I apologize for the long delay.  The story took a different turn, and I had to rewrite this chapter and change a few things in the next chapter.  Hope you enjoy the read.

Several violent lightning bolts crossed the sky outside dorm room 321 followed by thunderous booms that shook the building.  Lights throughout the building flickered with the interruption in electrical service.  Naked under the covers, Aaron and Chad were focused on intense kissing and fondling.  Neither stopped in response to the building storm.

Chad squeezed slightly on Aaron’s rock-hard erection and whispered, “I didn’t bring any condoms.  I wasn’t expecting things to go this far.”

“I have some in a pouch in my dresser,” Aaron replied.  “I used to keep some under my pillow for late-night jerking off.  You know, to keep from getting a mess in the bed.”

“Put one on.”

“Let me go get it.  Then you put it on for me.”   Aaron quickly moved to the dresser and opened the top drawer.  Pushing the pajamas that he never wore to the side, he realized the zippered pouch was not there.  “Shit,” he muttered under his breath as he remembered Shane’s emptying the condoms into the trash.

“Let’s get rid of these and remove the temptation,” Shane had said as he tossed the new package of six rubbers into the trash.

“What’s wrong?” asked Chad.

“I’d forgotten,” said Aaron.  “The last guy I dated threw them all away to help us remain chaste.”

Chad pulled his legs up and sat with his arms wrapped around them.  “Well that was a waste, but it’s OK.  Shit happens, right?  I should probably go back to my room anyway.”

“You don’t want to spend the night?” asked Aaron, his voice brimmed with disappointment.

“I hadn’t planned on it.  Actually, I originally thought that we would just talk, and then I realized during dinner that we’d have a great make-out session.  I certainly didn’t expect to go this far.”  Chad hopped up and kissed Aaron on the cheek.

“I’ll buy a big box for tomorrow,” Aaron told him.

Chad said nothing as he dressed.  He sat down on the bed to tie his shoes.  Aaron sensing something was amiss sat next to him.  “Are you OK with what we did?”

“Yeah.”  Chad paused for a moment.  “To be honest, you know, Aaron, I find you attractive, but I’m not in love with you.”

“I didn’t think you would be.”  Aaron chuckled.  “Not this soon, anyway.  We have to get to know one another better.  Right now, it’s just a mutual attraction.”

Chad turned to gaze out the window as another flash of lightning stretched across the sky.

“It’s not a mutual attraction, is it?” Aaron asked as he stood up and took a few steps away.

Chad continued to look away.  “I always thought I would know the guy I wanted to be with forever the very first time I kissed him.  You’re not that guy.”

“Well,” stammered Aaron.  “We can still be good friends.”

“The thing is… I’m really attracted to Dirk, and he pissed me off royally at dinner, but while you were sucking me, I wanted it to be Dirk.  I’m sorry.”

Aaron bit his lower lip slightly as he realized that Chad didn’t even want to be a sex buddy.  “I guess it’s nice that I helped you come to that realization.”

“I know that Dirk’s an asshole, and he’s got a girlfriend.  But like you said, he’s gay, and sooner or later he’ll have to admit it.  When he does, I want to be there for him.  It’s a good thing that you don’t have any condoms because it stopped us, and I was able to come to my senses.”

“You know, I meant that there’s a good chance that he’s gay and just denying it.  He protests too much, as they say.”

“Yeah, I know, but I have to give my heart a chance and give him one to be honest with himself.”

“Then, good luck.”

“Thanks for understanding,” said Chad as he walked to the door.

Aaron remained on the bed until the door closed behind Chad, then he got to his feet and locked it.   At the window, Aaron gazed out through a blur of misty eyes and rain-streaked glass.  “He’d rather be with the piece of shit than with me.  What’s wrong with me that he doesn’t even want to give it a chance?”

With a deep sigh, he stepped over to his desk and clicked on the desk lamp.  Light flooded the folder containing the acceptance letter from Warren State University.  Aaron grabbed a sheet of paper and muttered, “That man needs to get a cell phone.”  He began to write his grandfather a letter.

Dear Gramps,

I am struggling emotionally to get through the rest of this semester.  I know you told me that things might be difficult for me, and you were right.  But you also said that I could get through it, and so far I have.  I’m not sure I could have if you weren’t so supportive.  I just want to remind you that I love you.

Academically, everything is coming easily, and I am still making good grades.  I am looking forward to the summer and seeing you and Grandma again.  I’d like to spend the summer with you.  There are a lot of things around the house that still need to be done, and you know that I am more than willing to either do them or help you with them.  I got my acceptance letter to start my sophomore year at WSU.  I know that you think that I need to spend my first year at the university on campus, so I will not beg you to let me stay with you during the fall and spring semesters.  But my junior year… be ready, ha ha.

