In case any of you missed the hint at the end of “Glass Houses”, this will be a cross over story. Devin and Mike will travel to Miami to meet Ridge and Lucas as well as the rest of the “Miami” gang. Of course, Ridge, Blake and Ollie will have a new missing persons case to solve while they try to answer all of Devin’s questions for his newest book.
DJ Willers
DJ is in his first year of college at the University of Miami. He came from Augusta, Georgia, against the wishes of both of his parents. DJ was very impressed with U of M’s engineering program and was sure this was the best place to get his degree. This was the second time in the last year that DJ had disappointed his parents. Maybe disappointed wasn’t the right word, but that is the best word that DJ had come up with. It was about a year ago, when DJ’s mom caught him with Ted Harper. They weren’t having sex, just kissing, but that didn’t matter to his parents. DJ had planned on coming out to them soon, or at least before he left for college, but this did speed things up a bit. It was a rough couple of months, but by the time he graduated from high school things were almost back to normal. DJ’s dad, Tom, was still dealing with finding out his only son was gay. Both DJ’s Mom, Beth, and Tom had told him several times over the last few months that they still loved him. His younger sister Dana had always been supportive.
DJ was glad that he could leave for college without having to hide his sexuality. Ted wasn’t so lucky, his father reacted by kicking him out of the house. Ted had to move over two hours away to live with his older sister. DJ had not seen him since that day. While he felt sorry for Ted, DJ knew that the only reason he and Ted were together was because they were the only other gay person that each other knew. He was sure that they would not have seen each other after they left for college anyway. DJ was looking forward to making new friends in Miami and with any luck he would also find a boyfriend.
The one person from his hometown that DJ was not going to miss was Anna Watkins. She was convinced that she was his girlfriend. DJ considered Anna a friend and she was a girl, but Anna thought that they were soul mates and would be together forever. DJ had even told her he was gay six months before he was caught with Ted. She just laughed and told him to quit kidding around. Anna had maintained that they had been together since grade school, so they were destined to be married. The reality was, she and DJ grew up next door to each other and were simply placed together throughout school because of their names. Watkins came in front of Willers alphabetically; they were just always seated next to each other in all their classes. Thankfully, Anna’s parents were making her stay in Georgia to attend college. DJ finally felt free to live his life as he saw fit.
Not long after DJ arrived on campus, he saw a notice for an upcoming meeting for gay students. He decided this would be a good place to make a few friends. He met Noah Chang at that meeting. DJ was thrilled when Noah asked him for a date. After they had been seeing each other for a few weeks, they made plans to go to Club 1902. The club was a popular hangout for college students that were underage. They didn’t serve alcohol but had a disc jockey most nights and, on some weekends, a live band. It got its name because it was located at 1902 Willshire Boulevard. While many straight students frequented the club, it was known to be friendly to the gay student community.
DJ looked at himself in the mirror after his shower. He ran his hands through his sandy blonde hair, giving it that tussled look. His blue-gray eyes sparkled slightly when he smiled, and his dimples made an appearance. He wasn’t overly muscular, but he wasn’t a skinny runt either. His hairless chest had some definition and if you looked hard enough, you could see his six-pack abs. As DJ finished shaving and brushing his teeth, he was thinking of Noah and felt his cock start to swell, causing a tent to form in the towel that was wrapped around his waist.
Noah was a sexy Asian, with jet black hair and dark brown, almost black eyes. DJ always got lost in those eyes. DJ had imagined what Noah’s body looked like, although he had yet to see it, up until now they had just kissed and fondled each other a little. He wasn’t getting his hopes up for tonight to be the night he would see that body but was hoping that the day would come soon.
DJ was startled out of his primping by a knock at his door. He tightened the towel around his waist as he walked to answer the door. He assumed it was his neighbor Todd; he always stopped over at the most inopportune times. Instead of Todd, DJ was greeted by a smiling Noah.
Noah said, “I’m sorry. I know I’m a half hour early, but I just couldn’t wait to see you.”
DJ smiled, “It’s fine, I’m not quite dressed yet, but come on in.”
