To Bond with an Alpha
Ryder’s wolf took delight in leaving small bite marks along Danny’s back, this time playful without going too deep, barely grazing the skin. His mate trembled, waiting to be mounted, offering his lovely body without saying a word or protest in any way. Danny had called him his alpha, surrendering completely.
The sight of Danny’s behind was enough for Ryder to want to rip his jeans off, as well. But now that he had marked his mate, he was no longer in such a hurry and he could take his time to make Danny experience nothing but absolute pleasure.
He removed his clothes and parted Danny’s legs to fit between them. Although his mate appeared easy to embarrass, he seemed to have let go of his shame now. He was pushing his ass up, begging through soft noises to be taken. Ryder grabbed hold of Danny’s shapely buttocks and pulled them apart. The pink hole appeared so tiny in his eyes. Yes, Danny had handled his large manhood before, but the protectiveness he felt toward his mate didn’t allow him to rush in. He inched closer and stuck out his tongue. The pink hole trembled at being invaded.
“Ryder,” Danny whispered softly in alarm.
“Hush, my mate,” Ryder growled playfully. “I must prepare you for the size of a true alpha.”
“Do you mean, you can get even bigger?” Danny breathed out. He no longer seemed alarmed, but excited.
“We are bonded now. Your pleasure is mine, my beautiful mate.”
His manhood was indeed growing bigger and harder as Ryder took delight in licking and getting Danny’s entrance wet. Danny reacted to every little thing he did, in synch with Ryder’s soaring desire.
“Hurry, Ryder,” Danny hurried him. “I can’t take it any longer.” He proceeded to pull at his own buttocks, pressing his hole against Ryder’s hungry tongue.
It looked like there was only so much they could postpone their mating. Under the influence of their recent bond, their need for each other was only growing stronger. Ryder still looked a bit worriedly at his engorged manhood. As if that part of him knew by itself the delight that waited for him once it penetrated the still small and vulnerable hole before it, it leaked copious amounts of clear liquid.
“Ryder,” Danny called out in an urgent voice. “Please.”
An alpha could only ignore the call of his mate for so long. Ryder pressed the head of his cock against Danny’s entrance, slowly pushing in. Danny began moaning and tried to desperately push himself onto the manhood penetrating him. He was eager, willing, and no longer able to wait. He desired to be mounted, and his alpha mate had to comply.
“Take me, Ryder,” Danny continued to plead. “Please, take me hard.”
Ryder grunted as his wolf growled inside him. He wrapped one arm around Danny’s chest, pulling him upward. His mate arched his back beautifully, enjoying the manhandling. Ryder closed his lips over Danny’s mouth, sucking hard at his lips, his tongue, then his jawline and neck. Danny sounded like he was possessed, and possessed he was indeed. Ryder felt the pleasure of claiming his mate overwhelming everything he would normally call common sense.
He pushed in so hard it was a wonder his human mate didn’t break in two. Danny only moaned louder, speaking lewd words that only added fuel to the pyre burning between their bodies, now slick with sweat.
“Yes, Ryder, you’re so big… inside me… fill me with your cum…”
Humans tended to be quite foul-mouthed, as Ryder had become aware of a while ago, but in Danny’s mouth each word made sense. He growled his overwhelming desire to possess his mate completely. His manhood was beginning to swell, making him feel his power growing. He held Danny with both his arms now, protecting him although he was the one wrecking him because he couldn’t help it.
“When will you give it to me?” Danny asked in a cute and anxious voice. “I want to be filled by you so badly…”
Ryder slid one hand lower and searched for Danny’s cock. The human organ was properly swollen as well, and just like Ryder’s, it was leaking. He began rubbing it slowly, enjoying each of Danny’s breathless whispers that turned into pleas first, then into demands, and in the end into threats.
Danny had one hand in Ryder’s hair, pulling at it. Ryder reveled in this side of his mate. It made him feel desired as much as he desired the human before him.
“I love you, Ryder,” Danny said fiercely. “I’m yours completely. Please, own me completely.”
As much as he enjoyed prolonging their desire, Ryder could no longer hold it in. He growled in Danny’s ear, biting it as he increased the speed with which he was rubbing Danny’s manhood.
