Brody looked over at Nico. They had been driving for a few minutes. “It’s going to be OK”, Brody said reassuringly. “You can trust me”.

“Oh, I know”, Nico replied. “I feel safe with you”.

Brody smiled.

Nico continued with “I don’t know how I’ll ever repay you. You’ve already done so much”.

Brody thought about how to respond. His desire for Nico was strong (and growing stronger) and the clear possibility of possessing him, of taking his virginity kept coming to mind. This was like some fantasy coming true. There, beside him was this classically beautiful young Italian man. Brody felt certain that Nico would give himself to him, but he couldn’t help thinking that maybe it was wrong. As much as he wanted (and needed) sexual release, would it be roguish to take advantage of the situation? Damn his conscience.

“You can get those thoughts out of your head. I think you’ve been through plenty of shit recently and I’m glad to help out”. Brody reached over to Nico and put his hand on his shoulder. He gave a light squeeze before putting his hand back on the wheel. “Almost there”.

Those chills again at Brody’s touch. Nico wasn’t sure if he could hold back any longer.

As they drove on, Nico noticed the lights coming from the few houses they passed. The homes sat off the road at the end of long lanes. “Here we are”, Body said, as he turned into a narrow lane thick with trees on either side.

“Kind of creepy, if you ask me”, Nico said. “It’s just so dark. You feel like someone or something is going to jump out at you”.

“Yeah, it was a bit unnerving at first”, Brody replied. “But it’s very private. I’ve grown to love the quietness”. The trees parted as they drove down the lane. A small herd of deer scattered into the woods.

“Where is the house?” Nico asked. “It’s so dark I can’t see anything”.

“A cabin actually”, Brody said. “You’ll see it in a minute”. The lane turned slightly, climbed and then the cabin and adjacent barn-like garage came into view. As they approached, a floodlight came on and the darkness was pierced.

“It looks ancient”, Nico said as they got out of the car.

“A work in progress”, Brody beamed. “It’s a rebuild using old logs from the 1800s. The guy that started the project sold it to me unfinished. I’ve gotten it to a livable state, but still have work to do. Thirty acres of solitude. That’s one good thing about living out here. The land is cheap. I’m happy with it”.

“I can tell”, Nico said.

“Come over here”, Brody said.  He walked to the side of the cabin opposite the garage and motioned for Nico to follow. It was darker there, beyond the reach of the floodlight.

“Have you ever seen the Milky Way?” Brody asked.

“Only pictures”, Nico responded.

“It’s a little late in the season, so it’s not as visible as it can be”, Brody said. “Stand here”. He put his hands on Nico’s shoulders and positioned him where he wanted him to be. Standing behind him, he leaned in close and pointed over Nico’s shoulder toward the sky. “Look through that gap at the top of the trees. It might take a few seconds for your eyes to adjust. Do you see it?”

“I think so”, Nico said. “Oh yeah, it kind of leans to the left?”

“Yep”, said Brody. “If the lights were out you’d see it better, especially if was earlier in the year”.

They peered at the sky, marveling at it and enjoying the moment. Brody was so close that Nico could feel the warmth of his body.

“Cool, huh?” Brody asked.

Nico leaned back and let his body rest against Brody. He felt Brody’s heartbeat and his breath on the back of his neck.

“You’re making it hard to resist”, Brody said, his voice weak in the moment. “I just don’t- Is it wrong to want to kiss you?” he asked.

“Why would it be wrong?” Nico asked, almost whispering.

“I just feel like I’d be taking advantage of you”, Brody said. His cock was growing with Nico pressed against him.

Nico turned and faced Brody. They reached for each other. This second embrace of the evening was more intense and they both fought the urge to let their hands explore. Brody placed his hands on Nico’s face and leaned in for a kiss, his tongue parting Nico’s lips. He wrapped his arms around Nico and pulled him tight. Nico felt himself shiver slightly as he returned the kiss with abandon. Being held and kissed by Brody was overwhelming and everything pent up in him was bubbling to the surface. He could barely breathe. All he wanted at that moment was to explore and enjoy.

Brody broke their kiss. “Are you cold?” He asked Nico. “You’re shaking”.

“Just nervous, I guess”, Nico replied. “It’s all so new, this freedom”.

Brody’s nagging doubt and guilt made him pull away, and he stepped back. He paused and looked at Nico. “Let’s go inside”, he said softly.

“Okay, but what just happened?” Nico asked, his emotions a muddled mix of frustration and confusion.

Brody responded “I’m not sure. I wish I knew. I do know that I’m tired and I need a shower”. He grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled it outward. “A little funky after a long day”. He smiled and turned back toward the front of the cabin.

