GayDemon's review of Gay Life Network

Today we're taking a look at a site called Gay Life Network. With a name like this, you might expect a mainstream gay site or something with lots of interaction, but the tour shows horny college aged guys - a mix of twinks and jocks - fucking, jerking, rimming and sucking cock, and all the episodes shown are hardcore. There seems to be a good variety of types of models and action, and also a variety of locations. The site doesn't make any claims or tell much about what to expect in the member area when it comes to video formats, update schedule or how much content is inside, but it does let us know that members get access to 3 exclusive bonus sites.

The member home page links are at the very top of the page. below is a welcome, site news, recent updates and episodes coming soon. There's also a bunch of ads, but they're all at the bottom of the page and listed under Extras. One of the first things I noticed is that the updates are not just for this site but for the entire network, and the same is true on the Latest Updates page. In fact, none of the most recent updates listed on the member home page are for Gay Life Network, but don't worry - this site does update between every 1 and 5 days. The site currently offers members 27 updates, 23 of which include both pics and videos and 4 of which are pics-only.

Each video is offered as a full scene in both WMV and MP4 formats. The WMVs are the bigger videos, shown at 720x480 with a bitrate of 1.38 Mbps, and are what I'd call average qualtiy - they look fairly good at their original size, but could be a little clearer, and they do lose a little quality at full screen, but are still pretty watchable. The MP4s are shown at either 320x240 with a bitrate of just under 70k to around 94k. These actually look much better than the bitrate might lead you to believe - I was surprised they weren't 500k or so. Each video is also offered in clips in your choice of streaming or downloadable clips. All videos can be downloaded and no DRM is used.

Each video update comes with a set of pics that are vidcaps, which are pictures pulled from the video rather than shot with a digital camera. These vidcaps are average vidcap quality, which means there's blurring and lack of clarity but no major issues - you can always make out the action, so they make a great way to preview the videos. The 4 pics-only updates are different than the other pic sets - they're digital stills shown at 666x1024 and are average porn quality. All pic sets can be downloaded in a zip file or enjoyed as a hands-free slideshow.

Gay Life Network members get access to 3 bonus sites in the same network - Teach Twinks, Beddable Boys and Best Bareback - and 5 straight sites, plus 4 gay feeds and 9 straight feeds. I'd say the gay bonus sites add value for members since they not only use the same type of guys but sometimes the same models appear in both Gay Life Network and one or more of the other sites.

I found a couple issues you might want to know about. First off, the first site listed in both the gay and straight sections of the Video Feeds page isn't a feed - it's a link to pay per view. Also the extras page has no extras - it's all ads.

• Site could use some growth
• Trial memberships may give limited access to the site
• Some ads appear to be links to bonus content
