As an educator I’ve been invited to attend several professional development events. At times I have been a presenter and on this particular workshop I was there to listen to other presentations and meet like minded educators. When I arrived on Friday afternoon for the weekend I attended the meet and greet orientation. My eye caught a handsome African American gentleman. He was dressed very dapper. Louis and I made small talk with our colleagues and waited for an opportunity to excuse ourselves. Saturday evening was more relaxing. Not just raw lust but a chance to get to know each other and please one another. We discussed our careers, our passion for reading, music and common interest. This evening revealed to me this gentleman was someone I’d like to get to know better. Sunday morning we loaded our vehicles. After we had breakfast we shared a time of reflection and completed a survey to provide feedback.
