In the previous chapters…

Gerry's heterosexual inclinations and his inhibitions make it hard for him having sex with Rowan, despite the sheer love he feels for him. However, a part of him longs for men's love, and at the Cove he cautiously explores his sexuality, sucking Alex' cock and then making sweet love to Brennan.
Kale goes to Hawaii to pay a visit to his dying father and brings back with him his young cousin Laniakea, who struggles to fully explore his sexual inclinations and find his place within the Cove. With Kale's help, Laniakea learns how liberating is voicing (or even screaming) his pleasure and reveals to have been raped by two homophobic guys, back home.
Beau understands that he's not the wonderful and generous man he's always believed, and tries his best to overcome his limits.
The sudden appearance of Gerry's female lover causes a fuss in the Cove and leads to a weird three-way between Kale, Gladys and Gerry. Rowan feels inadequate for Gerry, and looks for reassurance into Barry's arms, but this causes a fight between Gerry and Barry, who later on find a common ground (rough sex!) to settle their quarrel.
Barry is arrested and put in jail, where he ties a strong bond with Wade, a barely legal straight boy. At his trial, Barry makes the hot Judge Ricardo Garcia fall for him.
Jorell reveals to Kale that his father walked out on him when he was seventeen and never heard from him since. Immediately, the Cove starts searching for Jorell's father, and the traces lead to the infamous San Quentin Prison. There, Jorell finds out how unexpectedly caring and understanding was his father, who unfortunately died in prison.
LaShawn meets Joshua, the supposedly straight jet pilot, and gently brings the uptight and repressed guy into the frightening and delightful world of man-love; and though the brave pilot then dies in a plane crash, LaShawn knows for sure that he died in peace with himself.
Laniakea is adamant in being a strictly 'top' guy, but when he talks about that with Barry, the sexy worker widens... Laniakea's perspectives.
After pondering it a lot, Beau proposes to Kale: the news about the surprising marriage makes happy everyone... but Barry, who gets unexpectedly tense and thoughtful. After few days, the two lovebirds get married at Maison de la Motte, with a romantic, and somewhat hilarious ceremony, and then fly on honeymoon to France.
In Provence, Beau and Kale visit the small village of Saint-Julien, where they meet a sexy guy who in all likely is Beau's half-brother, but they decide not to unveil the truth.
While they're away, at the Cove things go downhill: Barry is irritable and angry, he mistreats everyone until the men gang up against him.

~ A weird breakfast ~

While Beau and Kale were spending their honeymoon in southern France, at the Cove the situation was like suspended.

The last couple days had been quite a rollercoaster for everyone. Barry’s gloomy mood had made his anger flare, and he unwittingly hurt Rick and had a brawl with Stewart. Then, the day after, Barry attacked Gerry with no apparent reason, and the tough biker punished him tying him on the bed, helpless and humiliated. And the humiliation grew worse when Brennan and Rick, out of love for him, assisted him during his ‘detention’, cleaning his bruises and feeding him.

Then, during the night, the boys made love to him, servicing him in a way that fully restored his self-confidence, and then untied him, to prove their trust in him. The next morning the men were surprised to see that the supposed punishment had turned into a memorable experience for both Barry and the boys; but they weren’t angry with the boys: on the contrary, the boys’ act of love proved to the men that the tough punishment they had dished at Barry was not the solution. Violence can only call for more violence.

However, the peace was far from being restored at the Cove, as the whole situation had put everyone in a bad mood and caused frictions in the guys’ mutual relationships. Alex, being Barry’s best friend, had disagreed with the other men since the beginning, but couldn’t prevent Barry from being ostracized, and then being shamefully tied to the bed. Stewart, too, felt for Barry, but as a military he thought that a man who does wrong has to learn a lesson.

Wahkan was the most unyielding and strict, as he was firmly convinced that a man must govern and restrain his emotions; Gerry was still angry with Barry for his arrogance, and Jorell just tried to stay out of the quarrel. As a matter of fact, of all the men Jorell was the one who felt most sorry for the current situation; until then, the Cove had always been a place of love and mutual help, and now… now Jorell felt like the Cove had been shaken to its roots.

That morning, all the men and the boys gathered around the big round table to have breakfast, but no one felt to talk or joke as usual. Everyone just stared at his own dish in silence. In theory, after the boy’s tender assault to Barry, everything should’ve come back to normalcy, but too many feelings had been hurt, and too much tension had arisen between the men.

Barry felt like shit. The lively spirit of the Cove seemed vanished, boys and men glanced at each other with great caution. The sparkle of love that so far had filled every corner of the Cove seemed to be extinguished.

«It’s all my fault…» – Barry thought ruefully – «This was the best place of the world, and these were the most loving men and boys ever, and look at them now…»

The breakfast quickly ended and several men and boys stood up to go attend their duties. “Wait!” – Barry said aloud, and soon added, in a lower voice: “…please. Please, don’t go, I… I want to tell something to you all.”

