Seth’s Perspective

Saturday morning the BroMax minivan crunched its way up our drive with Gina and Dylan’s Suburban following behind, our kids ran out to greet everyone. It was Christmas tree hunting day and the kids were all so excited! We were all bundled up and ready to go to the tree farm. Gina buckled Izzy into the extra car seat in the back of her Suburban, and Freddy jumped into the extra seat in the back of the BroMax minivan leaving me and Zach to ride in peace… it’s funny how after a while of parenting you savor those childless moments, but miss them at the same time. We took the opportunity to talk about Christmas gifts for the kids... Kelly and Nathan’s place was empty, so we were storing all the presents there (and there were a LOT of them).

“So, my dad had an idea” Zach said. “He can apply for clearance to visit Karen, then go see her Christmas morning and bring the iPad so she could Facetime while the kids open their gifts. It’s the closest we’re going to get to having her there for at least 5-7 years.” It wasn’t ideal, but it was the best idea for including her so far.

“Do you really think they would let him do that?” I asked.

“Yeah, one of the partners at the firm has connections at the detention facility and said it was doable” Zach said as we drove.

“I can talk to her about it… It’s an awesome gesture and the kids would love it, but it might be hard for her to watch” I responded.

“But at least she’ll know we’re all committed to keeping her in their lives” Zach said. It was a sweet thought, but I wasn’t sure how Karen would react to the idea. We talked about it some more as we made our way to the tree farm, then I took the opportunity to call Mom and Pop Nicholls to tell them we weren’t coming for Christmas. They were disappointed but completely understood. Mom Nicholls told me that Kelly had offered them the condo if they wanted to get away for a while and they were thinking of taking them up on the offer in the Spring. I was excited by the idea and encouraged them to come, it would be fun having them visit! We talked for a bit and I hung up just as we were pulling into the tree farm. I couldn’t help but appreciate all the wonderful people that had touched my life over the years.

Ours was the last vehicle in the caravan of Christmas tree hunters, Freddy and Teddy were already jumping out of the BroMax minivan before we even parked the Atlas. I went over to Gina’s Suburban and got Izzy unbuckled while Gina and Dylan released Maggie, and got DJ settled in his stroller. The tree farm was out in the middle of nowhere. There were several rows of precut trees lined up, and then several acres of “cut your own” to choose from. Freddy and Teddy took off to explore the woods and find the best tree while the rest of us walked up and down the rows of precut trees together. Izzy and Maggie went to the section with the tiniest tabletop trees, “Dis one” Izzy said pointing at one of the smallest trees there.

Maggie pointed to one that was about the same size and said “I wike dis one.”

“There’s not much room for Santa to leave presents under those” Zach reasoned with the little ladies.

“And you’re both pretty good girls, so you might want to look at bigger trees so Santa has enough room to leave lots of presents” Gina added. Izzy and Maggie took in all the information, that logic made total sense to them and they moved towards the biggest trees on the lot. DJ just sat in his stroller all bundled up, sucking on his bottle, happy to take it all in as his daddy pushed him down the aisles of trees. The kids excitement was contagious. As we were all hunting for the perfect tree in the precut section, Freddy and Teddy came running back to the group.

“Dads, dads, c’mon” the two boys yelled as they tugged on our arms. “we found the best trees” Freddy added with unbridled excitement in his voice. Zach, Max, and Brody followed the boys while I hung back with Dylan, Gina, and the little ones. Eventually, we caught up with the boys, They had scoped out two huge, full Fraser firs at the end of the precut section. Maggie settled on the one next to them. We paid for the trees and dragged them to our vehicles and helped each other load them up and tie them down tight. Teddy threw the rope back and forth over the top of vehicles to Zach so he could secure our tree. Zach’s muscles flexed as he pulled the roped taut, I know this may sound stupid, but it was kinda hot watching Zach’s muscles bulge like that. My husband could make the mundane and ordinary sexy as fuck. Sorry, I lost myself in fantasy for a second…

Anyway, we all got our trees tied onto the roofs of our vehicles and were getting ready to part ways when Gina stopped us all in our tracks. She was holding two giftbags, “This is from our family to yours” she said handing one of the bags to Maggie to give to Izzy and Freddy, then she gave the other bag to Teddy. “This guy will go home with you and report back to Santa whether you are naughty or nice.” The kids opened their giftbags to find an Elf On The Shelf and a book (of course they all totally ignored the book). Gina explained the concept of the elf keeping an eye on them for Santa and the kids hung on her every word. “You get to name your own elves; Maggie tell them your Elf’s name.”

