Chapter 9

Blake and I talked after we left the Pink Parrot, we decided to go home for the night and start again early in the morning. Lucas and Lucy were sleeping on the couch when I walked into the house, I gave him a kiss to wake him up.

He asked, “did you get him?”

I smiled, “no, he slipped out before we got there.” I pulled Lucas to his feet, “come on, let’s go to bed.”

I pulled him close to me as I tried to drift off to sleep. All the events of the day running through my head were slowing that process down. Lucas’s steady breathing as he fell asleep helped me let those thoughts drain away. Even Lucy’s littles snores, as she laid at my feet, seemed to lull me to sleep.

The next morning, Lucas was standing in the kitchen with a cup of coffee as I came out of the bedroom. He gave me a kiss as he handed me the cup. He smiled, “have a good day, Drake.”

I smiled back, “I’ll try, thanks.” He handed me the recipe card as I walked out the door.

Blake was already in the office when I got there, I handed him the recipe card.

He put the card in his pocket and chuckled, “thanks, I’ll let you know if my wife does as well with this as Lucas did.”

I asked, “so, you’re here early, what have you got figured out?”

He was typing on his keyboard, “I did a quick search for Randy Graves, he’s 22, lives with his girlfriend in an apartment on Willow Street. He works at the Distribution Center in the Industrial Park.”

I asked, “so why was he at the Pink Parrot last night? Was trying to pick up Dave, or was Dave trying to pick him up?”

Blake shrugged, “I’m not sure, I think we should take a drive down the industrial park and ask him.”

I nodded, “yep, I was thinking the same thing. It should be about starting time at the warehouse in 20 minutes, if we hurry, we can catch him before he starts work.”

We arrived as a bunch of people were walking in the door marked, Employee Entrance. We followed them through the door. A man standing near the time clock, that appeared to be in charge, stopped us.

He said, “I’m sorry gentlemen, this is an employee entrance, you will need to check in at the office. They won’t be open for another hour.”

I pulled out my badge and said, “I’m detective Ridgeway with the Miami Police Department, with your permission we have a few questions for one of your workers.”

He looked at our badges, “I’m Terry Baker, shift supervisor, who are looking for?”

I said, “we just have a couple questions for Randy Graves, is he here yet?”

Randy came walking out of what appeared to be a breakroom, Terry yelled, “Graves, these guys need to talk to you.”

Randy paused before he walked toward us, and we identified ourselves. He asked, “what is this about?”

I said, “we just have a couple quick questions for you, it won’t take long.”

He looked at Terry Baker, then back to us, he said, “I’m just starting my shift, can we do this later?”

I said, “no, it would be better if we do this now. Mr. Baker is it ok if we talk to Randy out in the parking lot, he didn’t do anything wrong. We think he may have been a witness in a case we are working on, I assure you it won’t take more than five minutes.”

Terry Baker nodded, “why don’t you get this taken care of Randy, let me know when you are done.”

Blake smiled, “thank you, we won’t keep him long.”

We stepped outside and out of earshot of the other employees entering the building.

He said, “If this about last night at the Pink Parrot, I don’t want to press any charges.”

I said, “we just want to know how much you know about Dave, the guy you were talking to.”

He shrugged, “he was just a guy that sat next to me, I had never met him before. We were each just there for a beer, that’s it.”

Blake asked, “did he ask you to come back with him to his place?”

Randy’s face turned red, “no, I’m not gay, I have a girlfriend.”

I said, “we don’t care about your personal life, we need to talk to Dave, we believe he is involved with two other missing person cases. We also believe that he was targeting you last night, but thanks to a quick-thinking bartender you are here at work instead of missing.”

Randy asked, “why would he target me?”

Blake said, “we don’t think he targeted you specifically, you were alone last night. He drugged your beer, and we believe he would have taken you back to his place if you had taken a drink.”

Randy began to look worried, “what did he want to do to me?”

I said, “we don’t know, that’s what we are trying to figure out. Did he mention where his place was?”