“We must go together, my mate,” he warned Danny, as he moved desperately toward their inevitable climax.
“Yes, together, yes,” Danny confirmed, pushing back and helping Ryder get deeper inside him, ruining his tiny hole and wanting more.
Ryder enjoyed Danny’s keen and loud declaration of his release, but only for a few moments. To honor his promise, he allowed himself the final pleasure. As his manhood spurted inside his mate, he held Danny’s lower belly, picturing what happened there, how his seed flooded his chosen’s insides, making him his completely.

So this was bonding, Danny thought, as Ryder slowly pulled away, making him feel something warm and sticky pouring out of him. Of course, he knew what that was, but it didn’t mean that his cheeks weren’t in flames again. How shameless he had been when asking Ryder to possess him! All his life, he had been this nice person who was always polite and never did anything to inconvenience others, yet, with Ryder, during their mating bond, he had behaved and talked like he’d worked all his life as an erotic chatbot.
What would Ryder think of him now? The alpha wolfshifter had fallen in love with someone sweet and kind, not with someone who had the vocabulary of someone selling adult content on specialized sites.
He covered his face and kept it hidden, even as Ryder peppered his back and shoulders with small kisses, focusing on the bond mark, which still throbbed lightly. Now that he was no longer under the effect of intense pleasure, Danny could feel it, but he welcomed the pain. Once he was alone, he’d look at it in the mirror, admiring it in secret.
“My mate, you are exquisite,” Ryder whispered in his ear. “I want to kiss you. Why are you keeping your face hidden?”
“I’m ashamed,” Danny grumbled, without removing his hands. “What I said to you… how I said it…”
Ryder chuckled and captured Danny’s wrists, pulling his hands away from his face. He still kept his eyes closed, hoping Ryder wouldn’t judge him for his behavior. Bonding or not, such slipups were—
“You were perfect. You fueled my fire with your words. I am surprised that you are so shy. I thought humans didn’t beat around the bush.”
Danny opened his eyes. “Have you been with many humans?”
Ryder grinned. “Are you jealous, my mate?”
Danny huffed and looked away. “What if I am?” he asked.
“If you are, that is good,” Ryder said and coaxed him into a long, satiated kiss.
That was enough to offer him the reassurance he needed. “Wait,” he said, looking around, “my clothes!”
Ryder smiled sheepishly. “I will go bring you something to wear.”
“Do I have to wait for you here, alone? In the woods?” Danny asked, looking around with unhidden worry.
“This place is special. Only I can enter it. And you, of course.” Ryder caressed his face and kissed him again.
“Oh, okay. What about wild animals? Like wolves?”
Ryder gave him a knowing look. Danny had to laugh at his own silliness.
“Right,” he said. “Wait, Ryder, what does it mean? This bonding thing? I mean, I did read a few spicy books with werewolves and whatnot, but I thought the authors were just letting their imaginations run away with them.”
“Spicy books? Are there humans who are disclosing our secrets by writing books? And what do you mean by ‘spicy’? They’re not food.”
Danny had to snicker and hide his face again. “Well, not that sort of food, but definitely nutrition for the smut-hungry mind…”
Ryder removed his hands and kissed him again. “I am grateful to those humans, then. You were prepared for our bond.”
“Not really,” Danny said with a small laugh. “But it feels great. Now that we’re bonded,” he asked after a short hesitation, “does it mean we’re married? Will I take your name?”
“I would be honored if you wish to take my name. And we will have a ceremony, although our promise to each other is this.” Ryder took his hands and kissed them.
“Danny Asherman…” It sounded really nice. “Wait, am I forbidden from going back now? To the human world?”
Ryder laughed, annoying him a little. In the city, Ryder had been the proverbial fish out of the water, while here, Danny was the one who needed to learn new rules and how people lived.
“You are not forbidden. We can go there as often as you want. I hope you will grow to love Pinemoor, and that you will not miss the city much.”