Even those who initially were pissed off by Barry’s curt tone, were surprised by the sorry tone of the last request: they’d never heard Barry use such a pleading tone.

“I’ve been a total asshole, lately” – Barry said when everyone took again their place around the table – “I’ve caused such a mayhem, disrupting the peace of the Cove and this, if possible, is the thing I most feel guilty for. I feel guilty for so many things… I mistreated you all in a way I can’t forgive myself for. I felt… don’t know… like I was at war with the entire world, but the more I acted as an asshole, the more these loving boys repaid me with kindness and respect. If someone taught me a lesson, these days, were the boys.”

“The boys taught a lesson to all of us” – Wahkan replied with a contrite tone – “We men are supposed to be mature and understanding, but we responded to anger with anger.”

“I take the blame for that, too” – Barry said, seriously – “When I’m angry I usually hurt people physically, but this time I feel I’ve caused an even greater damage than what I can cause with my fists. I want to apologize to you all, each and every one. I’m sorry for what I done, and for the anger, the sorrow and the tension that I’ve forced you to feel because of me. Please, forgive me.”

There was a deep silence after Barry finished talking, and the Alex said: “Well… I never heard you talk like this, Barry. Anyway, we’re buddies, I don’t judge you.”

“I can tell you’re totally sincere” – Stewart added – “and I gladly accept your apologies, and I know that my boy Rick has forgiven you since the first moment.”

“You’ve taken a hard step, speaking this way, and I admire you” – Wahkan said gravely to Barry – “A man who admits his wrongs deserve the greatest respect.”

“But I can’t condone what you’ve done!” – Gerry said aloud, with a steely glance; but soon he couldn’t stop himself from chuckling: “Grandpa?? I’m no fuckin’ grandpa! How you dared to call me like that??!”

Barry giggled, but it was a bitter grin the one that appeared on his face: “Another thing to apologize for…”

~ Barry’s solution ~

“It’s OK, man” – Alex said, standing up – “I appreciate what you said. But now I really have to rush to work”.

Everyone suddenly followed Alex’s example and went away, including those who didn’t have any urgent matter to take care of: apparently, though they appreciated Barry’s speech, they still held some grunge against him, or anyway they still felt uneasy with staying at the same table with him any longer than needed.

The dining room quickly emptied, and only Barry remained sitting at the table, playing pensively with the food in his dish. He knew what to do to restore the peace at the Cove, the solution was clear in his mind, but he had to gather all his inner strength to do it…

He was roused from his tangled thoughts by Rick, who was finishing cleaning up the table, where only Barry’s dish was left. “May I, sir?” – the boy asked with a kind tone, reaching out to the dish.

Barry raised his gaze and looked straight at Rick, thankfully, as if that simple gesture was the greatest proof of love. He stood up and faced Rick, as if he was going to say something, but then he threw his arms around the boy and held him tight. Rick didn’t expect that, and was surprised, but immediately reciprocated the hug with great affection.

“You’re the best, kid” – Barry murmured into Rick’s ear, still holding him – “Don’t tell the others I said so, but you’re really the best…”

“Th… Thank you, sir…” – Rick replied, taken aback by Barry’s unusual behavior; the brawny worker had never been particularly affectionate, not in a ‘traditional’ way, anyway, and Rick was unsure what to do.

He didn’t have to do anything, though, as Barry recoiled after a short while, smiled at him and said: “I’d better go to work now” – and off he was.

Rick finished cleaning up the kitchen, made some prep work for lunch and then relaxed in the “butler’s room”, the small living room adjacent to the kitchen. He had woken up very early, as usual, and felt a bit sleepy; he dozed off on the couch, until he was woken up by Charlie, who seemed anxious. Being the houseboy, Charlie had just finished tidying up all the rooms, but apparently something went wrong.

“Hey buddy” – Charlie said to Rick – “You know that weird little statue that Barry keeps on his nightstand? The prize for the Worker of the Year he won? Do you know if someone has misplaced it? It’s not on the nightstand, and you know how much Barry cares for it! We have to find it, or Barry may think that I’ve broken it!”

“I don’t know where it is, you’d better go ask about it to the other boys, while I search deeper Barry’s room. Don’t worry, probably Barry put it in a drawer or something, we’ll find it.”

Charlie scampered away and Rick went upstairs to find the missing statue. He entered the room and noticed the empty place on Barry’s nightstand; he quickly scanned the room and had a weird feeling: the room was exactly like it should’ve been, but there was something disturbing him.

Rick stood still in the middle of the floor and looked around, trying to focus on what was wrong in the room. And then he saw it: on the wall next to the bed there was a nail, but the portrait usually hung to it was missing. With a mental effort, Rick remembered that it was a photo of Barry’s parents, on the day of their marriage.

