“The last of your kind?” Eli asked, linking his fingers with Rhett’s in a gesture of tenderness that should’ve had no reason to happen under their circumstances. After all, Rhett had turned Eli into a pair of holes to fuck.

Still, he wanted to comfort the older student. His decision to become a doctor had roots in the empathy he had always manifested from a young age. If someone was in pain, and he could help, then he would help.

“Yes.” The answer came out clipped, lacking any trace of emotion.

Although he had no idea why he was doing that, Eli pulled Rhett away from the window. Professor Veyr was a bad man and wanted to hurt one of the students. No, it was worse than that. The mysterious biology professor wanted to destroy Rhett, who was the last of his kind, whatever that meant.

Rhett’s elbows rested on his knees, hands clasped so tightly his knuckles had turned white. He didn’t look at Eli. “I’m not… just some guy from out of state, you know.”

Eli said nothing. He had learned a long time ago that silence pulled more out of people than questions.

“My family…” Rhett’s jaw tensed. “What’s left of it, at least, has been in hiding for many years. It went for so long, ever since before I was born. We’ve been hunted. That’s the simple truth. And this hunt led to bloodshed, many times.” He let the words hang there, his eyes searching Eli’s briefly. “And now I’m the last. There’s no one else. No brothers, no cousins. Just me.”

He let out a slow breath. “Veyr is behind it all. He’s the one hunting us.”

Eli’s brow furrowed, but he didn’t interrupt. Rhett was willing to share such terrible truths with him, and he didn’t have it in himself to stop him. Although, he felt as if he’d be better if he didn’t hear anything.

He shook his head. He was neck deep in whatever was happening. Rhett was saying that the professor intended to destroy everyone, which meant that his own survival was at risk, as well.

“You’ve seen him, right? Always dressed in black, always looking at students with his hawk-like eyes. That man…” Rhett stopped as if he needed to muster the courage to say what he was about to say next. “He’s a vampire. And no, not like Dracula or whatever vampires you’ve read about or seen when going to the movies. I’m talking about the real thing. My parents used many other names for him or preferred not to say his name at all as if they were afraid that saying it alone was enough to summon him. He’s been hunting my family for decades, across continents. He killed my father before I turned fifteen.”

Eli swallowed hard. What did he know about Rhett Donovan, anyway? He was a rich kid from a rich family. But he had no parents and no actual family. How come nobody knew these things?

“The fact that they kept his actual name a secret from me – not intentionally, of course, or not with the intention to hurt me – didn’t help. I came here, thinking I was safe. This college is a trove of ancient texts I could use to find a way to save myself. But I didn’t know my enemy was so close. And that he was also searching for a way to obliterate me completely.” His voice had gone low now, steady but cold. “And he won’t stop until I’m gone too. That’s how these things work. If there’s no bloodline left, that means there’s no threat left, either.”

Eli finally decided to speak. He kept his voice gentle as if that was enough to comfort Rhett or solve his problems. “Why you in particular? Why your family?”

For now, he ignored the way his heart beat wildly in his chest. A vampire? A real vampire? Walking around, pretending to be human… Now that Eli thought about it, there had been some strange happenings on the college grounds that included part of the dark dense forest behind the school. Animals found with their throats torn out, hunting parties organized to find a wild beast that could do such damage... since the creatures discovered like that weren’t only small and weak. Did that have anything to do with Professor Veyr? Rhett looked way too serious to be pulling his leg. And since he had an ass leaking cum and a sore throat from taking Rhett’s cock so deep it shouldn’t be humanly possible, Eli was willing to believe a lot more.

Rhett took his sweet time to answer Eli’s question.

“Because I’m not human like you. Even among my kind, I’m, well, let’s say, I’m special.” Rhett met Eli’s eyes, and in that moment, the pale moonlight – still so strong and frightening – caught something almost inhuman in his gaze, a glint of crimson. “I’m… the last lycan prince. It sounds stupid, but it’s true. My family used to rule over ancient lands. Not the kind you’d read about in history or fiction books. I’m talking older. Much older.” Rhett tore his eyes away from Eli’s face, jaw tightening. “And now it’s just me. Sitting here. Waiting for him to find me.”

