Ollie

I was seeing white vans in my sleep after the last couple of days. I watched so many hours of surveillance footage and traffic cam videos, I think if I see another white van, I just might scream. I offered no argument when Ridge suggested we call it a night. I know we have just received a few new leads, but I think we all needed a little time to clear our heads, I know I did.

I sent Andy a quick text that said that I was on my way home. He responded with a big smiley face and thumbs up emoji. He told me he had dinner almost ready, and he would have a drink waiting for me when I got home. I thought back to the night that we met, or I should say, the night Lucas set us up. I really do need to thank Lucas for that, by the way.

There was just something about those brown eyes, I could get lost in those eyes forever. We have been together for almost three years now; I don’t think we have ever had a disagreement. I know Ridge was concerned that we were moving a little bit fast when we moved in together so quickly, but neither Andy nor I had any regrets. I was smiling my entire drive home; I think this is the feeling that Ridge told me about. I guess I caught him in a weak moment while we were sitting in the car on a stakeout last year. He asked how Andy and I were doing, and I said I knew he was the one, but I always had a hard time expressing those feelings.

Ridge chuckled, “You smile whenever you think of him. You can’t wait to see him at the end of the day. You miss him whenever he is gone. You can’t sleep if he’s not beside you. I can have the worst day, and as soon as I see him, I smile.”

I saw a little smile on his face, I asked, “Are you talking about me and Andy or you and Lucas?”

He turned to me with a grin and a shrug, “Yes.”

I laughed, “You just described my feeling perfectly.”

Not only was Ridge my professional mentor, but he was quickly becoming my personal one as well. It was very clear to see what Ridge and Lucas have is real, I was glad that I was having the same feelings toward Andy. I did love him.

As I walked in the door, the weight of the day just drained away when I saw Andy smile at me and hand me a gin and tonic. He, of course, followed the drink up with a kiss. That was when I noticed he wasn’t wearing a shirt under his apron. The hair on his chest peeking out around the straps that went around his neck. The olive skin that covered his muscular shoulders always made me weak in the knees.

Andy grinned, “I’m trying one of Lucas’s recipes, I can turn the oven down to warm if you want to shower first.”

I took a swig of my drink and gave him another kiss, “Only if you want to join me.”

Andy’s grin widened and he took my hand and started to walk toward the bathroom. My smile also got bigger when I saw that the only thing he was wearing, was that apron. God that ass was so hot.  So round and full and just the right amount of fur. I couldn’t help myself; I reached out and grabbed a handful as we walked down the hall. I pulled the apron string that was tied around Andy’s waist as we got into the bathroom.

He responded by turning back to me and pulling me in for a passionate kiss. He only stopped kissing me long enough to rip my clothes off. I wasn’t objecting and was pulling the apron over his head, so we were both completely naked. We started kissing again, his dark, hairy torso pressed tight against my pale smooth chest. Andy’s hands were now cupping my firm ass as our manhoods rubbed together, leaving a trail precum across our abs.

I reached into the shower to turn the water on as we continued groping each other. We stepped under the water as Andy turned me away from him. He wrapped his arms around me and ran his hands up and down my chest, his hard cock nestling in the crack of my ass. I stood there limp, well my body was limp, my dick was anything but. Andy poured some shampoo into his hand and began to sensually message my scalp. I reached back to grab his thighs to steady myself as my legs had suddenly turned to jelly. The shampoo ran down my body as Andy rinsed my hair clean. Andy’s hands soon followed those suds with the body wash, he did not miss a single inch of my entire body.

The man could make something as mundane as bathing oneself, the most sensual experience. I could just stand there with his arms wrapped around me and hot water beating down on me forever. There were suddenly no missing persons, no white vans, just me and Andy in our own little world. I felt his huge pole going back and forth between my legs and picking up speed. I suddenly had the desire to taste the man that I love.

I turned around for another kiss and then sank to my knees. I came face to face with that magnificent one-eyed monster; I parted my lips so my tongue could lick the drop of precum that formed. The taste unleashed the beast within me, and I soon had Andy’s cum-filled nuts against my chin and his cock down my throat. He had his hands on the back of my head as I did my best to please him. The moans were getting louder, and his breath was beginning to quicken, Andy pulled me to my feet for another kiss.

Just as quickly, he was on his knees and was giving me the same treatment that I had been giving him moments before. As Andy worked over my manhood, he also began to rub a finger across my rosebud. He really did know how to get my motor running. I could feel my love lava starting to flow to the surface. Thankfully, Andy let my cock fall from his mouth as he smiled up at me. He stood for another kiss, and we finished our shower.

He asked, “Shall we take this to the bed, so we are both more comfortable?”

I nodded, “I think that is a very good idea.”

I once again took a deep breath as I watched that ass lead me to the bed. We were soon sprawled across the bed, each with the other’s dick in our mouth. As much as I loved that big cock, I loved what it was attached to even more. All those things Ridge said ran through my head again, they were all so true. Getting to taste this meat was just the best bonus ever.