With a raising anxiety, Rick turned around, and the book that Kale gave to Barry on his last birthday (and Barry never read, of course) was missing too.

«No, no, no…!» – Rick thought, dearly hoping to be wrong, and opened the wardrobe: it was empty. Rick ran around the room like crazy, opening the drawers and checking the bathroom, and everything confirmed the truth he’d already long guessed: Barry had gone away.

The boy sat on the bed, disconsolate, and put his face into his hands. Now everything was clear, the apologies at the dining table, the unexpected warm hug: Barry was saying his goodbyes to the Cove, he didn’t want to leave unfinished business behind him.

“Hey dude, what’s up?” – Charlie asked, entering the room. Rick took a deep breath: “No one broke that prize, Charlie: Barry took it with him when he left the Cove…”

“What? Are you sure? How do you know?”

“Look around: all the things Barry most cherishes are gone, the photo of his parents, Kale’s book, as well as all his clothes and shoes. He didn’t have much, everything probably fit into a big traveling bag.”

“Maybe… he took everything to the cleaners…?” – Charlie said in a small voice, hoping that for some miracle his crazy idea could be true. Rick stood up with a loud sigh and replied: “Come. We have to tell the others.”

~ Manly ardor ~

The only man at home was Wahkan, as all the others were at work; and Wahkan was also the only one who kept his cool, learning what happened, because Brennan, LaShawn and the other boys, including Rowan, were extremely alarmed and sorry hearing about Barry’s decision.

They all wanted to check firsthand Barry’s room, but the evidence was clear: Barry had gone away. “I’m not that intimate with Barry” – Wahkan said to the boys when they all had gathered in the living room – “I could call him on the phone, to check on him, but he wouldn’t tell me what he really thinks. We’d better wait for Alex or Stewart to come back from work, at lunch hour. Go back to your duties, now, and at lunch we’ll know something more.”

The group sullenly disbanded. LaShawn took his boyfriend Chayton by his hand and pulled him upstairs, to his room. They fell on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

“I want my usual life back…” – LaShawn whined – “Things have gone downhill lately. The turmoil about Jorell’s father, then Joshua’s death, Barry acting like a madman, and now this…”

“Yeah… Definitely not the best time here at the Cove…” – Chayton replied – “At least, Beau and Kale are enjoying their honeymoon.”

“Maybe we should call them, don’t you think so?”

“It’s not up to us” – Chayton said resolutely – “We’d better not intrude into the men’s problems. I’m sure that Wahkan and the other men know what’s best to do.”

“I want my life back…” – LaShawn whined again, and turned to hug Chayton, pressing his face into his chest. Chayton felt a thrill down his spine. Usually, LaShawn was playful and almost reckless, but there where times when he was like a young boy who needed a man to take the burden off his shoulders; and that’s how Chayton felt in that moment: a confident, strong man holding his love into his arms, giving him consolation and support.

It didn’t take long until LaShawn felt Chayton’s manhood twitch into his pants. “Here we go again…” – LaShawn sighed, feigning disappointment – “I need a hug and you want to give me cock…!”

“It’s your fault…” – Chayton replied, in a seductive tone – “You make me feel like the first time we made love, alive, confident, powerful! [1] I feel like I’m your rock, your safe place, your… man.”

“You are. And I feel like I belong to you” – LaShawn whispered, raising his head and meeting his boyfriend’s lips. Their passion flared, and they kissed fiercely for a while, rolling on the bed; and then Chayton recoiled with a gasp and looked at LaShawn with surprise: “Know what? Lately we had some fun with the men” – he said – “but do you realize since when we don’t make love to each other? Ages! Before the marriage, before the plane crash, before I went to the Council of the Seven Fires!”

“Oh, my poor sexy man…” – LaShawn mused, slowly stripping Chayton naked – “You must be so sexually repressed, so excited! You must feel a beastly horniness, an irrepressible desire to roughly shove your cock up my tender ass, split me open, make me howl for the pleasure and the pain…”

“Well, I actually feel just like that… except for the pain!” – Chayton growled, lustfully, while LaShawn threw away his clothes and wetted with some spit his quivering hole. “No pain, no gain…” – whispered the black boy, parting his legs – “And I mean it. Let your fever rage, shove your beautiful cock in me, take me and make me feel you totally own me…”

“Fuck, you’re such a tease…” – Chayton murmured, rock hard, kneeling between LaShawn’s splayed legs and spitting on his cock – “I know you can take it rough. Here it comes, boy…!”

“AWWW…FUUUCK!!! YEAH! YEAH!” – LaShawn yelled, feeling his insides pleasurably torn apart by the sudden impalement – “You’re my man, my stud! Fuck MEEEEE!”

