Chapter 12

The next morning Cody was already up when I got out of bed, he was getting ready for his job interview. I could tell he was excited, I got ready for work and was heading out the door, I gave him a kiss for good luck and told him to call me after he was done with the interview.

I was in meetings most of the morning, when I got back to my desk, I saw that Cody had called. I called him back, he answered on the first ring.

“Hey Cody, how did the interview go?”

He said, “I think it went really well, they said they want me to help do designs as well as supervise a crew, the pay is much better than my old job too.”

I smiled, “so does that mean you got the job?”

He said, “no, not yet, he told me that he would let me know by Friday, but I think I did well, the guy who interviewed said he was impressed.”

I could hear the excitement in his voice, “that’s great Cody, hey why don’t you come to my office, and we will go to lunch,”

Cody answered, “that’s a good idea, I’ll be there at noon.”

I nodded, “Eli would be mad if you didn’t move in, he is already counting on it. I think he wants to see you naked.”

I let go of his hand, “hey our pizza is getting cold, let’s go eat.”
