The Freshman Hockey Player 10A The Final Chapter

Blake and Justin walked across the frozen campus to the house party, arranged to celebrate Hunter and Caleb coming out.  As they got close Justin elbowed Blake in the ribs and pointed to the banner above the door.

“Our two favorite teammates.  Guys you can really get behind.”  Blake and Justin were still laughing when they walked into the house.

“Bout time.” Hollered Hunter across the crowded room.  “What the hell have you two been doing?”  He said with a mischievous grin, watching the freshman’s face turn scarlet.  He knew that Justin had been at Blake’s for over an hour.

“Shit bro, we were all tied up.  You’ve been there before.”   Blake said with a huge grin and Hunter doubling over laughing, Caleb and Justin glancing at each other’s bright red smiling faces.

Clink clink clink, someone started hitting a fork to a glass.  Soon the entire room was clinking something on glass, beer bottles together, some just banging their hands on the table.  All eyes were on Hunter and Caleb.  The two confused studs looking around the room at all the smiling eyes on them, trying to figure out what the fuck was going on.

“Ahhhh.  Ha ha you fuckers.” Said a clued in Hunter.  He looked over to his boyfriend, who still had a dumfounded look on his handsome face.  He walked over to the goalie, grabbed the back of his head and laid on a hot long sexy kiss, to the loud eruption of cheers from the teammates, girlfriends and other friends in the room.

Hunter raised their interlocked fingers high above their heads, drawing even louder cheers, causing even more color to flood his boyfriends face.  Caleb leaned in, his lips against the hot stud’s ear.  “You’re going to pay for this later.”  He said laughing, then biting lightly the centerman’s ear.

Blake walked to the center of the room and held up his hand, dropping the noisy banter to silence.  “Guys, I gotta tell ya.  I have always been proud of this team, but never more so than now.  I saw no hesitation to your enthusiastic support when these guys announced that they were together, even throwing this party in their honor tonight.  I’m sad to say, but these two guys coming out is rare in todays college and pro sports.  The way you guys accepted them is admirable and commendable.  Being the first to make such a statement takes huge balls, and we’ve all seen their balls.” Roaring laughter breaks out in the room.

“But seriously, they had no way of knowing how you guys would react, how it would affect their team status, yet they did it anyway.  Their love for each other was more important.  I would like to propose a toast.  To the two bravest men I know.”

“Here, here” broke out across the room to the sound of clinking glasses.

“Following the trail these two guys have blazed, I would like to make an announcement.  Fresh could you come up here?”  Justin with tears in his eyes moved next to the big, muscled defenseman, who put his arm around the young winger.  You could hear a pin drop in the room.

“Fresh and I are a couple too.”  He looked down at the tear-streaked face through his own tear-filled eyes.  “I love you fresh.”  He bent down and kissed the hot young stud.  The room went crazy with cheers.

The party was a blast.  The relief Blake and Justin felt was overwhelming, like the weight of the world had been lifted off their shoulders, the same feeling Hunter and Caleb had experienced the day before.

“We only need one more couple and we could have a line called the gay blades.”  Yelled Brad to a chorus of laughter.

The party went late into the night.  Blake and Justin walked back across campus hand in hand.  When they got to Blake’s house, he turned to freshman.  “Spend the night with me.”

Justin sat in the hard chair listing to the prof drone on and on.  He glanced at the clock on the wall.  ’15 more minutes.’  He looked down at his phone to an incoming text from Blake.  ‘Will you go out with me?  I want to take you on an official date.  Dinner tonight?’

“Yes babe.” A blushing Justin replied.

Bzzz.  Another text alert sounded.  Justin looked down at the text from Kyle.  ‘Dude I heard about you and Blake.  Congrats roomie!  Does that mean no more blow jobs?’ followed by a sad face than a crying face.

“You are finally going to have to get that girlfriend you keep wet dreaming about.  I’m tired of waking up listening to you telling her to take your big cock.”  Snickered Justin hitting send on the text.

Blake pulled the freshly washed Colorado around the front of the parking lot for the freshmen dorm.   He knocked on the door and Kyle opened it, shirtless of course.  “Hey you must be Blake.” As the shirtless kid grabbed the big man in a tight hug.

