Jack sighed contentedly.  At 24 years of age, he had qualified for his second Olympics and was ready to defend his gold medal for rowing at the forthcoming summer games.

As a rower, Jack was proud of his body.  A tall, powerful beefcake of muscle that made him the envy of most men was matched by a handsome face and mop of blond hair that made him the target of lust for his adoring female fans.  The poster boy of the UK rowing team.

Everything was rosy in the future of Jack.  He was good looking, successful, intelligent and an Oxford graduate.  His rowing a prized asset to his former University.

.........

Karl was 25.  A qualified doctor with a successful career ahead of him.  Wealthy and high achieving.  Karl was very much his own person though.  A man of few friends and little interest in social interaction.  Karl lived alone in his apartment block, close to the city hospital where he worked.

He can't remember now where his plans originated from, or where the fascination started.  But Karl has come to realise that his desires in life are different.  He doesn't want a boyfriend or a companion in life.  He wants something very different.

.........

Jack's parents sat on the sofa opposite him.  The pride they felt for their Olympian son was all-encompassing.  He was an outstanding young man in every way, and they knew his future was destined to be bright.  They were puzzled at his worried demeanour and braced themselves for bad news.

The news - if unexpected - could have been much worse.  Jack informed them solemnly and with importing eyes that he had fallen in love.  That he had met someone who he wanted to marry.  But that this person was a man.

Jack's parents embraced him and reassured him all was well - they were proud of him and his sexuality was his own business.  It made no difference to them and they looked forward to meeting Karl.

..........

Karl smiled as he read Jack's text message.  The pieces were falling into place and Jack would be moving in to his apartment very soon as the next step.  Karl licked his lips in anticipation.

Karl's thoughts turned back to Jack's physical exam.  The athlete had suspected nothing he was sure as Karl had examined his naked body.  He had not anticipated Karl's ability to hypnotise him, and - when he had awoken from his hypnosis - he was unaware that his mind no longer belonged to himself.

Karl asked Jack if he understood the tasks he now needed to complete and Jack had nodded compliantly.  To Jack, the events of the coming weeks would seem normal, and enacted as if of his own free will.

Jack continued to train as normal, with an outwardly normal demeanour to those around him.  However, his admission of his sexuality to friends and family - though challenging - was confusing to himself.  His prior feelings for girls had disappeared.  He felt only a feeling of lust for his own body, and the body of the doctor who had conducted his physical.

His depilation could be explained by his sport, but it was a long procedure to have his whole body denuded of hair, the machine destroying the follicles and making him smooth for life.

He gave notice on his own flat, and started to sell or give away his possessions.  Only essential items remained, ready to take to Karl's apartment.

Jack didn't have the capacity to question why, but he left his apartment as planned and handed in his keys.  His belongings were now in two sports bags and he made his way to Karl's apartment dressed in his training gear as ordered.  He knew that this was his life from now on.  He didn't know what "this" involved.

...............

After dropping his bags in the hallway, Jack sat on a hard backed chair opposite Karl.  Karl lay, legs outstretched, on the sofa and smirked.  His plan had worked entirely.  Jack's mind was vacant and his expression calm and open.  He was about to find out his future.

Karl released Jack from his caged mind.  Jack - deeply confused - stared at Karl in bewilderment.  Remembering for the first time with clarity what he had done over the preceding weeks.  His life packed away, his revelation to his parents, his position here now.  He remembered now his session with the doctor sat in his front of him.  But he didn't understand his own actions and why he was here.  And he wasn't gay.