Andy pulled my leg up slightly, I knew what he wanted, and I wanted to give it him. I spread my legs as wide as I could and was soon rewarded with a warm, wet tongue lapping at my hole. I let out a heavy sigh and rolled onto my back, reluctantly releasing Andy’s cock from my mouth. He now had full access to my ass and as always, was sending me into orbit. I held my ankles as Andy munched on my hole for what seemed like hours, of course, I was not complaining.

I panted, “Oh God, will you just fuck me already?”

Andy licked his lips as he came up for a kiss, feeding me my own juices. We made out as he guided his love missile into my launching pad. We were soon in sync, and he was hitting my sweet spot with every stroke. My cock was trapped between his rock-hard abs and mine, the friction was edging me closer to the brink. From the look in Andy’s eyes, he was close as well.

We once again locked lips and Andy gave one final thrust, sending us both over the edge. We stayed locked together until our spasms stopped and our breathing returned to normal. Andy smiled at me as he rolled to my side and wrapped his arms around me.

I said, “That was amazing.”

He held me tighter, “Yes, it was.”

We lay in each other’s arms for a few more minutes. Andy broke the silence, “So, should we get married?”

I shrugged, “Sure, why not.”

After another brief silence, we both burst out laughing. I asked, “Did you just ask me to marry you?”

He nodded, “Yeah, I think so. Did you just accept?”

I chuckled, “I did. I guess it wasn’t a Hallmark movie proposal, but I love you and I do want to marry you.”

Andy smiled, “I love you too and it does seem like it is the next step for us. It may not have been the most romantic acceptance, but I say, let’s do it.”

I answered him with another kiss. We cleaned up, ate our supper and went right back to bed for round two. We woke up early the next morning still laughing about how we decided to get married, but we were both still in agreement. We both headed to work excited to share our good news.

Ridge

I was in my office early the next morning. Because of the flyer that Lindsey Carroll helped us distribute, we had four witnesses come forward saying that a man had been on campus asking about DJ Willers and Wyatt Tillman. We had meetings set up with those four students. I also wanted to talk to Mark and Kyle in the tech lab to see if they made any more progress enhancing the license plate from the van.

I heard Blake at his desk and went out to go over the plan for this morning. I saw him sitting at his desk just staring out into space with a blank look on his face. Before I could ask him what was going on, Ollie walked in with a dopey grin on his face.

I looked between the two, and asked, “Okay, what’s up with you two? One looks like the cat that swallowed the canary, and the other looks like he just saw a ghost.”

Ollie blurted out, “We’re getting married.”

I chuckled, “You and Andy? That’s great Ollie. I didn’t even know you guys were thinking about marriage.”

He shrugged, “We had talked about it a little bit, nothing very serious. Last night we were lying in bed and Andy just asked if I thought we should get married.”

I laughed, “Not the most romantic proposal, but congratulations. I’m happy for you both.”

I turned to Blake, his expression had not changed, and he still hadn’t said a word.

I asked, “So what is up with you?”

He finally blinked and let out a big sigh, “Hannah is pregnant.”

I said, “I take it this was not planned.”

He shook his head, “No, not at all. I actually have an appointment next week to… um… take care of things so this wouldn’t happen again.”

I smiled, “Well, congratulations anyway. Sometimes the best things in life are surprises.”

Blake said, “Wait, did Ollie just say he was getting married?”

Ollie laughed, “Yes, I did. Daddy.”

Blake shook his head, “Yeah, I guess it isn’t the worst thing in the world to happen, it’s just kind of unexpected. Congrats Ollie, I’m happy for you and Andy.”

Ollie said, “Congrats to you too.”

I asked, “So is everyone done with news now, so we can get to work?”

I decided to give Ollie and Blake a little break from looking at traffic cam footage and sent them to go talk our students that called the tip line. I wanted to go see what Mark and Kyle had to tell me. We went over a few more details before Blake and Ollie headed out the door. I grabbed my notebook and headed down to see the tech guys.

I found Mark looking over Kyle’s shoulder, they were looking intently at his computer screen.

I asked, “Anything interesting?”

Mark said, “Ridge, we were just getting ready to call you.”

I replied, “Good morning Mark, Kyle. How is your son Mark?”

Mark smiled, “Doing much better. He was a little disappointed when he learned that his mom went to his school to get his homework. He was hoping to sit at home all week playing his Xbox. He’ll be well enough to go back to school on Monday, again, much to his disappointment.”

I said, “Glad he’s doing well. What have you guys found?”

Mark said, “Kyle was right. The spacing was all wrong, it does look like a custom plate. It does look like a 5 to us too, although, it is a bit fuzzy. The glare from the lights seems to be distorting it a little. We are still trying to enhance it a bit more. We also just got some footage from the Walmart cams. Ollie just sent it to us. We just need a little more time to go over it, I think we see the same 5 as you and the other witnesses saw. Hopefully, since this footage is in the daylight, we may have an easier time enhancing it.”

I sighed, “At least we’re on the right track for now.”

