Brad’s Perspective

It was Thanksgiving morning, and I woke up to the pleasure of Scotty’s warm, wet, soft tongue rimming my hole. I had fallen asleep on my stomach… naked, and Scotty was waking me up with a Thanksgiving rim job (I’m sure the pilgrims would be proud). I couldn’t help but think about the first time I rimmed him…. he flipped the fuck out (it was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving ten years ago, on our first date). He loved the way it felt, but the idea of licking an asshole grossed him out… thank god he got over that quickly! I could feel his tongue exploring my insides, I just stayed still and enjoyed it for a while, then I finally gave in to my lust and pushed my firm ass into his face and asked with a sleepy grumble in my voice, “What do you think you’re doing?”

Scotty pulled his tongue out of my tight hole long enough to answer, “giving you some stress relief before another drama-filled Westin Thanksgiving… oh and happy first-date-aversary.” I laughed and wished him a happy first-date-aversary back, finding him was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. He slapped my ass before he settled back into his groove and continue to lap my hole, the slap echoed through the old, pristinely refurbished house. If Benny and Chris were awake, I’m sure they heard it. As much as my head wanted to resist so we didn’t disturb our housemates, my ass wanted more. I instinctively pushed my butt into his face silently begging his tongue for more. Scotty pulled my ass cheeks apart giving himself better access to my tight, pink pucker. Damn, he knew how to eat ass… I had taught him well over the years. I writhed and wriggled my ass into his face trying to get siphon every droplet of moisture form my muscle studs tongue. I reached behind me and grabbed the back of his head, smashing his face into my crack, god I wanted it all! Scotty didn’t hesitate. He licked and slobbered with fervor wanting all I had to give.

He moved his tongue lower as he made his way down my ass crack and sucked my balls into his mouth, he instinctively reached underneath me and stroked my hardening cock. He pulled it back through my legs so he could lick my cock, balls, and hole all at the same time… Damn, he was giving me something to be thankful for that day. After a proper licking, he smacked my ass again and growled “roll over.” I complied. When I got onto my back, he started licking my cock, he took it deep down his throat for a couple of seconds then moved up and straddled my chest. His cock was inches from my mouth as he tried to stuff it in. I moved down the bed a little bit to give him a better angle, within seconds, he had a knee on either side of my face, his hands on the wall above the headboard, and his cock deep down my throat. He face fucked me with excitement and just the perfect amount of force making the headboard tap lightly against the wall. The feel of his ample drumstick hitting the back of my throat and his giblets smacking my chin gagged me into the spirit of the holiday… I couldn’t help but be thankful for the ecstasy that Scotty was giving me. The tears flowed down my cheeks as my throat happily accepted the beating his cock was giving it.

It was several brutally hot moments before he pulled his cock out of me, snaked his way down my toned, former-swimmers body and lined himself up with my hole. He kissed me passionately as his cock took over my hole like the settlers took over America. Deeper and deeper into my territory he forged claiming it as his own. He thrust in and out of me giving me a fuck I wouldn’t soon forget. Damn, he felt so good inside me as he stuffed my ass fuller than a thanksgiving turkey. His cock fucked my ass, his lips kissed my lips, and his hand stroked my cock harmoniously.  It was fucking perfect. I grunted in his mouth as a warning that I was about to end this scrumptious dessert with a homemade whipped topping. My grunts encouraged him to pound faster and harder like he was mashing potatoes for a feast fit for a king. I shot first and my sphincter clamped onto him; he moaned in response to the added intensity before adding the final ingredient for the perfect filling. I felt his warm seed fill me as his lips pushed against mine even harder.

His former-wrestlers body was covered in sweat and collapsed onto mine. We both heaved and puffed trying to catch our breath from a fan-fucking-tastic morning workout. Scotty rolled off me and panted, “Damn, it’s nice not having to wake up to take care of the kids” I laughed as I lie there catching my breath. A few minutes later I jumped in the shower to get ready for the day ahead, Scotty stayed in bed and went back to sleep, we rarely got the opportunity to sleep in and he was going to take advantage of it.