Ryder sounded wistful as he said those words. Danny hurried to put his mate’s mind at ease. “Nothing is keeping me there. Now that Vince is part of this life, I really have no reason to be there. It’s polluted, the food is bad, and the water tastes funny.” He hadn’t thought about that much while living in Glasstone, but now that he was here, in the fresh air, he felt like he was truly living for the first time in his life. He couldn’t picture himself having a life anywhere else. “But I do need to tell my employer that I will no longer be working for them.” It wasn’t like him to inconvenience others, and it didn’t sit well with him to leave unfinished business behind in his old life.
“Are you talking about the place where that person with the offensive smell mistreated you?” Ryder asked.
“Yes,” Danny replied. “I know you must think that I should just quit without giving notice, but it would be unfair to the business that hired me.”
Ryder’s face relaxed into a smile. “You are very honorable, my mate. I understand. You wouldn’t be you if you didn’t think about such a thing.”
Danny smiled and rubbed his forehead against Ryder’s chest. “You always think the best of me. I suppose I will have to get used to it.”
“You will,” Ryder said fiercely. “I will always think the best of you.”

Riding on a wolfshifter’s back was a whole new experience, Danny thought, while he held on tightly by grabbing tufts of thick fur and looked around at the forest whizzing past them fast. Although they could’ve asked Theodore to take them to the city by plane, Danny had asked Ryder if they could just move through the woods the same way the wolfshifter had done when traveling to Glasstone the first time.
He wanted to be alone with his mate for a while. Maybe it was selfish of him, separating Ryder from his pack so soon after their short reunion, but the bond growing inside him encouraged him to be possessive, too. Also, because of how fast everything had happened while they were fighting Cassandra and her evildoing, Danny hadn’t had the chance to get used to the wolf part of his mate.
And now, they were riding through the forests stretching out from Pinemoor until they reached close to Glasstone. He was so happy he wanted to shout until his voice got hoarse.
“If you’re tired, tell me,” Ryder said in the deeper, graver voice he only had when in his wolf form.
“I’m not tired at all. It’s so beautiful out here that I don’t think I can fall asleep.”
They left the forest behind to cross a large meadow that stretched for at least a mile before they reached another copse of trees. The moon was hanging above their heads, the only witness to their happiness.
Danny stretched and plastered himself against Ryder’s back. “I never thought in my entire life that I’d have an entire wolf all to myself.”
“And now?” Ryder said. “How does it feel to have an entire wolf all to yourself?”
“It feels amazing,” Danny agreed. “How about we take a break now? When we reach Glasstone tomorrow I don’t want to be sleep-deprived, as much as I’d love to keep on going.”
It was also for another reason. When they stopped under the big fir trees, Danny curled against Ryder’s belly, enjoying how warm his mate felt. “This is the life,” he said with a satisfied sigh. “Will I be with you forever, Ryder?”
“Yes, my mate. I will never leave you,” Ryder assured him. “If my wolf scares you, just say it. As we rest, I will return to my human shape.”
“Are you kidding me?” Danny said with a snort. “I love your wolf.” He rubbed against the soft fur and let out sounds of unadulterated delight.
“I am glad,” Ryder said, resting his head on his front paws.
Danny stretched to reach him and remained there like that. He now understood how Theodore Pembroke could be unhappy even having all the riches the human world could provide. Nothing could prevail against the freedom he felt, the fresh air he breathed, and the safety he experienced lying close to his mate. He could only hope that Theodore too, along with Vince and Jack, would find their place. If they didn’t, they would always be welcome to stay in Pinemoor with them.

Kat glared at him as soon as he walked in. “How was your vacation?” he asked in the usual nasal tone he used whenever he considered the person in front of him a schmuck. Client or colleague, it didn’t matter. Kat suffered from a condition most-likely called ‘unfounded confidence in his own superiority’, and Danny was glad he wouldn’t have to deal with it anymore. Today, he was walking into his old place of employment as a free man.
“Hi Kat, can you please tell the boss I’m here? He’s waiting for me.”
Kat rolled his eyes. He seemed annoyed to be playing secretary, but Danny had told the shop manager over the phone that he would hand in his resignation in person. After that, he had only to cancel the lease on his apartment, which meant that he would have to pay for the broken window, too. Hopefully, the landlord wouldn’t ask too many questions about how that had happened.
