The matter of the letter...

A letter discovered on an archeological dig in ancient Greece in 1912 threw up a lot of questions for historians. How did an English letter reach this depth in previously hidden portions of history? Was it a prophecy? A made up story? A plant? Who were Bastion and Zyren and how did this letter find it's way into homes lost before the English language existed?

Here it is.

"My dear Bastion.

The battle will be won, of that you can be assured. Great wars came and went. Peace existed for a while. Then came the invasion, the oppression, the disaster that surrounded us. But I promise you we can defeat them. Will it be easy? No. Will it be bloodless? Absolutely not. Rome will rise though. We will see the restoration of this great civilisation. You must go and find Dioriel in Athens in times gone by. He needs saving as much as any, albeit for very different reasons. Meet him, bring him to the central point and begin to plan for the rescue. I will meet you when I can. If I can. There are, of course, no guarantees I will ever get out of here. I wish we could leave together and get to the destination safely, but the Time Forces won't allow it. I can't write any more in case this letter falls into the wrong hands, but we will more than resist. We will go back and undo. I will see you in the past, Bastion.

Yours, Zyren."