“Hey get off my man.” laughed the freshman as he pushed Kyle back in mock anger.

“You ready to go?”

“Let’s do it.  Where are we going?”

“Delmonico’s Steak House.  Nothing but the best for you.”

“Have my boy back early.”  Mocked a grinning Kyle.

“I’ll have him back early… tomorrow.”  Said the big smiling stud, as Justin turned red again.

Blake rushed over to the passenger door as the approached the truck and opened it for Justin.

“What the fuck?”  Justin laughed shaking his head.

Blake leaned in hands on both sides of Justin’s face and kissed him deep and long.  Not caring about the dozens of students crisscrossing the busy parking lot.

Justin couldn’t help beaming with pride as he jumped into the senior’s truck.

The freshman was enjoying the best bone-in rib eye he had ever had.  Even the baked potato was uncommonly good.  The two hot studs carried on conversation like two people in love.  The moments of no conversation were spent drinking in each other with their eyes.  Hand found hand and interlocked fingers numerous times throughout the top-notch meal.

“What are you doing for Christmas?”  Justin asked.

“I’m not really sure.  My parents are going to Jamaica this year for their 25th wedding anniversary.  My sister is going to spend it with her boyfriend over in Bay City.  I’m not real pumped about driving back to Bloomfield Hills and hanging out in our big old house.  What about you?”

“Would you want to come back to Minnesota with me?  You could meet the family.  It would save me a bus ticket too.”  Said the boy smiling broadly.

“Have you told them?”

“No.  Thought we could do it together.”

“Do you think that is a good idea?”

“To be honest, I do not know what their reaction will be.  In our tiny town I don’t think they have ever met a gay person, that they know of.  I am afraid to tell them alone.”  He unconsciously gripped Blake’s hand tighter.

“I will be there for you man.”

They drove away from the restaurant and motored toward campus.  “Did you like your stake?” Asked Blake.

“Dude, it was great!  There is nothing better than bone-in rib eye.”

“I don’t know.  You might change you mind in a few minutes when I introduce you to bone-in Justin.”

“With extra sauce?”

“I’m going to give you all the sauce I can produce.”  Blake leaned over and kissed the grinning freshman till the light turned to green.

The Colorado hummed along the highway taking them around the outskirts of Chicago, slowing for traffic by every toll both, after fucking toll booth, after fucking toll booth.  He made a note mentally to comeback home around the Northern end of Lake Michigan.

He looked over at the sleeping teen as they crossed the halfway point across Wisconsin.  ‘God he loved that kid.’

They pulled into the small town just after dark.  It consisted of one gas station, a drug store and a small market / restaurant combo.  “Damn fresh, when you say small, you mean small.  Is this the entire town?”  He said smiling at the nervous looking kid.

“Yeah, the only thing to do here is leave.”

The gear shift lever in park, the boys climbed out of the truck parked next to the attached two car garage.  They walked up the snow-covered sidewalk to the brick ranch style home set out in the country.

The door swung open just before Justin touched the handle.  “My college boy is finally home.”  Gushed his mom giving him a big hug.  “Come on in before you catch your death of cold.” She said leading them into the house.

“You must be Justin’s friend Blake from school.”  As she drew Blake into a tight hug.  “Welcome to our home.  Justin where are your manners?”  She said with a stern look that all mothers have.

“Um Blake this is my mom, Kellie.  Mom, Blake.  Where’s Dad?”

“He’s out back filling up the wood burner.  He’ll be in here in a sec.  Why don’t you show Blake down to the guest room?  Supper is almost ready.”

Justin led Blake down the stairs past the air hockey table and TV room, to the large guest room at the back end of the finished walk-out basement.  “The bathroom and shower are right next to your room thru that door.  Towels are in the cabinet.”

Blake tossed his bag on the bed and the two walked out into the large living area of the lower level.  The defenseman stood in front of sliding glass doors, a stone gas fireplace in the corner to the left, looking out at the frozen pond behind the house.  “Bet that’s why you are such a great skater.”  He said to the teen.

