“Just be careful Josh, don’t do anything that you’ll regret, I wouldn’t want you landing in any trouble” Charlie warned him.

“It’ll all be okay mate I promise, I’d never let you down” Josh placed his hand on Charlie and smiled at him.

Charlie smiled back at Josh “okay..I trust you I’m just looking out for you that’s all”.

The bell rang much to Josh and Charlie’s delight as school was finally over. “Okay class that’s the end of today’s lesson, don’t forget to hand in your homework for next Tuesday” the maths teacher Mr Whittaker told the class.

“Don’t worry sir we won’t” some of the students replied.

“Williams! That message applies to you especially don’t go forgetting your homework like you did last week.” Mr Whittaker told Josh.

“I won’t sir I’m sorry that I forgot it last time, i just had some…distractions…but I’m okay now and I know it’s not an excuse, I’ll definitely hand it in on time next week I promise I’m not going to disappoint you again” Josh told the teacher.

Mr Whittaker looked at Josh with concern. “Josh is everything ok? Like at home and at school?” He asked him.

“You’d let me know if something was troubling you wouldn’t you?” Mr Whittaker asked him.

Josh and Charlie parted ways and Josh waited for his best friend Luke to come out of School so that they could walk home together.
