Chapter 6

Jace

I got into Green Lake a little before noon, I had been close to ten years and the town had not changed one bit. I walked up Main St. and saw all the same businesses were still there. The grocery store, hardware store, post office, both bars, auto repair shop, and the diner that everyone who worked in all those stores eats their lunch. I decided to get some lunch before I walked to my aunt’s house, I walked into the diner and took a seat at the counter.

Cindy Thompson, a girl that I had went to high school with, walked toward me. She smiled, “well I’ll be damned, Jace Parker, what are you doing here?”

I smiled at her, “Hey Cindy, how have you been?”

She handed me a menu, “I’m good, the last I heard you were in the pokey.”

Cindy never was one for beating around the bush, I chuckled, “yeah, I was, just got out. Things around here haven’t seemed to change much in the last ten years.”

She laughed, “not one bit, you plan on staying in town for a while?”

I shrugged, “I’m not sure yet, I need to get back on my feet. I just thought this might be as good a place as any to do that. Do you know if there is anybody looking to hire a guy that needs a job?”

She smiled, “not really, you can always check down at Farley’s Hardware and Lumber, the old man has retired, and Todd has taken over, he may need some help. Maybe one of the bars needs a part-time bartender.”

I nodded to her, “thanks, once I stop and see Aunt Sara, I stop and see Todd.”

She asked, “can I get you something to eat?”

I looked over the menu, “I’ll have a BLT, fries and a Coke.”

She smiled, “sure thing honey, have that for you in a few minutes.” She walked to the kitchen tearing the check from her pad.

I looked around the diner, I recognized many of the faces, they all seemed to be watching me pretty close. I am sure by the end of the day everyone in town would know Jace Parker was back in town after his stint in jail. I turned back to the counter as Cindy set my drink in front of me, I thanked her as I took my first sip. A few minutes later she brought my food, I ate and paid my bill, picked up the backpack that contained everything that I currently owned and started to walk to my aunt’s house.

I walked the two blocks down Maple St and knocked on the door. Aunt Sara answered.

She looked surprised, “Jace, you actually came?”

I smiled, “sure, I said I would.”

She said, “I didn’t think you would, I guess I just thought…”

Before she could finish a man walked around the corner and asked, “who’s at the door Sara?”

She turned to him, “it’s my nephew Jace, I told you he wanted to come by.” She turned to me, “Jace, this is my husband, Rob.”

Rob stepped closer and looked at me, “I told you I don’t want no ex-con staying in my house, tell him to keep walking.” He turned to walk back into the house.

Sara said, “sorry Jace, Rob just doesn’t think it would be a good Idea to let you stay here. We really don’t have the room anyway.”

I shook my head, “you could have told me that when I called, I guess you can’t count on family.”

She gave me a dirty look, “well, you are the one who got in trouble, you were raised better than that.”

I laughed, “I was raised better than that? Hell, I wasn’t raised at all, your alcoholic sister and her husband never had time for me, and your mother just barely tolerated me in her home. By the way, is this hubby number 4 or 5, I have lost count.”

She scoffed at me, “it’s number 6, and you can just find someplace else to stay.”

I turned to walk away, “be sure to invite me to wedding #7.”

She slammed the door as she went back inside, I headed back to Main St. thinking about what I should do now. I figured I would need a job before I could find a place to live so, I stopped at Farley’s and asked for Todd, he was a year older than I was and had just taken over the store from his father.

Todd came out of his office, “Jace, how are you? What brings you back to town.”

I held out my hand and we shook, I said, “well, I’m sure you already know that I was in jail the last couple years, I just need to get my life together, so I came here to sort things out.”

He smiled, “Really? You come here to sort things out?”

I nodded, “yeah, I was wondering if you were looking to hire any help?”

He said, “well, I don’t need anyone right now, sorry.”

“No problem, it never hurts to ask.” I told him.

He ran his hand through his hair, “if I hear of anything, I will sure let you know.”

I smiled, “thanks Todd, I appreciate that.” I turned to leave.

He called out, “hey Jace, what kind of work are you looking for anyway?”

I shrugged, “not really sure, right now I would take about anything.”

He asked, “what have you been doing, er, I mean before…”

I chuckled, “while I was in prison, it’s ok, you can say it, I worked in the workshop building furniture. We even built a house every year.”

He said, “well, I do get people coming in to get things to work on their house and they will sometimes ask if there is anyone to do some handyman type jobs. Is that something you might be interested in?”

I smiled, “sure, anything like that would be great.” I gave him my number.

Todd wrote it down and said, “I don’t know how much work there will be, but I will at least give out your number.”

I shook his hand again, “thanks Todd, I really appreciate that.”

I headed out of the store and back down Main St. I thought about the handyman thing and decided that could turn out to be a good way to make a living. It may take some time to get things going, but at least it was a start. I still needed to find a place to stay until I could afford a place of my own. As I walked past the Real Estate office, I decided to check if there were any places for rent in town. Pat, the lady that ran the office, told me that she didn’t have anything available but would put me on a list that she had for renters. I spent the rest of the afternoon stopping in all the rest of the businesses inquiring about any jobs they had open, with no success.

I walked by the town park, there was a covered picnic area and bathrooms with showers. They had several RV spots for campers when they would come to town. I decided I could sleep there tonight, it was July and warm, the forecast wasn’t calling for rain, so I figured it would be fine.