After my shower I headed down to the kitchen to forage for coffee. I found a Keurig machine on the counter with a basket full of K-cups and a note that said “help yourselves. Happy Thanksgiving” and it was signed Harrison and Terrance. It was clear to me that Seth was surrounded by great, generous people just like Scotty and I were. I was so damn proud of the world my baby brother had built for himself… hell I was proud of all my siblings. It had been an honor to have my brothers live with me, and… I guess if you really think about it… in a fucked up way… I had my father to thank for that. I had just pulled my coffee mug out from under the spout when Benny entered the kitchen. “Good Morning” he said, then he noticed my coffee cup. “You found coffee? Yay!” I put a k-cup in the machine for him.

“Good morning. How did you sleep?” I asked.

“Fine until I heard some weird noises down the hall” he said with a knowing smirk.

I blushed a little and chuckled. “So, you ready for today?” I asked. As he stepped up to the counter to wait for his coffee brew.

He let out a heavy sigh, “As much as I ever will be, I guess… so what the fuck; let’s meet daddy.” It was clear he was still uneasy about it all. I opened the French doors that led out to the deck and the two of us sat down at a little bistro table in the cold, early winter air. I was wearing a sweatshirt and Benny was in flannel, but we were both a little chilly and warmed our hands on the hot coffee mugs as we talked.

“I remember how nervous I was on the flight from Arizona to Texas for the funeral. My mother had just died, but all I could think about was having to face my father again. I was freaking terrified” I told him as we sat there holding our hot coffee.

“That’s a good word” Benny said, “terrified. Like I told Seth, I don’t want to ruin your family holiday, but I have no idea how I might react.”

I chuckled, “Drama is the norm at Westin Holidays that involve my father.” Then I proceeded to tell him all about the year Seth invited my parents to Arizona for Thanksgiving. I told him about our trip to the police station that year (and our tradition of visiting them every year as a thank you… which by the way Kev and Randy were handling for us again this year). Seth had already told him about last Thanksgiving when father came out. “Listen, whatever happens today, happens. Either way, I’m glad you guys decided to come and I’m glad we finally met. It’s been so nice having you to talk to… I mean really, you’re the only other person who knows what it’s like.”

Benny smiled (he really was ruggedly handsome) and said, “Yeah, I know. You’re like the first person in ten years that I can truly talk to about this shit. God, Brad… that surveillance video you showed me…” he breathed a heavy sigh. “You can see them both clearly, your father and mine. They really did that to us.”

“Yeah. They did” I said, “and they know it too. I think it haunts them as much as it does us. God, I hated them for so long.” Benny was looking me in the eyes, listening intently. “But what the fuck did that get me? Not a goddamn thing except a dead mother who I didn’t even know anymore.” I could see the wheels turning in Benny’s mind as he thought about what I was saying. “Speaking of mothers, what does your mother think about all this?”

Benny took a deep breath and said, “She’s all for it, she’s the one who talked me into coming” as he exhaled. “She said before that fucking church messed with his head, he was a great guy, she said the same about your father too. She’s convinced that my dad realized he was gay and went to the church for help and they probably brainwashed him… she also believes that he truly thought he was helping when he abducted me.”

I listened and thought about what he was saying, “that actually makes sense to me.” My father was a good guy before that church… and as we all now know he was gay. The idea of him turning to the church for help and being brainwashed into believing he could be something he wasn’t made total sense to me. Benny and I talked through his mother’s line of thinking, I mean, it would explain a hell of a lot, and frankly made it all easier to accept.

