Brothers rewind.
A slight rewind to Jon’s initial arrival at Patrick and Josh‘s. It was right after Patrick had his mishap with Clint, the Blonde construction guy, and had to refrain from relations with his husband while he waited for his STD tests.
Jon Deluca doted over his younger brother Josh. It was clear to anyone how much these two men loved each other. Josh noticed that Jon would pull back and defer whenever Patrick, Josh’s husband, was around. That was probably for the best, but it still hurt Josh that he had to do that. Always his protector, looking out for his best interests over his own. That was Jon’s way. And Josh loved him fiercely for that and many other reasons.
Patrick was acting oddly though. He said he had a back injury from the gym, which made sense, but then Josh would see him walking completely normally. Sometimes he had a limp and other times it seemed he forgot he was injured. That struck him is odd. They had opened up the relationship, there was no reason for any secrecy if anything was going on. Unless… unless there was an affair.
Or if Patrick was planning to leave him.
Josh had held a lot back from Patrick. So much about his troubled past, all the trauma he went through. He felt dirty and he felt damaged. He didn’t think Patrick could really understand if he heard everything. And definitely not about… That. So Patrick’s withdrawal from intimacy really ate at Josh. Josh wanted to give him space for whatever he was going through. He felt Patrick would eventually talk to him about it if there was any problems. But it just still felt… odd. And it put Josh on edge, and filled him with anxiety. anxiety that kept growing.
Rewind—the brothers become orphans
Jon and Patrick had been orphaned when teenagers. Well, Josh was still essentially a kid as he was only 11. His older brother guided him and protected him in foster care, through that horrible time with that rotten second foster family. The one where the husband groomed then raped him. Jon had protected him with his life, ending up in reform school. That actually might be the real root of all of Josh’s anxiety. Even during the abuse with that horrible husband, he had Jon to rely on. He slept next to Jon in that little room every night. Regardless of what indignities he suffered during the day, he had his brother by his side pretty much day and definitely all night. Jon was fiercely protective and Josh felt safe only with him around. Losing both parents, it was just them. Just the two brothers. No other family to help, no one else that gave a shit about either one of them. It was just them. They remembered the family they had, the love they all shared. But, unfortunately, they weren’t a "life insurance" kind of family. So the brothers were left destitute. Josh saw Jon work his ass off to keep him as safe as possible. So when Jon had to leave for reform school and Josh was placed in a new foster, he was all by himself for the first time in his young life. He was 13 then. And he had nobody. Josh began to suffer panic attacks at night that would grow more violent and terrifying.
When Jon was 18 he was released from reform school and he came back for Josh. Filed for guardianship and somehow despite, his stint in the youth home, a compassionate judge listened to their full story and believed them. He gave Jon guardianship. (Coincidentally, or not, , that horrible foster family came before the news a few months later when one of their fosters spoke out against them, the judge acting as their advocate. The husband was jailed for child rape. Jon mowed the judge's lawn for free for as long as he was in the same town.) The brothers found a small room together. Jon got a job in construction and Josh pursued his schooling. Life was good for them, better than it had been since before they lost their parents. Whenever Josh had a panic attack, Jon figured out through trial and error that the best way to calm him down was just to lay with all his weight on top of him and hold him close. Both were fully clothed. They would just lay together until Josh stopped shaking, with Jon petting his hair and whispering in his ear that he was okay, he was safe. This became a regular thing for them. At this point fully platonic. Fully clothed, just one brother comforting another. But feelings were developing that neither acknowledged.
But then Josh did something really stupid. He stole a laptop. Josh was pursuing his writing and his laptop kept crashing, losing all his work. Somehow they had evidence and they came to the house. Jon immediately took the rap. Didn’t even blink, didn’t hesitate. He put himself between the police and his trembling, younger brother and said he did it. Josh tried to protest the John turned and yelled at him in a low gutter voice. Don’t take the blame for me, little brother. I fucked up. This is on me. They took him away, and Jon spent several months in prison.
Josh was put back in the system and placed with another foster. The night terrors and panic attacks increased. So much so that that foster family put him back into the system and Josh went to a group home until he was placed with another foster. All of it was hell. A few months of this and finally Jon appeared at the foster house. He had been released. Josh ran into his arms, sobbing. His savior, protector. Josh could breathe again. Jon explained there was no way they were gonna give him guardianship again, not with his prison record. So they had to run. Disappear. Josh didn’t hesitate for a second. Grabbed as much as they could carry, and they were out the door. Took transit as far as their money would take them and got off in anytown, USA. A few really hard days, but then they found a small room with a kind landlady who let them pay very little rent—in cash— if they did chores around the house and the yard. The guys gratefully complied. Because they had no money they had to share a small room and it just had a twin bed, but they didn’t care. By that point, it was always big spoon, little spoon. They slept like they were one person. It’s the only way Josh could sleep, his brother‘s weight on top of him or at least to the side of him holding him close. And John would clearly do anything for his brother. Big spoon, little spoon.
