Ridge
I was trying to understand what Anderson just told us. Did he say that his first wife left him for another woman?
I asked, “What do you mean by that Mr. Anderson? Did your first wife leave you for her girlfriend?”
He nodded as he exhaled, “She started to change even before I left my last church. I was starting to suspect she was cheating on me. When I asked if she was seeing another man, she looked me in the eye and said no. Then as soon as we started looking for another church, she started…”
I said, “You mean when you were forced to resign from being a pastor?”
He rolled his eyes, “I guess, but that was when she really changed. She changed her hair style, started wearing flashy clothes and hanging out with different people. A few weeks after we moved into our new apartment, I caught here in bed with that woman.”
I heard Ollie stifle a laugh. To be honest, I had to stop my own chuckle.
I said, “So because your wife is gay, you made it your mission to rid the world of all gay people?”
He sighed, “No one should have to be humiliated like I was.”
Ollie chuckled, “You were more humiliated because your wife is gay than you were for getting kicked out of your church for stealing?”
I was also amused by the irony of that situation. Mr. Anderson didn’t see the humor at all.
Anderson’s Lawyer said, “That has nothing to do with this case and the matter was handled five years ago.”
Bill Taylor said, “You are right, but it will be considered as we review SOS’s records.”
I said, “Your feelings toward your ex-wife are irrelevant Mr. Anderson. That still does not give you the right to pull others off the street and keep them locked up. Whether you agree with their lifestyle or not, the only people you are allowed to help are those that come to you of their own free will.”
Anderson stared at me as it appeared he was finally starting to understand why we arrested him.
I continued, “If you had only worked with people that were seeking your help instead of holding them hostage, we probably would have never come to your condo.”
He said, “But there weren’t enough of those people to sustain…”
He realized what he was saying just as his lawyer nudged him to stop talking.
Bill Taylor said, “I think we have enough Detective.” He turned to the lawyer and said, “I will call when I have the complete list of charges I will be filing. I should have that to you by the end of business today.”
Anderson and his lawyer both sat back in their chairs in defeat. Bill, Ollie and I all left the room, we nodded at the officer waiting outside the door as he went in to take Lyle Anderson back to his cell. Blake and Captain had been in the observation room watching, they joined us in the hall as we watched Anderson be lead away and his lawyer leave in the opposite direction.
Captain said, “Well, that certainly explains a lot.”
Bill nodded, “Yeah, I can’t say I was expecting that little tid bit of information. I’m going back to my office to get the list of charges against Anderson prepared. I also need to figure out what I am going to do with Joann Chandler.”
We said our goodbyes as Bill left, and we went back to Blake and Ollie’s desks. As Blake sat in his chair, he burst out laughing.
I asked, “What are you laughing at?”
He pointed to Ollie and said, “Our little pitbull over there.”
Captain was chuckling too, he said, “Yeah, what got into you, Ollie?”
Ollie shrugged.
I said, “You kind of caught me off guard and I wasn’t sure what to say or do.”
Ollie sighed, “Sorry about that Ridge, but that guy really pissed me off.”
I chuckled, “Really? I couldn’t tell.”
Blake said, “I know the guy is a jerk, but you really were worked up. Is there a story behind that?”
Ollie took another deep breath, “Yes.”
I said, “I thought you had a good relationship with your parents, did someone else try to get you to go to one of those conversion places.”
Ollie shook his head, “No, my parents are great.” He paused a moment and continued, “After I first introduced Andy to my family, he was quiet on our drive home. I asked if everything was okay and he smiled as a tear ran down his cheek. He told me everything was good, my family was great, but he was a bit sad that he could never introduce me to his family. He then told me that when he came out to his parents his dad went ballistic, and he told Andy that he had found one these conversation camps and he was dropping him off there the following day.”
I said, “I’m sorry Ollie, I had no idea. Did Andy have to spend any time there?”
Ollie chuckled, “No. Andy packed his bag that night like his dad told him to, but he was gone before his dad woke up in the morning. Thankfully Andy had a friend he could stay with that night. His friend’s parents lied to Andy’s dad and said they had no idea where he was. The next day they bought Andy a bus ticket to Miami and gave him some cash so he could get a hotel room for a few days. Andy also had saved some money from a job he was working back in Tampa Bay, where he’s from. He was able to find a retail job here in Miami and found a guy at that job who was looking for a roommate. Andy worked his way through college and hasn’t spoken to his family since.”