“I spent a lot of hours out there.  We always had a game of some sort going on all winter long.  After supper we can lace them up.  Looks like dad has it all cleared of snow.”

“Supper is ready.”  Justin’s mom hollered down the stairs.

The hungry boys raced up the stairs.  They had only snacked throughout the day-long drive and the smell of fried chicken had been driving them crazy since they arrived.

“Dad this is Blake, Blake, Todd.”  Said Justin, not making the mistake twice, to the approving nod of his mother.  The two men shook hands, Blake towering over the 5’5” man.  “Nice to meet you sir.”

“This is my baby sister Jennypoo.” Said the teasing brother in a sing song voice.

“Jennifer.” Said the embarrassed high school sophomore.

“So I hear you are on the hockey team with Justin?  You play defense?”  Asked Justin’s Dad.

“He’s a senior and the Captain of our team.” Said the son proudly, before Blake could answer.

“Yes I am.  I’ve pretty much always played D, it seemed like it was always the right place to be on the ice.  You guys must really be proud of Justin.  He is the first freshman to make the team in years.  Now coach has moved him up to the first line.  He’s so damn speedy.”

Justin’s eyes shot to his mom, seeing the “look” hearing cussing at the table.  His ears hearing the giggle from his little sister.

“Sorry for the language.  I didn’t mean any disrespect.”  Said Blake having noticed Justin’s head snap a tense look toward his mom.

“That’s ok dear.  We have satellite TV.”  Said Kellie in a kind voice, as the two siblings fought to keep from laughing.

“You are on the first line now?  Mother did you know about this?”  His dad said with a little edge to his voice.

Blake sensing the tension added.  “Well it just happened last practice.”

After supper the boys put on their skates, grabbed their sticks and walked out of the slider in the basement.  Justin flicked on the floodlights and lit the firepit by the edge of the pond.

“Did I stir something up mentioning that you were on the first line?  Your Dad seemed a little pissed.”

“Don’t worry about it.  He expects to know everything, but only so he can criticize it.  If you hadn’t been at the table, he would have made some crack like ‘must have a pretty poor team.’  Justin said in a mocking voice.  “It’s a family dynamic I could live without, but he’s always acted insecure that way.”

“I’m sorry man.  He should be damn proud of the son he’s got.  I know I’m sure proud of you.”

Justin texted Jennifer to join them.  The three of them spent the next 4 hours playing various versions of shinny and any other game they could come up with.  Kellie brought down a thermos of cocoa and fire pit food.

They took a break sitting around the warm fire, roasting hot dogs, apples in tinfoil, marshmallows and smores.

“This is awesome guys.  You are a hell of a skater Jennypoo.”  Said a grinning Blake, at the high schooler’s red face.

“Justin, I’m going to kill you.”  Said the embarrassed sister, though glad the hot college stud addressed her.

The guys were exhausted from the long drive, and the spirited skating in the cold air.  The ‘rents were already in bed as Justin walked Blake down to his room and quietly closed the door.

“Your family is great.  Your house is really cool too.”  Blake said to the freshman.  “What?  Wait, what are you doing?” he whispered.

Justin lifted Blake’s shirt and pulled it off the ripped stud.  He placed his lips over the big stud’s nipple and sucked the nub into his mouth.  “Aaaaahhhhhh.”  Moaned the defenseman, feeling hands on his belt buckle.  “Dude, your parents are upstairs.”  A nervous Blake whispered.

Justin ignored the whispered plea and slid the boxer briefs down over the muscular thighs.  He moved his head down and took the semi hard cock into his hungry mouth, making it fully inflate in seconds.  He drove it into his throat swallowing down on the head, something he knew drove the big stud crazy.

“Fuuuuuucccckkkk.”  Whispered out of the open mouth of the senior.  It didn’t take long, and he was filling his boyfriend’s mouth with a hot load of cum.  Justin held it all in his full mouth and brought his lips up for an impassioned cum swapping kiss, making both teammates swallow numerous times to drink down the slippery spouge.

Justin broke the kiss with an evil grin.  “Sleep tight babe.”  As he slapped the bare ass and quickly exited the room.

The next morning Justin sat on the side of the bed and woke the defenseman with a soft kiss.

