Gaywire was founded two decades ago by Bang Bros, the company who started Bait Bus, one of the original tricked gay sex sites. There are a total of 14 sites here with 1,280 videos covering a variety of niches. Gaywire fell under new management a couple of years ago and we haven't reviewed the site in two years, so it's time to head back and catch up. 

Because the videos come from 14 different gay porn sites, you’ll find a variety of men here. Many of the sites were produced through the last decade, so you’ll find popular gay porn stars of the time. Three of the sites feature Black studs in interracial sex and one of them has massively hung men. Overall, the performers range through their twenties and thirties with athletic to muscular bodies. Here and there you’ll find slim or twink-like guys. The men are a mix of smooth and hairy bodies, and while some are clean-shaven, there are bearded men, as well.

Let's talk about the sites included in the network. Remember Bait Bus? It’s one of the original tricked gay sex sites with unsuspecting straight guys lured into a van by an attractive woman promising him some fun. The newest videos are available in five resolutions including a 4K version; the oldest videos don’t have a 4K version, but are offered in four resolutions up to 1920x1080. The newer videos are good quality, the very oldest are pretty poor, and even though these old scenes have versions as large as 1920x1080, they’re not great to watch - you’re better off playing these on a small screen. If you want downloads, they require a paid upgrade on top of the membership you already purchased.

There's a Websites selection on the navbar that lets you browse the videos by the various studios in the GayWire network. On the Videos page, each listing displays the scene's name, the performers, and the name of the site that produced it and these are all clickable. Also, on each video's episode page, under the description you'll see "Information +" and if you click that, you'll see a selection of category tags, plus "Subsite" that lists the site that produced the scene and clicking that will give you a listing of all that site's videos.

Let's talk about Gay Wire updates. Most of the sites haven't updated for years. Bait Bus has been on and off again over the years. However, they have been producing new scenes since August 2022 and have gone through periods where they have updated weekly, biweekly or monthly – it's pretty haphazard, but it is one of the two sites currently updating.

Let’s talk about some of the things I didn’t like about Gay Wire. There’s a pre-selected offer on the billing page in a dropdown menu at the top of the page. You’re able to opt out of it easily by  selecting "No thanks, I'm not interested". We initially thought the 7-day membership was a trial, but it's really a full-access, one-week membership option that rebills at $7 every week, so that works out to roughly the same cost as the monthly option, however, months with five weeks will end up costing you a bit more.

Downloads are not included in the membership options. After you log in, you'll pass through an advertising page encouraging you to "Unlock Downloads" which will cost you another $29.99 a month or $99.99 for a year. Are downloads really worth $60 a month? There's also an unchecked offer for another site on this page; read carefully because I have seen this offer pre-checked before. If you're not interested in either offer, click the blue "Continue to Members Area" button.

There's a new Loyalty Program where you'll earn 10 points for every $1 spent. So a $29.99 membership earns you 300 points that can redeemed in their Marketplace store. Honestly, it sounds a little complicated, so you'll have to read through the program's terms and conditions. Even though you have joined Gay Wire, there's a large banner at the top of the hompeage encourage you to get "One Membership for All the Best Studios", this is another come-on to upgrade to a downloadable membership.

While models have profile pages, there are no details about them, the pages simply link to their performances in the network. Picture galleries had already been removed when we last reviewed the site and they have not returned, which is disappointing.

Two last points, the tour claims this is amateur gay porn, but there are so many porn performers in the scenes that this is an exaggerated claim. Also it says you get access to "over 8,000 of the highest quality xxx movies on the web" but this too is a gross exaggeration - there are 1,280 videos. 

Gaywire gets a mixed review from me. On the one hand, there are 14 gay porn sites offering you gay sex in a variety of hot and fun niches from gloryhole action to sex in public places, there are bottoms getting their holes stretched by massive cocks, dudes getting fucked on the massage table, and group sex. And there’s the ever popular Bait Bus with straight guys tricked into having sex with a dude and the brand new Cops Love Cocks. While these are the only two sites updating with one new scene each month, there are 1,280 videos for you to enjoy going back to 2006, and these will likely be new to you.