Blake asked, “How old was Andy?”
Ollie said, “He was 18. It was the summer between his high school graduation and when he was supposed to start college. Of course, his dad didn’t give him the money he had promised him for college, so Andy had to wait a year before he had enough saved up to start taking classes.”
It was suddenly clear why Ollie was so upset, and I can’t say that I blamed him. I do think that most of that anger was directed at Andy’s father and not directly at Lyle Anderson.
I said, “I understand why you were upset, but we have to maintain our composure when we have cases like this. Just remember, we can vent to each other afterward. There was no harm done today, but please be more careful in the future.”
Ollie gave me a smile, “Sorry Ridge, I will remember that, and I promise not to act like that again.”
Blake laughed again, “I would love to see it again. I’m sorry Ridge, but it was pretty awesome.”
I nodded, “Yeah, I know. I guess that was why I didn’t stop him sooner. Now let’s get back to work, we still need to find out who turned DJ and Wyatt in to the SOS Ministry. I’ll go call Mark and Kyle, maybe they have found something.”
I turned to go to my office as Mark and Kyle walked in. Mark smiled and said, “I guess that is my cue.”
I grinned, “Yep, what have you got for us?”
Mark said, “Well first of all, I just got off the phone with Bill Taylor. He had us looking at the financials of SOS. We gave our forensic accountants access to SOS’s records, and they learned that Anderson was keeping accurate records, but he wasn’t exactly being honest with his donors.”
I asked, “What does that mean?”
He said, “From what we found out, all of Anderson’s donors were told that SOS’s mission was to help homeless teenagers. Which is technically correct, I mean most of these guys were kicked out of their homes.”
Ollie asked, “Do they know what Anderson was really doing?”
Mark grinned, “They do now. They are all pretty pissed and from what I have been told, Anderson is facing many more legal battles now. Most donors are already talking to lawyers about suing SOS for fraud.”
I shrugged, “Well, he deserves everything he gets. Did you find out who filled out those forms online to have DJ and Wyatt picked up?”
He nodded, “We know who requested Wyatt’s pick up.”
I said, “Let me guess, his mother Gloria Tillman.”
Mark said, “Give the man a cigar, he’s right on the first try.”
I asked, “How about Matt Harper?”
Mark asked, “The one that they didn’t get a chance to pick up?”
I nodded, “Yes.”
He looked through his papers, “Yes, a Wilma Collins, the relationship was listed as Grandmother.”
Ollie sighed, “Let me guess, another bible thumping do-gooder?”
Mark smirked, “I’m not sure, but that does make sense.”
Blake asked, “What about DJ Willers?”
Kyle said, “Unlike Wyatt, the space for relationship was left blank on DJ’s form. We had to trace it back to an IP address, we don’t have the exact person, but we know the location of the person that filled out that form.”
I asked, “What’s the location.”
Kyle said, “Augusta Georgia.”
Mark added, "More specifically, Augusta University.”
Ollie said, “DJ’s from Augusta, right?”
I nodded, “Yes, I think we need to find out who he knows at the University.”
Before I could call DJ, I heard him in the reception area. He was with Noah, Tom and Beth. They were talking to Max and Sam. They were all laughing and talking like old friends, evidently they had bonded at some point.
Tom saw me walk in, “Good morning Ridge, we ran into Max and Sam at breakfast this morning and gave them a ride. DJ and Noah were telling us how helpful they have been this past week.”
I smiled, “Good to hear, my gut was right that they didn’t have anything to do with the abduction.”
DJ asked, “Have there been any new developments, Ridge?”
I nodded, “As a matter of fact, there is. Do you know anyone that attends Augusta University?”
DJ said, “Sure, I have a few high school classmates that go there. Why?”
I said, “The reason you were abducted is because someone requested that you be picked up by SOS for conversion therapy.”
Beth said, “You mean someone turned DJ in to SOS?”
Blake said, “Yes, and when the guys picking up DJ saw him with Noah, they just grabbed them both.”
DJ looked at Noah, he said, “I am so sorry.”
