Next Door Buddies focuses on guy-next-door types - amateur first timers who fuck or jack off for the camera. You can read about the guys on the tour and you will get a pretty good idea of the models from the tour, as well. In fact, if you click around the tour a bit, you can get a very good idea of the member area. Now it's time to log in so we can get a closer look at the inside of Next Door Buddies.
When you log into Next Door Buddies, you'll find the member menu on the right side of the page and on the left side of the page are listings for the first 14 videos inside the site, each showing 2 preview thumbs. On the bottom of the page aer links to all the episode pages and there's also an ad that looks like it could be content if you're not paying attention.
The site menu includes a link for viewer requests, so if there is a guy a member wants to see again, you can write to the site owners and let them know. You can also order a personal video just for you shot to your specs, which is something I haven't seen in many sites. There is also the member services page, to help you with video or password or other issues. There is a link to the video store, to the site terms and to page in case you'd like to model for the site plus the about the guys link from the tour which tells about the type of models found on the site.
The guys inside Next Door Buddies are either hunky or cute or both. Some of the models appear in several videos, and also appear in the other sites in the network, so I'm not sure if you can call them amateurs - but they are pretty hot. The content inside the site includes solo jerkoffs, 2-guy hardcore and some group scenes as well.
The videos are available in 2 formats - WMV and Quicktime. These are full video downloads with no clips available, but since the videos are quick to start playing them if you stream them, it's not a real problem. The newer WMV vids are shown at 640x480 at good quality, and both the older WMVs and Quicktime videos are shown at a screen size of 320x240 and good amateur quality. Dialup users will be happy to hear that there are dialup versions of all the WMVs.
All but a few of what I think are the oldest videos are good quality when watched at 320x240. They still look fairly good enlarged with only a little loss of sharpness. At full screen, that loss of sharpness becomes more pronounced, and I wouldn't recommend enlarging past 200%.
The hardcore videos are mostly a little over 15 minutes each, with a few of the solo videos coming in shorter than that. It looks like the cameramen have got some experience - the action is all caught well and the cumshots are caught in good quality closeups. The lighting is a little hard but overall I'd consider the camera work to be very good amateur quality, verging on pro-am.
Each video comes with its own set of pics which you can view as a thumbnailed gallery or as a slideshow. Some of the pic sets seem to be digital stills and some seem to be vidcaps, which are very high quality for vidcaps. All the pics are medium in size and are shown at average quality or a little better. There's no blurriness or weird issues with the pics and they show off the guys, their cocks and the action well.
All members get access to 4 bonus sites - Stroke That Dick, Next Door Male, Tommy D & Friends and Next Door Hookups - but you will not find links to the member areas of those sites inside Next Door Buddies. When you are ready to go visit those sites, you will need to either click on their links from the join page or type in the web addresses and find the member area links on the tours. Hopefully at some point, the owners will put links to the member areas of each site inside the member area of Next Door Buddies.
After spending some time inside Next Door Buddies, I'm happy to report that the site has everything they claim to have - the men are hot and the videos focus on the action and the cumshots. The videos are fast to play, you can download them and they are good amateur quality. Each comes with pics. The only catch is there are no dates on any of the episodes, but the site has added 77 updates in the last 18 months. The slideshow was a treat. Nothing like hands free viewing in my book.
Seems a bit cheesie to offer a free video from someone else, but hey whatever makes a buck I guess.
Still the stuff was good. Not sure worth the price, and they didn't all have that 'boy next door' look to me, not like I have any next door, unfortunately.
