Chapter 7

Rich was waiting for us as Ollie and I walked up the hall, he said, “I haven’t talked to him yet, he doesn’t know why he’s here, I figured you guys could tell him that. It will be fun to watch the little prick squirm when he finds out that it won’t be the usual round of questions about drugs.”

Freddie was standing against the opposite wall when Ollie and I walked in the room and sat at the table across from him, Rich followed behind us and closed the door, he leaned against the wall behind us. Freddie stood about 5’6”, 140 pounds, had long light brown hair braided into corn rows and tattoos covering both his arms and part of his face. He obviously was a customer at his own shop, and he certainly wasn’t what I was expecting, I had pictured an imposing man at least 6” taller and 50 pounds heavier. I chuckled to myself whenever I saw a skinny white boy trying to be a gangster.

He smirked, “what’s the matter Holden, have to bring in the big guns since you can’t get me on any of your made-up bullshit?”

Rich said, “shut up and sit down Freddie.”

Freddie rolled his eyes as he sat down and stared at me, then at Ollie, he turned back to me, “what is this, bring your little boy to work day?”

I said, “don’t piss him off Freddie, if it came to fight between you and him, my money would be on him all day.” I saw Ollie sit up in his chair a little taller and puff out his chest.

Freddie laughed, “I’d have him lying on the ground crying before he even knew what happened.”

Ollie leaned forward, “are you sure about that Freddie, I don’t see any of your thugs here. From what I hear, you haven’t fought your own fights for years.”

Freddie’s eyes narrowed and he started to stand, Rich barked, “sit your ass back down.”

Freddie glared at Rich, then back at Ollie.

I said, “now that we have the pleasantries out of the way, we are investigating a missing person case.”

Feddie interrupted, “missing person, I ain’t no kidnapper.”

Rich said, “shut up and wait until he asks you a question before you open your yap.”

I sat a picture of Malik on the table and asked, “When was the last time you saw the man in this picture?"

He barely glanced at the picture and sat back in his chair and folded his arms, “I ain’t never see that guy before.”

I held the picture up, “you didn’t even look at the picture, take a good look and try again.”

He sighed, “like I said, I don’t know who this guy is.”

I said, “ok, let me refresh your memory, his name is Malik Reyes, you might know him as Rey Rey. He used to deliver drugs for you, that was up until about a year ago.

Freddie snorted, “you are misinformed, I run a tattoo parlor, I don’t sell drugs. Isn’t that right Holden? Have you ever caught me selling drugs?”

Ollie said, “we’ve already established that you can’t be bothered to get your hands dirty, you have your thugs do that.”

Freddie glared at Ollie, “listen Jr., I have four tattoo parlors around Miami, I have much more important things to do than peddle drugs to all the rich kids around town. If this guy is missing, maybe he screwed one of his customers over and they are the ones who snatched him.”

I said, “that’s the thing Freddie, Malik has been out of the business for a year, he hasn’t lived in Miami since then either. He just came back for a short visit and now he is missing.”

He shrugged, “you still haven’t told me what any of this has to do with me. I told you I don’t know this kid.”

I looked Freddie in the eyes, “ok Freddie, I’ll tell you what it has to do with you. Before Malik left town, he took $5000 that he was supposed to give you. He used that money to skip town and start a new life.”

I could see that Freddie was now seriously thinking about what he had just heard.

Ollie said, “look at that Ridge, I think the wheels are starting to turn.”

I nodded, “yep, funny how that happens whenever money is mentioned.”

Freddie shook his head, “I have told you that I had nothing to do with the disappearance of this guy.”

Ollie asked, “so are you trying to tell us that you will just let someone who stole $5000 from you walk away, without any repercussions?”

Freddie said, “look Jr, I am an entrepreneur, I have many business ventures going at all times, sometimes you need to take a small loss to offset your tax liabilities. My accountant handles all of those things for me. Besides, I blow 5 grand in one night at a club, I ain’t got time to waste chasing some kid. Now, if we are done here, I need to get back to my tattoo parlor.”

I nodded, “yeah, you can go, but keep yourself available in case I have some more questions.”

Rich opened the door and let Freddie out, then closed the door and turned back to us, “what did you make of all that?”

I shrugged, “I don’t know yet, he knows who Malik is and he knows that he took that money.”

