Dana looked at him for a second, sending a bit of concern through Tommy’s mind. “Two teenage boys, unchaperoned and in a college town?” She paused. The scowl on her face was making Tommy even more uncomfortable.

“Hello” one guy about their age called out from behind the counter as the door jingled closed. 

Dan was too busy looking around to respond but Tommy threw his hand up and waved to the pink haired boy behind the counter. “What can I get you two?” the pink haired boy asked as they neared his work station. 

“Give us a minute?” Dan asked politely as he looked over the wall mounted menu board.

Tommy let him know that they weren’t from Ann Arbor and they were here so Dan could check out his new school. 

“You’re going to U of M this year? Rowan ask looking at Dan. That’s awesome. You two should come tonight.”