Chayton was not over-endowed, and this sometimes made him feel uneasy and unsatisfied [2], but his youthful ardor made LaShawn feel stuffed with hot stiff meat to the limit. “You asked to howl, and I’ll make you howl…” – Chayton said with a hoarse voice – “but not for the pain… this Sioux cock will make you howl with pleasure! Tell me I’m your man! Tell me your mine!”

“NNNGGHH!! I’m… I’m yours, Chay…!” – LaShawn uttered under the blows of the mighty loins pummeling on his buttocks – “You’re my man… my wonderful sexy man…”

Chayton’s cock was a piston that relentlessly smashed into LaShawn’s chute, battering his prostate so hard that at every thrust some pre-cum seeped out of LaShawn’s piss slit: “I could wreck you, I could split your hole open, but I’ll be merciful!”

“Don’t worry for me, stud! Give me it all!” – LaShawn replied, his lust overcoming his senses – “I can take in stride even a 13-inch black monster…!”

Bad move. Unknowingly, LaShawn had struck a nerve, and Chayton slowed down, suddenly losing his fierce attitude: “Well… few men can compete with Jorell, and sure enough my cock is not…”

LaShawn, breathing hard, stared at Chayton, whose hips were now still. “You can’t really think that, Chay…”

“How can you avoid making comparisons?” – Chayton replied, sullenly – “That black beast must be something… It must fill you in ways that I can’t even dream of!”

“Do you want me to make comparisons?” – LaShawn said, tightening his legs around his boyfriend’s waist, not to let him pull out – “Here’s the comparison: if Jorell fucked me with your passion, your manly ardor, he’d kill me! Jorell must always be careful, be gentle, take it easy with me. Yes, he has a humongous club, and yet he can’t give me what you give me, Chay! Your lust, your passion, your powerful thrusts that make my head spin… These are things that only you can give me! I feel you’re still hard inside me, and I’m dying… I’m dying to feel my ass broken open like moments ago! I need you, Chay… Please, fuck me… Fuck me hard like only a stud like you can!”

LaShawn’s last words, spoken with an urgency, a desire that rarely the black boy used, fueled Chayton’s groin. His cock grew even stiffer than before, and his hips set in motion again. “If you need a man, here I am, boy…”

“You’re not just a man, you’re my man…” – LaShawn breathed, while the stiff rod inside him masterfully titillated and stimulated all his most sensitive spots – “Aahh… yeah, do it again… There! Awww… FUCK! You’re such a stud, Chay…!”

“And this stud promised to make you howl, remember? Now, it’s no holds barred, boy!”

Chayton’s hips sprang forward, and once again his six hard inches felt to LaShawn like ten, twelve or even more, and if it wasn’t enough, Chayton grabbed LaShawn’s cock and started stroking it in sync with his mighty fuck. “Ah! Ah! Ah!” – the black boy squealed at each powerful thrust – “Chay… Nnngghh… Yes! Yes! I’m there! AAWWW!!! FUUUCK!!”

True to Chayton’s word, LaShawn’s pleasure exploded with such a force that he let out a high-pitched howl that echoed in the room, and even in the corridor. White streaks of warm seed slowly covered LaShawn’s black skin, while the boy tossed his head from side to side.

“You’re so fuckin’ sexy, LaShawn! So fuckin’ sexy… I can’t hold back anymore! Fuck… YEAH!!!” – Chayton screamed, and his cock erupted inside LaShawn, filling his fundaments with a torrent of manly cream.

Slowly their orgasms subsided, and they fell exhausted on the bed.

“I’m sorry” – Chayton said when they caught their breath – “I don’t know what I was thinking when I said that Jorell…”

LaShawn shushed Chayton pressing a finger on his lips, and then placed again his face on his boyfriend’s heaving chest – “Don’t talk. Hold me tight, Chay… Just hold me tight…”

~ Things get worse ~

The moment of tender intimacy between the two young lovers was short-lived, as loud voices started coming from the living room.

“I don’t care if Barry’s gone away! I’m actually relieved, if you really have to know!” – Stewart said angrily to Alex – “I knew since the beginning that sooner or later he would’ve hurt one of the boys!”

“But it happened by accident!” – Alex replied, aloud, trying to defend Barry.

“It’s easy for you to talk like this! It was my boy who got attacked! If it was Charlie, now you wouldn’t defend your violent buddy!”

Jorell rushed down the stairs: “Guys… Please… Please! Don’t argue, the situation is already so bad…”

Both Alex and Stewart turned to Jorell and, angry as they were, they didn’t notice the great anguish on his face. “Hey man, fuck you, you sound like my mother!” – Stewart shouted – “We’re just discussing, we’re not arguing!”.

Jorell shook his head, sullenly: “This is not the Cove I used to know… You two, at least, go where your own boys can’t hear you” – he added, spotting Rick trying to hide behind the kitchen door, wearing an alarmed and sorry expression that spoke volumes.