Can’t wait to see you.

Love, Aaron.

Aaron placed the letter in an envelope and decided to forego getting dressed and placing it in the mail at that moment.  Instead, he put on some underwear and pulled down his English notebook to begin working on a paper for his literature class.

Two days later, Aaron saw Chad in the dining hall.  He noticed how Chad looked down at the ground and changed direction when they approached one another.  Aaron wondered whether he had misunderstood the action.  Or, was Chad avoiding him?  Aaron purposely followed Chad to a table and sat across from him.  He immediately noticed Chad’s bruised eye.

“What happened?” asked Aaron without any sympathy in his voice.

“I went down to my room.  Dirk was there.  I told him that I suspected that he was gay and that he only had a girlfriend to fool everyone.  I told him that I would suck his dick any time he wanted.  His face changed when I said that.  He told me that he didn’t have a girlfriend.  That it was a lie.  I told him that he could fuck me if he had a condom.  He told me that he had wanted to fuck me from the first time he met me and that he was sorry for being so mean to me.”  Chad stopped and looked down at his plate of food.

“And?”

“And what?”

Aaron leaned forward.  “You didn’t get a black eye from telling someone that you want him to fuck you.”

“Yeah?  Well maybe he fucked me and it got rough.”

“Tell me the truth.”

Aaron saw increased moisture at the margin of Chad’s lower eyelids.    “Alright, so he fucked me, and it was great.  But when he was done, he got angry.  He was pissed that he’d told me.  He said it was my fault and that he wasn’t really gay, he was just horny.  He said a lot of shit, mostly lies and denial.  At one point, he slapped me.”

“And what are you going to do now?” asked Aaron.

“I love him,” said Chad.  “He said he was sorry.  He said that things happened too fast.  He asked me to give him another chance.”

“Another chance to kill you?”

“It’s not like that,” argued Chad.

“The hell it’s not.  It’s called domestic abuse.  It’s called gay hate.  He hates himself because he’s gay, and he took it out on you.  You need to get away from him.”

“I can’t.  He needs me.  I need to help him get through this.”

Aaron got to his feet.  “I won’t be here next semester, but if you need me before the summer starts, just let me know.  I don’t think you know what you’re doing.”

Aaron ate his meal in solitude wondering why anyone would allow himself to be treated like that.  What kind of trauma must Chad have endured to make him believe that he could still find love with a man who had hit him?  He had no answer within himself, and that night, Aaron struggled to fall asleep.

The semester moved toward its conclusion with Aaron maintaining the same level of abstinence he had at its beginning.  Some nights, he was restless, and other nights he was unable to stay awake.  His grandfather replied to his letter quickly, and Aaron hugged the letter when he read that Aaron was welcome to spend the entire summer.  His grandfather just wanted to know the date of Aaron’s arrival.  A second letter let his grandfather know that Aaron planned to go home first for a night and get the rest of his clothes.

As the final days of the semester drew closer, Aaron focused on his English literature class.  In lieu of a final for that class, Aaron had opted to write a paper on William Faulkner.  He was happy with the paper except for a portion about his early career and was in the library comparing two sources.  The due date for the paper was still a week away, but Aaron put the finishing touches on it and sent it to the professor.  The time on his computer was just eight-thirty, and he wasn’t sure whether to go back to his room or do a little exploring.  With his laptop securely in his backpack, he decided that a quick scan of the computer science section might yield an interesting find.  Aaron headed toward the older part of the library.

The lighting in the shelf area of that wing was poor and contrasted with the better-lit hallway next to the windowless wall.  Aaron grabbed a book from the programming section entitled ‘COBOL Programming Make Easy.’  He opened the book and scanned the table of contents as he moved closer to the stronger light source.  Thumbing to find the page labeled ‘Program Structure’, he moved closer to the narrow passage at the end of the shelves.

“Ron?  Is that you?” called a voice just ahead of him.

“No,” replied Aaron as he peeked into the corridor to see a man sitting on the floor with a a graphic novel in his lap.

“Oh,” replied the man who followed his reply with a gentle laugh.

“I’m so sorry,” said Aaron.  “I didn’t mean to disturb you.”

“You aren’t bothering me.  I was just waiting for someone.”

“Ron?”

The man stood.  He was about Aaron’s height, and Aaron immediately found his dark black eyes drawing him in.  His straight black hair and slightly olive skin added to his attractiveness.