Nico watched him walk around the corner. He had been thinking that Brody smelled good; a slight hint of cologne complimenting his own manly scent. Nico found it intoxicating. He wanted to be in his arms again. In the short time they had been together something was happening between them. He sighed and then followed along.

Brody was climbing the chunky wooden steps of the porch as Nico rounded the corner of the cabin. By the time Nico caught up to him he was unlocking the door. Standing behind Brody, Nico got a quick view of the cabin. The covered porch was deep; empty except for an old wooden bench sitting against the massive rough-hewn front wall. A small lantern style light by the door bathed the space in a soft golden glow.

Opening the door, Brody reached in and switched on a light and then stepped aside to let Nico enter first. “Welcome to my abode”, he said.

The space seemed very pleasing, albeit sparsely furnished. The blend of modern décor against age-old exposed log walls worked nicely and created a tranquil feeling. An oversized leather sofa faced the large stone fireplace that sat at one end of the room. The remaining space was largely empty; only a wooden chair here or there. The exposed log walls were bare. A small dinette set sat close to a window. Next to it was a bookcase, filled to overflowing with books stacked high on top as well as on the floor on either side. There was no doubt that Brody enjoyed reading.

Nico continued to survey the cabin and Brody followed his gaze. “That rear section is an addition to the original cabin”, Brody said. “It’s the kitchen and my bedroom & bathroom. There are two small bedroom spaces upstairs, but they’re not finished yet”.

“I’ve never been in a log cabin until now”, Nico stated. “It’s calming. There’s this feeling of serenity”.

“I get it”, replied Brody. “I don’t know what it is, but there’s a feeling of being protected and at peace. I’m guessing you can use a dose of that right now, huh?”

Nico paused, then said “It’s great, but being with you has been the best part”. He smiled at Brody. “I really can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for me”.

“Aw, you can stop all of that”, Brody said. “Let’s see about getting you settled in”.

“Did I do something wrong outside?” Nico asked.

“Not at all”, Brody said with a smile. He reached out and put his hand under Nico’s chin, kissing him softly on the lips and then pulled him against his chest.

Nico melted against Brody. “What are you doing to me?”

“That’s just it. I’m trying to hold back and sort this all out myself”, Brody replied. “It’s happening all too quick”. He let his fingers work their way into Nico’s curls. Softly he said “I want you. I want you so bad. I’m just trying not to ruin this and hurt you in some way”. Brody looked down at Nico; smiling back at him.

“So, now to get you out of your clothes”, Brody said and winked.

“Oh! Where’d that come from?” Nico said laughingly.

“I’ll show you to the bathroom, so you can be first in the shower. That’s where that came from”, Brody replied.

Nico surveyed Brody’s bedroom as they moved through to the bathroom. A large platform bed filled most of the space. There was a small bedside table with a lamp, littered with more books.  A long upholstered bench sat at the foot of the bed.  Windows lined the better part of the exterior wall, with a number of closet doors on the opposite wall. The brightly lit bathroom was equally simple.  An over-sized shower with clear glass on three sides offered zero privacy. Both rooms were in stark contrast to the rustic main cabin.

“You can leave your clothes outside the door. I need to do a load of laundry.  I’ll just add them to the mix.  I’ll leave something for you to wear on my bed. You should find everything you need, either in the shower, or in here”. Brody pointed to the vanity and closed the door behind him as he left the room.

Pausing in front of the full length mirror, Nico looked at himself. He was suddenly feeling self-conscious about his body. He felt Brody’s hard body when he was against him (a few times now). In uniform he was impressive. What would he look like naked? He closed his eyes and smiled, just thinking about Brody without his clothes. This wasn’t happening. It couldn’t be real. He pulled off his clothes, loosely folded them and opened the door.

Brody was just leaving his bedroom and looked back to catch a glance of Nico’s naked upper body leaning out of the bathroom door. Without staring he took in a quick view of his guest. Nico had nicely formed muscle tone, just as Brody had expected. His beautifully lean nineteen year old body was sculpted by sports and nature, not in a gym. Brody smiled at Nico. “Take all the time you need. But if you take too long, I’ll be joining you”, he quipped.

“Well then, I’ll be at least an hour”, Nico replied as he closed the door. He stepped into the shower and turned on the water, which was warm in seconds. He stood there and let the water run over his body.

He thought about the day; how it had started and how it was ending. He wouldn’t have guessed that he’d end up here, in the middle of God knows where, alone. But he wasn’t alone. A gorgeous guy had brought him to his home. The evening could be promising yet.
