Well I have to admit that when I first came across this site I thought it was just going to be about guys jerking off by themselves. So I'm guessing the name Wank Vids is talking about what you're supposed to be doing while watching, and not what goes on in the scenes! The free tour page shows some of the different action you'll see inside so you know it's not all solo masturbation stuff. If you're in to twinks, orgies, and gloryhole action then read on because this site has plenty of that, it's not hard to see what the owner of this site likes to see. I can't say I blame him either... most of this stuff is great!
The main page of the member's area starts out just the same as most sites. The latest news is listed at the top of the page along with upcoming updates and the most recent pics and videos as you scroll down. In the top right corner of the page there is a menu that points the way to the archives and bonus content; towards the bottom of the page you can see which bonus sites you get access to and check out the high definition video theatres.
Up until this point everything looks fairly well designed but I found that navigating around the picture and video archives wasn't very easy at all. For a start, there is no search feature or even a numbered list of pages so you have to browse page by page through each category. Each picture and video set as been duplicated in to more than one category as well so that just makes it harder to find new stuff sometimes.
There is a bit of everything in the pictures and videos here at Wank Vids. Many categories are available with an average of about 80 scenes in each; these go from extreme rough sex and fisting, to uniforms, group sex, twinks, leather, and just about anything else you can think of. A lot of the content is in the group sex and twink categories so that's a bonus for anyone looking for that. Some of the other scenes you'll see here include flexible guys sucking themselves off and virgin ass getting punished... so the variety is definitely good here. Also worth a mention are the Latino, black, and interracial categories which are sadly missing from most sites I have seen!
OK, to be honest the video quality at Wank Vids is average, but just this week they have promised to improve on that and to start using HD quality scenes. So only time will tell if that comes true but for now the size of the archives can easily make up for the average quality videos. That's just my opinion though; if you're someone who can't handle anything but the best quality then you won't want to stay around this site for long. To be specific the Flash streaming is 482x366 in size, and the downloadable MPEG videos are similar in size at 480x360. There are over 500 videos in total and all can be downloaded but not all of them can be streamed.
The pictures here were a surprise to me because they're actually very good quality, with some pics as large as 1300x2000. And size does matter! I have to say that not all of the galleries have pictures that large but a majority of them have good high quality images. Wank Vids has more pictures than videos by far; there are at least 1,500 photo galleries online at the moment with more added each week. Sometimes you get as little as 25 pictures in a set but on average there are about 150, with over 300 in some sets.
As for the bonus content on offer at Wank Vids there are some very nice looking HD streaming video theatres such as Monster Euro Meat and Raunchy Home Movies. These have about 50 scenes each in great quality. You also get another 24 streaming video theatres of average quality plus access to 6 full gay paysites. So along with all of this bonus stuff and the large archive of content at Wank Vids itself. I think there is more than enough content here to make it worth the price.
