Hey guys!

So I realised doing different POVs will give everything away so I probably won't do that as much. The juicy stuff is coming soon, hold your horses!

“Whew! We’re finally finished” Rob exclaimed “Did you pack your whole house?” He said sarcastically and sat on my bed

During the time we were unpacking my things, we learned a lot more about each other. He was majoring in sports and physical health (no surprises there), and also apart from football, he played basketball and was also in his high school’s swim team. I told him all about Dan and I’s sexual escapades when we were little and how I, for the life of me, can’t swim. He made fun of me when I told him that. He also told me that he is currently dating some cheerleader in the same college and asked me if I was seeing anyone at the moment which I replied no.

“It wasn’t that much stuff, was it?” I asked as I looked at my stuff neatly placed in their respectable drawers and cabinets “There was only 4 boxes”

“4 boxes with over a million things inside each of them” Rob laughed

“I always considered myself a light packer… Guess not”

“No shit. Well, since we’ve finished packing your whole house up, why don’t we go get something to eat and then I’d give you your tour” Rob stood up and smiled. Fuck that amazing smile of his “It’s only 5:45 so we can take our time”

“Sounds good” I agreed “Let me take a shower first”

“Alright, I’ll follow after you”

It would have been better if he asked to join me but oh well, I smirked to myself as I headed towards the bathroom.

After we both finished showering, we got dressed and headed to wherever place Rob wanted to eat at. I never saw a food court when I arrived here yesterday but then again I was half asleep.

We hopped inside the elevator and headed for the lobby. Silence filled the room but it was a comfortable silence, no tension whatsoever. Until he broke it.

“You never told me what you wanted to do in life” Rob pointed out

“That’s because I don’t know yet. That’s why I came here to find out what I’m good and bad at” I replied to him honestly “I don’t think I would even find something I’m interested in, that I can put all my time and effort in  and be worth it by the end”

“You really shouldn’t think about that right now, this is your first and a half day for crying out loud” he ruffled my hair “you’re in college now, make the most out of it, you have plenty of time to think about what you wanna do”

I never thought someone like him could give advice like that, then again you should never judge a book by it’s cover.

Ting!

By the end of our conversation, the elevator door slid open to our stop and we both got out. I looked around and saw people were already up… Kind of. Students were lazily walking towards the indoor café and grabbing their morning coffee, other students can be seen struggling not to fall asleep while studying. This is the reality of college, tired and stressed out adults who are oh so far away from being adults.

“So, where’re we headed?” I asked Rob

“Jeremy’s, it’s just across the road from here” He replied “It’s a great breakfast and lunch place, my pals and I go there all the time” He smiled

“Lead the way” I nodded

When we got there and went inside, I was immediately hit by a beautiful aroma of eggs, bacon, sausages and pastry, I was drooling. We sat on a table beside the window that had a clear view of the front of the massive college.

“What can I get for you guys?” A man, who was probably 16-17 years asked us, holding a pen and a notepad

“Just the usual Adam” Rob replied. He wasn’t lying when he said he goes here all the time, he even knows the waiter’s name.

“One bacon and egg omelette” He mumbled to himself as he wrote on his notepad then looked at me “And for you, sir?”

“Same thing he’s having” I replied. What do you expect? I don’t know what else to buy and they don’t have a menu here.

“Right, your food will be ready in about 5 minutes guys” He walked off

After Adam walked off, Rob reached into his pocket and retrieved his and started to text someone. I left my phone in my dorm so I just sat there looking through the window. Since it’s still pretty early in the morning, there were not much cars on the road. I yawned and patiently waited for our food.

“You doing anything tonight?” Rob asked out of the blue, still on his phone

“Not that I’m aware of” I replied, still looking through the window “Why?”

“Well, my buddy and a couple of other friends are having a party in the fraternity behind the college, where he lives” Rob replied “You wanna come? The whole campus’ll  be there”

“Sounds fun, when is it?” I asked. My first college party, I’m pretty excited.

“Starts at about  5and goes on for the rest the day” He replied, looking up at me now, I turned to face him “Do you drink?”

“Well when I was 14 I had a little taste of dad’s beer when he wasn’t looking” I replied “Never had a full can or bottle though”

“You don’t have to drink if you don’t want to” He reassured

“Yea, I’m not really planning on getting drunk and waking up with blood on my hands just yet” I said sarcastically, Rob Laughed

After a few more minutes, our food arrived and we quickly scoffed it down. He was as starved as me.