“Umpf!” – Alex snorted, and turned around, heading upstairs – “I have nothing more to say to Stewart, anyway!”

“Umpf!” – Stewart replied, pissed off, heading to the main door – “I’m late for work!”

Jorell, now alone, sat on the coach, sighing. When he joined the Cove, about a year earlier, he was fascinated by the harmony that ruled there, so different than the harsh street life he and LaShawn had to live before: the men were supportive and loving to each other, back then, but now all that love seemed to have turned into anger and resentment.

“No, Jorell, the Cove is still here…” – a wise voice said in the silent room. “Wahkan!” – Jorell exclaimed, surprised by the man’s sudden appearance and by his amazing gift of guessing people’s inner thoughts. “Do you really think that this… situation will be resolved? Maybe we should call Beau and Kale…”

“And what can they do while they are thousands of miles away? We can’t ask them to give up on their honeymoon and come back here. We’re all adult men, I’m sure we can find a solution by ourselves.”

“But how do you see this situation? I’m not sure to understand what’s happening…”

“There are things that I don’t understand, either. Or better, that I don’t know, yet. For instance, why Barry chose to go away: I understand he felt sort of hurt by Beau and Kale’s marriage, but you don’t leave the Cove for this. There must be something else.”

“As for Alex and Stewart” – Wahkan went on – “they are doing what we should never do: they’re taking sides. Alex loves Barry, and I respect that, but he refuses to acknowledge that Barry has a responsibility. And Stewart is still angry for what Barry did to Rick, and I respect that, too; but he should understand that the Cove is greater than him and Rick, is greater than each of us. This is the time of discernment and understanding, not of anger and fights.”

Wahkan’s wise words were still echoing in the room when other angry voices started coming from the basement.

“I may be your boy, but I’m not a child!” – Rowan said aloud to Gerry – “You are unjust to Barry!”

“And you seem to care a bit too much for him, kid! I love him, too, but I’m not so blind to overlook Barry’s faults! If he decided to go away, after the way he behaved, I’m not the one who’s going there to bring him back!”

“So, you give up on him, right? Maybe you weren’t that wrong, when we first came here and you kept repeating that you didn’t fit in the Cove! The ‘guys upstairs’, as you used to call them not so long ago, didn’t give up on me, when I most needed them!”

“And this is the point, Rowan! Barry doesn’t need any help and sure enough didn’t ask for it!”

Rowan shook his head, realizing that the conversation was quickly escalating to an argument, and he didn’t want it to happen. “You see, Daddy…” – he then said with a softer tone – “sometimes people don’t even know that they need help…”

Gerry opened his mouth, but then closed it, as apparently Rowan couldn’t, or didn’t want to, understand his point of view. A soft knock on the door saved them from an embarrassing silence. “The… the lunch is ready” – Laniakea said, cautiously, peeking inside.

“Thanks kid” – Gerry replied and gestured to Rowan to go upstairs with him; it was supposed to be a friendly gesture of complicity, but it looked much more authoritarian than Gerry intended to. Rowan sighed softly and, without a word, followed Gerry upstairs.

~ Troubled waters in the Cove ~

The dishes that Rick and Laniakea had prepared for lunch were exceptionally elaborate and mouthwatering; both the chefs had put an extra effort in their cooking, hoping to soothe the tense mood of the house with some comfort food, but apparently no one noticed. Few words were spoken at the table, and none of them was to reward or thank the young chefs for their efforts.

“I think that we should check on Barry…” – Wahkan said, almost at the end of the meal, glancing at Barry’s empty seat – “I would’ve called him at the phone myself, but maybe a… closer friend than me should call. Just to know how is he doing, where is he going to settle…”

Wahkan looked at Alex, as he was Barry’s best buddy, and sure enough he was the most suitable person to make the phone call; but Alex shrugged his shoulder: “He’s not a baby, he can take care of himself. There’s nothing to worry about, he’s going to be fine.”

“You… You’ve already heard from him, haven’t you?!” – Jorell exclaimed, noticing that Alex wasn’t worried at all about Barry.

“What if it was?” – Alex replied with a defiant tone – “Am I not allowed to call my best friend?”

“You asked him to come back, didn’t you?” – Rowan said, anxious – “Did he explain why he went away? Have you told him that we all miss him?”

“I didn’t tell him anything like that. I don’t like to tell lies” – Alex said, gravely, looking sideways at Stewart and Gerry.

“He’s not going to come back, is he?” – LaShawn asked in a small voice.

Alex sighed and his tense expression relaxed a bit, as no matter what, it was not the boys’ fault what happened. “No, he won’t come back. He said it was not made on impulse, he thought a lot about it. He’s sure that staying away is the best solution. He feels sorry for the turmoil he caused, but I sense that this is not the main reason why he went away.”