Eli reached over and rested a hand on Rhett’s arm. His touch was warm and steady. “Well, you’re not waiting alone, though.” He tried to sound light and breezy, to fight off the tension growing in the room with each of Rhett’s confessions.

A humorless huff followed. “Do you even have any idea what you’re saying? After all, you’re nothing but a bitch.”

Eli snorted. “Yeah, right. You know, you don’t scare me if you keep calling me that. I don’t even feel insulted anymore. Isn’t that weird?”

To his surprise, Rhett lifted his head and stared at him. The words seemed to be stuck in his throat. “Are you saying that… you accept it?”

“Accept what? That Professor Veyr is a freaking vampire? Well, it looks like I have to accept that any moment now, you might turn into a feral beast. Given the circumstances, I think it’s not so hard to picture him as a bloodsucking asshole. Now that I think about it, he really does give off that sort of vibe.”

“I wasn’t talking about that,” Rhett said curtly. It looked like he wanted to say something else, but he didn’t know whether to say it out loud or not. “Are you willing to become my bitch?”

Eli shrugged. “You have already turned me into your bitch. So, what is Professor Veyr doing? How did he manage to make everyone turn? I mean, not everyone.”

“The strongest only are of interest to him,” Rhett explained. “Once they all become beasts, mindless beasts, they’ll hunger for my blood. I am strong, but I cannot fight them all off. They will come for me. Veyr knows he can’t defeat me alone. Only when I’m the last, left on the ground to die, he will come for me and he will drink my blood. That will make him truly immortal, because, you see, he has been dying for a while.”

Rhett’s cock rested between his thighs pointing down. Eli’s eyes were drawn to it, over and over. He needed to keep his wits about himself if he wanted to be of any help whatsoever.

“He seems to have miscalculated a bit,” Rhett continued. “With the strongest of the school becoming beasts, wolves, if you must know, or werewolves, he had expected the others to become food until the final moment. But they didn’t become food.”

Eli was smart enough to put two and two together. “They became… bitches?” It was pretty damn absurd to use this word so casually, but it was fitting.

“Lust is more powerful than hunger, and wolves of all sorts need to mate. It is essential for their survival. It beats hunger, because it is more.” Rhett said those words while staring ahead, not at Eli. “I know that you don’t understand that meaning of your words if you accept to become my bitch for life, which is why I’m giving you a way out. Don’t say ‘yes’ to this, Eli. You have no idea what you’re signing up for.”

Eli hesitated. It was obvious that Rhett was struggling with his own words, and the beast inside him most likely demanded that he used any possible means to secure a mate for life. A lycan prince without a kingdom. A vampire wanting to destroy his bloodline forever. All these things were stuff of fairytales. Or nightmares. Yes, more likely nightmares.

“He has no idea whether I found myself a bitch to keep the darkness at bay,” Rhett said. “He suspects that I would look for one, since it’s dictated by my instincts. That means that it’s possible that right now he’s securing one of the students who have turned bitches but don’t have a mate yet so he could lure me out of hiding.”

“If this is his creation, this mess,” Eli said, feeling his throat getting drier by the minute, “then why doesn’t he come for you directly?”

Rhett scoffed. “He’s powerful but, like me, he can’t fight dozens of werewolves going berserk. Also, he’s quite the germophobe, if you can imagine. It’s not unfathomable that he intends to look for me, but he must do so with caution. That is why I can’t return to my room.”

Eli frowned as his mind sought out to see the complete picture. “Will the guys outside become food at some point?” He couldn’t believe his own words but he needed to get them out.

Rhett shook his head slowly. “I have no idea. What I can tell is that securing a bitch makes the turning process slower. But it might not be long until that won’t be enough because how many know what to do to imprint a bitch completely?”

