Billy had told his eldest son Harry to “go to bed and we can talk in the morning, as I am too tired for any drama tonight alright son!” Just before that he said to panicking Ben “go back to Robs bed mate!” And the best friend looked at each other, and back at Billy, and did as he told them to do.

Zane said he had not seen him since he left him that morning.

Harry though as the evening wore on, on refection could see both of them were not over enthusiastic about Beth, and once he was out with her, he could see why hence his calling Ben, wanting to speak to him.

Later on he was fed up and had enough and left her and her group of friends, heading off to a club as the pub hit closing time. He said his goodbyes and headed home. There he encounter Ben heading into his brother room.

As he passed his brother Robs room, he listened and hearing nothing, he went to the bathroom and washed his face and headed downstairs. Once there, he encountered his baby brother Colin who had just come in from a night out with his mates and he said “hey bro what happening.?

Colin replied “ah mate, I have great night. I went to some bar with my mates and end up in gay club and had a great time.”

Harry said sulkily “well you all know about those two and I didn’t so I am a bit pissed off about the situation ok?”

Colin looked at him and said “come here you idiot. This all happen this afternoon after you left as Rob had just come back home remember? And he had not seen Ben for years. I know that he likes him and he spoke about him a few times and always asked after him. He was checking out his socials as well.”

 “Why did you not say anything bruv about our Rob liking blokes then?”

“Well it his business innit, and with Ben being your mate, I never knew he was gay, although his brother Zane told me that he suspected he was though. Looked I knew Rob was gay after I overheard him arguing with his ex-boyfriend, when I was staying at mum house, and I could see he was upset.”

But instead he said “well this is Rob business aint it if he wants to say anything to you about his being gay?”

Harry looked pained and said “I dunno as I have not asked him, but I have known for ages and after tonight he can’t exactly hide it can he?”

Then he said “anyhow enough of them, listen Harry, I only found  out about those two upstairs earlier yesterday evening, as I came in to chill for few hours and saw you running up the road. “Dad” Colin cried, taken aback to hear his father stating this so casually!

Billy replied “son look I know Robs gay or bi as he was caught having sex in your mums kitchen 2 years ago, and then that stupid cunt husband of hers Andy last year, caught him in bed with a bloke and took great pleasure in telling me all about it?”

But it was not to be, and I had get over me self. Now my boy lives with his  boyfriend Errol, and they getting married next year and are adopting Errol’s 3 sons.”

“Nah that his business, as he told me off for mentioning it all the time, so I don’t anymore. Beside him and Errol are a loving couple and have great family with the children. When they married there are gonna adopt a girl so that their family is complete.”

As Billy was relating this to Colin, he in turn, was surprised to learn about Kevin as he had gone to his engage party a few years back. He said “but dad our Rob?”

Harry nodded and his father went over to him and hugged him and Colin and said “my boys.”

Then they spoke some more and they walked back upstairs to bed.

As this was all going on, within Robs room, Ben was wide awake and his mind was full of doubt. Not of him and Rob, as he liked the man a lot, but he knew that Harry would be upset. He listen in the quietness of the room, to the voice coming from downstairs, and then he heard Harry, Colin and their father Bill walking upstairs to bed.

He fell into an uneasy sleep and Rob woke up and looked at him and could see that he was troubled, and thought “what is this about is he having doubts”, as he was still not sure how things were going play out in the morning. So he lay there for a while and got up to use the bathroom .

As he came out he bumped into Colin who said “Dad and Harry know about you and Ben mate.”

“Oh shit what did they say” Rob said panicking, just like Ben had earlier on.

“Dads cool about it, which I am so surprised with bruv. Hey, did you know that out cousin Kevin’s gay, and he going to get married next yeah to that bloke Eddie that were met at his engagement party?”

“Nah mate fucking hell, so he a bender like me then?”

“Yeah Rob he is.”

“What about Harry then?”

Rob walked over to him and not caring that his two brothers and now his father had come out of his room and he took him in his arms and he said “I love you Ben!”