After finishing and we payed for our meals and made our way back to campus.

“That was great, I should come here everyday” I sighed in satisfaction as we walked towards the college

“What did I tell you, huh?” Rob said proudly “Anyway, I promised you a tour”

“Right” I simply replied

“And this is our very own outdoor swimming pool” Rob told me, gesturing his hand around the pool “This is usually used by students to relax and wind down but the local hospital uses this for hydrotherapy until their own pool is built”

So far, Rob showed me the massive library where most students do their studying at, the indoor gym where students can come inside and use the equipment anytime they want, free of charge, the fraternity where the party was going to be held, his friends were already setting it up and they were, ahem, pretty nice looking.

There was one guy that I caught myself staring at the most, his name was Tyler and he was Rob’s best friend. He had short, wavy black hair that went well with his stunning hazel eyes, god damn those eyes were perfect. He also had a 5 o clock shadow that ran across his powerful jaw. He was wearing a grey tee but I knew he worked out.  He was every gay man’s dream.

He also showed me the sorority where his girlfriend lives and just about every notable places around campus. It was about 10:25 when we got to the pool and by that time, everyone in campus were fully awake.

I nodded in understanding.

“Well that’s the end of our little tour” His smile was still as gorgeous as ever “What do you plan on doing now?”

“Well, I was thinking of walking around campus meeting new people, make some friends” I answered

“Good idea, I’m sure you’ll have no problem finding some friends” Rob rested his hand on my shoulder, we made eye contact.

His grip suddenly grew tighter, never breaking eye contact. What is happening right now? I asked myself. I felt the tension thickening.

“I never told you how amazing you looked” He said and smiled, soon breaking eye contact but still facing me “I’m sure a lot of men would be lucky to have you” He let go of my shoulder

“Uhhh… Thanks…” I said in confusion “Where is this coming from?”

“Just a man appreciating another man, Al” He said like it was the most obvious thing in the world and shifted his gaze towards the pool

“Oh, right” I said, still a bit confused. It felt like hours before I started to speak again “Uh, well, I should be going now, see ya back in the dorm” I said, not waiting for him to say anything and walked away. God that was fucking confusing.

I was sat on one of the bean bags inside the library, thinking about what happened an hour ago. I didn’t feel like walking around campus, talking to other people. I just wanted to relax and think. I couldn’t get the confusion and awkwardness of what happened out of my head, what the hell was that all about? Even if it was just “a man complimenting another man” as he put it, it didn’t feel like that all, his eyes and his tight grip told a completely different story. He isn’t… No, no don’t get ahead of yourself there Al, he has a girlfriend and as straight as anyone could be. He can’t be gay.

I put my hands on my face and sunk lower in the bean bag.

“You okay there, bud?” A guy with a deep sexy voice asked me. His voice was familiar but I don’t remember where I heard it. I heard him sit on the other bean bag across me.

“Yea, I’m okay, who’s asking?” I asked the man, face still covered with my hands

“Tyler, we met before” He answered. I took my hands off my face.

“Oh, hey. What are you doing here?” I asked him

“I could ask you the same thing” He chuckled

“I came here to think about something” I replied honestly “you?”

“Well, we finished setting up for the party so we decided to invite people for the party. I came here then I found you" He smiled at me. His smile was so infectious I ended up smiling with him “So, if it’s not too personal, what were you thinking about?” Crap, I was hoping he wouldn’t ask me that.

“Ah, well… Uh… I was just…” I tried to come up with an excuse, I’m not ready to talk about it to anyone just yet “I was just thinking of home, you know? I guess I’m a bit homesick, that’s all” I could tell just by looking at Tyler that he didn’t buy it but he didn’t push that question further, which I appreciated

“Well, it happens to every freshman” He smiles at me “Don’t let it get you down, just make the most out of your time here” he said the same thing as Rob

“Anyway, you’re coming to the party, right?” He changed the subject

“Of course I am, can’t miss my first college party” I smiled at him

“That’s good to hear, it’ll be fun, trust me” He smiled as he stood up “Well, I got to go spread the word, nice talking to you”

“See ya at the party” I waved him off as he began to walk away

“Likewise”
