As Rory lay curled up in Zack’s strong arms, in Zack’s bed, his head was spinning with possibilities.

He had agreed to come to Zack’s house that evening to watch a movie. Zack’s parents were away for the weekend and they had the house to themselves. It had soon became clear that Zack wanted to make out with Rory, whose virgin inhibitions were rapidly swept aside by Zack’s confident lovemaking.

Now, barely a few hours later, Rory and Zack had swallowed each other’s cum-loads and they had both experienced fucking and being fucked, each for the first time.

The euphoria of their last bout of sex was still affecting him, and he felt wanted in a way he had never felt before. As they cuddled together, Zack asked “Do you want to be my boyfriend” and Rory asked “Does that mean people would know about us?”

“Not necessarily” Zack replied, “it doesn’t mean we’ll be pashing in public, though I would like to be able to do that one day”.

Rory told Zack “My parents don’t know I’m gay, in fact no-one knows except you. I’m scared of what might happen if people find out.”

“I told my parents about six months ago” Zack said. “I was scared shitless about it but dad just said they had kinda figured I might be, what with the absence of girl-friends. Mum said she hoped I would be careful about sexually-transmitted diseases, and that they would have the same concern whether it was guys or girls I slept with.”

“That’s really good to hear, though I don’t know if my folks would be as accepting” said Rory.

“There’s only one way to find out, but you have to do it when you’re ready and feeling good about yourself so they know you’re happy about it.”

“I feel good being with you” Rory confided in Zack, who kissed his face and then said “ My folks planned this weekend away some time ago, but I asked them last week if I could have a friend stay over and Dad asked if it was someone special. I said you were very special, and mum said she hoped it would go well. And it has. I want you to be my guy, Rory, what about you?”

Rory turned his head to kiss Zack, and replied “I want to be your guy. I’m scared of how to handle all this, but I want you real bad Zack. I just don’t know the first thing about being a boyfriend.”

“Well mate, its my first time too. Having a boyfriend, I mean. Some of the guys I messed around with from the hook-up site were hot and I learned a bit about sex from them, but I’ve been wanting you for ages. Sometimes at the pool I wanted to kiss you right there and then, it was hard keeping my hands off your beautiful body.”

“I’m just ordinary-looking” Rory said but Zack over-rode that, telling Rory he had a hot swimmers bod. “Man”, he continued, “I wanked off in bed so many times imagining what it would be like to have your cock in my arse”. Rory was a little stunned hearing that the muscle-guy he had so long admired had been hot for him all along.

Rory realised he would have to think about how they were going to manage their new relationship. But Zack was well ahead with his plans. “Listen up Rory, I want you to come over for dinner on Monday night and meet my folks. So you know I’m serious about us, and so they know it too.”

“Shit, I don’t know, what if they think I’m a creep” Rory stammered.

“Don’t be such a dork, mate they already know you’re special to me, and they’ll be cool with it. They want what’s best for me, and that means they’ll like you, no problem. Dad already told me a while ago there wasn’t a problem if I wanted to have company stay over any time, so long as I didn’t wake him or mum up with rowdy sex”.

“Man, your parents are so laid-back, you’re really lucky” Rory said and Zack replied “I’m really lucky because I have you, boyfriend. So Monday night for dinner then, and you stay the night, ok? Lucky mum and dad’s bedroom is up the other end of the house because I’ll make plenty of noise while you’re fucking me.”

“Oh shit, stop it or I’ll start getting horny again and I really need to get some sleep.”

“OK babe, I’ll behave, for now.”

“Zack, what about the dudes you play football with, what if they suspected about us?”

“Nah mate, they won’t guess. But if someone asked me upfront if I was queer, I couldn’t pretend, I’d have to say I was queer and proud of it. What about you?”

Rory pondered this for a moment, then said “I’m not sure I could be that brave.”

“Rory, there’s a saying I heard once. Better to die on your feet than live on your knees. I believe in that. And ya know, some guys can smell fear. If they think you’re scared of being called a queer they’ll go for the jugular. Better to take the initiative and call their bluff.”

“You’re amazing Zack” his boyfriend sighed. “Nah mate, just an ordinary bloke. I do have good arms though, don’t I” he laughed, and Rory smiled and said “Smartarse! Let’s talk more in the morning, I’m beat.” And they drifted off to sleep.