He shook his head, “he didn’t tell me where it was, he just said it was only a few blocks away. I think he said something about an apartment on 34th Street.”

We asked Randy a few more questions and showed him a picture of Dave just to confirm we were talking about the same guy. He was much more cooperative when he realized how close he came to having something bad happening to him. We at least had a lead on where this guy lived, or at least where he stayed.

As we were getting ready to leave, Randy asked, “you don’t have to tell my girlfriend about this, do you?”

Blake said, “we won’t need to talk to your girlfriend, but you may have to tell her something, if we need you to testify in court once we catch this guy.”

He nodded as he walked back into the warehouse. We got into my Explorer and drove out of the parking lot.

I said, “I think we have a curious guy trying to hook up while his girl is out of town.”

Blake asked, “really? You think so?”

I chuckled, “oh yeah, I would be willing to bet that he won’t peeking out of that closet again any time soon, after what happened last night. Plus, did you see the look on his face when you told him he may have to tell his girlfriend what happened?”

He shrugged, “huh.”

Rob Wilcox was still trying to come up with a plan to get out of the house he was being held in. The more he talked to Kyle, Zack, Brady, Nick, and Jared, the more he understood why they didn’t mind being here. They had all come from bad homes, either before or after they had come out as gay. Rob though about his own family, he knew they wouldn’t like him being gay, but he had a hard time imaging that they would kick him out of the family. Rob also could see the appeal of having a nice place to live, but he was happy with his life with Cory. Rob was worried that he was starting to somewhat like it here, after all it was a nice place and all his needs were being met, even though he was missing Cory. It was clear, he was going to have to hope that someone was looking for him and to be rescued or think of something on his own to get away.

All six guys were sitting in the main living room as Chuck walked in with his camera and began to set it up. He turned to the six guys and said, “we haven’t had a group scene since the new guy got here, everybody get together in front of the couch and let’s get started.”

Kyle and Rob were already on the couch, they stood and began to kiss. Zach and Nick moved in next to them, they were also kissing, Brady and Jared soon joined in. The pairs continued to kiss as they pulled each other’s clothes off. Once they were all naked, Zach and Nick went to their knees in front of Rob and Kyle, they each took a cock onto their mouths. Brady and Jared also went to their knees and moved in behind Kyle and Rob and started to tongue their asses. Kyle and Rob continued kiss as the other four all stood up, Nick was now behind Kyle, rubbing his cock along Kyle’s ass crack, Zach was doing the same to Rob. Brady and Jared also took their place behind Nick and Zach. Kyle and Rob broke their kiss and moved out as Nick and Brady now moved in to kiss with Brady and Jared rubbing their cocks along their cracks. Rob and Kyle took their place behind Brady and Jared. The six guys rotated one more time, Rob and Kyle were now in the center of the other four.

A bottle of lube suddenly appeared, Brady and Jared leaned over the couch, Kyle lubed his dick and Brady’s ass, Rob did the same to Jared. Kyle and Rob were soon fucking Brady and Jared, Nick and Zach took their place behind Kyle and Rob and lubed up. Rob and Kyle were now the center of a sex sandwich, all six were in perfect sync and moaning and groaning in unison. Before long, all the boys were breathing heavy and Brady was laying on the couch jacking his cock, fast and furious, he spilled his seed all over his stomach and chest. Rob and Kyle both exploded at the same time, adding their baby makers to Brady’s. Nick was next, followed a few seconds later by Zach, Jared finally added his seed to the cum cocktail that was pooling on Brady’s heaving chest.

Chuck shut the camera off, “good job guys, go ahead and hit the showers and clean this mess up.”

As he was taking the camera down as his phone rang, he answered, “yeah, we just finished a show, it was a group…”

He paused, “yeah, but why? What’s up?”

He listened to the phone for a bit more, “sure thing, no, no problem, I’ll take care of it.”

Chuck quickly put the camera away and hurried out the door, as the boys took their showers.

