An Unexpected Christmas

In the department store where I had recently been employed, for my sins I was placed in charge of the kiddies division. Ironically, I really did not like kids!

Being twenty-three years old and the youngest member of staff in a managerial position, however, I had to take the rough with the smooth. To add to my misery it was December, Christmas time, so the task of employing an in-house Santa Claus was given to me. The third applicant I interviewed was a man named Albie. For some or other reason I took a liking to him. Albie was a big guy, stood six-foot-two-inches tall and was over sixty years old. Albie had puppy dog eyes that told me that he really needed the work. Something just seemed right about him and I unhesitatingly gave him the job.

Although Albie did not have the huge gut required for the part of Santa, once we got him dressed up and padded, he was a perfect Father Christmas. Ironically his employment turned out to be one of the best decisions of my managerial career, thus far.

In the two weeks that Albie played the role of Santa in our store, the compliments never ceased and he was totally brilliant at his job. When his spell ended on the 24th December, everyone in management felt that Albie had been such an asset that retaining his services in one or other form would be an enormous asset to the store.

During his tenure I got to know Albie fairly well. He was a widower whose wife had died four years before. Albie had two estranged children and three grandchildren that he never saw. He lived a humble and somewhat difficult existence, because as he put it; “I didn’t provide properly for my old age.”

Two days before Christmas I decided that I would invite him to pass Christmas day with me as I would also not be spending Christmas with my family, who lived far away.

Albie had already told me that he would be alone during this period, so I decided to invite him to my apartment for having made my decision for employing him such an inspired one. Albie was totally overcome by my invitation. Oddly, Christmas with my family was always a strain resulting in the inevitable family dramas.

Fortunately, however, Burt, the manager of our food division arranged an inexpensive hamper of goodies for me that had reached their ‘sell-by date’ on Christmas Eve. In addition, in a rare moment of Christmas spirit, the night before I had also bought a shitload of Christmas decorations and lights, which I had decorated my home with until I finally collapsed in my bed at around midnight.

After the store closed on Christmas Eve, Albie accompanied me back to my apartment. Before entering my apartment, I decided to add to the drama of my previous night’s efforts by making him cover his eyes for the big reveal. I have to admit, that possibly due to exhaustion the previous night, I had not fully realised how impressive my endeavours had been.

My apartment looked magical as Albie uncovered his eyes. What, however, blew me away even more, was the look on Albie face as his eyes scanned my efforts from the previous evening. As his eyes moistened and tears began to roll down his cheeks I had an overwhelming feeling of joy. My next surprise came when inspecting Burt’s impressive hamper, to realise that I had enough food to feed ten people.

Two hours after our arrival at my place, Albie and I were gorging ourselves on all the treats that Burt had packed for us.

As we sat around chatting, eating, and drinking to our heart’s content, Albie proved to be an incredible raconteur and regaled me with stories that had me clutching my stomach with laughter, and what I thought would be a tedious Christmas Eve, was turning into a tour de force.

As the evening progressed our tongues were loosened by the alcohol we consumed, and when he asked about my personal life, I confessed that I was gay. His revelations thereafter, proved to be even more interesting.

Albie then informed me that he had married because of family and peer pressure. He stunned me by telling me that had always preferred men but had given reluctantly given in to heterosexual life because of the burden that had been placed on him. He unashamedly admitted that he had been a shit father and a crappy husband, and this was why his children forsaken him.

He was very remorseful because of this and the anxiety that it caused, had constantly dogged his life. He accepted that his kids wanted nothing to do with him, but was always troubled by the heartache he had caused his wife. Resultantly, the underperformance in work life was a direct result of the stress he persistently lived with.

Albie told me he wasn’t bitter, but just sad about the consequences his mistakes had triggered. As I observed him closely I began to realize what a good looking man he must have been twenty years before. Even at sixty, he would he would have put most fifty-year-old men to shame.

After the magnitude of his revelation I felt drained and finally announced that it was time for bed.

I told Albie that, as a thankyou gesture for the incredible job he had done, I had decided that he could use the bed in my bedroom and that I would sleep in the lounge in a sleeping bag.

As I began dismissing his protestations out of hand, we stood looking at one other.

Albie then surprised me by saying, “I’m Santa right? Doesn’t Santa also get a special wish for tonight?”

With a laugh, I nodded.

“Well Santa would be honoured if you might spend the night in his bed,” Albie concluded.

I had never been so gobsmacked in my life, but after his outpourings, how could I refuse?

Then, with a pleading look in his eyes, he said, “It’s the only present that I can afford to give you tonight, Teddy.”

Overcome with simpatico, I simply nodded and followed him to my bedroom before we both undressed rather awkwardly.

That night I would learn that Albie was more of a man than most of the men I had ever bedded. Standing proudly, as his ample manhood began to inflate to its full glory. Next, after walking towards me Albie placed his arms around me in a warm embrace.

“Once the lights are off you can imagine that I’m a younger lover,” he said.

“No, Albie, I want the lights on,” I replied.

Once in bed, we kissed and cuddled endlessly. His kissing was ardent but very gentle and Albie’s hands became a duo of wonder as he constantly caressed my body all over. He took complete control as I gave myself over to his control. I soon began to realize that there was a huge chasm between fucking and making love, and soon I was receiving a masterclass in the latter from him.

The tenderness and sensuality of his attention was mind-blowing. Turning my body onto my side Albie spooned with me, before lifting my leg over his thigh. Despite his impressive manhood, his entry into me was effortless and comfortable. Albie’s languid pace as he thrust into me, took me to heights I had never before known.

“Thank you, baby, this is the best Christmas I can remember,” he said as we swayed in a heavenly rhythm.

Overcome with pleasure, I giggled as I replied, “I’ve actually discovered that Santa Claus really does exist.”

“Well, because you’ve been such a good boy, Santa has many presents for you tonight,” he mirthfully replied.

Albie wasn’t joking; his libido was epic and our lovemaking never-ending. No position was left untried and when we finally drifted off to sleep in the early hours of the morning, I was the kid who had received the most gifts early that morning.

When I finally awoke later, my Christmas lover once again mounted my body and we spent almost the entire day in bed, only occasionally visiting the kitchen for a bit of sustenance. Even as we ate in the kitchen, he never ceased fondling me and I felt like a ragdoll in the hands of an over-possessive child.

When Albie finally left later that day with a hamper I had packed for him, I felt like I had received my doctorate in the art of lovemaking.

A few days later Albie moved in with me, he proved to be the best lover I had ever had. Ironically, after years of hating Christmas, I had finally experienced the ultimate joy of Christmas cheer.

Two weeks after Christmas, the management of the store discussed Albie at one of our regular meetings and it was decided to offer him a permanent job as a commissionaire at our department store. His job was to welcome and direct our customers to all various departments they wanted to visit in the establishment. Albie made sure that he knew every department and product in the store, as well as all the promotions we were offering. He was an incredible hit with our patrons and was awarded the ‘Best Employee of the Month Award,’ the first of many that would follow.
