Me and Josh had been best friends for as long as I could remember. All through elementary, junior high and started high school. We were inseparable from the age of 4. We got on great with each others families, used to go on holidays together, our dads would take us and our brother's camping. We stayed at each others almost every weekend. We were like brother's and we made a blood pact to that effect no matter what happened we would be best friends for ever. We were both quarterbacks at a similar level growing up, our coach in junior league used to alternate us each week but as we hit high school I had developed a bit quicker than Josh and with only one real quarterback of note at our school I was good enough not only to challenge for the starting position but established as number two and a very handy go to.

Our town had two high school's. Both should have been in the same division however due to violent clashes and the town being divided twice a year at least one was moved the other was moved to a neighbouring division a much harder one. We regularly made state championship however always got knocked out in the early rounds however the other school couldn't even reach the playoffs. Half way through the season when I was just 15 I was 6 ft and starting to developed serious muscles. Josh had started to catch up as well but I had been number 2 since the middle of our first year in high school. Josh for his part wasn't jealous and supported me through good and bad and then it happened. Our senior quarterback blew his knee out which instantly finished his career. With no real alternative I became starting quarterback with Josh as number two. I remember being given the play book and soon learnt all the signals which naturally I shared with Josh. We didn't set the world on fire but I had my favorite go two play the signal was hand up pointing at the sky and moving in a circle. This meant my tight end would dart down center, one wide receiver would go long the other drop short and the tight end would spin in behind. It got a few touchdowns before I dropped it as teams were getting wise. I tried it a few times after some worked other's didn't.

Start of grade 11 me and Josh were 16 I was nervous as it was the first full season as starting quarterback but with Josh's support and encouragement we were 5 and 0. After the fifth game buzzing on a high we went to Josh's house. We instantly knew something was up as my parents were there aswell.
"Sit down boys." Josh's dad said.

The look on there faces painted a gloomy picture. "I have been promoted but have to work over the other side of town. We will be moving." He continued. Me and Josh looked at each other.

"It's cool dad we will still have weekend's and school, I'm happy for you." Josh said.

"Me too Mr McKenzie." I added.

"Look boys we have made a decision and already spoken to Western High they are willing to give Josh a trial as quarterback, god knows they need one and jumped at the chance." He said.

"You did that without speaking to me first dad, I'm happy I don't..........." Josh started but I cut him off.

"No matter what Josh best friends forever. You deserve a chance let's be honest no decent college looks at a number two. We can chat on line, meet at weekends and still be best buds plus it's quite a hike from the other side of town more than 40 blocks. Your good enough to walk straight into the team and who knows we may meet at state championship. I will still be your best friend." I said clearing a lump from my throat. Josh hugged me harder than ever before.

"OK dad let's do this." He said.

The following week they moved but if anything it moved me and Josh closer. We chatted nearly every night about school, girls, football and our weekend plans. Some weekend's I went to his other weekend's he came to mine. For his part Josh was an instant success well defiantly better than what they had in the team but was unable to get them to the playoffs. We did our usual and got knocked out in the first knockout round. The following year we actually made it to the state quaters. I made some of the local news, however Josh made the big splash as they made it to the first knockout round in his first full season starting, first time Western High had for 15 years. He came to watch us lose and was gutted but our school's weren't really the big hitter's. It was a success all round and the locals now developed a master and apprentice story on me and Josh. They had the whole background. We just ignored them and our friendship grew stronger that summer. We entered our final year at high school. Josh was now the perfect specimen 6" 4 muscles everywhere slightly bigger than me.

The master and apprentice story would not go away as both schools looked stronger than ever our miniature town was punching above it's weight. Then I happened we both made the semifinals of the State championship, against each other. We were stoked so much buzz and excitement on the build up master vs apprentice even some nationals commented. We kept reminding ourselves whatever happened best friends for life. Then came a massive change a scout from Florida State would be attending to look at us. This was unexpected pressure and the first sign of a small crack in our relationship started to appear when Josh put on social media. "We are best friends but this is a battle for our future." I didn't respond. Just put it down to Josh playing mind games and it was fine between us the weekend before the game.