The tent in DJ’s towel was getting bigger as he let Noah in. Just the thought of Noah being in the same room while the thin terry cloth of the towel was the only thing preventing Noah from seeing DJ in all his glory was really turning him on.
DJ said, “Make yourself at home. I’ll get dressed and be right back.”
Noah stood in front of DJ, grinned and said, “Don’t go to any trouble on my account.”
DJ’s heart began to race as Noah stepped closer and their lips met. The passionate kiss caused DJ’s cock to swell to full hardness. When he felt Noah run his hand along the length, DJ become lightheaded. They continued to kiss as Noah hooked a finger on the towel and let it fell to the floor. DJ gasped as Noah wrapped his hand around DJ’s stiff rod and gave it a gentle tug. DJ immediately began pulling at Noah’s clothes, he had to feel Noah’s naked flesh against his.
Up until this point, DJ had only kissed another guy. He had never had his cock touched nor had he ever touched another man. He stood back to get a good look at Noah after his clothes were removed. Noah was slightly more muscular than DJ and was completely hairless. DJ was surprised to see that Noah shaved everything, even around his magnificent uncut 6-inch cock.
As the pair resumed their kissing, DJ cupped Noah’s smooth nuts and began to stroke his dick. Noah was doing the same to DJ. Noah guided DJ to the couch and pushed him down. Noah went to his knees in front of him and started to lick his pole. DJ melted into the couch as Noah’s mouth surrounded DJ’s manhood, taking it entirely down his throat. Noah fondled DJ’s cum-filled nuts, and he increased the suction on DJ’s overstimulated love stick. DJ was no longer in control, every nerve in his body was tingling. Before he could even warn Noah, his cock began to spasm, sending his sperm flying into Noah’s mouth. Noah locked his lips on DJ even tighter to ensure not a drop of DJ’s nectar was spilled.
Noah wiped his mouth with the back of his hand as he took a seat on the couch with a big smile. DJ went to his knees in front of Noah. He needed to taste Noah’s seed. For the first time in his life, DJ had a cock in his mouth, and he liked it. After a small gag, he quickly found a rhythm and had Noah moaning. Noah held his head as DJ bobbed up and down. Just as quickly as DJ had done, Noah was soon feeding DJ a mouthful of creamy babymakers. DJ rose from the floor, and the pair were soon sharing a cum flavored kiss.
Noah broke their kiss, “I’m sorry, but when I saw you in just a towel, I just couldn’t resist.”
DJ chuckled, “Yeah, I was hoping this would happen, but I wasn’t expecting it before our night out.”
Noah shrugged, “We can still have our night out, and maybe after that we can continue…”
DJ smiled, “I would like that.”
They dressed and headed to the club, meeting some of their other friends. DJ and Noah danced and enjoyed their date. DJ was looking forward to getting back to his place so they could continue what they had started earlier.
DJ and Noah walked out of the club at a little after midnight, they were holding hands as they walked to Noah’s car. Just as they stepped off the curb to walk across the street, a van pulled in front of them as the side door flew open. Before they knew what was going on, they were pulled inside, and the van sped away.
Ridge
I was sitting at my desk, going through some paperwork. God, I hate this damn paperwork. It had been a slow week which is a good thing, but I still hate it. I mean, it’s a good thing that we didn’t have people disappearing, but it was boring as hell. The only thing we did all week was find a couple of run aways. Both were teens that had had a fight with their parents, we found them at a friend’s house. As I was wrapping up my final report on both cases, my phone rang.
I answered, “Missing persons, this is Detective Ridgeway.”
The voice on the phone said, “Detective, this is Devin Taylor. I am a true crime story writer. Last month I was in Key West and talked to a couple of guys you helped out a while back. I would like to write my next book about the sex ring that they told me about. I was wondering if I could come to Miami and talk to you.”
I rolled my eyes; I hate these guys. I have never liked giving interviews to journalists. They always seem to embellish my words, so they can make the story more dramatic, just so they can sell more books.
I sighed, “Well, all the information on that case is public record. You can get all the facts from court transcripts. I’m not sure what more information I could add.”
He said, “I understand that, but I like to talk to as many people as possible that were actually involved in the case. I already have the trial transcript, and I have talked to Tyler Pearson extensively. I really would like the law enforcement side of the story. I think it gives the reader a more complete picture of the events.”
