Kit & Ryan

The dawning sun's golden rays shone into the window, bathing the slumbering teens in its light. Kit's tail slightly swished against his soles and caused the wolfboy's soft giggles and flexing toes. Slowly, the teen's eyes fluttered open, and he yawned as he stretched. The boy wiped his eyes and slipped his bare feet into the slippers by the bedside. He carefully got up from the bed, walked into the bathroom, and made sure he didn't wake his adorable soulmate. When he came out of the bathroom, the teen paused and gazed at the other slumbering teen. Kit loved how the morning light made Ryan's hair look like it was on fire, and he still couldn't believe this gorgeous boy loved him. The teen sighed and walked into the kitchen to start the coffee and breakfast. Johnny and Felix left for a week to strengthen their bond. With Johnny's month-long retreat, the attack on the coven, and the couple feeling like they almost lost each other, the older couple needed some time alone.

Kit softly hummed as he worked on his and Ryan's breakfast. The coven's pup made blueberry pancakes from scratch. He fried up some bacon and hash browns. After everything was done, he placed the food on plates and put them in the warmer. Kit fixed the coffee and headed back to the bedroom. The wolf slowly opened the door and tiptoed to Ryan's side of the bed. He sat the cup of coffee on the bedside table, then licked his lips as a mischievous grin came across his lips. Kit's eyes glowed as he created restraints from the sunlight. He pinned his mate's wrists and ankles to the bed. The teen straddled his boyfriend's slumbering body and lightly stroked his fingertips up and down the teen's sides. "Wakey, wakey, Ry." He giggled.

Ryan's eyes fluttered open as giggles escaped his parted lips. "Kkkkiiiiittttttt." Ryan squealed and struggled as he realized his boyfriend had tied him to the bed. The redhead's laughter increased as Kit's tail worked under his shirt, and the tip twirled in Ryan's belly button.

"I love hearing you giggle, baby." Kit smiled, and leaning down, he licked Ryan's cheek.

"Eeeeekkk not the licks, Pup." The teen protested between his giggling. Ryan's toes scrunched, and his giggles increased in pitch and volume as Kit's fingers started tickling his bare feet and toes. "Kkkiiittt! You're sooo dead." The red-haired teen's growl morphed into high-pitched squeals when the other teen's nails lightly strummed up and down his soft bare soles. "steehsdeb yfimmum tiK gnipparw mih morf kcen ot teef."

Kit yelped and squealed as he struggled against his mate's spell. "Umm, I wuv you, Ry." He giggled and tried to give the older teen his cutest puppy eyes.

Ryan giggled and sipped his coffee. The teen's eyes glowed a soft violet. Four toothbrushes appeared, two at his mate's feet and one on either side of Kit's neck. "I love you too, sweet Pup." Ryan waved his hand, and the brushes started tickling the trapped half-wolf. Ryan walked into the bathroom, with his boy's squeals and high-pitched howling laughter filling the bedroom. The red-haired teen chuckled as he did his thing in the bathroom.

Kit's head turned side to side as he tried to scrunch his neck. The teen's ears twitched and flicked while his toes scrunched and tried but failed to keep the bristles from tickling their bases. "Rrrryyyyy." He squealed as he fruitlessly tried to break his mate's spell.

Ryan opened the bathroom door and smirked as he waved his hand, releasing the ticklish boy. "I love hearing your adorable giggles, Pup."

The redhead giggled and jumped onto his boyfriend, tickling the younger teen's sides and kissing Kit's stomach before blowing raspberries. Kit screeched and cackled as he wriggled and kicked the mattress. Finally, the teen wolf screeched out his surrender. The half-witch panted and smiled as he wrapped his arms around his mate.

"That was awesome. I love you, Ry." Kit kissed the redhead's soft lips.

Ryan giggled. "You're too cute, baby boy. I love you too. More than I ever dreamed possible." Ryan stopped and wiped his tears. He smiled, leaned down, and kissed Kit's nose.