Blake and I drove straight to the apartment building on 34th Street, we had no idea which apartment belonged to Dave. We checked the mailboxes and couldn’t find the name of any of the alias that we knew about, no Dave, Bo, or Jesse Snyder. We did find “building super”, behind Jack and Cindy Harris’s name, she lived in apartment 1C.

I held my badge up as she answered the door, I said, “Mrs. Harris, I’m detective Ridgeway and this is detective Robbins, can we ask you a few questions?”

Cindy Harris appeared to be in her late twenties, stood about 5’8” with sandy blonde hair, that she had pulled back into a ponytail. She was wearing a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops and looked like we interrupted her vacuuming. We learned she lived here with her husband Jack, he worked construction, they had no kids, and she managed the apartment building so she didn’t have to work outside the home.

She looked at both of our badges, “sure detective.” She stepped outside her door.

I asked, “do you have a tenant named Jesse Snyder?”

She shook her head, “no sir, I don’t.”

Blake asked, “what about someone named Dave or Bo.”

She again shook her head, “I don’t think so, do you know their last name?”

Blake said, “no, we don’t, we believe that his real name is Jesse Snyder, Dave and Bo are aliases.”

Cindy Harris said, “I can get my tenant listing if you like.”

I said, “that would be great, if you don’t mind.”

She stepped back into her apartment and returned just a few seconds later. We looked through her list and were unable to find anything close to the names we were looking for.

Blake pulled the picture of Dave out of his bag and asked, “how about this guy, have you ever seen him?”

She nodded, “sure, several times. He always goes to Kate Clark’s apartment, 2A. I assumed they were dating.”

I asked, “do you remember the last time he was here?”

She thought for a minute, “not for sure, I think he was here last week sometime, but I can’t say what day for sure.”

I asked, “does he ever spend the night?”

She shrugged, “I guess he could, I don’t really pay too much attention. Look detectives, Kate is a decent tenant, she pays her rent and isn’t loud. She is single, so if she has a guy over, it’s none of my business. This guy doesn't have a car, so I don’t have to deal with other tenants complaining about parking. I also don’t keep close tabs on who comes and goes as long as they don’t cause any problems.”

Blake said, “we understand, do you know if Miss Clark is home?”

She shook her head, “I don’t think so, she works downtown and usually gets home after 5 every day.”

After a few more questions, we thanked Cindy Harris for her time and help. Just to be sure, we went to Kate Clark’s apartment and knocked on the door. We didn’t hear any sounds coming from inside and no one answered the door.

We drove back to the station to discuss our next move. On our way to my office, we stopped and updated the captain.

I asked, “did we have any more disappearances reported while we were out?”

He chuckled, “not that I know of, should we be expecting one?”

I shrugged, “not sure, but the way things have gone this last week, I wouldn’t be surprised.”

We sat at my desk to compare our notes, Blake asked, “what’s our next step?”

I sighed, “I think we should go back and pay Miss Clark a visit this afternoon, after she gets home from work.”

Alex was sitting in the room with his three new friends, he had learned that they all came from a fairly similar background to what he did. The only difference was, he was doing his best to work through his past, the others seemed to be content to be living their life depending on others. He was wondering if Claire or his boss had reported him missing and if anyone was looking for him.

All four boys were sitting on their beds as they heard the door being unlocked, they all turned to the door as Chuck walked in. Alex was expecting him to give them their next costumes to wear and be paraded in front of their next customer.

Chuck said, “There will be no more customers until further notice, you all need to be ready to go to the country house on a moment’s notice. I will be back as soon as I get the word.”

All four guys just looked at each other as Chucked walked back out the door and locked it behind him.

We went back to the 34th Street apartment building and waited for Kate Clark to return home from work. We watched as a car with a single women parked in the spot reserved for apartment 2A. We waited until she got into her apartment, and we saw the lights come on. We pulled our badges out as we knocked on the door.

The smiled faded from her face when she saw us standing in her door, I said, “Miss Clark, detective Ridgeway with the Miami police department, can I ask you a few questions?”