“Yeah.  I was waiting for Ron, but he’s late.  I don’t think he’ll be coming tonight.”

“I’m Aaron, and I was just down here wasting time.”

“I’m Matan, and to be perfectly honest with you, I found this to be a perfect place to meet cute nerds.”  He smiled.  “But you don’t look like a nerd to me.”

“I’ll take that as a compliment.  So you wait here for nerds?  How often do you get lucky?  This hardly looks like a hot cruising spot.”

“You’d be surprised.  I got lucky once.  I was sitting in that exact place when a cute guy, not as cute as you, but he approached me.  I will say that I’m selective, but he was cute, and he was eager.”  Matan chuckled again.  “And he did a really good job.”  He paused for a moment.  “Now that I said that out loud, I think I sound like a slut.”

“No.  Just a horny dude,” Aaron told him.  “And a handsome one.”

“And, as I said, you don’t look like a nerd, but you’re reading a book on COBOL and that’s the epitome of nerdiness.”

Aaron continued to gaze steadfastly into Matan’s eyes.   “So, if I don’t look like a nerd, what do I look like?”

“Let’s see.”  Matan stepped closer to Aaron.  “You look like you could be someone’s boyfriend, maybe even someone’s husband one day.  You look like you’d be a gentleman on a date.  You look like someone who would be gentle in the sack, someone who would make love to his partner instead of fucking him hard and rolling over to snore.  You look like someone who wants a relationship instead of a hookup.”

“Are you psychic?”

Matan smiled.  “No, it’s written all over your face, that’s all.”  He looked down to where he was sitting and picked up his novel.  “You know, I think I’m done here.”  Matan stepped closer to Aaron and ran his index finger from Aaron’s temple to his chin.  “How about going across the street and getting an ice cream cone at McDonald’s?  My treat.”

“Your treat; this sounds like a date,” said Aaron.

“Depends on whether I get a kiss goodnight at the end of it.”  Matan smiled.

“Well, I guess I’m leaving this book on the shelf since I won’t be reading it when I get into bed tonight.  At least, I probably won’t.   Your chances of a kiss are about fifty-fifty at this point.”

Matan swallowed hard.  “Will you let me know how to improve those odds?”  Matan squeezed Aaron’s hand.

Aaron smiled back.  “Just keep doing what you’re doing.”

The two men left the library and filled the other in on his summer and college plans.  Matan planned to move to the University of Texas at Dallas to finish his third and fourth years of study in electrical engineering.  His father, an American, had moved to Israel after college for work and had met his mother there.  He’d been born in Tiberias and moved to the United States when he was ten.

Aaron was fascinated by Matan’s story of coming to Texas and meeting his grandparents for the first time and how he felt that he had a family.  Matan purchased two ice creams and the two headed back across the street to campus.  On the way back to Aaron’s room, he told Matan of his parents’ displeasure at learning that Aaron was a ‘disgusting homosexual’ as Aaron’s father had expressed it, how his grandfather was his sole source of emotional support, and of his plan to spend the summer with his grandparents and attend WSU in the fall.

At the door to Aaron’s room, Matan placed his arm in front of Aaron and brushed his fingers against the number 1 on the room designation plate.  “So, have I earned a kiss?”

“A small one,” replied Aaron with a smile.  He reached up and pulled Matan’s head close to his and brushed their lips together.  Matan made a slight moan and slightly parted his lips.  The kiss became more passionate, and Aaron felt a growing desire to be with Matan.  “I think my horniness is increasing,” he whispered.

“Maybe a little no-strings fun before finals?” Matan asked.

Aaron ran his fingers through Matan’s hair.  “Yeah.  I think that’s just what I need.”

“Let me  run back to my room for a few things, and I’ll come back to help you relieve some stress.”  He smiled.

“Maybe I can help relieve some of yours, too.”

Matan kissed Aaron again.  “I’ll see you in a little bit.”  He turned and hurried down the hall.

Aaron went into his room and realized he was humming.

Matan wished he had his little overnight bag prepped.  He called it an overnight bag, but it was really just a small zipper pouch with a clean pair of underwear, some silicone lubricant, and several packages of condoms.  He’d emptied it last week when checking on the expiration date of the condoms after hearing about a pregnancy scare from a friend of his roommate Greg.  He knew exactly where the pouch was and that it wouldn’t take him but a moment to retrieve the things he wanted to place inside.

The key went easily into the lock, and Matan stood inside his shared room only a moment later.  He was surprised by what he heard, and even more surprised by what he saw.

“That’s right, baby.  Use two fingers.”