Neither really knows how it happened or how it started, but they started petting each other, just innocuous on arms, shoulders. Lips brushing on the neck, pecks on the cheek. Nothing sexual just really sweet and affectionate. But they were teenage boys well past puberty. In fact, Jon was already Jon. Just about as big, beefy, and manly as he is today. And erections were bound to happen. Josh could feel it against him. Jon would pull his body back, but Josh would eventually scoot right back into the pocket. It made him feel good, it made him feel important and it made him feel wanted. Josh started gyrating ever so softly against Jon at night. Eventually so much so that Jon would wake up with pre-cum all over his boxers or pajama bottoms. One night while they were laying together, Josh had a panic attack and Jon tried all the usual things, but they didn’t work, but this one was becoming particularly bad. Josh was shaking and crying. Jon wanted to quiet him for the landlady's sake so they wouldn’t be thrown out, but also want to comfort him. Out of all the usual options, Jon kissed him on the lips. He would alternate between whispering in his ear and kissing him on the cheek, neck, lips. This did it. Did the fucking trick. Josh calmed right down and started to moan. He reached up with his hands, holding his brothers head into his own. Clutching John’s, dark, thick curls, not letting him move away. Josh kissed him back. The brothers, tentative at first, became more passionate. Jon was over 18 and had no other outlet. He wasn’t seeing anyone else. Every second was spent working in construction, working around the landlady’s house, or taking care of his brother. They made out for a while. Jon tried to pull away a few times, but Josh pulled him back, his eyes pleading. Please. It didn’t take much pleading because Jon wanted it just as badly. Neither understood the change of feeling, but after everything they’ve been through together, the abandonment by everybody else in society, and the deep love they’ve always had for one another this just felt like the next step. Natural. After the initial feeling of awkwardness, it was just how it was supposed to be. They would take care of each other, in every way.
They graduated to oral and then finally to anal. Josh loved feeling Jon on top of him. It was the combination of sex with someone he loved, but also the feeling of Jon's big heavy body on top of his own. It calmed him when he had his panic attacks, and now it fulfilled him like nothing else in the world. It was the perfect combination. When Jon was inside him, everything was perfect. Josh wants to live here forever. In this moment, in this space, under this man—his brother.
But Jon was concerned. Josh was dropping hints, little comments, so sure this was the "forever" plan. Everything he had gone through, and being so much older than Josh, Jon didn’t know that it was right. He still had that nagging feeling that he was taking advantage. Was he better than that horrible foster husband? He wasn’t so sure.
Josh was excelling in class and got a scholarship to college. Seeing how well he was doing in the outside world got Jon thinking. The panic attacks stopped long ago. And Jon didn’t think it was just because they shared a bed. He really thinks Josh had gotten stronger. He’s growing up. He’s becoming himself and the distance between the trauma is helping. Jon makes a decision. He talks to the landlady and works out a deal that he will continue to pay the rent as long as Josh stays there. But he’s going to leave and let Josh have his own life. He gives her his number but makes her promise she won’t let Josh know she has it and she will only use it if he has an emergency and needs his brother back. She was a kind old lady, but she wasn’t an idiot. And the brothers weren’t always quiet. Deep down she thought this was the best thing for both of them. Despite what have been going on in that room, she did like them both, and she knew a bit about their backstory so she didn’t judge. But she also felt this was a good decision to give Josh the best chance in a real life. She didn’t say any of this, of course, but she agreed to keep Jon’s confidence.
Josh came home to find the note and he was devastated. But he managed to keep the panic attacks at bay this time, throwing himself into a schooling and then his college. He actually got into college younger than most because he homeschooled himself with the online classes, took his high school equivalency and aced everything. The perfect student. Smart as fuck.
(In college Josh met Patrick. And the rest is history. Maybe we’ll visit that in another chapter but right now we’re going back to Jon's arrival at Patrick and Josh’s home.)
It’s not like present day Josh was weak or anything. He survived so much bullshit and trauma his life. He is actually pretty well adjusted for what he went through. But he always needed a tether. Something stable to ground himself with and with Patrick’s withdrawal, Josh‘s anxiety wrapped up. Naturally, he began to rely on big brother, Jon.
Neither meant for it to happen. They had not been intimate with one another since Jon left him so they could break the cycle, Josh could go to college and live his own life. The couple times Jon visited after Josh and Patrick got together was always strictly platonic and above board. They went back to being just brothers. There were times one would catch each other, looking at them longingly, but they never crossed the line again.
