The Bait and Reckoning of Agent Cody Dodson

Agent Cody Dodson gathered up his case file that he had been putting together into his brother Ryan’s disappearance, along with his car keys wallet and federal ID.  Cody had gotten some information from a possible source as to have seen his brother and was going to follow it.  However, he thought to himself this Ezra guy that came in to talk with him, set the hairs on the back of his neck standing, but Cody was not sure why be had decided to disregard it because it was the only newest lead he had on his brother and he was grasping at straws with nothing else helping.  As Cody was walking out one of his buddies looked up and said where are you heading?  Cody looked at him and said just want to go check on something in the field, I should be back shortly.  Cody could not use the term case or lead to his friend because Ryan’s disappearance was not an official investigation yet and Cody knew without proof it never would be.  Cody left thru the front and walked to the parking lot where his personal truck was at, he did not want the government vehicle because this was not an actual case and he did not need to answer a lot of questions as to why he was running around on bureau time with bureau equipment when no case was active.  Cody opened his truck and got in and started the engine.  He pulled out from the parking lot heading for Carrolton Fields and hopes that he would get a stronger lead into what happened to Ryan.

Meanwhile across the street, sitting in his truck was Ezra watching to see if Cody would have taken the bait, when he seen Cody come out and get in his truck, he smiled with a slightly evil grin.  He started his truck and gave him a good start to not let Cody know he was being followed by him, and he knew where he was going.  Ezra arrived at Carrolton Fields 45 minutes later and saw Cody’s truck parked outside the fence and pulled up next to it.  Cody was no where to be seen, Ezra figured that he was snooping around the hangers.  Ezra then got out of his truck and put his gun in his shoulder holster under his jacket and a tranquilizer gun in his waistband along with his interrogation kit, a zipper pouch with sodium pentothal, zip ties, handcuffs, small roll of duct Tape and a few other choice items use to extract information into his inside pocket.  Ezra also grabbed his lock picking kit and walked over to Cody’s truck and opened the dual cab truck up to see what he could find, unfortunately he came up empty, until he saw a small gym size duffle bag in the back seat.  Ezra grabbed the duffle bag and opened it up. Inside was a change of clothing, a dirty jock strap and cup, a pair of basketball shorts, a tank top, a pair of running sneakers size 12, a headband and a towel, probably from an earlier workout.  Ezra said nothing but reached in and grabbed the jock strap and held it to his nose and took a deep smell of the masculine scent of Cody.  Ezra had an even more sinister smile on his face now and took the bag and placed it in his truck for keeps.

Cody was looking around all the hangers and went into the last one at the end of the field where a personal jet set inside and no one around, he decided to check out the jet and see what was on board, he knew that if there was any evidence on board he could not legally touch it without a search warrant.  So, as he climbed the stairs into the jet and started looking around the first thing he saw was a giant wood crate in the back of the jet marked fragile.  He went back to it and heard a slight hissing sound from inside, not like what a snake would make but mechanically made.  He proceeded to open the crate and when he did, he saw what looked like a closed coffin, he got the creeps with his hair on the back of his neck standing up.  He slowly reached for the lid only because he was not sure why it was hissing and proceeded to open it.  When he opened it, his mouth dropped and his eyes widened with fear and relief.  Ryan, he called out, however Ryan did not respond he was out cold, Cody proceeded to tap him on his face, but nothing happened.  Cody looked Ryan over and saw the harness he was told about by Ezra with Ryan’s hand padlocked to the sides and the leather face harness over his head with the plug gag in his mouth.  Cody said I git to get you out of here, as he reached into grab Ryan a voice from behind him said I would not do that if I were you.  Cody froze in mid-move and knew that voice.  Cody turned around and there was Ezra standing at the front of the jet with a gun pointed at him.  Cody stopped and was about to grab his weapon when Ezra looked at him and said don’t, just put your hands up.  Cody thought for a split second and chose to do as he was told, if only to protect his brother.  Cody looked at Ezra and asked why all this and the elaborate scheme to come see me at the field office?  Ezra looked at him and said, “I needed to know how much you had” and before you asked, I did not do that to your brother.  Cody looked at him puzzled then who did, that was when he heard another voice say that would be me and a younger looking and very wealthy looking gentleman stepped up into the jet, looking at Agent Cody Dodson.  My name is Paul and Ryan belongs to me now and he is not going anywhere.  Cody got angry and yelled he is a human being and does not belong to anyone.  Paul looked at Cody and said that is where you are so wrong, he then looked at Ezra and said you are correct he does look like Eric.  Paul then told Ezra to take care of him and get the information we needed from him, on that note Ezra pulled the trigger and shot Cody with a tranquilizer dart with enough sedative in it to knock him out for a few hours.  Cody looked down at the dart, reaching for it and pulling it out but not before the sedative had already been released into his body.  Cody barely made it two steps before collapsing in the aisle of the jet unconscious.

Ezra moved toward Cody and reached down with his boot and slowly nudged him with no movement from him, he put his gun away and grabbed Cody under his arms and picked him up placing him in one of the chairs, taking his gun, his ID, federal badge, cellphone, wallet, car keys and anything else he had on him and placed them in a basket next to him on the opposite side of the plane.  Ezra took and pulled Cody’s hands behind the seat and handcuffed them, as well as zip tying his ankles together with a rope running through it and around the bottom of the chair. Once Ezra felt Cody was secure, he picked up his phone and called one of his guys.