Ollie said, “and he may not know where Malik is, but he sure could have sent his guys to grab him.”

I nodded, “that could certainly be a possibility.” I turned to Rich, “do you know who Freddies top assistants are?”

Rich grinned, “of course, Mikey and Dinky. Mikey drives Freddie around and Dinky is Freddies personal assistant and always rides along.”

Ollie chuckled, “can we assume Dinky is an ironic nick name?”

Rich laughed, “yes you can, he is the smallest 6’5”, 300-pound guy I know. I’ll see if I can convince them to come in for a little chat.”

We stood to leave, I said, “thanks Rich, let me know when you find them.”

Ollie and I spent the next few hours looking at the surveillance footage from The Wave’s security cameras. We confirmed that Casey and Timmy were indeed at the club from 10 pm to 2 am, just as they told us.

Rich called and told me he had Mikey and Dinky waiting for us in two of our interrogation rooms. We decided to talk to Mikey first.

Mikey was a black man about 6’, he wasn’t over muscular, but he wasn’t a skinny runt either. He was sitting at the table with arms crossed as we sat across from him.

I introduced myself and Ollie and asked, “so Mikey, we understand you work for Freddie, can you tell me what your job is?”

He looked at Rich, then back to me, “I’m his driver, I drive him between his tattoo parlors and all his business meetings, is that against the law?”

I said, “no, but stealing a car and grabbing a man from the street is.”

His expression didn’t change, he nodded, “yeah, I suppose that would be against the law.”

Ollie said, “so you admit that you stole a car?”

He looked toward Ollie, “I didn’t admit anything.”

I slid the picture of Malik toward him, “do you know this man?”

He glanced at the picture, “can’t say that I do.”

I said, “well, he was your coworker up until about a year ago, are you sure that you don’t know him?”

He said, “Freddie employs a lot of people in his vast number of businesses, he may have worked for one of those. I can’t be expected to remember all the people I meet from day to day.”

It was clear that Mikey had been through this drill many times before, I was sure that Freddie had already talked to him about our investigation.

Ollie asked, “so if someone steals from Freddie, how do you handle it?”

Mikey smirked, “nobody steals from Freddie.”

Ollie said, “Malik Reyes did.”

Mikey narrowed his eyes, “I wouldn’t know anything about that.”

I said, “maybe Freddie just looked the other way, we heard that Freddie owed Malik some money.”

Mikey said, “look, I’m just Freddie’s driver, I don’t know much about Freddie’s business, you will have to ask Freddie about that.”

Mikey was well coached, he really didn’t give us any new information. We decided to try our luck with Dinky. We walked into the next room to talk to him, Rich’s description didn’t do him justice. He was biggest man that I had ever seen, he filled up the entire side of the table that he was sitting at. I decided it must be a comical sight to see skinny little white Freddie walking next to the huge black man whenever the pair went out.

I sat the picture of Malik on the table and asked, “do you know this man?”

Dinky looked at the picture, and shrugged, “he might look vaguely familiar.”

I asked, “have you seen him the last 2 days?”

He shook his head, “nope.”

Ollie asked, “when was the last time that you saw him?”

Dinky said, “not sure, I only said he looks vaguely familiar.”

I sighed, “ok, we know Malik worked for Freddie about a year ago, we know Malik may have kept some money he was supposed to give to Freddie. Now Malik is missing, if you don’t start to give us more detailed answers, we can only assume you have something to do with his disappearance.”

He rolled his eyes, “yes, he worked for us a year ago, and after he made his last delivery, he never came back. We went to talk to his boyfriend, and he didn’t know where he was either. After we trailed the boyfriend for a week, Freddie told me not to worry about it anymore, it wasn’t worth our time, so we didn’t. That’s all I know about him.”

Ollie asked, “what was he delivering for you?”

Dinky glared at Ollie, “tattoo supplies.”

I asked, “and you didn’t know that Malik came back to Miami Saturday night?”

He shook his head, “nope, like I said, Freddie told me not to worry about him.”

After about another half hour of curt, evasive answers, Ollie and I went back to my office.

Ollie asked, “what do you think Ridge?”

I shrugged, “I don’t know, I was sure that Freddie was involved somehow.”

Ollie nodded, “yeah, me too.”