“And what is the reason, then?” – Wahkan asked – “I really don’t understand…”

“Neither does he. We’re talking about Barry, self-analysis is something totally out of his capabilities. If Kale was here…”

Laniakea was about to propose to call him, but Wahkan stopped him before he could talk: “No, Kale is on honeymoon. And we should be able to manage the situation without always relying on him! Barry has no place to go, after all, except maybe the trailer he uses as office at work; hopefully he will soon miss the Cove…”

Alex grunted and said: “I wouldn’t count on that. Is this your wonderful solution? Making him live like a homeless, in the cold and without a bathroom until he’s forced to come back? Sorry man, he does have a comfortable place where to live, until he finds a home of his own.”

“What you mean?” – Jorell asked – “Did you… made easier in any way his staying away?”

“I gave him the keys to my old apartment” – Alex replied disdainfully – “I’m not going to let my friend live in a trailer!”

Everyone started talking and yelling at once. “What?? What’s your game, Alex?” – Wahkan exclaimed – “Don’t you realize that this way Barry will stay away even longer? Don’t you want him to come back?”

He doesn’t want to come back!” – Alex yelled – “and if no one here can respect his decision, if no one can respect him, this is no place for me, either!”

Jorell stood up, shocked, staring at Alex: “I’m not going to see you destroy the Cove! I really didn’t expect you to be so selfish. You, of all the men, were in the position to make Barry understand that his place is here, and you… you… Oh, fuck!!”

With an imperious gesture, Jorell made LaShawn follow him, and he left the dining room. Chayton looked at Wahkan, and when he didn’t object in any way to Alex’s revelation, the boy urged him under his breath: “Say something, sir! Please! You always know the right words to speak…”

“Whatever you say to a deaf man, he won’t listen to you…” – Wahkan replied, looking straight at Alex and reading into his eyes his fierce determination to let Barry decide for himself, even if this would put the Cove itself in danger…

~ Meanwhile, far away… ~

On the other side of the Ocean, in the joyful Juan-les-Pins, Beau woke up at Palais Harcourt, in the ample bed he shared with Kale. It was the crack of dawn, but he felt alive and well-rested; evanescent traces of a pleasant dream still lingered in his mind, putting him in a good mood. Life was wonderful!

He glanced at Kale, soundly asleep next to him, on his belly. Beau flashed an urchin grin and with extreme care he lifted the satin bedsheets and moved them away, uncovering Kale’s naked body. Beau felt his heart speed up, admiring Kale’s tanned skin, his smooth back, his narrow waist and the delicious melons of his buns.

With a little pang of shame Beau remembered when he lusted for Gaston’s muscular ass, thinking that it was better than Kale’s. «Well, Gaston’s ass is a marvel of nature, this can’t be denied…» – Beau thought, stifling a smile – «…but Kale’s ass is something else, look at that…!»

Beau extended a hand in the dim light coming from the window and kept it so close to the inviting ass cheeks to feel the warmth of the skin, but without actually touching it, as to not wake Kale up. The feeling was so erotic that Beau’s manhood rose to full mast.

Moving ever so slowly, Beau leaned over Kale’s inviting buns and placed a gentle kiss on the velvety skin. His cock throbbed hard, reclaiming attention. He kissed Kale’s buttocks again, this time with more passion, and even daring to dart his tongue toward the secluded portal that led to Kale’s inner paradise. Kale didn’t move and went on sleeping deeply.

With cautious hands, Beau parted the firm cheeks and gently licked Kale’s puckered hole, that quivered and spasmed, while the sleeping man uttered a faint moan. Beau’s cock throbbed even harder, and quickly took control of Beau’s mind using its most subtle and wicked weapon: a surge of testosterone.

Beau flashed a lustful grin and took some lubricant from the nightstand; he greased his hefty cock and cautiously took position behind Kale, straddling his thighs and pointing his long cock to the enticing ass waiting for him.

Slowly, inch by inch, Beau eased his cock between Kale’s buttocks, reached his back door and with a short push he was suddenly in.

“Nnngghh…” – Kale moaned, without changing position. Beau stopped, but Kale’s steady breathing told him he was still asleep. The mere idea of fucking Kale while he was asleep fueled Beau’s libido, and he started rocking his hips, reaching further into Kale’s depths at each thrust of his rigid meat.

By now, Beau knew Kale and his intimacy quite well, and he knew where to point his wide helmet in order to stimulate his lover at best: sure enough, Beau was enjoying the sneaky fuck very much, but what he really wanted was to give to Kale the best awakening ever. And he was soon rewarded…

“Mmmhh… ooohh….” – Kale blurred, slowly coming to consciousness. His dreams mixed with the exquisite feelings radiating from his joy nut, so masterfully stimulated by Beau’s relentless hits. “Awww… yes… yes… Beau!!” – Kale exclaimed, finally and totally awake, finding himself drilled by the most delicious manly member he could dream of.

