It was 1020am now, time to put the plan into action. “Go wash your faces off. Dry them good, come back to bed.” I ordered and the two boys ran out to the bathroom.

“What’s so funny?” Wes demanded.

We all got dressed and headed back to Wes’ house to pick up the boards, then it was off to the skate park. Wes was right, it was a little more crowded than normal. “Hey, just call me. We’ll set something up!” and with that he was back skating around the bowl again.

I paid attention to the bowl and the boys. They would come up to a friend of theirs and after a minute or so you’d see the friend sniff, then another would come over and there would be a small group around each of my boys as they showed off the newest mark along with the older and slightly fading neck marks.

Denny came in just then and stopped by my chair.

“Hey Ted! How’s it going? Are you okay after last night?” he asked.

“Yeah, very much okay. I had Wes, Dory and Ben there to take on guys, I didn’t get enough!” I said with a laugh.

“I see Dory and Wes are drawing a crowd again. What did you do to them this time?”

“Well, I marked them again but in a different way.”

“What? How?”