Kit giggled and closed his eyes, sighing happily. He gasped and squirmed as Ryan threw him over his shoulder and carried him into the kitchen. Ryan chuckled. After the teen set the coffee cup on the table, he tickled Kit's side, then put him on the floor. The couple discussed their plans for the evening after school. Kit had a meeting to attend for the school's GSA, and Ryan had a couple of counseling sessions. They got up and started to head for the shower.

"Hey Ry, let's shower together." Kit suggested as he got out of his underwear and grabbed his towel and washcloth.

The redhead got a bit apprehensive and squirmed a bit. "Umm, maybe another time, Kit." As soon as he said it, he could feel the half-wolf's emotional level drop. He silently cursed himself for being so hung up on his scar. Mentally, he knew there wasn't any logical reason they couldn't shower together. They'd been dating for almost two years.

Kit's tears dried as he tried to not give in to the feeling of being rejected or undesirable. He nodded, kissed his mate, and headed for the shower. Ryan wiped his tears and hoped Kit would truly understand that he wasn't ready yet. The redhead got his towel and washcloth, then headed for the second shower. Kit finished first. He got dressed and grabbed his backpack. Usually, the teen would wait for his mate, and they'd leave together, with Ryan following Kit to make sure nothing happened to him, but this morning, he telepathically told his boyfriend he was going and that he loved him. Ryan told his mate he loved him too as the teen's tears dripped down his cheeks. The redhead lightly hit his head against the shower wall. He knew this was about Kit's wanting to shower together.

Ryan pulled into the lot and parked beside Kit's bike. He shouldered his backpack and walked inside. The teen headed for his locker, which was beside Kit's. From the half-wolf's distinct scent, Ryan could tell that he'd just missed his mate. He shook his head, grabbed the books he needed, and shut the locker door. The redhead turned around and was suddenly shoved into the metal lockers. A resounding clang echoed through the hallway.

"Watch where ya goin', freak." The assailant sneered as he and his neanderthal boys laughed.

Ryan shook his head and cussed them out under his breath as he rubbed his arm. The teen knew that he'd just have to let the bruise show and deal with the pain. Now that school was in session, all the witches with healing abilities had to keep their magic under wraps. He was about to walk to his class when he felt Kit's arms wrap around him with his head laying on his shoulder.

"Are you okay, Ry?" Kit asked telepathically.

The redhead sighed and smiled. He could feel the genuine concern and love in the bond shared with the half-witch. "I'm fine, Pup." He replied.

"I'm sorry for getting so upset this morning. I love you, Ryan."

"It's okay, Kit. You don't have to apologize. We can discuss this later, at home." He paused and hugged his mate. "I love you too."

The teens held hands as long as they could before splitting up for their separate classes. Neither one noticed the janitor glaring at them from behind. His eyes darkened and narrowed as he nodded. "He's the one I want." The white-haired man's tongue swiped across his slightly wrinkled lips. He could feel the power radiating from the shorter blonde. The janitor could also feel the redhead's superior magical strength and abilities. However, the shorter one had the quality he most desired. He needed a powerful wolf for the sacrifice, one strong enough to withstand the magic and blood drainage the spell required. So far, every other wolf chosen died before the ritual could be effective. The older man was part of a coven of magic-wielding druids whose main desire was to call back the power of darkness from the dimension it was trapped in. He called up a portal inside the closet and watched over the half-wolf from the safety of the woods.

Ryan and Kit only saw each other passing through the halls until lunch. Luckily, they both had the same lunch schedule. The couple smiled and held hands under the table as they sat side by side at their usual table. A couple of friends sat across from them, and they took turns talking about their classes and evenings. Before Kit and Ryan knew it, the day was over. The pair met at their lockers and hugged as they separated for their destinations.

Ryan mounted his bike and headed back to the B&B. He stopped at the house to drop off his books, fix a snack, and grab himself a bottle of cherry-flavored water. The teen took the water, and his homework to his office, beside the waterfall. The redhead had an hour before his first appointment, and he worked on his school work. He'd gotten halfway through before the client arrived.