I lied, “I am pretty busy right now. I’m not sure when I would have time to talk to you.”
Devin said, “I am planning on coming to Miami next week. I have a lot more background research to do. I am more than willing to work around your schedule.”
I exhaled, “I can’t promise how much time I can give you but let me know when you are in town. I’ll see what I can do.”
He said, “Thank you detective. I promise, I won’t take too much of your time and again, I will work around your schedule.”
I sat back in my chair as I hung up the phone. Great, this is just what I need right now. Answering a bunch of questions from someone who probably has no idea what is involved in a missing person case. I sighed as I looked at the clock, I decided the rest of this paperwork could wait until tomorrow.
My mood improved as I got home and walked through the front door. I was greeted with kisses from both Lucas and Lucy, followed by a freshly made rum and Coke.
Lucas asked, “How was your day?”
I rolled my eyes, “Boring as hell, another full day of typing forms. How about your day?”
He smiled, “It was good, not nearly as exciting as yours though.”
He could always make me chuckle and make me feel better. I let Lucy out in the backyard as I returned to the kitchen to help Lucas finish getting dinner ready.
I said, “I did get a call from a guy in Oklahoma today. Some writer, he wants to write a book about the Slocum sex ring case.”
Lucas said, “That’s great. What is his name?”
I shrugged, “I think he said it was Devin Taylor, or Tanner, something like that.”
Lucas had his phone out and was searching for Devin.
He said, “Oh, wow, he’s very attractive. He has written several books; the last one was about a wife and her boyfriend killing her husband. Is he going to interview you?”
I sighed, “I guess. He said he was coming to Miami next week; I told him I would talk to him if I wasn’t too busy.”
Lucas was still scrolling on his phone, he continued reading.
He said, “He seems like a well-respected writer. Hey, if the book does well, maybe they will make it into a movie. Who do you think they will get to play you?”
I laughed, “Clint Eastwood.”
Lucas shook his head, “Maybe a young Eastwood, I was thinking Matt Bomer would be a good choice.”
I raised an eyebrow, “You have always had the hots for that guy, haven’t you?”
He grinned, “Maybe a little. Oh, and Adam Devine can play Ollie and of course Chris Hemsworth would be Blake.”
I laughed, “You also have the hots for those guys too. Who do you see playing you?”
He shrugged, “I’m just a minor character, they would probably just get some no name actor for me.”
I shook my head, “Oh no, if there is a movie about me, you will not be a minor character. You will be a co-star. Hmm, I think Ryan Reynolds would be a good choice.”
Lucas grinned, “Now who is casting the movie based on who he thinks is hot?”
I laughed, “Maybe we should see if this guy writes the book before we start casting the movie.”
Lucas was still smiling as he continued to read about Devin.
He paused, “Well this is interesting.”
I asked, “What’s that?”
“It says here that Devin just moved from Houston to McAlester Oklahoma to be closer to his father. And he just returned from his honeymoon in Key West.”
I nodded, “Yeah, he told me that he talked to Tyler and Malik there. That’s where he learned about this case.”
Lucas said, “The honeymoon was with his new husband, Mike Palmer.”
I thought a moment, “Ok, that is interesting. But it still doesn't change the fact that I am going to waste a bunch of time with guy who is going to over dramatize the story just to sell books.”
Lucas gave me a kiss, “Oh don’t be such a stick in the mud. You might like this guy and maybe he’ll do a good job telling the story.”
I rolled my eyes, “Yeah, yeah, we’ll see.”
Lucas spent the rest of the night teasing me about other actors he thought would be good for the movie version of the story.
I said, “I guess the only way I am going get you to shut you up about this, is to put my dick in your mouth.”
He jumped to his feet and grabbed my hand and said, “That’s the best idea that I have heard all night.”
Of course, our dick sucking led to a full love making session and us falling asleep in each other’s arms.
