The small dirt path was steep, but Sebastian had always been perfectly stable on his feet. His eyelids were heavy, the rising dust making his eyes water as he did his best to focus on Shaun’s raspy voice.

“This is a kitchen garden,” he explained. “What’s produced on the farm is mainly for my own use, but I also sell some products on the market on weekends.”

“What do you produce?” Sebastian asked, genuinely curious.

“Dairy products, some honey, also got a chicken coop, they’re good girls. But then I particularly like to focus on growing my own vegetables. I go fishing every week, there’s streams and rivers everywhere out here. They’re a bit dry at the moment, but winter’s fast approaching.”

“Cool, cool,” Sebastian uttered.

“You know how to fish?”

Sebastian kicked a rock into the bushes. “Can’t say I do.”

“I’ll teach you,” Shaun offered with kind eyes. “It’ll become second nature.”

The wilds extended for miles; there were no neighbors in sight, and it dawned on Sebastian that if Shaun turned out to be a psychopath, he would be utterly screwed.

The rest of the visit lasted most of the afternoon. The sun was slowly inching towards the mountain rims when the stables came into view. They looked beat up but still guarded the dark woods vehemently. The smell of straw and horse shit reached Sebastian’s nose, which caused him to recoil.

“You’ll have to get used to this,” Shaun said. “First thing you’ll do tomorrow morning is clean them up. Then, you’ll help me clear a patch I’ve abandoned for quite a while. It’s got one perk, though,” Shaun marked a dramatic pause.

“What is it?” Sebastian asked.

“It’s got a scenic view of the valley,” Shaun said, smiling with bright, straight teeth. “It’ll take your breath away.”

Sebastian grinned back. “Can’t wait!”

Shaun slapped him on the back, but Sebastian did not budge. “Damn, you’re one powerful fella. So these muscles aren’t just for show.”

At that moment, Shaun squeezed Sebastian’s shoulders firmly before releasing his hold.

“I play football…” Sebastian trailed off. “Played football, gotta be strong for that.”

“Yeah, you’ll get to use them for actual handiwork. Let’s head back now. I’ll cook something while you wash up,” Shaun sniffed him closely, disregarding boundaries. “You stink, boy. I want you squeaky clean when you’re in the house.”

“Yes, sir,” Sebastian replied loudly.

The walk to the house was relatively short considering the distance they had covered. Sebastian kept his distance, enjoying the silence. But his reverie was cut short when Shaun stopped him as he was stepping over the threshold.

“No shoes in the house,” Shaun was smiling, but it didn’t reach his eyes.

It was a command.

Sebastian took off his shoes.

“Socks too,” Shaun continued.

Sebastian took off his socks mechanically.

“You may step in.”

He wondered what would’ve happened if he hadn’t agreed to Shaun’s conditions. Would he have been left to sleep outside?

Shaun showed him to his room, which had an en-suite bathroom.

His own space.

“This is all yours, but I’d prefer you keep it tidy. I don’t want it to be turned into a war zone. I’ll have to step in if you don’t respect that,” Shaun warned.

“Yes, man,” Sebastian bit his lip. “I meant, sir.”

“Relax, I won’t bite.”

“I’m under the impression that you might,” Sebastian chuckled.

“Sometimes I do,” Shaun rubbed his beard, laughing softly. “Now, get in the shower before this place starts reeking like a locker room. I need one too.”

The shower was welcome, and the water went from muddy to clear only after Sebastian had used a sizable amount of soap. His cockhead stood at attention as he scrubbed himself, a perfectly pink crown on a straight shaft nestled in a curly blond bush.

It was average, but his balls hung low, a testament to his masculinity.

He wanked off, days of frustration and anger coming out in long swathes of white cum. He realized his moans were too loud, so he forced them down his throat, his forehead pressed into the shower wall.

“Fuck,” he breathed.

After washing his load down the drain, he dressed in an old pair of joggers and a black t-shirt.

When Sebastian entered the corridor, he was greeted by hunger; something delicious was cooking.

Steaks were sizzling in large pans when he arrived in the kitchen. Shaun was shirtless, his toned body too beautiful to be ignored.

“How was the shower?” Shaun asked suddenly.

Sebastian was startled. “I didn’t mean to barge in. It was great, thanks, I feel so much better.”

“Sit,” Shaun said, placing a healthy slab of meat on a plate he had set on the kitchen’s round table. Then, he added a side of rice, which he covered in a thick, succulent sauce. “I hope you’ll like my cooking, that’s the one thing you won’t have to do here.”

“Thanks,” Sebastian said, gawking.

“Well, don’t wait up, eat!”

Sebastian swallowed his meal in a few minutes and leaned back into his chair with a full belly for the first time in a long time.

“This was… awesome,” Sebastian commented. “Best thing I’ve ever tasted.”

“Might be a bit of a stretch, but thanks,” Shaun replied.

Sebastian washed the dishes religiously once they were done, and after that the two men settled in the living room. Shaun chose a movie, but Sebastian found it hard to focus.

He glanced at Shaun many times before the older man spoke up.

“What is it?”

“Is this it?” Sebastian asked. “You just chill with a total stranger in your house.”

“Oh yeah, that,” Shaun shrugged. “I’ve had many people coming and going, but there’s not much to it, really. I help people out, and they help me out. Nobody stays. I just got used to having random folks around.”

“That’s a bit sad, isn’t it?”

“It’s just life,” Shaun’s voice was flat. “I inherited this farm, and now I take care of it. I tried the big city life, and it wasn’t for me.”

Sebastian sank into the couch, crossing his arms over his muscular chest. “So, you’re gonna stay here until you die?”

“Wow, don’t bury me yet,” Shaun clicked his tongue. “Who knows, I really like this old place.”

“Don’t you feel lonely?”

The bluntness of the question only hit Sebastian after it escaped his mouth.

I shouldn’t have said that. Fuck!

“A bit lonely at times,” he said earnestly. “But I got friends, there’s a town nearby, there’s bars and even a minimart, we even got a cinema. It’s quite lively.”

Shaun put his arm on the backrest behind Sebastian’s head, and the young quarterback felt blood rushing to his ears. The dim lighting, the proximity, the conversation, all created a perfect environment for his mind to wander into the realm of fantasies.

“I-It didn’t seem like much when the bus dropped me off,” Sebastian said shyly, clearing his throat.

“That’s because you don’t know where to look.”

“Well, maybe you could teach me.” His cock twitched, the roughness of the briefs brushing over his circumcised head. He hoped to God Shaun hadn’t noticed.

“It takes patience, so you might have to stay longer than those who came before you.”

Sebastian pulled his leg up and dropped his hands in his lap in an attempt to hide his hardening dick. His host turned back to the TV screen. The movie continued playing dully in front of Sebastian, whose main goal was to conceal his arousal from someone he barely knew.

Goddamnit… He cursed.

He was in a foreign house, getting a boner because another man had nearly touched him. The same man for whom he had crossed half the country because he had been attracted to his profile picture.

If desperation had a name, it would be his.

“I’m gonna go to sleep. I wanna be up and early tomorrow.” Sebastian finally said.

“Good choice,” Shaun replied. “Oh, and the walls are pretty thin here, just so you know.”

Mischief was written all over Shaun’s face, and something else.

Fuck me. Sebastian thought.