Game night came and both teams and crowd were fired up like a powder keg waiting to explode. Josh was in imperious form he dominated his attack and it took every trick I knew just keep up with them I was impressed and happy for him. Just over a minute left and they were at our 25 yard marker 4 points up a touchdown would finish us however it was fourth down so best option was a field goal that way we would have to get a converted touchdown just to force overtime. They had called their final time out. Upon retaking the field I seen my old signal from Josh and raced to my coach who quickly got instruction to our defensive line. I couldn't believe he would do this it was a big mistake. If he nailed it they win, if not we had a chance. Our runner's marked well Josh panicked and got sacked turnover on our 30 yard line we had a chance one minute to get a touchdown. I gave my instructions and took the snap threw 20 yards which was received out wide. First down on the half way line. What happened next was slow motion to me. I was going for two plays but as it turned out it was one of those hail Mary plays you dream about getting in a Superbowl final. I took the snap looked down the center nothing down left nothing as I scanned right I noticed my tight end had got loose and was heading for the end zone I set myself and launched the ball as hard as I could just as I took a tackle. Landing on the ground I seen him catch and race into the end zone.

The commentator went nuts. " Eastern have done, Eastern have done it, oh what did Josh McKenzie do. The master teaches the apprentice the harshest of lessons. Cal is the hero sorry Josh but you should have gone for the field goal. What a game."

We converted the field goal and there was barley enough time to punt off it was over. I was swamped by team mates fans and coaches we were in the final. I looked for Josh but he was no where to be seen. I gave a couple of interviews and was offered an interview from the scout from Florida State. After showering and changing I raced home my parents were over the moon when I told them about the scholarship interview. All I wanted to do was make sure Josh was alright. I went up to my room and rang his phone. "Hey this is Josh you know what to do."

"Josh call me I want to make sure your alright." I left a message.

I waited all night nothing, I was getting worried I was hoping we were going to be OK moving on from this. Surely he couldn't blame me for this, after all they should have had an easy field goal. I didn't hear from him the next day, not that I had much time I was like a hero at my school. I voiced my concerns to my dad but he told me." Josh will come round son, he will realize it was his mistake, he may blame you now but he just needs a few days, it was massive for both of you. It will work itself out."

I heard nothing the next day it wasn't till Saturday late afternoon I got a frantic call from his mum.

"Cal have you seen Josh?." I could hear the worry in her voice.

"Haven't spoke to him since before the game, I have been worried it's the longest we haven't spoke but dad said he needed to cool off. Why, what's up Mrs McKenzie? I asked getting worried myself.

"It hit him hard he's hardly been out his room, he skipped school and now he left this morning and we haven't heard or seen him since. Zack came back today as well."

Now I was really worried, Zack his older brother was a Marine and had been in Afghanistan for the past year there was no way Josh wouldn't be there to welcome him home.

"OK Mrs McKenzie I will go to the quarry and see if he is there." I said.

"Thanks Cal maybe you will get through to him lord knows we tried. Be careful if you do see him he is still wound tight." She warned me.

"I will and I will let you know."

I raced down stairs without saying anything grabbed my bike and set off. The quarry was about two miles but I was possessed and didn't even register pain until I got there. Searching around I couldn't see any sign of Josh until I got to a clearing just back from a ledge and there he was sitting on the end of a picnic bench looking over the stone quarry. He looked in a trance.
"Josh, you OK buddy?" I asked hesitantly.

He turned and just looked at me but it felt like he was looking right through me.

"Your mum's worried mate, Zack's home." Again I was worried. He said nothing.

"I've missed you bro." Mistake number one.

Anger flashed in his eye's. "Like fuck you have, too busy giving interviews and accepting scholarship from Florida State. No you got it well sorted. Off you go and leave me behind."

"Josh your my best friend ever, I will never have a friend like you. You won't be stuck here plenty of colleges will be lucky to have you." I said.

"Really, three have turned me down saying I am a liability when it matters." He was getting more worked up.

"It was one bad call mate, that's all if they can't see that they don't deserve you." I fired at him. Mistake number two. Josh flared up and stood.

"Oh, I guess that's the master giving his final lesson to his apprentice is it, you have no idea how it has been in your shadow, I finally got my chance and you, Mr Perfect, the Master snatched it from me." He was standing toe to toe. I don't know why I said what I said next but he angered me by blaming me for his mistake.

"Don't blame me for your fuck up, you decided not to at least secure over time instead you wanted to be a hero. Trying to use a play on me I perfected you deserved to lose for being an idiot." I screamed at him. It seemed to work, well ease a little tension. He just went quite.

"Nothing has come between us before, Josh let's go to yours and talk." He nodded but as we were about to leave 6 of Western High football team appeared. Now I was worried.

"Well what have we here? You boyfriends making up?" Sebastian, a wide receiver asked.