“Cocoa” The tiny little version of Gina said with pride.

Freddy and Teddy almost killed each other as they both yelled “BUDDY!” trying to claim the name for their own. They had just watched the movie Elf and it was the first name that popped into their heads.

“No. He Bob” Izzy said with a confident tone getting everyone’s attention. I have to add a side note here, Freddy was Izzy’s protector and in turn she was his greatest source of comedy. He listened to everything she said and got a huge kick out of her.

“Bob? Why Bob?” Freddy asked with a smile as he anticipated a punch line from his favorite comedian.

“It he name. He tewwed me” Izzy responded getting a laugh from her brother (Izzy to English: “It’s his name. He told me”).

Still laughing, Freddy shrugged then said, “Nice to meet you, Bob.”

Teddy let out a victorious “yes” having won the battle for the name. Then he looked at his elf and said, “nice to meet you Buddy” before adding, “I’m so good you’re gonna get bored” making the adults laugh.

Freddy decided to go for extra Elf points, “Thank you for giving us Bob Aunt Gina, Uncle Dylan, Maggie, and DJ” he said first. The other two followed suit. Gina had just added another Christmas tradition to our growing list, The Elf On The Shelf.  We were still a few weeks away from Christmas, but already we had started several traditions that I hoped would stick with our family through the years and create great memories. When I was growing up, Christmas was a religious holiday… The manger was the main decoration, we read Bible verses, and sang religious Christmas Carols; it was less celebratory and more like, “gloriously somber” maybe? That was all fine and dandy, but not what I wanted for our family. I wanted lights, and presents, and Santa, with anticipation, excitement, and wonder, surrounded by family, and love… I wanted those two little shits to experience Christmas magic! So did Zach.

We all jumped into our vehicles and sang Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer the whole way home while Izzy clung to Bob the Elf. When we got home, Zach and I untied the tree from the roof of the Atlas while Izzy and Freddy ran into the house to find a place for Bob The Elf to sit and watch them be good. A few hours later we had the tree in the stand where it would sit until Sunday when we decorated it, the boxes of ornaments and lights were out of the barn attic and sitting on the floor of the living room, and the four of us were in our pajamas. “Momma used to put Harold The Angel on top of our tree” Freddy said. He almost NEVER talked about life before he came to live with us.

“We have an angel somewhere” I said as I rummaged through the boxes.

“Harold is Momma’s special angel; she sat on top of her tree since she was a little girl” Freddy added. It really got me thinking about what their past Christmas’s were like, it sounded like Karen had some traditions of her own, maybe there was something from their past we could incorporate.

The rest of our night at home was very Norman Rockwell as Zach and I huddled on the couch with the kids on our laps. We tag-teamed reading the Elf On The Shelf book Gina (et al) had given us. Both kids were into it, but Izzy fell asleep near the end of the story. “Okay, bud,” Daddy Sach said as he lifted skinny little Freddy off his lap, “time for bed.” I was holding Izzy and Zach helped me stand up without waking her. We walked the kids up to their room where Zach tucked in Freddy and I lay Izzy in her bed, then we went back to the living room. We were drinking hot chocolate with the kids; I warmed our mugs and added some Peppermint Schnapps. The two of us talked more about Christmas gifts for the kids, traditions, etc.

“Freddy mentioned that their mom used to put Harold The Angel on top of the tree” I said.

“Yeah, I heard him tell you, I wonder what their Christmas’s were like” Zach replied, “I’m sure Karen tried to make it special for them.”

“Freddy told me in the car the other day that he met Santa a few times and that they always had a Christmas tree” I told Zach.

