Chapter 9

The next day after they woke up Audun and Rafet were making love all over again, and later that day, they parted, and made plans to see each other later that night in his father Enver’s bar restaurant.

In the evening, when Audun went back to the bar. Burak looked him and smiled and said “so you and Rafet are ok and had a good night together I see yes?”

Rafet left running from the house in angry tears, knowing his father was correct in some aspects but certainly not in others, and stayed with best friend Ilhan. A week later he was driven to the airport and they embraced and he got on the plane and flew away and left his homeland.

For a long time, he missed it so much and his family and texted his mother, who text back  But he and his father did not speak for years and time moved on. He and Audun came back and forth to Turkey when they could, staying in Audun’s old apartment avoiding going to his father bar restaurant.

He said “son you are too young to be in this bar where are your parents?”

She knew he would not forgive her and was still so angry, yet sad about the situation.

Later on that night Orhun asked his baba’s if they could go to nearby restaurant and they agreed and  he appeared a bit nervous and Audun picked up on this but said nothing. When they arrived they were lead to a big table with twenty spaces, and they were seated at it and Rafet said “this is bit big are we on the wrong table guys?”

Orhun replied “no baba we are not please sit down” and he sat next to him and took his hand and Rafet looked at Audun and mouthed “what is going on?”

His husband mouthed back “I don’t know” as they were all seated and a few moments later in walked Enver and the rest of the family.

Rafet looked was stunned. He looked at his father who looked at him and he got up and embraced him tightly and both started weeping.

And that’s how Rafet and his father Enver started to rebuild their relationship and this is where we will leave them all!