Bonjour, husband” – Beau whispered tenderly into Kale’s ear – “Have I woken you up?”

“Nnngghh… Beau… Is this what you indulge into? Taking advantage of helpless sleeping men?”

Beau’s hips suddenly halted: “I can stop, if you don’t like it…”

“Don’t you dare…! Nnngg… You can go on, but only if you promise you’ll fuck me like this until tomorrow…”

“Why, do you think you can resist until tomorrow if I do… this?” – Beau said playfully, rolling on his back and pulling Kale over him; Beau planted his feet on the mattress and started fucking Kale with quick short thrusts, giving to his lover’s joy nut a treatment that no man could survive.

“Nnngghhh!!! Awww… Fuck… YES!!” – Kale gasped aloud, lost into a swirl of sexual pleasure.

“Sshhh!! You’re going to wake up Aunt Yvette!”

“She doesn’t seem easily impressed… Aaahh… Do it again… Do it again…!!”

Beau smiled, feeling Kale squirm against his chest, and reached around to his cock, as stiff as a pole: “Time for the fireworks show…!”

Kale felt lost, reclined on his back on Beau’s chest, held still by his muscular arm, while his mighty cock sped up, smashing his insides with a mind-blowing potency. “I’m close… Beau, I’m so close…”

“I’m with you, husband… I’m with you now and forever… NNNGGGHH!!!”

Beau’s cock stretched even more Kale’s hole, throbbing hard and flooding his insides, and Kale totally lost control and his ejaculation exploded like a volcanic eruption. Breathless, Kale went on shooting long plumes of man seed up in the air, trembling and spasming, until his muscles relaxed and a sudden peace of mind replaced the sexual high.

He rolled away from Beau and took again his initial position, on his belly, and dove his face into the warm pillow: “You’re wonderful, Beau… Wonderful… wond…” – Kale blurred, and he fell asleep again.

“Sleep, my love…” – Beau whispered, placing a tender kiss on Kale’s back – “Sleep to your heart’s content…”

~ Rough awakening ~

But Kale couldn’t sleep to his heart’s content, because suddenly the silence of the room was broken by his phone buzzing furiously.

“Whoever you are… fuck you…!” – Kale murmured, groggily reaching out to the phone, but when he looked at the display he smiled tenderly: “It’s Rick, he probably forgot about the different time zone…”

“Hello there, my favorite redhead!” – Kale said joyfully, with furred tongue, and couldn’t restrain a yawn.

“Oh! You were sleeping, sir! Damn, of course you were!” – Rick hastened to say, suddenly remembering that France was nine hours ahead of the West Coast – “I’m terribly sorry, it must be… 6 AM there?”

“5 AM, actually” – Kale giggled – “But it’s never too early to hear a friendly voice…”

“I… I’m sorry, sir, please go back sleeping… I wasn’t supposed to call you anyway…”

Kale’s mind, in the meantime, had cleaned up, and he noticed the strain in the voice coming from across the Ocean: “Wait… Rick, what’s up? You are upset… Did something happen?”

“Barry has gone away, sir, he left the Cove…” – Rick whined, trying to hold himself – “The men here didn’t want to disrupt your honeymoon, they say they can handle the situation, but they keep arguing, yelling at each other, taking sides… Jorell said that this wasn’t the Cove he used to know, and it’s true, sir, I feel like… like the Cove is crumbling down. I haven’t heard a loving word since Barry went away, not even… not even from Stewart. We need you, sir! Maybe if you call Barry and make him come back home things will be again like they used to be, right? It’s not too late to sort this mess out, right, sir?”

Rick’s voice exuded such a pain, such an inner struggle that Kale wished he was there, at the Cove, to give to the boy a strong, comforting hug. “I’m sure it’s not too late, Hendrick, trust me. I’ll call Barry as soon as we end this call. In the meantime don’t tell the men we’ve talked, it can only upset them. Don’t worry, kid, I’ll sort it out, whatever happened.”

“Thank you sir… I love you, sir…” – Rick replied in a small voice, and hung the phone.

Kale turned to Beau, who was looking at him with a worried expression: “What happened?”

“Something serious must’ve happened at the Cove, Rick was barely holding himself. Apparently, Barry left the Cove, and no one even knows exactly why… Probably not even he himself. He’s not a champion at understanding his own feelings, you know. But he must be desperate, to take such a drastic decision! Poor Barry… Alone, away from the Cove… He needs me, and I’m stuck here, at six thousand miles away!”

While Kale was talking, Beau’s expression changed to the initial worry to a restrained disappointment: “You’re not ‘stuck’ anywhere, you’re on honeymoon with your newlywed husband, if you forgot it…”

“Oh, Beau, I didn’t mean that! You know how much I love you, and this place is wonderful, but… Come on, we’re talking about Barry!”