I arrived at work on Friday and once again, sighed as I started back in on the pile of paperwork that littered my desk. Blake and Ollie would stop in from time to time with some minor questions. We were all just trying to break the monotony of the task at hand. We all snuck out of the office a bit early. With no pressing case, we were all planning on a quiet weekend. Blake and Hannah had lined up a babysitter and were planning a date night. Ollie and Andy were spending the weekend with some friends from out of town. Lucas and I decided to spend our weekend at the beach, Lucy was going with us, she loved the water. By Sunday night, we were all completely relaxed and tired, we were all sleeping by 9:00.
I arrived at the station on Monday morning. Devin Taylor was there waiting for me.
I sighed as I shook his hand and led him to my office. I might as well get this over with as soon as possible. It was only slightly better than the paperwork that was waiting for me. As we sat down, I noticed that Lucas was right, he is a very good-looking man, and we were close to the same age.
He smiled at me, “Thank you Detective Ridgeway for taking time to meet with me. I promise not to take too much of your time.”
I nodded, “Please, call me Ridge. And if I have to leave for case, it’s nothing personal. It’s just that my job is more important than some book.”
Devin said, “I understand Ridge. I know you’re busy and I certainly don’t want to stand in your way of solving a case.”
Devin began asking some background questions, and it was clear that he was a good guy. He wasn’t like any of the other journalists and reporters that I had talked to in the past. As much as I wanted to, it was hard not to like him.
He had just asked me a few questions when Ollie knocked on my door.
Ollie said, “Sorry to disturb you Ridge, we have a missing college student. Blake is in interview room #2 with his parents right now.”
I said, “I’ll be right there.”
I turned to Devin; he was already putting his notebook in his bag.
I said, “Sorry Devin, I need to go.”
He smiled, “No problem, I will be in town all week. I have some other research to do, please give me a call when you have time to meet again.”
He handed me a card with his phone number on it.
I nodded, “Thank you, I will let you know.”
He shook my hand, “I’ll show myself out.”
Devin
I flew to Miami on Sunday night; I was going to spend the entire week there. Mike stayed home to work at his shop, but he was coming in on Friday so we could spend the weekend together and go to the beach. I was waiting for Detective Ridgeway when he arrived at the Police station on Monday morning. From what I had read about him from other reporters, I was expecting a harden detective, like those in every movie or tv show from the 50s and 60s. I was picturing a real Joe Friday type, you know, “just the facts, ma’am” kind of guy. I was pleasantly surprised when he walked in and introduced himself.
I got the impression that he wasn’t exactly thrilled to talk to me and was just humoring me by agreeing to see me. As we talked, he started to soften up a bit. Maybe he realized I was really trying to gather the most information that I could to give the most accurate version of the story. Just as we were starting to get into the sex ring case, we were interrupted by a good-looking young officer, telling him he had a new case. He was apologizing as I was packing my things away.
I said, “No problem, I told you I wouldn’t stand in your way of doing your job. I will be in town all week, please let me know when you are free.”
He gave me a look, “It might be easier to do this in the evening. Maybe you can come to my house one night? My husband, Lucas, is a great cook, you can come over for dinner”
I nodded, “That sounds great, I’ll show myself out.”
He headed in the opposite direction as I left the building. Ok, I didn’t expect that, first an invitation to his home, for dinner no less. Then, finding out he had a husband; this was getting more interesting by the minute.
Ridge
I followed Ollie to interview room 2, Blake stood and introduced me to Tom and Beth Willers. I couldn’t help but think that Tom looked familiar. Tom was giving me a similar look.
Blake said, “Mr. and Mrs. Willers just flew in from Augusta this morning, their son DJ is a freshman at U of M. He went out on Saturday night and has not returned home.”
Beth said, “Yes detective, Drake always calls on Sunday. When he didn’t call us, I called some of his friends and they haven’t seen him since Saturday.”
I said, “Wait, did you say Drake? I thought Blake said your son’s name was DJ.”
Tom said, “His full name is Drake Joseph, we have called him DJ since he was little.”
Beth said, “Tom calls him DJ, I call him Drake. We named him after a childhood friend of Tom’s. I liked the name, but Tom said it sounded like a duck, so we…”
My mind went back to Augusta and the time I spent with my grandmother and our next-door neighbors, the Willers. I said, “Tommy Willers!”
Tom’s eyes went wide, “Ridge! Drake Ridgeway!”