Eli had noticed how Rhett avoided his eyes. It was possible that the lycan prince or whatever he was didn’t want to tell him the whole truth.

“You’re lying to me.”

“I’m not,” Rhett protested.

“Or you’re just leaving things out. Whatever it is, stop it. Tell me everything. If I agree to be your bitch, what’s next?”

Rhett stared at him this time. “You become mine. Forever. You will get knotted every day of your life, and you’ll be nothing but my cock sleeve. You’ll have no agency of your own. Your only purpose in life will be to serve my knot and my cock and my endless lust.”

Eli nodded slowly, although his heart was already beating wildly in his chest. “What about you? Will you live?”

Rhett nodded.

“I see. Will you be strong enough to beat Veyr?”

Another nod confirmed his suspicions.

“Well, for someone who’s known to be pretty bright, it looks to me like you can be pretty stupid.”

Rhett growled low in his chest. “Watch your mouth, bitch.”

Strangely enough, Eli knew no fear as he got closer. “If you don’t make me your bitch, I’ll most likely become food like the rest of the guys who haven’t turned, just like me. And the others will most likely go completely nuts. And die, too. How am I doing so far?”

“There’s still a chance you might just walk out of here a free man,” Rhett insisted.

“Yeah, there’s always a chance no matter what we’re talking about, but it’s a slim chance. Don’t act all noble while your cock is getting hard.”

Rhett stared in horror between his legs. Eli laughed.

“I made you look,” he teased.

Rhett looked at him, his face all a frown. But then it relaxed. “It must be this why I’ve always liked you.”

“What? You liked me? Before seeing me half-naked and spread out to take it?” Eli asked, his eyes growing wide.

Rhett stood abruptly. “Ignore what I said. It isn’t true.”

“Fuck no, I’m not going to ignore it,” Eli said.

Rhett was going to stand by the window again, and Eli didn’t like him there. Were wolves attracted to the moon? He remembered something about it. Only that Rhett wasn’t what humans named a wolf. He was a lycan, and he could very well turn into a werewolf if the moon did as little as look at him the wrong way.

After that happened, who knew if he could still understand Rhett or Rhett him or both? His life was on the line. Rhett was doing the noble thing to let him know. But it didn’t mean that it was the right thing. The way Eli saw things, the entire school might be in need of someone to step up and take one for the team.

In this case, that someone was him. And what he needed to do went against what he thought he wanted only days ago. He would kneel in front of his lycan prince and swallow his cock until the guy decided to imprint him, whatever that meant.

He hugged Rhett from behind. “Do the imprinting thing,” he said softly. “I want to become your bitch for life.”

“Eli, don’t,” Rhett warned him.

“Come on, it’s not like we have a choice. Do lycans get a divorce? Maybe we could do that later if things don’t work out.”

Rhett moved so violently that Eli took a couple of steps back. It was there again: the transformation.

He didn’t even have the time to gasp in terror; Rhett lunged at him and pushed him down to the floor. Saliva was pouring from his mouth, all over Eli’s face.

“Say you want my knot forever, bitch, and I’ll make it happen.”

Eli struggled despite his better judgement, but the moment some of Rhett’s spit landed in his mouth, he slowed down. He opened his legs wide. “Do your worse, you freaking animal,” he said. “I want your knot, and I want to be your bitch. What are you going to do?”

He was braver on the outside than on the inside. Rhett speared him with his cock in one go. It was painful, but blissful, too. Eli had never known such pleasure was possible, right at the border with pain. His ass was stretching while Rhett was fucking him fast, letting out animalistic growls and grunts.

He turned his head and moaned.

And then, he felt the piercing pain in his shoulder, and long fangs going through his skin. It was so painful he thought he might faint. But in his blood, something bloomed, something foreign. The pleasure inside his ass spread all over. And the pain in his shoulder turned into an overwhelming sensation that shot up his spine.