Noah shook his head, “It wasn’t your fault, you didn’t know it was going to happen.”
I said, “The person that filled out that form to pick you up, filled it out on the Augusta University campus. Do know if any of your classmates would do that to you?”
DJ looked puzzled and said, “No, not really. My best friend went to Georgia Tech, and my other friends went to other schools. I don’t think any of them would ever do that to me anyway. I really wasn’t good friends with any of the kids the stayed in Augusta, so they couldn’t care less if I was gay.” He laughed, “The only one that didn’t like the fact that I am gay is… No, she wouldn’t do this. Would she?”
I said, “We have to look at everyone DJ. Who is she?”
Beth said, “Oh my God DJ, are you thinking Anna would do this?”
Tom chuckled, “You told us she was pretty upset when you told her you are gay.”
I asked, “Anna who?”
DJ sighed, “Anna Watkins.”
A phone call and an hour later, the Augusta police had Anna at their station, and we set up a video call.
Detective Chad Houston appeared on our screen; there was a young woman with a worried look on her face sitting across the table. There was also another woman and man sitting beside her, they also did not look happy.
Chad said, “Detective Ridgeway, this is Anna Watkins and her parents, Joe and Melany.”
I said, “Thank you Detective Houston, this is Detectives Robbins and Hemple.” I pointed to Blake and Ollie as I said their names.
Joe Watkins asked, “What is all of this about Detective Ridgeway?”
I said, “We have a few questions for Anna. Would you like to have a lawyer present while we ask our questions?”
He shook his head, “I am a lawyer, Detective.”
I nodded, “Very well Mr. Watkins. Last Monday, we received a report that DJ Willers was missing. We found DJ yesterday…”
Before I could finish my sentence, Melany Watkins turned to Anna, “What did you do?”
The tears started to flow as Anna looked away from her mother.
Joe said, “Do you think that my daughter had something to do with DJ’s disappearance?”
I said, “Yes, we do.” For the next ten minutes, I told him all that we had discovered over the last week and that the person who made the arrangements for DJ to be picked up did so from the Augusta University campus.
Joe looked at Anna who was now crying even harder, still not looking at her parents.
He said, “Anna, did you do this?”
She sobbed, “I just wanted to help DJ understand that I love him.”
Joe sighed, “For crying out loud Anna, DJ told you he was gay and was not interested in you in a romantic way. Why the hell would you think this is good idea?”
She said, “I was just trying to help.”
Melany said, “We told you to move on, DJ would never want to be your boyfriend. This is exactly why we wouldn’t let you go to college in Miami and made you stay here for college.”
Anna, still sobbing, “But mom, I love him. I have always loved him. We are meant to be together.”
Joe rolled his eyes, “For God’s sake Anna, you know that will never happen. DJ made it very clear before he left for Miami that he would never be more than a friend to you. We told you to let it go.”
He turned to back to the screen, “Detective Ridgeway, is DJ alright?”
I nodded, “Yes, he is fine. But Anna needs to understand that he and his boyfriend were pulled off the street after a date and were held locked in a room for five days. She is at the very least an accomplice in their kidnapping.”
Anna let out an even louder sob when I mentioned DJ had a boyfriend.
Joe Watkins ran his hand across his face and let out a long sigh, “I don’t know what to say Detective. What happens now?”
I asked, “Is Anna admitting that she is the one who requested DJ be picked up by SOS Ministries?”
He nodded, “Yes, she is. She will cooperate fully.”
Anna said, “But dad…”
He said, "Anna, we told you to leave DJ alone, you didn’t listen and now you need to face the consequences.”
I decided to see what Anna had to say for herself. I asked, “Anna, what can you tell us about your conversations with SOS Ministries?”
For the next 15 minutes, she explained how she found SOS when she did a search for conversion therapy. She said that she emailed them asking for details and they assured her that DJ would not be harmed. They told her that they would simply find DJ and talk to him to try to convince him that he was not gay. She had no idea that they would pull him off the street like they did nor did she know that they would keep him locked up.
I could see that she was just a confused girl that was infatuated with a boy that she could never have. Her father assured us that he would forward all emails that they had between Anna and SOS. I told him that we would take those into consideration when deciding how we would proceed. Her father also told us that Anna would not contact DJ again or continue to pursue him.