“Get up sleepy head.”

“I am up bro, but there is nothing I can do about it right now.”  Said the defenseman with a mischievous grin.

“Come on up.  Mom has breakfast almost ready.”  Justin took Blake’s big hand in his and looked into his eyes.  “I’m going to tell them today.”

After a hearty breakfast of pancakes, fried eggs, sausage patties and American fries, the family sat around the table drinking coffee.  They asked Justin more questions about college life, about Blake’s family, what the boys wanted for Christmas as it was only a couple of days away.

Justin cleared his throat.  “Mom, Dad there is something I need to tell you.”

‘Oh god, here it comes.’  Thought an instantly nervous Blake.  His face lost all color, worrying about how the next few minutes of conversation, could affect the one he loved, for the rest of his life.

“Blake is not just my friend.  He is my boyfriend.”  Stunned silence.

The large coffee mug fell out of Justin’s dads’ hand and crashed to the table, breaking in pieces, coffee spilling in every direction, including his lap.  Todd jumped up brushing the hot liquid off and walked out of the room.

Justin’s mom grabbed a rag and was busy wiping down the table.

Jennifer jumped up and punched Justin in the arm.  “OW.  What was that for?”

“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me.  My friends are going to be so blown away that my brother is gay.”  She said excitedly giving Justin then Blake a big hug and skipping out of the room.  Then leaving in her car a few minutes later to spread the good news in person.

“Mom?”

“Yes dear.” She said still wiping, though no coffee remained.  Justin reached out his hand and laid it on top of hers, looking up into her eyes, tears forming in his.

“Mom, say something.”

“What do you want me to say?” She said, now crying.  “This is going to kill your father.” As she ran out of the room.

Blake put his big arm around the now sobbing teen.  “You got guts kid.  You must have known it was not going to go well.”

Lunchtime arrived and still no words had been spoken between Justin and his parents.  Justin and Blake had spent the morning in the basement and skating on the pond.  It was obvious they did not want to talk to him.

He made his way to the kitchen.  His mom was no where in sight and no food was being prepared for the noon meal.  Mealtime was an important ritual at his house. His parents were always at the table with whichever of their children were home, especially when one had been away.  To his mom feeding her children was more important than breathing.  There was no sign they could give him, to make it more obvious, that he was not welcome, than this one.

Justin looked at Blake with tear filled eyes.  “Let’s get our things.”

The boys stood at the door with their bags in their hands.  “Mom, Dad.  We are going to head back to school.”  Justin shouted toward the back of the house.

“Wait.”  He heard his mom say, then an argument between his parents that he couldn’t quite hear.

His parents came to the entryway, his mom still crying.  “Please don’t go yet.  It’s almost Christmas.”  She sobbed.

“Let him go.”  Growled his Dad.  “He’s no longer welcome here.”  His dad turned his back and started to walk away.

“I don’t know you, but I know your son.” Blake said as he attempted to control his anger.  “He’s a great person and you should be proud of who he has become.  You remove this kid from your life and you are the one who will regret it for the rest of yours.  It’ll be your loss, not his.”  Snapped the now seething senior, hands clenched into a tight fist.

Justin sobbed nonstop the first two hours of the trip back.  Blake pulled into a hotel in Northern Wisconsin long after dark.  The snow was falling hard, and he was exhausted from the hypnotic effect the big flakes in the headlights caused.

When they got to the room, no words were spoken as he slowly undressed the zombie like boy and helped him into bed.  He undressed climbed into bed next to him. He held his distraught boyfriend in his big arms, holding the boy tight to his body all night long.

They were only a couple of hours from school the next day and Justin was feeling better.  He looked down hearing his phone ring.  It was Jennifer.  His sister had not called him in years.  She was the queen of texting.  He showed the screen to Blake, ‘Jennypoo’ in large font and looked at him with questioning eyes.

“You should answer.”

“Hello?”

Jennifer was crying then angry as words spilled out like a waterfall.  Mom and dad had no right.  Fucking stupid parents, they are.  How could they do that to you?  She loved him.  He knew that didn’t he?  How could she live with such people? I’m never talking to them again.  I can’t wait to move out.