I looked through the reports we had on Freddie from Rich, I said, “Freddie may certainly be involved in some shady shit, but there is nothing in here about him abducting anyone before. He may have beat a few guys up, but he always stops short of anything more.”

Ollie thought a moment, “do you think there may be another sex ring thing, like when Tyler was kidnapped?”

I sighed, “shit, I never thought about that, maybe we need to look at other missing person cases with young men. I was just so sure it was one of the people that we have already talked to.”

Ollie said, “yeah, we may need to broaden our search.”

I looked at the clock, “you may be right, we’ll take a look at that tomorrow morning.”

I went and got Tyler and we headed home for the night. Lucas had dinner ready for us again, God, I still don’t know what I did to deserve him.

We chatted about our day, I couldn’t say too much about the case with Tyler there. I didn’t want to upset him or give him any false hope, so I didn’t mention the sex ring angle that Ollie and I talked about. We all sat in the living room after we cleaned the kitchen, I needed to think a bit, so I got up and said I was going to take a shower. Lucas and Tyler stayed in the living room watching TV.

I turned the water on as hot as I could stand it and just stood under the stream of water, trying to relax. I soaped up and rinsed off, then once again stood under the water trying to think who else might have wanted to hurt Malik. I lost track of time as I heard the shower curtain open, Lucas wrapped his arms around me as I felt his cock rub against my ass.

He asked, “are you alright?”

I leaned back into him and said, “yeah, I’m good, especially now.”

He kissed my neck, “you are so tense.” He began to rub my shoulders and neck, his growing manhood still nestled in my crack. I felt my own cock start to harden at his touch.

I asked, “where’s Tyler?”

He whispered, “he went to bed, so we have to be a little bit quiet.”

I smiled as I turned around to face him, “then I better keep my mouth busy.” Our hard cocks began dueling as we started to kiss, each of us holding on tight to each other. Lucas slipped through my arms as he kissed his way to my aching pole, he gave me a smile as he wrapped his lips around my manhood. God, he was beautiful, our eyes remained locked on each other as he demonstrated his oral skills. He fondled my nuts as he bobbed up and down, driving me to the brink. I said, “you better be careful, I’m getting close.” He grinned without taking my cock from his mouth, he sucked even harder as my knees began to buckle. I held onto his head as he gave my balls one more squeeze and I exploded, filling his mouth with my seed. After my last spasm, he released my dick and stood and gave me a cum-filled kiss. I caught my breath and gave him a smile, “that was nice, shall I return the favor?”

He raised an eyebrow, “if you like.”

I said, “oh, I like.” As I went to my knees, pulling back his foreskin and inhaling his magnificent member. He tasted so good, I messaged his nuts and worked a finger into his tight hole as worked my tongue up and down his shaft. His leaking precum sent my tastebuds dancing. I continued my oral assault as Lucas held on to my head and began to drive his dick as far down my throat as he could. His sphincter muscles clamped down on my finger as his nuts pulled up tight, I prepared myself for the nectar that I knew was coming. A few seconds later, I was rewarded with a mouthful of Lucas’s sweet love juices. As soon as he was done shooting, I stood and we once again share a deep kiss, pushing his cum back and forth in our mouths.

He broke our kiss as he stared into my eyes, “do you feel better?”

I sighed, “yes, I do. You always know just what I need. I love you.”

He smiled, “I love you too, and I am always happy to help.”

The water suddenly turned cold, we had definitely been in the shower longer than I thought. We dried off and held each other as went to sleep.

The next morning, we walked into the kitchen, Tyler was already making breakfast.

I said, “Hey, good morning. You’re up early.”

He said, “I hope you don’t mind, but I thought it was the least I could for you guys letting me stay here.”

Lucas smiled, “we don’t mind at all, thank you.”

We sat and ate, Tyler said, “would you mind if I stayed here today, it’s kind of boring at the station all day.”

I said, “no, that’s fine.”

Lucas said, “I have the day off, you can go with me to get groceries and run a few other errands if you like.”

I said, “that sounds like a good idea, are you up for that Tyler?”

He nodded, “sure.”

Tyler’s phone signaled a text message, the color drained from his face as he read the message.

“Tyler, sorry about all the trouble I have caused, but I have met someone. You didn’t do anything wrong, but I am happy and safe. Please move on and you no longer need to look for me, I will always treasure our time together. I wish you nothing but the best, I am sorry if I hurt you.”