I told them I would give all this information to Bill Taylor, and he would be in touch with what charges, if any, he would be filling.
Now that I knew who was responsible for requesting DJ’s pick up, I wanted to talk to Gloria Tillman and Wilma Collins.
I knew Gloria was on a mission trip with her church, so I called her Pastor. Once I explained what had happened, he told me he would call and have her return home.
He sighed, “I should have known she would pull something like this. A few years ago, when we began allowing same sex marriages in our church, she made it very clear that she was opposed. I had no idea her own son was gay.”
I said, “Yeah, I’m sure she didn’t advertise that. Wyatt has had very little contact with her since he told her.”
The Pastor said, “People like her and Anderson give the church, as a whole, a bad name. Detective, our church is accepting of all types of people, we believe that God made us all and we will all be welcomed into his kingdom when our time comes.”
I said, “That is good to hear, Pastor.”
He said, “I will let you know as soon as she is headed back to Miami, I’m sure you have some questions for her.”
“Thank you, yes we do. I appreciate your help.”
My next call was to Matt Harper and his parents. They were upset but not surprised that his grandmother would pull such a stunt. Since Matt was not actually picked up, and no money had yet exchanged hands, there wasn’t anything we could do to Wilma Collins. Matt’s mother assured us that this was the last straw, and she would be cutting her mother completely out of her family’s lives. I told her how to get a restraining order and recommended that she do so in case she ever tried anything like this again.
I looked at my phone, it was almost 5 o’clock. We mostly had things wrapped up and we were waiting for Bill Taylor to give us the final word on what to do with Lyle and Joann Anderson. He had already agreed that Sam and Max were not involved in the abductions.
I checked in with that captain and told him we were leaving for the day. He wished us a good weekend and told us that a couple of days in a holding cell would be good for Anderson.
I told Blake and Ollie to call Hannah and Andy to meet us at the Pink Parrot. I called Lucas and he told me that he was on the way. I called Devin next.
My call went to voicemail; I simply told him to meet us at the Pick Parrot whenever he was free.
Devin
It was finally Friday and Mike was coming into town today. I have missed him so much. I was up early; the anticipation of Mike’s arrival didn’t let me sleep past 7 am.
After I got dressed, I went downstairs to get a cup of coffee, a muffin and a banana from the continental breakfast the hotel provided. I returned to my room to eat and turned the TV on to catch the news. They were broadcasting the story of the arrest of Lyle Anderson. I watched as they told that he was running a gay conversion facility. They said that four young people were being held against their will at the SOS condo. I knew Ridge couldn’t give me many details; I only knew that he was looking for two young men. The news didn’t give any names of the victims or too many other details of the case. They said they would have more details as the police released more information. Maybe Ridge will fill in more of the blanks tonight when we meet for drinks.
I opened my laptop and worked on my notes for a while, trying to keep busy until it was time to go get Mike. I was happy with all my interviews from the week and knew I would have a good start for my book. I went back downstairs for another cup of coffee and then back to my room to call my publisher. I told him about my week of interviews and that I was considering turning Ridge’s cases into a series of books. He liked the idea and said he would talk to me more about it after I submitted my first draft of this story.
After our call, I sat back in my chair and had another thought. After watching Ridge and Lucas interacting all week, maybe there is an erotic book for Taylor Allen* to write about a gruff detective and his hot husband. I smiled to myself as I started to jot down a quick outline and before I knew it, it was a little after noon. I put my notes away and left to get a sandwich and then headed to the airport to pick Mike up. I knew I was going to be early, flights rarely land ahead of schedule, but it didn’t make any difference if I waited at the hotel or at the airport.
I found a place to continue making notes for the Ridge and Lucas erotic story. I of course changed their names and city. I was having a lot of fun imaging the hot sex between those two, I even felt my own cock twitch a bit. A little before 2:00, I packed my things away and walked to baggage claim area that Mike’s luggage would be coming to.
Right on time, the screen above carousel showed his flight had landed. I waited near the hall and soon passengers started to filter in. I smiled as I saw Mike step around the corner. He grinned when he saw me and soon wrapped me in a big bear hug.
He sighed, “I am so happy to see you.”
