Andrew Mansbridge is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography. He is a freelance photojournalist for Time magazine, National Geographic and The New Yorker. Victor is very proud of his father’s achievements, and has developed a keen interest in photography at an early age. Using his father’s old cameras, he started at age 6 to take pictures of his brother Edward in the basement recreation room, in the swimming pool and in the park. By the end of primary school, Victor had jumped on just about every opportunity to photograph his classmates in sport activities. The teenager’s talent was quickly noticed in high school, his snapshots illustrating every issue of The Students’ Voice. In grade 12, Victor was hired for the yearbook’s official photo sessions.
Encouraged by family and friends, Victor registered at the New York Institute of Photography. Obviously, Andrew Mansbridge was proud to see Victor follow in his footsteps. What the father didn’t know was that his son excelled at taking pictures of naked men. At 18, Victor started to publish photos of peachy hairy asses under a pseudonym. His pics, signed Manpower and well paid, appeared on a regular basis in the All Male and Unzipped porn magazines. On day, when picking up the mail, Mr. Mansbridge accidently opened a brown envelope addressed to Victor and discovered the latest issue of All Male. Jean-Claude is one of Victor’s professors, and a well-known gay photographer. He has exhibited his work on a number of occasions at the Leslie-Lohmann Museum of Art in SoHo, Lower Manhattan, New York City. The gallery mainly collects, preserves and exhibits visual arts created by LGBTQ artists or about LGBTQ+ themes, issues, and people. Victor is an ambitious artist, and dreams of having, one day, an exhibit of his nude male photos at the Leslie-Lohmann Museum of Art.