As we were talking the French doors opened and Scotty poked his head out. “There you guys are. Me and Chris just found the coffee” he said. We held up our mugs to show him that we had already found it. Scotty was showered, dressed, and ready to go. “You left your phone upstairs” he said tossing my phone to me. “Seth has been texting us to come over for breakfast… like over and over. God, your bother is still a little pain in the ass” he said with a laugh. I went into the house and joined Chris (who was also up, showered and dressed) and Scotty at the kitchen table while Benny ran upstairs to shower. Chris was a nice guy too. Scotty and I went to college at the University of Boulder like him and Benny, so we had a lot in common to talk about. Benny made fast work of getting ready and was back downstairs in about fifteen minutes. The four of us were about to head over to Seth’s for breakfast when the doorbell rang. Scotty went to answer it and came back to the kitchen with my father and Best behind him.

“Good morning, everyone” my Father said. “I hope we’re not intruding.” Everyone politely said hello, except for Benny who just kind of stared at the two men. I understood what he was gping through.

“We were just about to head over to Seth’s for breakfast” I said.

Benny walked over to Best and shook his hand, “Hello Father” he said, suddenly seeming shy. Best gave him a smile as the two men tried to size each other up and figure out where they stood.

“Um, we were hoping we could talk to you two before the whole group got together” my dad said to me and Benny.

Scotty looked at me for a sign, I nodded. Chris and Benny exchanged the same signal. “Hey, Chris. Let’s head over to Seth’s for breakfast… I need some bacon” Scotty said putting his arm around Chris.

“Sounds like a plan” Chris responded. He made his way over to Benny, kissed him on the cheek and said, “We’ll see you guys over there.” I heard him whisper ‘you okay’? into Benny’s ear, Benny nodded and our husbands left us alone with our fathers to talk.

“Benny, it is truly good to see you, again. It means a lot to me that you came” West said.  I tried to lighten the mood by offering coffee, as I was brewing cups for them my father spoke.

“Listen, we’ve talked about this and ran through a million scenarios… there is no way in hell this won’t be awkward” My father said. “But we are so grateful to both of you for coming, we know it wasn’t easy.” Then he took a deep breath, “Brad and Benny, what we did to the two of you is reprehensible and unforgivable, the fact that you both came here today, to see us…”

“It means everything” Best said finishing his thought. “I am so sorry for… for... for ALL OF IT!”

My Father took over, “The abduction is just the tip of the iceberg. The over the top discipline, the lack of acceptance and understanding…”

“The lies, the abuse” Best said. “It was all horrible. ALL OF IT.”

“We are both so, so damn ashamed of ourselves, and there are no words… no actions… nothing that can change the past” my father said. “But Bradley, like you and I discussed over a year ago. I want to have a future with you… whatever the hell that may look like. This past year, reconnecting with you and your siblings has been a… I don’t know the words. A second chance I never thought I would get, I guess. And Benny, I know your Father wants the same.”

“I know, Dad” I said… yup I called him Dad just like Seth had been doing. “We’re good. Really.”

“Really?” He asked.

“Well, I’m here in the middle of fucking nowhere just to spend the holiday with you, aint I?” I said with a smirk. Then I got up, hugged him, and whispered in his ear, “really.” I didn’t know if I could ever forget completely, but I did forgive him. The more I understood about his own struggles, the less it all hurt. What Benny’s mom said about them truly believing they were helping us… I got it. They were two fathers who hated themselves for what they were, watching their sons go through the same hell, and truly believing they could save them. As misguided, twisted, and fucked up as it was… they acted out of love not hate (or at least believed they did).

Benny spoke for the first time, “It’s gonna take me some time, but hey… I’m here too.” Then Best got up, walked over to his son and the two men embraced. “And dad. It’s good to see you again too.” It was far from over, but it was a start. The four of us were misty-eyed.

“Okay, enough of this sappy shit” I said getting a small chuckle from the others. “Seth’s been working his ass off across the street cooking for us, let’s go get breakfast.” The four of us walked toward Seth and Zach’s house, it really was beautiful country. My baby brother and his friends had built such a great little community out there in the middle of nowhere, it was an oasis. I was so damn proud of what they were doing. It hadn’t even been two years since he and Max got The Village going and they had already helped countless number of boys find their way into adulthood with training, jobs, housing, transportation… whatever they needed. But beyond all that they gave these guys something more… they gave them family. Seth told me once that his vision for The Village was to make sure that every gay kid entering adulthood had a “Brad and Scotty” to help them. Like I said, I was damn proud. I really had to wonder if Seth, Eli, and Brian would be the incredible men that they are if Father wouldn’t have been the awful zealot he was. Things seemed to have turned out exactly as they were supposed to.