“Yeah, he told me the same thing, he said Santa brought him clothes and a firetruck last year” Zach replied.

That got me thinking, “I wonder what happened to all their stuff?” I asked.

“What stuff?”

“You know, their stuff… the firetruck, Harold The Angel” I responded. “I mean, they had a home before Karen got arrested, and a life before they came here. They celebrated Christmas and got presents… what happened to it all?” I had never really thought about that before, we were so focused on making sure the kids had everything they needed that I never thought about what they may have lost. Zach and I talked about what the kids life might have been like before us, we knew Karen had a little rental house in an old neighborhood outside of downtown. “I bet there were baby pictures” I said excitedly, “What the hell happened to it all?” We talked about it for a little.

“I can research it” Zach said. “Maybe I’ll set a visit with Karen and talk to her about it… do you think that would be weird?”

“Not if it’s for the kids” I responded, then we talked about how to approach Karen and what we might find. After that we just sat on the couch in front of the fireplace drinking our hot chocolate and Schnapps listening to Christmas music and just enjoying our alone time.

“Bob The Elf is creeping me out” Zach said as he looked at the elf sitting on our mantel. “It’s like he’s watching us and judging us.” I laughed.

“Let’s give him something to watch” I said leaning over, shoving my tongue down Zach’s throat, and grabbing his cinnamon stick through his PJ’s.

Zach grinned, “You know that little fucker will tell Santa we were bad.”

“Then we better be damn good” I said massaging his manhood with more purpose and kissing him harder. He was usually the instigator, but all the Christmas joy had put me in a mood and it felt kinda nice to be naughty. Zach resisted… for all of three seconds before he pulled his pajama bottoms to his ankles and kicked them off, then pulled his pajama top over his head and threw it off somewhere.  I leaned back just so I could look at his naked magnificence… fuck. Just fuck. After all these years I still had no clue why he chose me, if there was ever a being who could truly have their pick of absolutely anyone, it was Zach. He was perfect in every way! A hot blonde, all American, college soccer jock who stepped straight out of my masturbatory fantasies when we first met. Years later a rising star lawyer, a great husband and partner, and an amazing father. The whole fucking package… and speaking of packages, his was unwrapped and standing at attention, so I went down on him and showed my appreciation for the wonderful gift he was giving me.

Zach was sitting on the couch, I moved to the floor and knelt between his legs so I had better access. I leaned in and took in his scent… I loved the scents of the holidays, cinnamon, mulling spices, peppermint, pine… but Zach’s scent smelled like home and my nostrils were filled with it as I licked his sugarplums. Zach spread his legs further apart and stretched his legs to give me easier access. I took him all the way down his throat and buried my nose in his trimmed, blonde pubic bush. He lifted his cute, tight ass off the couch a little trying to go deeper, and his cute little toes curled as he did. He was loving every frigging second of it. I bobbed my head up and down as I slurped his candy cane and spread Christmas joy. My warm, wet mouth and talented hand woke every nerve ending in him like they were a bunch of excited kids on Christmas morn.

Zach’s quiet, appreciative moans were like carols from the heavens as I worked harder and harder to prove myself worthy of Santa’s nice list. “Oh, my fucking god” Zach growled in hushed appreciation of my efforts. “Yeah, baby, keep going. Right there. Fuck that feels so amazing” he grunted almost mindlessly as his hands found the back of my head and pushed down. He started to thrust his hips up and gently, but firmly fucked my face. I was choking on his perfection, tears were running down my cheeks, as I slurped and gurgled my way to Christmas magic. My hand massaged his sac of goodies and I could feel them tighten as he got closer and closer.

I broke through the tight reigns of his grip and pulled myself off him. I was still in my PJ’s and the Christmas music was softly playing in the background so I decided to do I striptease to Santa Clause Is Coming To Town. Epic fail! I’m sorry, but stripping and Christmas Carols do not mix. Zach laughed appreciatively at my efforts (it’s the thought that counts). When I was buck naked with the fire warming my cold, exposed ass, I straddled my husband. I put a knee on either side of him then reached back and lined him up with my hole, then up the chimney he went. Fuck, it felt so damn good to have him inside me. I lifted myself up and dropped myself down slowly at first and then with vigor and excitement. I threw my head back and my hands grabbed onto his broad shoulders, I was riding him like Santa’s sleigh and loving every damn bit of it.