Matan stood frozen in place.  His roommate, lying naked on his back with his ass pulled into the air, had issued the command.  Matan was sure the girl with her mouth over his dick and her finger in his ass was Sarah, a girl he had only dated a few times.  She pulled her head up and turned to look at Matan.

Greg had not heard the door open, but when Sarah pulled her finger back, he bent his head forward to look at her and saw Matan gaping at them.

“Here,” said Sarah, looking at Matan.  “You do it.  You’re used to sticking things in guy’s butts, right?  And he really likes it.”

“I, uh…” stammered Matan.

“Go ahead, dude,” said Greg.  “I do like the way it feels, and she’s too timid.

“Besides,” added Sarah, “I’d rather watch while I’m sitting on his face and he’s licking my pussy.”  She stood up.  “Even better.  I want to see you fuck him.”

“Whoa, now,” said Greg.  “I’m not quite ready for that.”

“Oh come on, you just said you wanted two fingers.  Get your clothes off,” said Sarah.

Matan felt dizzy.  “I need to get a condom.”  He was already hard in his underwear.  In Matan’s mind, Greg was the epitome of handsome manliness.  From their first meeting, Matan had fantasized about being with him.

“Fuck, man.  You don’t need a rubber.  I’m on PrEP, and you’re on PrEP.  Sarah’s on the pill, so we’re covered.  Just don’t go too fast.  I’ve never had more than a finger in there.”

Matan kicked off his shoes and pushed his pants and underwear to the floor.  When he stood up, his six and a half inches of hardness jutted straight out from his groins.  A small drop of precum formed at the tip.

“Oh,” gasped Sarah.  “That’s a nice one.  Maybe you should lube it up with a little pussy juice.”  She reached down to spread her labia and give him access.

“The lubricant he has already there will be enough for starters.”  Matan stepped closer to Greg’s ass and placed his cock against the pucker.  He pushed slightly.  Just before Sarah straddled Greg’s chest, Matan was sure he saw Greg wink at him.  He pushed his dick a bit at a time as Greg grunted and moaned.  Sarah squealed in excitement and leaned forward for a closer look.  Matan did his best to ignore her and keep his thoughts on Greg and how his warm tight hole was overstimulating his cock.  ‘Slow and easy,’ thought Matan as he pushed in as far as he could go.

“Fuck him now,” said Sarah as she moved her crotch back and forth over Greg’s nose and mouth.  “Fuck him hard.”

Matan kept the slow steady rhythm of a gentle fuck going.  Greg’s moans were stifled beneath Sarah until Greg pushed her up and over.  “I can’t breathe,” he said.  His arms reached forward and he softly pinched Matan’s nipples.

A growl formed in Matan’s throat.  “I’m getting close, man.”

“Cum on him.  Spray your seed on his dick,” squealed an excited Sarah.

“No,” grunted Greg.  “Come in me, dude.  I want to feel you cum inside me.  Breed me, dude.  Fuckin’ breed me.”

Matan felt himself explode more than once.  He pushed himself inside as far as he could and gave Greg every available drop.  He stood with his erection still pulsing inside Greg’s ass as he heaved deep breaths in and out of his lungs.

Greg moved slightly to sit up, and Matan’s penis slipped from within him.  “I need to clean up,” Greg announced and disappeared into the bathroom.

Sarah gathered her clothes.  “I think he enjoyed that.  Maybe too much.”  She threw her clothes on and walked out.

Matan remained standing, his erection losing its rigidity and drooping toward the floor.  A few drops of ejaculated dripped from the end.  He was unsure of what to do next.

Greg came back into the room with a washcloth scrubbing his face.  “You OK, dude?”

“Yeah.”

Greg scanned the room and then stood close to Matan; their bodies just barely touched.

“Sarah left,” said Matan.

“Who?” asked Greg.

“Sarah.  Isn’t that her name?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”  Greg pulled the washcloth across his lips.  “My mouth is clean.  Want to kiss it?”

Matan bent closer, and Greg  grabbed his head and gave him the wettest, longest, tongue-filled kiss of his life.  Matan grew weak in the knees.

“I think we should get back in bed and kiss some more,” whispered Greg.

Matan spent the rest of the night kissing, snuggling against, and engaged in various acts of sexual intimacy with Greg.

Back in his room, Aaron sat excited for about thirty minutes.  Feelings of rejection and worthlessness filled his thoughts for the next half hour.  Anger took control next, and when he fell asleep, he dreamed of sitting on a boat watching his grandfather trying to catch fish for dinner.  The bobber floated in the water along the surface, and Aaron could feel the warmth of the sun on his face.  Life was serene in his dreams.