“What business do you have with our boss?” Kat asked, enunciating every word with emphasis, to let Danny know he wouldn’t be fooled so easily.
“I’m quitting, so I have to hand in my resignation,” Danny replied calmly.
“Why? Did you find something better?” Kat looked over Danny’s shoulder, at Ryder, who had promised before walking in that he would be on his best behavior. Therefore, he was just looking around, ignoring Kat completely.
“Yes, you could say that,” Danny replied.
“Where?”
Danny sighed. He didn’t want to offer Kat any explanations, but he didn’t want to be rude, either.
“He’s getting married,” Ryder suddenly spoke.
Kat gasped, placing one hand over his chest. “To you?”
“Yes, to me,” Ryder said. His nostrils flared, which meant he still couldn’t stand Kat’s cologne. Danny had asked him if he wanted to wait outside, but his mate couldn’t bear the thought of having him out of his sight for a moment. Of course, when faced with such an argument he hadn’t insisted.
“And? You don’t have to work anymore?” Kat continued his line of questioning. “No offense, but your future husband doesn’t look like he can afford to keep you at home to play the little housewife.”
Danny had to stop Ryder before who knew what happened. Attuned as he was to his mate’s moods, he could tell his alpha husband was getting angrier by the moment.
“Actually, he’s the town supervisor where we’ll be living from now on,” Danny said, “so we’re not pressed for money.” He had no idea how to explain what Ryder was without giving something important away.
“I am the alpha of my pack,” Ryder said, throwing all caution to the wind.
Kat shivered as if he couldn’t stand the craziness he was hearing. “Weirdos,” he said, closing his eyes in imaginary suffering. “Ah, Jeff, you should hear this. Danny here is leaving us because he’s marrying this country bumpkin.” Jeff was just coming from the back, with a sour expression on his face.
“What did you call me, human?” Ryder growled.
Danny pressed one hand on Ryder’s chest. “Don’t get worked up for his sake, please,” he whispered. “He’s not worth it.”
“I heard that!” Kat said in a shrill voice.
“Then please let the manager know I’m here,” Danny said in a cutting voice that he didn’t recognize as his own for a moment.
“I’m not your servant,” Kat said, crossing his arms.
“I’ll let him know,” Jeff said. “Just come along, Danny.”
At least, Jeff looked like he had a modicum of common sense. Danny ignored Kat’s sneer and followed his soon-to-be former colleague.

His mate was too kind. Without saying a word, Ryder seethed while Danny explained his situation to the shop manager. They would soon leave this place behind with its ugly people, but he couldn’t allow such things to happen in his presence.
Danny said his goodbyes and walked toward the door. Ryder took advantage of the fact that his mate had his back to him and couldn’t see what was going on.
“Don’t bother to invite us to that country wedding of yours,” the human named Kat called after them. “Bye, alpha,” he added in a grating voice, cloyingly sweet.
Ryder let his eyes burn and his head to transform slowly, fixing Kat with his famous death stare. The human screamed and fell backward, one hand stretched out to point at Ryder.
“M-m-monster!”
The other human hurried to Kat’s side. “What the hell are you talking about, Kat?”
Ryder switched to his full human shape in an instant.
“He’s a monster!” Kat continued to shout.
The other human shook his head and helped Kat to his feet. “Stop fooling around. Now that Danny doesn’t work here, we have a ton of stuff to do. Don’t leave it all to me, or I’m going to kick your ass.”
They were out in the street when Danny asked. “What was that all about?”
Ryder took Danny’s shoulders in an affectionate embrace. “I just gave him a little scare, showing him my wolf for a moment,” he admitted.
“Really?” Danny asked, looking at him with his beautiful kind eyes.
“Will you scold me?”
“No. You did right.” Danny snickered. “I’m glad you did it, too. Gosh, is it wrong that I feel vindicated because you scared him? He’s going to have nightmares now.”
“You’re caring, Danny. But you shouldn’t care for people that don’t deserve you.”
“You’re right. I won’t,” Danny said. “I have plenty of people to care about now. Starting with you, of course. You’re the most important.”
Ryder hugged his mate tightly, ignoring the stares they were getting from passersby. “As you are the most important to me, as well.”