Thee two of them woke late, and showered. Zack was going to shave but Rory told him not to. “I love the feel of your beard on my face” he said and kissed his man with passion.

After some breakfast Zack asked Rory if he’d like to borrow a book he had. It was for young queer people, about stuff like how to tell your parents, how to be confident in social situations, and so on. Zack had bought the book a couple of years ago, online, and had read it many times till at last he had felt ready to raise the subject with his parents. “It might help you, like it helped me” Zack said so Rory took the book and slipped it into his back-pack.

Rory checked his phone, and saw he had a couple of messages from people responding to his profile on the gay website. “Zach, I’m gonna delete my profile from that website” he told his lover, and Zack said he would do the same, right there and then.

They went for a ride on their bikes to loosen up, and stopped by a lake to watch swans gliding by. Rory’s phone rang, he saw it was his mother, and answered the call. “Hi mum, I’m alive in case you were worrying” he joked, and his mother asked if he had a nice night. “Great” he replied and then she asked which movie he had watched with his friend. There was a stunned silence as Rory realised he had no clue what the movie was called, then his mother interrupted with “It doesn’t matter, love. Why don’t you bring your friend over for lunch, I’m cooking a lamb roast”.

Rory was close to panic but then he remembered what Zack had said to him – better to die on your feet than live on your knees. So he said “I’ll ask him, hang on” and repeated the invitation to Zack who said he loved lamb roast. Rory told his mum they would be there at 12.30 and she told him not to be late.

Rory was sweating and Zack could see he was a bit agitated. “Relax man, its just a mate coming for lunch, we’re not making any big announcement or anything, just chill babe!” Rory couldn’t help but smile, he had decided he loved it when Zack called him “babe”.

They cycled back to Zack’s house and showered again, then got dressed. Rory had bought a change of clothes with him. Zack put on a tight polo-shirt that showed off his pecs and biceps to perfection and Rory told Zack he was obviously trying to impress Rory’s parents. “You bet” Zack replied, “I work hard for these results and I’m not gonna hide them away.”

They cycled to Rory’s house at a leisurely pace as they wanted to avoid getting sweaty. Arriving on time, Rory introduced Zack to his parents, Alex and Diane. His dad said “Forget the formalities Zack, we’re used to Rory using our first names when he wants, you can do the same.”

The lamb roast was the best, though Zack knew that after all the potato he ate he would have to cut right back on carbs for the next few days to avoid putting on weight of the wrong variety. Zach answered questions about his studies, and he told them he planned to be a physical education teacher. Rory realised he knew very little about Zack’s studies, they went to different schools after all.

After lunch they settled down to chat in the lounge-room. Alex asked if Zack followed sport and Zack said he played in his school football team but enjoyed weight training most. Alex remarked that the weight training certainly seemed to be paying off, and Zack took the opportunity to divert the conversation by saying that Rory had really helped with his swim technique though he was still way below Rory’s standard.

At a suitable point in the afternoon, Zack said he needed to get back home as his parents would be back from their country trip soon, and he thanked them for a great meal and said how nice it was to meet them. They walked outside and as Zack mounted his bicycle Rory said “I’ll see you around six o’clock for dinner with your folks tomorrow. Should I bring anything?”

“Just bring a change of clothes babe, and remember what I said about rowdy sex” Zack said, smirking as he rode off while Alex nearly choked with embarrassment.

Rory went back inside, where his parents were still seated in the lounge-room. He thanked them for a great meal and was about to retreat to his bedroom when his father called him back. “Rory, your friend Zack seems like a really nice young guy, how did you two get to know each other?”

“We go to the same fitness centre, he does weights mostly but he saw me doing laps one day and afterwards he said he wished his swimming technique was better. He can’t afford coaching, so I offered to show him some ways to improve. He’s getting better at it.”

“Well”, Diane commented, “it’s nice that you seem to have a good friendship with Zack, you spend so much time studying and swimming and I always worry that you aren’t socialising much.”

“Relax mum, like I said before, I’m not a party animal, and yeah, Zack is a great guy. He’s invited me to dinner with his folks tomorrow, so I’ll stay overnight again, saves me cycling back home in the dark”.

“Do you need to take anything, like a dessert?” his mother asked, and Rory had a fleeting thought about the dessert he would be getting in Zack’s bedroom after dinner. “No thanks mum, it’ll be fine”.
