Chapter 13

I asked Kyle, “are you saying that you are moving near me?”

He smiled, “what would you think about that?”

I kissed him, “I would love it, when will you find out if you get the job?”

He said, “I found out today.”

My eyes widened, “and…”

He gave me a sexy look, “I got it. I start in two weeks, I just need to find a place to live.”

We teased Andy a little bit more and ate our lunch, we told them about Kyle and I moving in together. Kyle and I went back to his apartment and started to plan his move, deciding what items we were each going to keep and what we would sell. Both were both excited when the next weekend arrived, Andy helped us move the bigger items. He had an enclosed trailer and he and Kyle loaded it up on Saturday morning and drove down to my place. We had all of Kyles things moved in by midafternoon. Andy headed back home and Kyle and I finished putting things away.

When we were done, I kissed Kyle and said, “welcome to our home.”

As we were kissing, there was a knock at the door. Kyle asked, “are you expecting company?”

I smiled, “no, were you?”

He shook his head as I walked to the door. I opened it, “Cole, what are you doing here?”

Cole said, “I heard Kyle was moving in with you, I just wanted to talk to you guys, can I come in?”

I said, “sure, come on in.”

Kyle said, “hey Cole. So, what did you want to talk about?”

He said, “I just wanted to say I’m sorry about what Owen did to you guys or tried to do.”

I said, “it’s not your fault, you don’t have anything to be sorry for.”

He said, “thanks, but I still feel a little bit guilty.”

Kyle said, “well, don’t, we are not mad at you. By the way, how are things with you and Owen?”

Cole laughed, “there is no me and Owen, no offense Kyle, but your cousin is a prick.”

Kyle chuckled, “sorry Cole, I could have told you that before you moved in with him.”

I asked, “what happened Cole?”

He said, “well. when he came home with the bloody nose you gave him, you broke his nose by the way, I asked him what happened. He just laughed when he said he thought he broke you guys up. I asked why he wanted to do that, he just said because he could.”

Kyle shook his head, “that’s Owen.”

Cole continued, “I slept on the couch that night and the next week I came home from work and found him in bed with another guy.”

Kyle smirked, “oh, I have to call my mom later and see what aunt Diane has to say about this.”

Cole stood, “I just wanted to say I’m sorry for everything and make sure there were no hard feelings between us.”

I said, “none here Cole, once Kyle gets settled in his new job, we’ll all go out sometime.”

He smiled, “thanks guys, I’m glad he didn’t break you guys up, I would like us to hang out sometime.”

Kyle was laughing as Cole left, he said, “damn it, I wish I could have gotten a punch in.”

I pulled Kyle in for a hug, and said, “it was very satisfying, maybe you can hit him next time.”

He chuckled, “yeah, you're probably right, there will be a next time.”

He said, “oh, yeah, you do stink, a shower would be a good idea.”