"Fuck off Seb I ain't in the mood." Josh snapped.

"I don't give a fuck, you ruined our chance of glory and now we find you making out with a rival."

"Fuck off you prick, it was just a bad call and we are friends asshole." I shot at him.

"I would tell your boyfriend to shut up Josh or we may tare him apart." Seb's moved towards me but Josh stepped between us.

"See boys once an Easty always an Easty." Seb's said.

"You know that's not true. I have given all for the last few seasons for us." Josh was getting worked up again and I had a very bad feeling.

"So your just protecting your boyfriend then fag." Seb was taunting Josh.
Josh turned and looked at me and I quickly mouthed the words punch me, thinking that would get them off our backs. Josh read me swung and floored me. It hurt so bad not only cause he was big but also it was the first time any the two of us had been violent towards the other but I told him to do it. It didn't have the designed effect. One of the other lads whispered something in Sebastian's ear.

"So he told you to do that. Same old Josh the apprentice doing what his master tells him. Pathetic if you ask me." Seb started getting Josh angry.

"You will always be in his shadow, the apprentice being taught, never the teacher." Seb was grinning, I gulped as something in Josh's expression changed to evil.

"You want men to teach him a lesson?" Josh asked.

"Your not man enough." Seb said mocking Josh.

"Not man enough yeah, I'll show you." Josh was livid an I was scared with every right to be.

"You four grab him and pin him over the bench. I'll show you man enough."
I was seized two pinned my upper body and arms over the bench the other two spread my legs.

"Please Josh we are best friends don't do this." I pleaded, Mistake number three.

"Yeah Josh be a good apprentice and do as master tells you." Seb said in a childish voice.

I had known Josh most my life, watched him grow and get bigger, I also knew he was massive long and very thick. My ass was virgin, he was going to split me. I felt Josh yank my sweat pants down almost tearing them, I then heard him unbuckle the belt to his jeans. There was nothing I could do I tried screaming for him to stop but nothing. Then I felt a wet warm sensation at my hole, followed by an intense pushing pressure. My hole wouldn't open. "Please Josh it's not to late we can get back from this." My final mistake.

"Yes Josh do as your boyfriend and master tells you." Seb nailed my coffin shut.

I heard an angry grunt from Josh. "I'll show you who's the master." He said through gritted teeth. Then he doubled his efforts at pushing and finally he broke through. I screamed as the pain seared through my entire body. Tears instantly filled my eye's. My heart shattered into a million pieces as my best friend, the person I trusted most in the world to have my back started to rape me. Josh seemed possessed as he brutally smashed himself in and out of me ripping my hole apart. I knew he had done damage. I felt hot liquid run from my hole down the inside of both thighs too much to be precum and the fact he was still furiously fucking me meant he hadn't cum, it had to be blood but it didn't stop him. I was reduced to sobbing uncontrollably as every thrust seemed to get deeper and deeper, each one sent new floods of pain through my body it was relentless. My own cock had gotten very hard because my prostate was under constant attack. It didn't take long for me to cum but Josh kept going. There were some comments when I did cum.

"See the fucker love's it so much he's blown his load." And "Wonder how long he's been waiting for you to do this to him Josh." I couldn't tell who made them as I was a reck , in so much pain, tears were stinging my eyes and my mind was completely numb. None of this seemed to deter Josh from this animalistic brutal assault on my hole. The ordeal lasted for ages I don't know how long but Josh was breathing and panting heavy when his body finally went rigid and his warm seed filled my ass and started spilling out. Sebastian caught some in his hand and smeared it over my face, then said."Come on boys best leave these fags to kiss and make up."

As I was realised I fell to the floor crying my eyes out, I didn't even have the energy to pull my sweat pants up. I just crumpled back against the bench looking through tears at my once best friend who looked still in a daze, not registering what he had done yet. He had backed off a bit his cock was a mixture of cum and blood. I looked up at him.

"WHY?" I shouted.

It seemed to snap him back to reality. He said nothing but the realisation of what he done hit him like a brick. A look of complete horror filled his face once he seen the mess he left me in crumpled on the floor unable to move. Josh's eyes instantly filled with regret and tears.

"What happened to no matter what, best friends for life?" I said through tears.
"Please forgive me." He sobbed. Josh stood shaking and for the second time in a week life went into slow motion as he turned sprinted and threw himself off the ledge.

"NOOOOOOOOO." I screamed crawling to the edge I peered over to see his lifeless body at the bottom of the quarry.