“Hey, we’re here!” I yelled as we entered the brightly painted farmhouse.

“In the kitchen” Scotty yelled back. He, Chris, and Zach were eating breakfast at the kitchen aisle while Seth continued to cook. The four of us took seats at the counter or around the little kitchen table and Seth brought us each a plate. Scotty looked at me trying to get a read on how things went with our fathers, I gave him a smile and a nod. Benny and Chris were exchanging similar glances.

“So, when is everybody coming?” I asked,

“Well, Kelly promised to be here before ten to help, and I’m sure the rest of our clan will be with her and the BroMax clan should be coming around noon.” Seth answered.

Zach added, “Well, it’s 9AM now, if my mom said 10:00, she should be getting here any…” before he could finish…

“HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!” Kelly yelled, interrupting us as she came through the front door. With her whole gang behind her carrying food, centerpieces, the kids overnight bags, and a whole lot of other stuff.

“…minute now. Mom’s always early” Zach said finishing his thought and getting a laugh from us.

The kids ran in all excited from their sleepover. Maddy and Brooklyn came running up to us talking over each other about their night together. Maddy was telling us all about killing more zombies than Uncle Eli, and Brooklyn was showing of her painted nails. Growing up in our world, It was rare that she got girl time and she was loving it.

Meanwhile, Izzy ran toward Zach yelling, “Wookit! Wookit!” as she held out her hands show her daddy her painted nails.

“They’re beautiful” Zach gushed.

Seth came over to inspect them, “Oh my god, and look at those braids” he exclaimed as he looked his sweet little girl over. The two new daddies’ fawned over her.

“I a weal bad bits” Izzy said. (if you didn’t catch that, yes, she said ‘I’m a real bad bitch’).  The adults in the room went silent as we tried to hold back our laughter.

“That’s right sweetie… you are a real bad bitch” Riley responded as if that was perfectly normal language for a two year old.

Zach’s neck almost snapped as he shot daggers at his sister, “Riley, what are you teaching her?!” You could tell he was pissed… but also slightly amused at the same time. Meanwhile, Seth had a quiet conversation with Izzy trying to correct her language. Those two had taken to parenting like fish to water and it was obvious to everyone around them that those kids were loved.

“What? It’s cute” Riley protested. “That’s the best part about being an aunt. I get to teach her all the stuff you can’t.”

“She’s not even three! You don’t teach a three year old words like that. It won’t be so cute when she repeats it at daycare, or in front of the wrong person.” Zach did his best to admonish Riley, but his words fell on deaf ears. My new sister in-law was having a great time teaching her niece the things her parents wouldn’t. Let’s face it, that’s what aunts and uncles are for.

Kelly half-scolded Riley as she put on an apron and went right to work barking out orders and giving direction. She had more important things on her mind. Withing minutes she had Eli and Zach setting up a banquet table in the living room and moving chairs around. She had Riley putting out the place settings, etc. while she busied herself with adjusting the centerpieces and moving things around to ensure every salad fork, dessert plate, and napkin was in the perfect spot, and the stemware was spotless. She was a perfectionist and a control freak, and I know she used to drive Seth insane, but after all these years the two of them seemed to have fallen into a groove and worked well as a team, it was an interesting dynamic to watch. They worked together but Seth stood his ground with her, he picked his battles well and she seemed to respect his boundaries. They were a well-oiled machine. In no time flat, she created a dining space that left Martha Stewart in the dust, and Seth had everything in the oven or on the counter cooling.

