It all happened so fast. I smelled the smoke and groggily took off my headphones. I awoke from my slumber instantly. I felt warmth. Flashing lights were visible through my drapes.

I immediately got up and opened my bedroom door. The hallway was filled with smoke. I could barely see, but from memory I made my way to the door. The second I opened it, the warmth and brightness of the flames stopped me dead in my tracks.

“Sir! Sir! Stay right where you are!”

I couldn’t see, but there must have been a firefighter on the flight of stairs that went down to the exit of my apartment building. I stayed where I was and even stepped back a little. I had no idea what to do. I looked back into my apartment and felt a mix of anger, fear and sadness.

“Is there anyone else in your residence Sir?”

Suddenly I started coughing.

“Sir?”

“No… no! Just me!”, I managed to squeeze out.

My cough got worse. I felt the smoke stinging my eyes.

As my eyes started getting used to the smoke and darkness, I saw the firefighter making his way to me. My cough continued to get worse.

“You’re OK, Sir, come with me.”

Feeling the protective gear on my bare skin reminded me that I was in nothing but my underwear. It was hard to care as I felt myself floating down the stairs, the firefighter professionally dodging the flames. Even though I felt such heat, I never got burned.

We finally made it out of the building and I realized I was being carried like a baby. Even though I felt the fresh air and my eyes were feeling better, I continued to cough.

“This is the last one!”, the firefighter yelled out.

He carried me in one go to a paramedic who was waiting for me by an ambulance. He put me down on the back of it, my feet dangling above the floor.

I still coughed as the paramedic, who introduced herself as Yvonne, gave me an oxygen mask.

“Try to breathe slowly”, she said.

I realized the stress had caused me to take short breaths, only increasing my shortness of breath. I noticed the firefighter stayed with me and took off his protective mask and helmet. He was gorgeous. He looked concerned. I found my gaze drifting from Yvonne to the firefighter. He was maybe just short of 6’ (180cm), brown hair, blue eyes and a nice stubble. I felt someone wrapping me in golden tinfoil from behind.

My coughing stopped. Yvonne checked my eyes and wanted me to look her way. I felt myself calming down.

“Your eyes are a little red but you’re going to be OK”, she told me.

She smiled.

“W-what happened?”, I tried to speak, but my voice was hoarse.

Yvonne took my mask off.

“I’m Sean”, I suddenly heard.

The firefighter was still there.

“J-Jackson”, I replied.

“The fire started in apartment 236.”

“Bennie? Is he OK?”

“Yes”, Sean told me as Yvonne handed me a bottle of water, “he was able to escape by himself. He knocked over a candle and the drapes caught fire. He is feeling very distressed right now.”

Bennie was an older man living by himself. Whenever I saw him outside I always checked up on him to make sure he was doing alright. He didn’t have a partner or children. Though one time he very proudly introduced me to his brother who had been visiting from New Jersey.

And suddenly I saw him. Bennie’s tall, slender figure approached behind Sean the firefighter.

“Jackson, a-are you alright?”

“I’m OK, Bennie.”

I could tell he had been crying.

“I am so sorry”, he started.

“It’s OK, come give me a hug.”

I gestured for him to come closer. He whimpered and started crying again as he walked towards me and held me.

The paramedics drove me to my Mom’s house in Norphlet, a ten minute drive from my apartment in El Dorado, Arkansas. My Mom was so emotional at first and then so very relieved. I was not really feeling any emotions yet. It was very slowly sinking in what exactly had happened.

I just couldn’t sleep. My Mom tried to stay awake with me, bringing me more hot tea than I ever wanted. She fell asleep on the sofa by 5:00 AM.

Staying with my Mom after the fire was actually really nice. She took such good care of me, she went with me when I was allowed to check on the damage and she helped me to deal with the insurance stuff. Also, she didn’t judge when I slept late, which she used to do when I was a teenager.

My boss had insisted I take time off when I told her about what had happened. Even though at first I thought I would have enjoyed the distraction of work, I also realized I needed to take time to process what had happened. And when I did need distraction, Mom suggested we bake.

Mom and I had baked cookies together since I was very young. It had been so long ago since I had done this, it was a great idea.

“Why don’t you take a batch and bring them to the fire department? I do believe they are volunteers. And they saved your life!”

They really did. It was a great idea.

In my Mom’s car I drove back down to El Dorado. I knew exactly where to go, there was a Fire Department building about 5 minutes away from my house. Suddenly I pictured the fire fighter’s face in my mind again. What was his name? Sean. I could ask for him specifically. He risked his life to save mine. And, not unimportant, I remembered him to be hot. It would be nice to see him.

I parked my car in the driveway so that it didn’t block any of the exits for the firetrucks. I got out and took the Tupperware with cookies with me. I wandered into the station, passing these big, red firetrucks. In the back I saw a kitchen, a table and some chairs. There was only person. A very hot man with jet black hair and a beard in a tight black T-shirt and jeans. His arms rippled with muscles as he cleaned the table. I suddenly felt a little silly walking into this hypermasculine environment with a Tupperware filled with cookies.