“Exactly!” – Beau exclaimed, rolling away from Kale – “We’re always talking about Barry! I thought I married you, but apparently this is a three-some marriage, like he said at the airport while shoving his tongue into your mouth! But if I’m not mistaken, it’s my man juice, not Barry’s, the one seeping out of your ass!”

That was completely below the belt, and Beau bit his tongue as soon as those nasty words had left his lips. Kale shot him a hurt glance: “You’ve just ruined the very best moment I’ve ever lived in my life…” – and he quickly got off the bed, went to the bathroom and locked the door.

“No, wait, I don’t know why I said those horrible things…!” – Beau said aloud, standing out of the locked door, but Kale was already under the shower.

When Kale came out, Beau was putting on a long silk kimono with a frowning expression; he was so tense and nervous that he couldn’t even tie the belt.

“I’m not a counselor nor a psychiatrist” – Beau said with restrained anger – “but it’s not that difficult to understand what pissed Barry off: you’re mine!”

“I’m not anyone’s property, if you don’t mind!” – Kale replied, piqued – “And anyway I believe we already discussed this subject before getting married! I’m not going to give up on Barry, which you agreed to, if I’m not mistaken!”

“I don’t want you to give up on Barry! But you… you care way too much for him! It’s unnerving, it’s humiliating! At the airport, when we left, it seemed that the newlywed were you and Barry…! And now ‘poor Barry is alone’, ‘I’m stuck here’… Well, if you find my company so boring, you can go back to the Cove!”

Kale made put a desperate effort to hold his tears, but he miserably failed: “You’re so mean! Yes, I should really go back to the Cove, as there’s no point for me to stay here any longer!”

He turned around and ran out, while Beau’s angry words echoed in the corridor: “Yes! Go back to your beloved Barry! Merde!!

Kale ran downstairs, wearing only a bathrobe, with the tears blurring his sight. He heavily landed into the living room and Aunt Yvette raised her gaze. She didn’t look surprised to see Kale in such a terrible state: maybe she’d overheard the argument going on upstairs, or more probably his eyes, in ninety-eight years, had witnessed much more drama than a quarrel between two lovebirds. She rose from his chair and silently hugged Kale, who gave way to his anguish, sobbing over Yvette’s shoulder.

It took half an hour and a couple croissants for Kale to feel a little better. Yvette looked at him sideways, sipping her tea, and asked: “Who is this Barry? Your secret lover?”

“Aunt Yvette!” – Kale exclaimed – “No, nothing like that! It’s… a bit more complicated.”

The old woman giggled: “Try juggling a fiancé and two secret lovers, one of whom a young lady, and then tell me about complicated situations… Do you love this Barry?”

“Yes, I love him. He’s part of my life” – Kale replied sincerely.

“And do you love him more than Beau?”

Kale answered with the same question: “Did you love that young lady more than your male lover, or your boyfriend?”

Touché” – Yvette said, with an elegant (but barely hinted) bow of his head – “So, what’s the problem? Beau found out about him?”

“Beau knows everything about Barry: he lives with us. Or better, he used to: early in the morning I got a phone call from home and they told me that Barry has left the Cove. The house, I mean, we call it ‘The Cove’. The men and the boys are shocked.”

“Are there other men?”

It was Kale’s turn to giggle: “We’re fifteen in total, including myself. All male, of course. We all love each other, but some bonds are stronger than others.”

Parbleu!” – Yvette exclaimed, surprised – “Mon garçon, you’re fully entitled to talk about complicated situations!”

They chuckled, but soon Kale became serious: “Aunt Yvette, I have to go home. They need me. The Cove needs me, not just Barry.”

“And what about Beauregard?”

“He will understand. I’m sure he will, it can’t be any other way. The man I love, the man I’ve married will understand. If he doesn’t… then I’ve made the biggest mistake of my life.”

They stood silent for a little while, looking at each other, and then Aunt Yvette said with a half-smile: “You’re a better juggler than I was back in the day. Go back to your Cove and take care of your… other men, while I take care of the one you’re leaving here.”

Kale gave the old lady a thankful glance, relieved that she could understand him. He headed to the staircase and stifled a smile when he heard Aunt Yvette murmur to herself: “Fifteen! Mon Dieu!

After lunch Kale packed his luggage. When he went downstairs, there were Beau and Yvette waiting for him. Kale said goodbye to the old woman and then got close to Beau, who had a disdainful expression on his face. “Always remember you’re the love of my life, and this won’t ever change” – Kale said softly – “Please, don’t ever stop loving me, Beau, or my life wouldn’t be worth living.”

He then went out, where a cab was waiting for him. While leaving Juan-les-Pins, Kale dearly hoped he was making the right choice, because going away he was either trying and save the Cove… or putting a gravestone on it, and on his marriage, along with it.
