Today we're re-visiting Next Door Male, an amateur jackoff site. The guys do appear to be real amateur jocks, although some of the models of Next Door Male have also appeared on the other sites owned by the same company, so not all the models are first-timers. Still, a lot have that fresh "never done this before" feel, and the rest of them are more like pro-amateurs, not pornstars.
There are some very hot guys inside Next Door Male. While not every model is gorgeous, and a few are sort of plain, I found a lot of good looking and hunky college-aged amateurs. When you log into Next Door Male, you are taken directly to the first page of video listings. There is no menu - just linked thumbs of the first 16 guys and advertising at the bottom of the page. The navigation is simple but only allows you to forward one page at a time. It would have been nice to be able to click to any of the 13 pages of listings but you can only click next and go to the next page - or go to the previous page.
The Next Door Male videos are available in both WMV and Quicktime, and you can either stream them or download them. What's more, there is no DRM protection, so you can watch them freely again and again. Both formats of the older broadband videos are shown at 320x240. The oldest videos stream at around 256k where the medium and videos are streamed at 515k. Some episodes also offer dialup WMVs offered for people on slower connections. They are shown at 160x120 and stream between 36 and 62k.
The medium age videos are good amateur quality when watched at their original size while the older videos are amateur quality. When enlarged, the older videos didn't look great although the medium videos looked okay, with just a little loss of quality. While the medium videos don't look as clear full screen, those who like it big may find the quality acceptable. The sound on most of the videos was a little on the quiet side, but turning it up just a little took care of things.
The newer videos are shown at 640x480 with a bitrate of around 2 Mbps. These look good, can go full screen with only a little loss of quality, and would definitely make a nice addition to members' porn collections.
The Next Door Male videos don't include interviews or other interaction with the models. Except for the oldest videos, the guys undress, jack off, shower and jack off again. There is no music - you can hear the rustle of the fabric as the clothes come off, the guys' soft breathing, the faster breathing as they get closer to cumming and the soft moans and groans as they shoot their loads. Because of the showering and two masturbation sessions, most of the videos are 15 minutes each or longer.
There are currently 194 videos inside Next Door Male. All are solo jackoff scenes and each comes with a set of embedded pics. All the pic sets can be watched as a hands-free slideshow for those who might need their hands for.. ahem... something else. The older pics are on the smaller side. The biggest problem with Next Door Male for me is none of the videos have dates. I figured out the older videos were listed last because they are smaller and lower quality so they look a little older. There have been 81 updates since our last review, which was a little over 18 months ago, so the site has been updating once per week.
Although there are no links to them inside the site, Next Door Male owners get access to 4 more sites with their membership - Next Door Buddies, Tommy D & Friends, Stroke That Dick and a straight site called Next Door Hookups. Next Door Buddies and Tommy D & Friends both include gay hardcore action as well as masturbation. These sites share some models, and I notice some of the guys who appear in the gay shoots also appear in the straight site.
Next Door Male has a nice collection of solo videos. Older vids are shown at 320x240 and the newer WMVs are 640x480. Video quality ranges from good amateur to good quality. These vids show each guy undressing, stroking and shooting his load, and the videos capture the action well. Each video also includes a set of pics as well as a nice description of the action and sometimes some info about the model. Next Door Male members also get access to 4 more original sites, which adds value for members. I don't mind no dates by the videos, but I do kind of mind that it is stuff on other sites, identical in fact. That bugs me.
Slideshow feature is nice, worth taking advantage of too, for better enjoyment of the pictures.