She went on and on.  Justin had never heard his little sister use such language or be so angry.  He could not get a word in edgewise, but he knew she needed to rant.

“Are you ok?”  she finally said with the most caring and sincere voice he had ever heard from her.

“I’m working through it.  I probably shouldn’t have dropped it on them like that, with my new boyfriend sitting at their kitchen table.”

“Don’t you dare blame yourself, this is not your fault!”  He heard in stereo from Jen and Blake at the same time.  “Give Blake the phone!” Jen said in a commanding voice he had never heard from her before either.

“I’ll put you on speaker.  He’s driving.”

“Blake, are you ok?”

“I’m fine.  A little worried about your brother, though.”  Justin rolled his eyes.

“I heard what you said to those people.  I wish I could give you a huge hug right now.  He is lucky to have you.  I am so glad you were there with Justin, but I am sad both of you had to witness their bigotry.”  She started crying again.  “It’s just not right!”

“I’ve got a little sister too, though she’s 21.  If I knew that she had my back like you do for your brother, I would never worry about anything again.  And you are only in high school?  Girl you are something else.  You two are defiantly cut from the same cloth.  You two are really amazing people.  We just need to find out who the hell your parents are.”  Causing all three to break into laughter.

“He’s right you know.  You really are amazing.  You will never know how much your support means to me.  You grew up in front of my eyes over the last 24 hours.  I can’t believe how lucky I am to have a sister like you.  I love you so much Jen.”

The boys spent Christmas break at Blake’s small apartment.  They got a branch from one of the evergreens on campus and stuck it in a beer bottle for their Christmas tree.  Blake got Justin a Christmas tree ornament when they got back, with “Our first Christmas together” on it.  The only ornament on the ‘tree.’

Justin got a text from his mom on Christmas.  It said she missed him and loved him.  She didn’t mention his father.

Blake called his parents in Jamaica on Christmas.  He wished them a happy 25th.  He told them that he had a boyfriend named Justin.  They told him that they weren’t going to lie, they were surprised, but that they trusted him.  Were happy for him and couldn’t wait to meet Justin.  And he needed to send a picture.  Wanted to know if he would bring Justin for New Years.

                                                          FIVE YEARS LATER

Justin graduated with honors and was the top ranked forward in college hockey. He was ranked the 3rd best prospect for the NHL draft.  He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings as the first openly gay player in the NHL.

At the news conference announcing the pick, when asked about Justin being gay, the Red Wing Captain replied, “Hey, we won with the first Russians, we won with the first European Captain and we’ll win with the first gay guy.  Besides he’s kinda cute don’t ya think?”  He winked at the camera’s and left the stage.  The room erupted in laughter; the “issue” resolved.

Blake graduated with a construction management degree and signed on with a firm doing business in the same city where he and Justin went to college.  He bought an old house near campus and Justin moved in at the beginning of summer break and for his remaining three years.  They spent their free time fixing up the old house.  Working first on the master bedroom.  The boys added a master bath with a two-man shower, as well as a walk-in closet.  The space came from eliminating the bedroom adjacent to the master, still leaving two extra bedrooms upstairs, one they converted to an office and the other to a workout room.

They saved a ton of money doing the work themselves, depending on you-tube for expertise when needed.  Blake got quite a few building materials left over from jobs, from the construction guys helping the young couple out.

As Justin’s fame in college hockey grew, he began doing TV ads for local companies, helping fund the renovations.  He surprised Blake for his birthday with a card.  Inside the card was the receipt for all new windows and exterior doors.

In two years, the inside was complete.  All three bedrooms upstairs, including the master suite had been completely redone.  On the main floor they had removed two non-load baring walls, the one between the kitchen and formal dining room as well as the one between the living room and formal dining room.

This allowed them to expand the kitchen and add a large island with seating for 6 bar stools.  It flowed to the dining area and opened to the living room.  The old house now had a modern open feeling.

They transformed the full basement into a relaxing hang out area.  The put in a gas fireplace, a half bath and a 10-foot-long wet bar on the back wall.  But the full-size pool table and the 75” TV were the couples’ favorite addition as well as other members of the team, who enjoyed many a party there.  All that was left of the renovations, was to re-side the outside.