Kit's meeting ran a little longer than usual they were planning for upcoming holidays and school functions. The half-wolf hugged his friends, then he jumped on his bike and headed for home. He'd just passed the last bend before the teen would be in the safety of his protective field when a dark shadow coil came shooting from the forest and wrapped itself around Kit's chest under his arms. He growled and tried to stay on his bike, but the shadow tightened and constricted his breathing. The teen's vision blackened. He passed out and fell off his ride right before reaching the forcefield. The bike passed through the field and then fell on its side. Kit's unmoving body was magically lifted, and he floated through the trees.

After Ryan's last client left, he gathered his books, locked the door, and headed home. The auburn-haired teen smiled as he thought about the evening with his soulmate. He was also hesitant because tonight, he was gonna sit down with Kit and discuss the need for patience as he prepared himself for moving forward in their relationship. However, the closer he got to the house, the more he felt a growing ominous feeling in the pit of his stomach. The teen knew better than to ignore those feelings cause they usually warned him of possible danger. Ryan stopped by a tree and closed his eyes. Suddenly, his eyes popped open, and he softly cried out. "Kit, I can't feel the bond with Kit."

The druid's high priest smiled as their chosen one lay on the stone slab. He lightly ran his fingertips along Kit's naked body. The man gasped as he felt the toned muscles of the growing teen. He could also feel the immense power contained by the boy's flesh, magic looking to be released. "Soon, my beautiful specimen. You'll be a part of the universe's energy." He grimly chuckled while chanting with his arms raised. The man's magic manifested into dark green energy surrounding the unconscious teen. As the magic man continued his chant, the energy's glow grew brighter as it incased Kit's body. The half-wolf's heart began beating faster as his muscles tightened and untightened. His toes flexed and curled as his body flashed between Kit's human and wolf forms. "It's almost time, young pup." The priest cackled and began gathering his tools.

Ryan ran into the house. "Kit, are you here?" Tears fell from his eyes as he searched the entire premises. "Puppy, answer me, please." The redhead pleaded. He gasped and dropped to his knees as he clutched his chest. The young witch heaved and moaned in pain. It felt like half of his heart was being ripped from his body. He knew this had something to do with his mate. Suddenly, Ryan felt a pair of arms wrap around him, pulling him to his feet. The redhead wiped his tears and turned to face his embracer. "Raven?" He gasped and laid his head on his previous Coven brother's shoulder, crying. "Rave, someone's got my Pup, my soulmate."

Raven gently smoothed his bro's hair and kissed his head. "I know, Ry. That's why I'm here. I had a vision of your Kit, and he was being sacrificed by the Brotherhood of Shadows."

Ryan's eyes popped open. He stepped back and gazed into his brother's violet eyes. Ryan and Raven were often mistaken for being biological brothers because they were so similar in appearance. This worked to their advantage when the pair worked together on missions. If either one of them got captured, then the other one could confuse the enemy.

The teen's mouth went dry as he forced himself to speak. "The Brotherhood has Kit?"
Raven nodded, and he embraced his slightly younger brother. The redhead always held a special place in his heart for Ryan. Raven was the one who helped the budding witch gain control and an understanding of the magic that was transferred to the teen after he was attacked by an Alpha Wolf. "I've been tracking their movements. I was actually on my way here because this is where they'd settled." Raven paused and slightly smiled. "I was planning on stopping by anyway for a visit while keeping an eye on them."

"Are they trying to releaseā€¦"

"Yes, and if they succeed, we're all screwed."

Ryan closed his eyes and did a quick mental inventory of what he knew about the obscure Brotherhood. Raven knew what he was doing, and he telepathically connected with the other red-haired witch. The duo joined hands and opened their minds to one another so they could trade information they each possessed. After a few minutes, the teens nodded and together set out to find the druids and Kit.

While the priest gathered his supplies, Kit's wolf started waking the human side. The teen's eyes flew open, and he looked around. Panic and fear started rising inside him when he realized he was trapped by powerful magic. Kit forced himself to calm down as he used the bond and sent vibes to Ryan so he could be found. The wolf began trying to analyze the enchantment keeping him trapped. That's when he realized it was made of shadows. Kit's eyes glowed bright, and his body was bathed in a blinding white light from the energy of the waning sun's rays. A couple of minutes later, the spell was broken, and Kit could move.

