Edward James Review

Porn producer Edward James started filming in 1994 and he's still active, and most recently he has filmed scenes for Johnny Rapid, Naked Sword, and Next Door Studios. But over the years, he's filmed for such big names as All Worlds Video, Bacchus Releasing, and Pacific Sun Entertainment. His eponymous site features good-looking, athletic Black guys (some with impressively big cocks) in mostly ass-pounding raw sex, but there are some condom scenes, too. Most recently the site moved away from the Carnal Plus network and launched back out on its own, and while there's been quite an increase in the video count, it still falls short of the inventory that was here a couple of years ago. We just reviewed the site 13 months ago in March 2025, but there's been a complete redesign and some new additions, so let's head over and see what's happening.

The performers on EdwardJames are Black studs in their twenties and thirties and they are a mix of unknowns and regular porn performers. Many of the guys have single names like Staxx, Addicktion, and Per Fection (although I guess that one is two words), but you'll find other well-known studs like Thugzilla, King Assassin, Marcus Cooper, and Hot Rod, to name a few. The men are a range of skin tones from light caramel and brown to dark chocolate and coffee, and as you'd expect, many are very well hung. Some are a little muscular than others, but most are sporting slim to athletic builds. Hair styles range from close cropped  to short or long twists, and a few have long dreadlocks and they're a mix of tattooed or not.

Most of the action is Black-on-Black duos, but there are 11 threeways and small groups featuring Black men, as well as five interracial threesomes with two Black studs sharing a White guy's holes. And these interracial threeways follow a couple of Black dudes on the prowl for someone to fuck, and when they find one, they throw him in their car and take him somewhere for some deep spit-roasting. The rest of the videos don't follow a particular theme or story line and they generally get into the action fairly quickly. A couple of movers get horny on the job and fuck in the back of the moving van; a gym routine turns hot when one guy pulls out his big dick for his workout partner to suck; three friends are enjoying a motorboat ride on a lake until they drop anchor and their pants. Most of the action (52 of the 77 videos) is bareback, but there are some condom sessions 

Edward James offers 77 exclusive videos in MP4 format and they run from 17 to 30 minutes, although I saw one that was just over an hour. The videos are offered in five resolutions from 350p (low SD) to 1080p (Full HD) that stream in an adaptive player. A few of the episodes have a 4K / Ultra HD and Quad HD version, but these aren't the real deal, they are enlarged from the Full HD version, as such there are some quality issues like blurriness and interlacing. I also found some of the videos could have been lit better. Still, they're enjoyable ranging from average to good quality.  The site auto detects the best version for your set-up, but you're able to choose your own, as well. The site and videos worked well on my Android phone. You can pay for individual downloads, although I only found the for-sale links on the tour, you can't purchase videos inside the member's area.

Each episode comes with a picture set. These are good quality digital stills sized large at 2000x3000. The picture viewer has forward and back controls, and there's a hands-free slideshow feature, as well. You can save the pictures individually, but downloadable zip files aren't available. Each set has from 150 to over 200 pictures, although they could pare them down as there's a lot of similar poses. 

When we last visited the site 13 months ago, we mentioned there had been 88 videos before the site moved to a new management company and then offered only 20 videos. Now there are 77 videos which initially sounded like fantastic growth, but it still falls short of the 88 videos the site had previously. There's an update every Thursday, but these are recycled scenes that had previously been on the site – there is no "fresh new content" here yet. We'll have to check back in a few months and see if they're adding any actual new content., but that being said, these are recycled scenes 

There are now some bonuses that weren't included the last time. You'll get access to eight videos from Johnny Rapid's site. Previously there had been 29 trailers, but you needed to purchase a membership for full access. Now at least you're getting eight videos before you need to upgrade. You will also get a preview of Men Films, another site produced by Edwards James, and it features Caucasian men in suck and fuck action. Men Films currently only offers trailers and a full membership is needed to watch full-length movies. 

When it comes to downsides, there's nothing unusual. There's a pre-checked offer on the far right side of the billing page, but it's easy to uncheck if you're not interested. I was disappointed that downloads aren't included in your membership and can only be purchased off the tour, but this isn't anything new. And as I've mentioned already, while there are 2180p (4K / Ultra HD) and 1440p (Quad HD) versions on some of the episodes, these were not filmed in these resolutions originally, they're enlarged from a 1080p (Full HD) version.

Edwards James gets a mixed review from me. While these horny Black guys sucking and fucking are hot, this site has moved around a couple of times trying to find a permanent home. It's moved from solo site to part of a network then back to solo site, all the while not increasing the amount of content it offers members. It remains to be seen as to whether this new incarnation will actually produce anything new. Still, the performers are fit with slim to athletic and muscular bodies, and some are gorgeous with huge cocks. There's mostly bareback action, but there's a small collection of condom sex; most of it is Black-on-Black in duos or threeways, but there are five interracial sessions, too. I did like the series of videos where a couple of Black dudes snatch a White boy off the street and take him home to use his holes – those are a lot of fun. Video counts have nearly returned to where they were a couple of years ago, but these are still recycled.. Still, if you enjoy watching horny Black guys in their twenties sucking and fucking, I think you'll love what this site has on offer.