By noon the little farmhouse was teeming with chaos and the amazing smells of thanksgiving wafted through the air. Brody’s entire family had joined us and with so many people, and all the kids running around playing, the whole zealot father/abducted sons reunion took a little bit of a backseat and wasn’t as awkward. When it came time for dinner, we all took our assigned seats (yup, Kelly had assigned us seats). Seth offered up the Thanksgiving prayer that had become a family tradition since my brothers came to live with us. I am grateful that we’re all together again, and thankful for all the new additions to our family… too many to even list this year. Thank you for this incredible meal, but most importantly thank you for this collection of amazing people that make up our family.’ We all responded with a rousing “Amen” that shook the walls of my brothers little home.

Benny and I were seated with our husbands and our fathers at the table Eli had set up in the living room, I’m sure it was Kelly’s attempt to get us talking. It worked. Yeah, it was a little awkward at first, but soon we were all talking and getting to know each other… we were even laughing a little. Benny and Chris were decent guys, and Best and my dad really wanted to get to know us all. When we all finally let our guard down, we found some common ground and were able to be ourselves with each other, it was surprisingly pleasant. After the abduction I had written my father off and frankly never cared if we had a relationship, but it was important to Seth so I had tried. And that night, for the first time I was glad Seth was so persistent. Maybe time WOULD heal all wounds.

After we ate, Kelly and BA were turning the dining room table into an amazing Dessert buffet while me, my brothers, Scotty, and Zach attacked the mountain of dishes, and everyone else mingled and had a great time.

“So how did it go with you guys, Dad, and Best this morning?” Seth asked. I told the guys told what we had discussed, and that Benny seemed ready to give his dad a chance.

Just be careful, you guys” Scotty said. He had been skeptical since the beginning. He wiped his hands on the dish towel, then came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. “I just don’t want you guys getting hurt again.”

“I really think he’s changed, Scotty” I said.

“Me too” Seth added. “Shit, those guys are taking down the church branch by branch. What they did eats them up inside.”

“Good. It fucking should!” My husband said in a loud whisper as we tried to keep our discussion contained.

“I get that they were both battling their own demons, but that doesn’t just erase it all… they fucking tried to take you from me, Brad” Scotty said as his arms squeezed me tighter. “Just be careful. All of you. I love the fuck outta this family and I don’t want to see any of you getting hurt again.”

I turned and kissed my husband, “It’s different now, Scotty” I said. “He’s changed, and we’re all older and strong as fuck. Stop worrying.” I couldn’t believe I was defending my father, but I was. I really was moving on.

While my brothers and I were talking, the doorbell rang and Seth went to answer it. Suddenly there was even more chaos as about a dozen Villagers entered the already overcrowded house. “What are you guys doing here?” Seth asked with happiness in his voice. “I thought you were all at Colton’s for dinner.”

“They were” Colton answered. “Ella was supposed to take the desserts out of the oven and burned everything, so we were hoping the invite was still good” he said to my brother with a cute smile.

Seth smiled wide and replied, “Always.” Then he yelled through the chaotic house “Hey Max, look who dropped by!” Max, Brody, and Zach came to the living room and excitedly greeted all the villagers. I knew some of the guys, but not all of them but welcomed them all.

“Come in!” Kelly bellowed when she saw the gang of villagers, “I have enough desserts to feed an army. Oh, I am so happy to see you all… and Ella!” Kelly hugged the teenage girl. I know Kelly had gotten to know all the villagers when she was in town taking care of Seth after his accident earlier that year.

I watched as the villagers mingled with everyone. I saw Taylor talking with Benny, and Chris trying to talk to Asher, Ella was talking with Kelly… the villagers just seem to blend in. That’s when it hit me; when my father abandoned me all those years ago, I felt so alone, I thought I was the only one who had ever been abandoned by his own father, but as I looked around the room it hit me; I was far from alone.

There was a world full of people who knew the loneliness I had felt all those years ago. A world of people who had lived the lonliness I had lived… and a handful of them were right there in that house. But I had something most of them didn’t… a second chance at a relationship with my father.

It was a hell of a Thanksgiving.

To be continued…