Ryan and Raven were almost to the druid's camp when the bond with Kit alerted the teens to his mate's wakening and his being free. "Rave, Kit's awake and freed himself."

"How? I've never heard of anyone being able to break their high priest's magic."

Suddenly, Kit's voice entered both of the witch's thoughts. "I'm hoping I've got enough strength to shift and get out of here."

"Pup, we're on the edge of their camp. If you can get away, do it. I love you." Ryan sent back.

"Stay safe, bro," Raven said.

"Doing my best." The wolf teen started to shift but was stopped by several shadow coils wrapping themselves around him and squeezing.

"You truly are the most powerful wolf I've come across thus far." The priest stated as he strengthened his coils magic. He loved seeing the trapped boy struggling to break free.

This time Kit didn't fight against it. He realized the coils reacted to his physical movements, and that's why he was taken so easy when he was on his bike. The newly risen moon shone brightly, bathing the forest in its beams. The teen used his magic, and a shimmering golden-white light surrounded Kit's entire body. The light brightened and burned the coils away.

The priest gasped, and his eyes widened. He'd never seen this much power from a young wolf. "How is this possible?" The older man couldn't look directly at the teen because the light was intense and blinding.

"I'm wolf and light witch half and half." Kit growled. He held his hands out in front of him. White energy beams shot out from his palms. The beams wrapped around the priest, binding him and his magic. He focused his thoughts, then blinked, and the priest was sent to another dimension. The light dimmed as an exhausted Kit stumbled and sat on the concrete slab.

Raven and Ryan shared a quick hug before launching their attack on the Brotherhood's camp. They announced their presence by rushing in and taking out as many as possible. Raven jumped back and dodged the shadow arrows and weaponry the druids wielded. He used his own shadow magic, sending tendrils to disarm the magic users. He was about to hurl a shadow throwing star at one of the druids when a tendril wrapped around the redhead's ankles. Raven yelped as he fell to the ground, losing his hold on the dagger. The teen struggled but couldn't break the strength of the shadows that tied his ankles. Another tendril shot out and wrapped around his wrists, the two shadows hog tied Raven. He conjured his soulself to manifest as a giant raven. The raven let out an earth-shaking call as its massive wings stretched and flapped, sending the druids flying back, thus breaking their hold on the teen.

Ryan took out four of the druids before getting knocked to the ground by a shadow hammer. The teen grunted and shook his head. He was about to get to his feet when he got tackled and pinned by three assailants. The redhead struggled but was overpowered. The one sitting on his waist conjured a shadow dagger. Ryan forced himself to stay calm, and his eyes glowed a dark violet. "enacirruh sdniw wolb meht yawa." The winds obeyed the witch's spell and blew hard enough to throw the three men back several feet into the forest. Ryan and Raven managed to join up and faced their opponents back to back. The teens and druids were at a constant stalemate. Neither one struck a crucial blow.

Ryan grunted as he ducked a punch and landed his effort on the other guy's jaw. "I know, and we still haven't seen..."

Ryan's statement was cut short when he saw a glowing light coming from the sacrificial pit. All fighting stopped as the druids and witches turned to face the light. Everyone had to shield their eyes from the brilliant white light emanating from the being walking out of the pit.

"Who the hell?" Raven asked telepathically.

Ryan started to respond but stopped. A smile and glow of pride came across the teen's face and showed in his eyes.

"You know who that is."

Ryan softly giggled and shrugged his shoulders. Raven smirked and telepathically told Ryan he could tickle it outta him since everyone's distracted. The younger teen smiled and told Raven who the glowing being was. Raven's eyes shot open, and he had to cover his mouth to keep from hollering out Kit's name.

The glowing light dimmed to where it traced the outside of Kit's body. The druids all gasped as murmurs broke out among them. The tallest and most muscular of them silenced his brothers by raising his hand. He adopted a defensive posture and confronted the newcomer.

