At last we return to Geshichte Falls, and it is not without irony that I note how much of this book taks place in a winter almost twenty five years ago, and that now that a true winter is upon us, this book begins with Russell and our friends in springtime, looking forward to a future, which is now our past.
Karen's dinner at the Westin-Hall house sparks the gamut of emotions in our little family. The pressure is on but Seth knows how to help Zach relax. Meanwhile, the investigation into Frankie's past is in full swing.

After a night out, Alex wakes up to his friend Cody, teasing him about Luca’s possible ties to crime. Meanwhile, Luca’s morning takes a dangerous turn during a drug pickup as he's ambushed by rival gunfire, barely escaping with his life. Later, while on a date they get closer - though Alex can't seem to shake Cody's warnings.
Richard Finch MP continues his adventures. He arranges an elaborate supernatural hoax for his enemy, Mrs Gwen Twaddle MP, and enjoys sex with a handsome young landowner.
Jamie’s had word that what’s happened to him isn’t all it seems. He isn’t a generic victim. This is revenge apparently. Jamie needs answers but no one can give them.