Mark nodded, “If you give us another hour, we may have more for you.”

I said, “Keep me posted and thanks Kyle for getting right on this for me.”

Kyle smiled, “You’re welcome, that’s what I’m here for.”

Mark said, “I’ll call you as soon as we find something.”

I headed back upstairs hoping Blake and Ollie would turn something up after interviewing our four college students.

Devin

I had compiled all my notes from my evening with Ridge and Lucas. I had a few follow-up questions for Ridge. I had also interviewed a few more of Slocum’s victims and had those notes outlined. I was making good progress and was feeling good about having all my information by the time Mike got to town on Friday. I really wanted us to have a relaxing weekend and didn’t want to have Mike sitting around if I was still working. I decided to stop by the police station to see if Ridge had a few minutes to see me.

I checked in with the desk sergeant and was told Rodge was in the building but talking to the tech guys. He told me I could have a seat in the waiting area, and he would see if Ridge could see me. I thanked him and took my seat to wait.

A few minutes later, a woman walks in and asks to see Ridge, like me, she was told she can have a seat to wait. She takes the seat next to me.

She smiles as she sits down and asks, “Are you waiting to see Detective Ridgeway?”

I nod, “Yes, but my business is not pressing. You are welcome to go first if you like.” I added, “I’m Devin Taylor by the way.” I held out my hand as she offered hers.

She said, “No, I am mostly just stopping by to say hi. Detective Ridgeway is investigating my mother’s disappearance. I’m Wendy Nelson.”

I said, “I’m sorry. Did you say investigating? You mean she is still missing?”

She nodded, “Yes, for a little over five years now. We are in town to get rid of her furniture and things.”

I asked, “Does that mean Ridge has stopped his investigation?”

She smiled, “No, not at all. I don’t think he will ever give up. I just know my mother, the longer she is gone, the more I think she wants to stay missing.”

I furrowed my brow, “What do you mean?”

She sighed, “As I told Detective Ridgeway, mom had changed after her and dad divorced, and she moved out here. I know she made some new friends, but she never really told me anything about them. She has always been a private person, but she seemed to get even more secretive. Whenever I asked her questions, she would only give vague answers. I really do think she just left with a friend and basically started a new life.”

I was trying to understand what I had just heard. I asked, “Were you not very close to your mother?”

Wendy shrugged, “I guess I was always a daddy’s girl. I got along fine with mom, but we were never as close as some of my friends were with their mothers. I am an only child and given the choice, I always helped dad change the oil in his truck before I would go shopping with mom.”

I asked, “Was the divorce messy?”

She shook her head, “No, it was very civil and as soon as it was over, mom moved to Miami. Dad stayed in San Diego. I was already married so I stayed too. I know dad and mom talked often after mom moved, and I have never heard either of them say anything bad about the other. They really should have never gotten married in the first place. They are just too different, and they both realized it.”

I was fascinated by what Wendy was telling me. Not that it was part of the story that I was writing, but I still wanted to hear more. Before I could ask any more questions, Ridge came walking down the hall. I had already told Wendy about the book I was writing, so she told me I could talk to Ridge first.

I asked, “Are you sure?”

She smiled, “Yes, you were here first, and my husband and kids won’t be back for another half hour to pick me up.”

I nodded, “Thank you, and after you are done I would love to talk to you for a little longer. If you have time, I will buy the coffee, and please bring your husband and kids along.”

Wendy said, “Sure, we don’t have any plans until later this afternoon.”

Ridge greeted us both and I followed him to his office.

I said, “I promise not to take too much of your time, I know you are busy.”

Ridge smiled, “Thank you. I’m waiting for Blake and Ollie to get back from some interviews, and the tech guys are reviewing some camera footage for me, so I have a few minutes.”

I quickly asked my follow-up questions and Ridge answered them just as quickly. The picture of Joann Chandler on Ridge’s unsolved wall caught my eye.

I pointed to the picture and said, “I know you probably can’t say too much, but do you have any new leads on her case?”

He sighed, “No, not in over a year.”

I asked, “Can I ask what you have investigated so for?”

He paused, “Well, we asked all the obvious questions. We talked to all of her friends and coworkers. Since she was fairly new in town, she didn’t have many friends, and she was kind of quiet around her coworkers. There was nothing out of place in her apartment, it was just as if she walked away. It didn’t seem as if she was dating anyone, so that led nowhere. The person that she seemed closest to, was her pastor and he hadn’t seen her in the week before she disappeared.”

I could see that it really bothered him that he had not solved this case. I didn’t want to push my luck; I was surprised that he had told me as much as he did. I guess it didn’t really matter, there wasn’t anything I could to help anyway.

I said, “Thank you again for your time Ridge, I really have a lot of notes to write my book. You and all the victims have been very helpful. I will be in touch after Mike gets to town tomorrow afternoon to see if we can set up a time to get together.”

He smiled, “Please do, I am looking forward to meeting him.”

I headed back out to the reception area and sat down to wait for Wendy as she joined Ridge in his office.