“Yeah, Seth. I’m so close, keep riding me” Zach whimpered and begged. I stroked my own manhood in perfect time with my bouncing. “Yes. Yes. FUCK YES” Zach cried. Christmas was cumming, so were me and Zach… we shot in perfect unison, me on his chest and him up my ass. Oh my god the release was so sweet.  I collapsed on Zach, his softening cock still inside me. We stayed like that for a bit, my sweaty body dripping onto his muscular body.

“Report that back to Santa, Bob” I said looking at The Elf On The Shelf. Zach laughed, then gave me a kiss.

“Best gift ever” he said. It took a lot of efforts to gather our PJ’s, shut off the lights and make our way up to bed after our rigorous sex-session.  On our way up to bed, Zach set Bob the Elf on Freddy’s nightstand so he would be watching him when he woke up, if Freddy believed he moved there on his own then Izzy would believe too.

The next morning Freddy came running into our room, “Dads! Dads! He moved! Bob Moved! He’s in my room! He was watching me sleep!” Oh my god, it took everything I had not to crack up! He was so excited and cute!

“Nuh uh” Zach said. “He was sitting on the mantel last night when we went to bed… he couldn’t have just moved by himself.”

“Yeah, huh” Freddy said with wide eyes and over the top excitement in his voice. ‘I woke up and… and… he was staring at me and…” He was so animated.

“I don’t believe it! Show me” Zach said. With that Freddy thanked him out of bed and down the hall to show him. A minute later Freddy and Zach came running back into our room, this time Zach was yelling excitedly, “Daddy Zeff, Daddy Zeff! It’s true! Bob moved from the mantel to Freddy’s nightstand all by himself last night!”

“Nuh uh!” I exclaimed as I ran down the hall to check out this Christmas miracle. Zach and I were doing our damnedest not to crack up, but Freddy’s excitement was so over the top. He ran across the hall to wake up Izzy and tell her about Bob’s adventure from the mantle to his nightstand.

She walked across the hall to Freddy’s room so she could witness the Christmas miracle for herself. She walked up to the elf, looked him in the eye and said, “I good, Bob.” They were buying into it hook line and sinker. Between threat of Santa not coming and the fear of Bob reporting all acts of naughty back to him… we were practically guaranteed perfect children until Christmas. Gina was a genius. After the excitement of Bob The Elf doing his thing, we got up and had breakfast. While we were eating, Zach snuck out and moved Bob to one of Izzy’s drawers so he’d be there when we went to dress her.

“Who’s ready to decorate the tree today?” I asked at breakfast get a unanimous “ME!!!” from our crew.

“So, what do you guys want Santa to bring you?” Zach asked.

“I want a bike so I can go to Teddy’s by myself” Freddy said.

“You’re too young to go by yourself” I said instinctively.

“But if me and Teddy had bikes, then we could ride them around the yard together. I’m old enough for that” Freddy said pleading his case, it was clear he and Teddy had a plan (little did they know they were both already getting bikes).

“What else do you want?” Zach asked.

“Nothin’” Freddy said.

“Bowbee dow, an a Bowbee house” Izzy chimed in (Izzy to English translation, “I would like Santa to bring me a Barbie doll and a Barbie house”).

“Wow. You gotta be a really good girl if you’re gonna ask Santa for all that” Zach said.

Izzy just nodded, “I a good guro” (Izzy to English translation, “I am a good girl”). Yup. She was right about that.

After breakfast we decorated the tree together. Freddy helped Daddy Sach with the lights, and Izzy took about half the ornaments and placed them on the only two branches of the tree she could reach.

By the time we were done we had a tree with unevenly distributed lights and half the ornaments on the bottom. It was the most beautiful tree in the world.