But Jon knew his brother very well and he saw that he was upset. But what he didn’t know, and what Josh was not forthcoming about, was why. He loved his husband and he knew that Jon and Patrick weren’t exactly simpatico. So he resisted saying anything negative about one to the other. But one evening when Patrick is working late then an evening gym workout, Josh falls asleep on the couch. Jon is in the guest room watching some game on TV when he hears those telltale cries. Fuck! Jon leaps out of bed and dashes to his brother. Jon leans down and shakes him awake. Josh can’t catch his breath, his eyes terrified. John doesn’t even think, he lays on top of him and hold him close. Nothing sexual, just the weight of the big brother holding a little brother. Josh immediately calms down and his breathing returns to normal. Once it seems better, John moved to the side of the couch. The panic attack having passed and the absence of the soothing big brother,s weight leads Josh to release. He starts to cry. Not panicked, but definitely emotional. Just a release. Jon, concerned, asks his brother what’s wrong. Still not wanting to tell his brother anything negative about his husband. Josh tries to put him off. But Jon’s not gonna have that—he takes his brother’s head gently in both hands and stares at him now. With quiet intensity he demands Josh tell him what’s wrong? Josh relents and admits he and Patrick aren’t in sync. Something's going on right now he doesn’t understand. Josh doesn’t know if they’re gonna stay together. Jon immediately gets his back up. What’s he done, he growls? Josh shrugs. He doesn’t know. Patrick's not telling him anything. But Josh knows things are different. Something's up. Something’s gone on or something’s going to go on. He doesn’t know if he’s having an affair or it’s just planning to leave him. Maybe he’s just too much for him now. Maybe he wants someone easier. Jon says that’s impossible. Josh is worth every effort in the world. Gives way more than he ever takes. Josh smiles slightly, despite himself. His brother, always his protector, making him feel better. Josh rests his head on Jon's shoulder. Jon whispers- is he sure there’s nothing he can tell him? No evidence, nothing Patrick said? Josh shakes his head no but Josh has known him for a while now and quite well. He knows the ebb and flow of his moods and movements. Patrick isn’t himself and it started well before Jon arrived. So it’s not because he’s here. Though he was kind of using that as an excuse now. Jon doesn’t know what to make of that but he doesn’t push.
The brothers hold each other for awhile. It’s a level of intimacy neither has allowed themselves since the night before Jon secretly left him to have his own life all those years ago. The mood and intimacy allows Josh the courage to ask the question. Josh looks at his brother. Why did you leave me? Jon buckles, gulps. He didn’t expect that question is is not prepared to talk about this. He’s a man a few words anyway but getting into an emotional conversation like this? It’s tough for the man. But he can’t resist his brother. Jon's eyes grow wet with emotion. Josh continues, I would’ve stayed with you. I wanted us to be together. You were my forever. Did you think that was settling? I was in love with you. The emotion is too much and Jon has to move away and get off the couch. Josh asks him to look at him. Please. The big man’s shoulder slump. The fight's out of him. The reckoning has come. Jon faces his younger brother, who has gotten up and now stands in front of him as well. He had to leave. He had to give Josh a chance at a normal life. What they had was a trauma, it was two people, two kids, clinging to each other because they had nobody else in the world. And he wouldn’t have found Patrick had Jon stayed. Josh asks Jon who he has. Who do you have, big brother? Is there anyone. Jon hadn’t considered this would be a question asked. He hesitates, he hedges. But Josh, while gentle, won’t let it go. Who do you have? Jon meets his eyes and just shakes his head. Josh says you should’ve stayed with me. Jon can’t resist now and goes over, picks his brother up and kisses him. It’s tender and passionate all at the same time. Josh starts to cry a little, not a panic or sad cry. More like happy and relief. Josh whispers in his brother‘s ear, I thought you were done with me. I thought I was holding you back. Jon looks at him with a fierce look. He almost yells. It was never you. You’re everything. The prize. I wanted you to have every fucking chance in the world. After what you went through. Fuck. I was the one that didn’t matter. I only mattered in your eyes. Not to anyone else in the world. I had to give you that chance, and if it meant I lost you, I was gonna take that bullet.
Josh breaks the embrace, and Jon sets him back down on the ground. Without words, Josh takes his hand and brings him to the guest room. He closes and locks the door. . Josh does manage his wits enough to ask John when he was last with somebody. His brother smiles and says it’s been months and because it was a man he was tested just two months ago and hasn’t been with anybody since. Josh kisses him with growing passions. And the two brothers make love for the first time in many years.