Jennifer had decided to go to the same college as her brother.  She moved into one of the spare bedrooms in the big house as a freshman.  Blake and Justin, now in his senior year, were happy to have her there.  It didn’t take long, and she was dating one of Justin’s teammates.

Jen stayed in the house with her boyfriend until she graduated.  He moved in her sophomore year when the guys moved to Detroit.

Blake proposed to Justin during the teams annual couples’ five game road trip, on Red Bird II.  Justin said yes and the team showered them with champaign, much to the consternation of the jet’s three woman cleaning crew.  Justin slipped them each a $100 bill and humbly apologized.  The three-heavy set, middle aged ladies grabbed him in a three-way bear hug and planted kisses all over his red cheeks.  Then they did the same thing to a shocked Blake, to the cheers and ribbing of the entire team.

Justin’s mom came to the wedding, his sister was in it.  His dad did not.  He had not spoken to his son since the day Justin had come out to him.  Two years after the wedding his dad died of a heart attack.  His closed mind robbing him of sharing in the incredible success and happiness of his only son.

Blake’s parents treated Justin like one of their own and accepted him into their family with open arms.  They could not say enough good things about him, and how lucky they were to have him as a son-in-law.  They even insisted he and Blake live with them in their guest house, until the boys new house was done.  He was so glad to have their positive influence in his life.

Blake and Justin moved just North of Detroit.  Blake took a construction management job in Shelby Township. His company built the huge house Justin and Blake built in Oakland Township, on a private lake.

Hunter and Caleb both graduated with engineering degrees and took jobs with the same company in the Detroit area.  They were working on battery powered propulsion platforms for the auto industry.  They got married the same year as Blake and Justin.  The two couples lived less than an hour apart and got together for BBQ’s and dinners at least once a month.

The engineering studs made a huge life changing decision two years after their wedding.  They adopted a little three-year-old girl.  This little cutie had her two dads wrapped around her little finger.  She also had two uncles / god parents, who doted on her every chance they could get.

They would spend as much free time as they could during the summer at Justin and Blake’s 3000 sq ft cottage on Lake Charlevoix.  Four sets of eyes protectively watching over the little girl as she played on the sandy beach.

Austin couldn’t stop his addiction to Steven’s huge cock, but it tormented him.  Even more than the ugly beast of a woman who lived below Steven’s upstairs apartment.  She made it her life’s work to torment and insult the gorgeous stud whenever she saw him.  He would just lower his head and walk past as fast as he could, which egged her on even more.  Her insults stung the hot stud deeply, as many of the things she yelled to him, were thoughts he could not get out of his own mind.

Cloe broke up with him, when he couldn’t get it up for her anymore.  She married one of his teammates three years later.

Steven and Austin were drawn together for one unique need.  Austin was the only one who could take Steven’s monster dick all the way in.  Steven’s horse cock was the only thing that could give Austin the mind-blowing orgasms he was addicted to.

Steven wanted more between them, but Austin insisted he wasn’t into men, even though he took Steven’s horse cock up his pussy week after screaming-orgasm week.

One night after a long exhausting fuck session, the hot studs were sleeping deeply.  Steven spooned up against Austin, his big arm over the smaller sculpted stud.  Suddenly there was a huge fire engulfing explosion.

The hag below had been mixing up a new batch of meth and the propane tanks exploded.  The fire engulfed the entire old wooden house in seconds.  No one survived.

None of Steven or Austin’s friends or family could figure out why the two were together in the apartment.  No one could figure out any connection between the two.  The news was kept as low profile as possible, given the sensitive nature of finding two straight, athletic good-looking guys, naked in bed together when they died.  The victims didn’t have time to move.

In their investigation, no friend or family member could remember either man ever talking about the other.  Phones were burned up in the fire.

Their families asked the authorities to keep photos and details out of the reports and news.  They were willing to do so, especially since the cause of death was immediately proven to be the meth operation in the separate apartment below the men.

No use causing the family any additional embarrassment, in releasing the details on how the bodies were found.  No one needed to know the secret life of Austin and Steven, even in death.

                                                                        The End.