“E-excuse me?”

The man looked up. His eyes were green. They pierced through me.

“Hey, how are you?”

“I’m good, thanks”, I chuckled.

“How can I help you?”

“I-I’m looking for Sean. Does he work here?”

“Sean Trevisani?”

“I don’t know”, I said.

“Did he look Italian?”

“I guess.”

“Yeah, he’s upstairs. How do you know him?”

“He, uhm… well, he saved my life.”

“Really? Hudson Street fire?”

“Yeah!”

This God of a man walked towards me to shake my hand.

“I’m Nick. I was there too.”

“Jackson. Thank you so much for your help.”

“No problem, man!”

Eye contact with this man made my groin stir.

“So, you must have been the hot guy that got out last. Were you in your underwear?”

I didn’t know what to say.

“Sean couldn’t stop talking about you.”

I could feel my face turn red. I looked down. Nick laughed.

“Don’t worry about it, just a harmless joke”, he said.

It didn’t sound like a joke, but if it was, it was one that got my hopes up.

I showed Nick the cookies I had baked. He was very enthusiastic.

“Can I try one? Sean won’t mind.”

He took one bite and his eyes rolled up.

“Soooo good”, he exclaimed.

Nick insisted to give me a tour of the fire station. He showed me the trucks, which was cool enough. Upstairs, he showed me where most of the firefighters were relaxing. They were watching some sort of martial arts match on TV. Sean wasn’t among them. Most of them were older guys, not even close to being as in shape as Nick or Sean. I noticed there was only one woman. When Nick said I was in the Hudson Street fire, they wanted me to tell them exactly how I experienced it.

Once I finished telling my story, Nick asked them where Sean was.

“Oh, he went for a nap like half an hour ago.”

I said goodbye to all the other fire fighters. In the hallway, Nick asked me if he should wake Sean up.

“No, leave it”, I said.

I felt like it would be an invasion of privacy.

Nick left the sleeping quarters out of his tour and just wanted to show the bathroom. When the door swung open, it was immediately clear that someone was there. A fully naked man stood there with his back to us. A muscular back and a curved ass. He didn’t immediately notice we were there.

“Sean!”, Nick yelled out.

Sean turned around in one go, obviously startled. His sculpted chest and flat stomach came into my view. Because of his swift motion, I heard his dick slap against his thigh. A large appendage swung back and forth right in the corner of my eye. I couldn’t stop myself from looking down.

Sean’s cock was massive. Over 9 inches maybe. There was a thickness to it as well. He may have been slightly aroused. My mouth literally fell open. Even if he had tried to cover himself with his hands, there was just no way he could have covered it. He smiled awkwardly. Casually, he took a towel off the rack and wrapped it around himself.

“We have a visitor! Hudson Street, right?”

“Y-Yeah…”, I stuttered.

“Was it Jackson?”

“Yeah!”

He shook my hand, using his other hand to keep the towel around his waist.

“I just wanted to thank you for saving me that night.”

“Oh, that is so nice. You were very brave.”

“He brought cookies!”, Nick said.

I had forgotten Nick was there for just a second.

“Really?”, Sean’s face lit up. “What kind?”

“Chocolate chip.”

“Perfect!”

Sean wanted to talk more and said he would be down in the kitchen soon.

“Well, you certainly got an eyeful!”, Nick said as we walked downstairs.

I chuckled.

“Yeah, that was…. hot.”

It slipped out. For a split second I was embarrassed.

“So you are into him!”, Nick exclaimed happily. “You two should totally go on a date.”

Because I had some more time with just Nick, I had to make sure that he wasn’t kidding.

“I’m telling you man, Sean was really into you.”

“Is he gay?”

“Sean is gay, yeah.”

“I thought you were kidding.”

“He has been talking about you for days! Trust me.”

When Sean did join us in the kitchen, all I could think about was his massive cock. I kept taking quick glances down at his crotch, hoping neither of the guys would notice. Nick did catch me at some point, just winking at me.

Sean loved the cookies and didn’t want to share them with any of the other firefighters. Nick and Sean both wanted to know how I had been since the fire, as it can make for quite traumatic experience. I reassured them that, now, almost a week after the fire, I was doing well.

“It did take a few days to process everything, and I think I was in shock for much of the next day.”

The guys talked about how they had experienced their first fire, and how they weren’t even half as brave during or as mentally stable after. It made me feel really good. I felt like we were friends just chatting away.

And that’s when Nick suggested that Sean and I go out together.

“Come on, just a drink or something!”, he suggested.

I looked at Sean and met his gaze.

“I…. I would like that”, he said, shrugging.

“Cool. Let’s do it!”

To be continued….