It was a little after 6 in the evening, so I decided to go back downtown and have a bite to eat and a beer, plus it would give me a chance to ask if the bar needed a bartender. I found a stool at the bar and ordered a beer and some food. After I was told once again that the bar didn’t need any help, the waitress brought my food. As I was finishing up my dinner, the front door opened and I saw another high school classmate walk in, he saw me and walked to the stool next to me and sat down.

I smiled, “Bobby Chase, how are you?”

He smiled back at me, “I’m good Jace, how about you?”

I replied, “I’m good too.”

He ordered a beer, “Cindy told me you were back in town.”

I chuckled, “I knew the whole town would know by sundown.”

He took a drink, “yep, things never change, do they?”

I smiled, “nope, so what are you doing these days?”

“I’m a mechanic down at the auto shop, I heard you had some bad luck.” He said.

I replied, “you could say that I was hanging around the wrong guys, now I’m just trying to get things back on track.”

He asked, “so what are planning to do?”

I told him about my talk with Todd and I was still looking to find something with a steady paycheck in the meantime.

He ordered us another beer, “where are you staying?”

I sighed, “I don’t know yet, Aunt Sara was no help, her new hubby seems like an ass, so I guess I’ll camp in the park tonight.”

He chuckled, “yeah, that seems about right, I can’t remember how many is this that now?”

I laughed, “she said 6, I couldn’t remember either.”

He sat quietly for a few minutes, “well, if you aren’t too picky, you could crash on my couch for a few nights. My place isn’t too fancy, but at least you would have a roof over your head.”

I paused, “are you sure, I mean, I don’t want to be a bother.”

Bobby shook his head, “no problem at all, like I said it’s not fancy, besides I would like the company.”

I smiled, “I really appreciate that, as soon as I get on my feet, I’ll pay you back.”

He elbowed me, “it’s no problem, I’ll grab a six pack and we can catch up while you get settled in.”

We walked out to his truck, and he drove us to his small one-bedroom house. He pulled two bottles out of the carton, putting the rest in the fridge, he handed one to me as we sat on the couch. Bobby filled me in on all the rest of our classmates, who still lived in town, who married who and who left and has never been back.

He said, “and of course you know, so far we have only lost one member of our class.”

I asked, “who was that?”

He said, "Tanner, you knew he went missing while we were still in school.”

I nodded, “oh yeah, I almost forgot about that.”

Bobby took another drink of his beer, “yeah, so had most of us, but then all those reporters showed back up a few weeks back, for the ten-year anniversary. It just got the whole town riled up again.”

I thought a moment, “wow, it has been ten years already, hasn’t it?”

He nodded, “yep, we’re getting old buddy.”

We pondered that a while, Bobby sheepishly asked, “so what was prison like? I mean you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”

I smiled, “no its ok, I don’t mind. It actually wasn’t that bad, the place I was at wasn’t for the really bad guys. Most of us were first time offenders and didn’t commit violent crimes. We all had to work while we were there and we didn’t have “cells”, they were more like rooms. As long as we followed the rules, we were treated pretty good. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t want to go back, and I wish I wouldn’t have had to go in the first place.”

Bobby listened and then took the last drink of his beer, “well I guess it’s about time to go to bed.”

He grabbed a pillow and blanket from the closet and set them on the couch.

I stood and said, “thanks again, I really do appreciate this.” I gave him hug, he hugged me back.

He stepped back then looked at me, before either of us could say a word, we both leaned in and started to kiss. He stepped back, “you could share my bed, if you don’t want to sleep on the couch.”

I followed him to his bedroom, a few minutes later we were both naked and making out, our hard cocks rubbing against each other. Bobby was about 4 inches taller than I was, wavy brown hair and eyes, he had a slim build, actually he was very skinny. We made our way to the bed and started to suck each other’s dicks, he had a long skinny cock, matching the rest of his lean body. Once we had each other good and hard, Bobby turned me onto my stomach and started to rub his dick along my ass crack. He leaned down kissing my neck and whispered, “can I fuck you?”

I nodded, “yes, please. I want you to fuck me so bad.”

He pulled a bottle of lube from his nightstand and worked one finger, then two into my tight hole. I moaned as he loosened me up until I was ready to take his cock. I felt the pressure of his dick at my hole, Bobby lay on top of me and slowly pushed in, pausing to let me adjust to the invasion. Once the pain turned to pleasure, I pushed back, Bobby took the hint and pumped with all his might. My moans matched his strokes and our breathing increased until I felt him push as deep as he could and his whole body stiffened. He let out a loud grunt and he filled my ass with his hot seed, collapsing, spent on top of me, his softening dick still in my ass.

He kissed the back of neck one more time as he rolled off me. I turned onto my back, and we started to kiss again as I stroked my cock. Bobby broke our kiss, pulled my hand away and took my dick into his mouth. He stroked me as he moved to lick and suck my nuts, it didn’t take long before I was exploding all over his hand and face. Once the spasms stopped, I looked down between my legs and began to chuckle.

Bobby looked up at me with his stunned face covered with ropes of my cum, he said, “Jesus Christ, how long have you been saving that load up?”

I laughed, “it’s only been a couple weeks, but before that it was about three years.”

He licked his lips, “I thought guys fucked each other in prison all the time.”

I said, “some might, but I didn’t.”

I moved up as he wiped his hand across his face and fed me my own cum, he kissed me, and I licked some cum from his face so we could share.

We cleaned up and went to sleep in each other’s arms.