"You're the chosen sacrifice. How'd you break our priest's magic, and what have you done with him?" The hulking man asked. His almost seven-foot-tall frame dwarfed Kit, Ryan, and Raven.

To his credit, Kit didn't show any signs of being intimidated. "You're priest's magic is no match for the power of light. When it's bright enough, it can dispel all shadows and send them to other dimensions." Kit paused and gazed at the remaining druids. "He won't be returning anytime soon. I'd suggest you leave before you all share his fate."

The power and menace in the teen's suddenly deeper voice caused the bones of those gathered around to rattle inside their flesh casings. All except for Raven and Ryan, who unknowingly were surrounded by one of Kit's forcefields.

The original confronter growled and conjured a shadow sword with a widened blade. The man's eyes narrowed as he charged the teen. Ryan and Raven started to think of how to stop him, but before they could, Kit stepped to the side just before his attacker reached him. He stuck out his foot and tripped the assailant. The druid cried out as he fell to the ground, and his sword impaled a tree, then disappeared, leaving only the mark where the blade sunk into the bark.

Kit shook his head and placed his hand on the mark, healing the tree. "That wasn't very nice. The tree didn't do a thing to you." He turned just in time to see the man getting to his feet and conjure another weapon. Kit didn't give him a chance. The half-wolf held his palms out, facing the attacker. Like before, beams of white light shot out and wrapped around the man, making him completely helpless. Everyone gasped as they watched the trapped druid disappear. Kit raised his arms and started chanting. His eyes glowed, and a bright light shined from his body. The teen shot a sweeping beam from his hands that sent every druid the light touched to a different dimension, with no one going to the same one.

Ryan and Raven watched in amazement as the men all disappeared until it was only the three teens left. As soon as they regained their senses, the two redhead's rushed over to Kit. Ryan's tears trailed down his cheeks as he wrapped his mate in a loving, protective embrace. He didn't even care that Kit was naked as their lips mashed together. "I was so scared. I love you, my sweet pup."

Kit sighed and happily returned his mate's affection. "Not as scared as I was." The teen softly giggled. He yelped as he was encased in Raven's bear hug. "Hey, big bro. Dude, you guys are total badasses. Thanks for saving me. You're my heroes." The wolf boy smiled and licked the other teen's cheeks.

"Under the circumstances, I'll let that go unpunished, baby pup." Ryan giggled and wiped his cheek, with Raven nodding and doing the same thing.

"Wait, Kit not only breaks the spell of a high priest to one of the most obscure brotherhoods to exist, then he sends their entire faction to different dimensions, and he's calling us heroes and saying we saved him?" Raven asked as he shook his head.

Ryan and Kit were doubled over, laughing. "By the way, Pup, how did you break the priest's spell?" Ryan asked.

Kit giggled. "I calmed my emotions and was able to conduct an analysis of the shadow coils. I found out that at least the ones from the priest reacted to physical struggles. The more you struggled, the tighter they got and constricted your breathing. I used my magic to pull the energy from the setting sun's rays and made it bright enough to disintegrate the coils."

Raven and Ryan smiled and hugged the younger teen. "I'll put that in our files on the brotherhood," Ryan said. He then noticed his mate's naked body. "Let's get you some clothes on, Pup, and head home." He smiled and looked at his brother. "Ya coming, Rave?"

Raven shook his head. "Not this time, bro. You two need some time alone, but I'll be back soon for a visit." The redhead hugged and kissed his brothers and conjured his soulself to teleport home.

"Now about those clothes." Ryan grinned when he saw Kit taking off running.

"Gotta catch me first, witchboy." Kit hollered over his shoulder, giggling.

Ryan cackled as he shook his head, and his eyes glowed a soft violet. "revoC tiK ni sehtolc taht elkcit" The teen chuckled as he heard the echo of Kit's squeals and laughter.

"Yyyoouu'rrrreee ccheeeaatttiiinnggg, RRRyyyy." Kit screeched through his laughter. He was still giggling and wriggling on the ground when his mate approached, hefted his squirming body over his shoulder, and carried him back to the house.