I gave him a kiss, “I’m happy to see you too. How was your flight?”
He shook his head, “Don’t ever let me fly alone again.”
This was the first time Mike had flown alone. The only other time he had ever flown was with me when we went to Key West for our honeymoon.
I laughed as he continued, “Thankfully I had a nice flight attendant that saw how nervous I was. She slipped me a beer before we even took off. Then the sweet lady sitting next to me let me hold her hand the entire flight. She only had to ask me to loosen my grip twice.”
I was still laughing, “You can squeeze my hand as hard as you want on the flight home.”
We grabbed his bag, and I led him to my rental car. I asked, “Do you want to go to the hotel to drop your bag off before we meet Ridge and Lucas for drinks? They probably won’t be there until after 5.”
He grinned, “Of course I do. After that flight, I am totally pitted out; I think I need a shower before I meet your new friends.”
We hurried to the room and were stripping before we had the door closed. As soon as we were both naked, we shared a proper kiss. Our cocks were already hard before we even had our underwear off. Our erect poles were both leaking gallons of precum as they rubbed together.
I broke our kiss and looked into the sexy eyes that I fell in love with back in high school. I wrapped my hand around that gorgeous dick and pulled Mike to the bathroom. I turned the shower on, and we stepped under the water and resumed making out. Mike’s hand was also stroking my hard cock now.
He pulled back and sighed, “God, I missed you.”
Before I could respond, he dropped to his knees and wrapped his lips around my manhood. I grabbed the back of his head as I leaned back against the shower wall. Damn, the man knew how to suck a cock. After a few minutes, I had to pull him up, he had me so close to cuming. I gave him another kiss and then went to my knees to return the favor.
It didn’t take long for Mike to pull me back up to my feet for another kiss. He suggested we finish our shower and take our fun to the bed, I didn’t argue.
We were soon on the bed sucking each other with all our might. At the same time, we both inched a finger toward each other’s pucker. Mike reached mine first, causing me to spread my legs to allow him all the access he wanted. Once I reached his, his legs did the same. I couldn’t take it any longer. I rolled onto my back and pulled my legs into the air.
Mike grinned as he read my mind. He leaned down, gave my cum-filled nuts a loving lick and then proceeded down to my winking hole. My eyes rolled back in my head as Mike's tongue started to dart in and out of my neglected ass. I know it has only been a week, but that is the longest Mike, and I have been apart since we’ve been married. I did love it when he ate my hole, but I really wanted something more.
I panted, “Will you please fuck me?”
I saw that sexy grin again as he moved up for another kiss and he guided his weapon into its holster. Like always, it fit perfectly. Mike continued to kiss me as he began to piston in and out of my appreciative hole, I was definitely in my happy place, I think Mike was too.
Mike groaned, “Oh God, I’m going to cum.”
I panted, “Give it to me stud.”
That was all it took; Mike was whitewashing my insides with his creamy seed. Once his spasms stopped, he grinned at me, and we shared another passionate kiss.
As his deflating manhood slipped from my cum-filled hole he said, “We’re not done yet, don’t move.”
He moved back a bit and pushed my legs down, causing my cock to point to the ceiling. Mike maneuvered himself over my erection and began to squat down. My smile got bigger as my cock disappeared inside its favorite place. Mike’s cock started to come back to life as he bounced up and down on my lap. I kept my hands on his hips as he rode me like PBR bull, his now hard cock flopping up and down.
The look of pure ecstasy on his face was almost just too cute. A few more strokes and I felt my babymakers begging for release. I pulled Mike down so I was buried as deep as I could be. Mike gasped and just as I released my load inside him, another much smaller load squirt out of his untouched dick and dribbled across my stomach.
Mike collapsed forward and our lips met again. He broke our kiss and moved to lick the cum that he had just deposited on me. He quickly came up so we could share the nectar with another kiss. God, he tasted so good.
He pulled back slightly as we stared into each other’s eyes.
I chuckled, “I sincerely loved that package you sent me this week, but this was 1000 times better.”
He laughed, “I’m glad because I never want be apart for this long again.”
We shared another kiss and took another quick shower. Once we were dressed, I asked, “So, are ready to meet Ridge and Lucas?”
He smiled, “Yep, I think my nerves are sufficiently calmed now.”