Josh is already back in the primary bedroom, showered and in pajamas when Patrick comes home. They don’t really say much to each other and both go to bed. Patrick keeps his distance from Josh, as he has been for the past several days, but this time Josh doesn’t make any moves. He keeps his own distance, knowing what he’s done.
The trigger has been switched, flipped, reignited. Jon is only going to be in town for a short time and Josh is determined they help heal one another and reconnect. And then the best way they can do that is through making love. This is the other most important person in the world to Josh. The one that would never walk away, like he fears Patrick is doing right now. Josh has missed him so much and Jon, well Jon has been a walking ghost without him. Their lovemaking runs the gambit from sensitive and romantic to downright animalistic. After John piston fucks him for the first time, Josh noted that Jon's picked up a few tricks since he last saw him. The brothers kiss and smile at one another.
Josh knows it’s wrong. If he really wants to keep his marriage and to actually get it back on track this shouldn’t be happening but he’s also torn. His brother left him and he was in love with him. Probably still is. Can you love two men at the same time? Because he still feels he’s deeply in love with Patrick and wants to save his marriage. But the big, saving grace to the anxiety he’s been going through of late is that he reconnected with his brother. In every way. It’s not just sex. It was never just sex. That’s one element of it. That’s just one part of showing their love. These brothers, these men, love one another. Every single way and in every single aspect. It’s deep, true love. Might not be what society deems acceptable. At least in most cultures. But it’s right for them. Josh doesn’t wanna lose that again. He doesn’t know what the future is gonna look like, but he loves both these men.
Josh arrives home and is met at the door by Jon, sexy as fuck standing just in boxers. his sexy smirk atop that gorgeous! hairy, broad torso covered in curly thick, dark hair. Josh's breath hitches, still enamored by the vision after all these years. Jon picks the younger brother up and kisses him passionately, walking him- still off the ground- to the guest room. Jon places him on the bed and tenderly unbutton his clothes. He starts to fold them but then smiles and tosses them in the corner. Josh laughs, those are my good work clothes. Jon says he left his T-shirt and shorts in the room, he can wear those to the bathroom after they’re done. They embrace and kiss. Jon lifts him off the bed and lays him down flat on his back. Smiling devilishly, the older, bigger brother lays on top of his prize. His favorite guy. He opens his legs and just kisses him. Patrick’s cock is now under Josh’s balls, in his hairy taint. John comments how his brother has really become a man as he gently tugs on Josh‘s bush. Josh smiles, but he doesn’t tell him it was Patrick’s idea. Doesn’t seem the opportune time to bring up the husband . While Josh is mostly smooth, especially compared to his hirsute husband and big brother, Patrick did convince him not to trim his body hair after they got together. So Josh has plenty of underarm and leg hair with a full bush and hairy taint. The rest of the him naturally as smooth as a swimmer. This is return to an old favorite position for them. Before they had penetrative anal sex this was how they got off together. They could simulate penetrative sex, and Jon could get off by fucking Josh‘s taint. Jon was so careful with his younger brother after the trauma he had gone through it took him a long time to work up to fucking. And this became a favorite position before they did. It’s all pleasure, intimacy, zero pain. Jon is a wild beast, fucking his brother‘s legs. Finally he can’t take it anymore and he lifts Josh‘s legs over his shoulder and slowly enters him. Josh has become used to his length again. He’s not that different from his husband, just a little bit bigger and a little thicker. They make love. And they fuck. Anyone that really good at sex knows those can be different things. While kissing Jon, repeatedly growls in Josh‘s ears how much he loves him. Calls him baby. Call him Joshy, which is their nickname. He only uses it when they’re being intimate, for the most part. So very few other people will ever hear that name. And Josh calls Jon Jonnie when they’re fucking.
After that particularly passionate afternoon fuck, Josh gets up, Jon tosses him the gray sport shirt with the red logo, along with a pair of boxers he had left behind the previous day. Josh recently found the shirt in the bottom of his closet, hadn’t worn it in years. He forgot how soft it was. The best shirt to sleep or lounge around the house in. Or fuck your brother in. So after a deep dick down by Jon, a totally satisfied Josh gets up, all red faced and flushed still, and opens the door to the guest room to go to the bathroom when he sees his husband standing right in front of him. Patrick!
What the fuck!
We will be back in the present timeline with the next chapter. Dealing with Jon and Patrick's intimacy when Josh returns home to them both.
If you’re liking this story -and I’ve noticed the ratings have been going up with subsequent chapters- please consider going back to chapter 1 and voting. That’s the lowest rating the story has and I think it would help the algorithm if chapter 1 ratings where is high as the later ones. This is a slow burn story. You’re not supposed to see where I’m going with chapter 1. But if you really like it and you’re in chapters 4 or 5 just consider rating chapter 1 and maybe leaving a comment there. Thank you!🙏
