roof and siding were relaxing, and the contradiction with the sometimes frenzied sex added to the thrill. Once, during a thunderstorm, while Jeremy was inside William, the rhythm of their fuck coincided with the flashes and rumbles of the storm. As Jeremy filled William with a larger than normal load of seed, the cracks of lightning gave him the strongest orgasm he’d achieved to that point. They cuddled together surrounded by blankets as the wind continued to howl around the little trailer.

Summer was a grand time. William was learning a trade while fucking and getting fucked three to four times a week. What seventeen-year-old doesn’t want that? The happiness stretched into September and the first week of October. Life for the Anderson males came to a screeching halt as fall began.

A new boy at school caught Jeremy’s attention. At first, William was simply irritated by Jeremy’s denial that the boy was cute and interesting. A member of the baseball team, the new boy, named José, was athletic with dark bedroom eyes and jet black hair. Girls and guys befriended him. He was in one of Jeremy’s classes, and Jeremy would tell William of all the intelligent things he had said, but Jeremy continued to deny that he found José interesting.

William was feeling jealous, but Friday was his day to get with Jeremy at the trailer. William planned to remind Jeremy one of the reasons that they were together.

However, Jeremy failed to meet Jeremy for their ride to the trailer. William, wondering whether they got their communications crossed, drove out to the trailer. A car he didn’t recognize was parked there.

When he opened the trailer door, he saw the boy he loved with José’s dick in his ass. And, from what William could tell, José’s appendage was smaller than his, by almost two inches.

“I guess you found him more interesting than you let on,” said William.

“I didn’t want to hurt your feelings,” said Jeremy, “but I couldn’t help it.”

“I’m just fucking him,” said José. “We’re not getting married. “Take your clothes off, and I’ll fuck you, too.”

William closed his eyes. If Jeremy apologized for cheating, would he take him back? Would he ever trust him? He knew the answer. “Good-bye, Jeremy.” He went out to his car and blocked Jeremy’s number. He cried on the way home, but he had known their love would probably not last through the four years that Jeremy was away at college, but this way was a betrayal.

He couldn’t wait to get home and get a hug from his dad. He pulled into the driveway and parked. He did his best to pull himself together before going inside. He found his father sitting by the front window staring out at nothing.

“What’s wrong?” William asked.

“It’s Rodney. I got a text on his phone that he didn’t write. It said that there was an explosion of some kind, and he was killed. Oh, Willie, he won’t be coming back. I just can’t believe it.”

“Oh, Dad.” William hugged his father, and they both wept. He knew his father had fallen in love with Rodney, but he had begun to love him as well. He had become part of their family, and now there was a huge gaping hole in it. When a loved one leaves for work, he’s expected to return. Now, there was no Rodney, and no funeral to help them deal with the loss. A darkness settled over the Anderson home.

At school, rumors began to fly about Jeremy and José. William had not started them; someone had seen them kissing under the bleachers at the practice field. To complicate things further, people began to wonder why William and Jeremy were no longer friends. Some people claimed that William found out about Jeremy and José, and as a homophobe, he no longer wanted to associate with either of them. The other “rumor” was that Jeremy and William were together and that José had broken them apart. One day, at a lunchroom table, people began to bring it up again, and William had had his fill.

“Alright, you want the truth?”

The table got quiet.

“I don’t like it when I walk in on my boyfriend and someone else is fucking him.” William got up and walked out.

The quiet conversation after he left went from “I knew it” to “How awful for him.”

William noticed a change the next day at school. Several guys asked him if he wanted to hang out. One or two people who usually talked to him were polite, but a little less friendly. No one ridiculed or teased him. He did notice that someone had written ‘cheater’ on Jeremy’s locker. He actually felt bad for Jeremy.

None of the five guys who asked William to hang out were guys he was interested in dating, but he welcomed having friends who were open about his being gay. Three of them were gay themselves while the other two had gay brothers. William missed Jeremy; he missed the sex with Jeremy, but he enjoyed the new camaraderie with friends who were open. He decided that being out might not be as bad as he’d imagined.
