Chi Chi LaRue started working in gay porn as an administrative assistant at Catalina Video back in the 80s. Company founder William Higgins was so impressed with LaRue's passion for porn that he offered him an opportunity to direct his first film. After that, LaRue discovered mega porn stars like Zak Spears, Joey Stefano, Johnny Hazzard, and many others, and was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 1995. The action isn't weighted down with scripts or storylines, although there are various situations that bring the men together. Most of the action is in duos, but there are two threeways, a foursome, and a fiveway. There's lots of dick sucking before the men plunge their bare dicks in each other's holes. The cum shots are as varied as the men: I saw two tops splooge their bottoms' hairy holes, another came on his bottom's face, and four guys unloaded all over the fifth in one of those group scenes. There are five interracial scenes, too. Finally, variety is the name of the game here with scenes being filmed in the locker room, a doctor's exam room, a restroom, offices, on ammo crates with camouflage netting, bedrooms, or playrooms. The only commonality is hard dick filling cum-hungry bare holes.

Chi Chi LaRaw offers 24 exclusive videos in MP4 format. Downloads are available in four sizes at up to 1920x1080 or five sizes up to 4K at 3840x2160. The vids generally look good, but a couple could have been lit better. You can also stream the videos in an adaptive player that shows them as large as 1000x562 on my 27-inch desktop monitor. The system picks the speed for your set-up, but although I have a super high-speed connection, it selected the middle speed. You can change the speed, but when I opted for the 4K version, I found the playback was very choppy, which makes sense as they're quite large. In this case, you're probably better off downloading them and enjoying them offline or selecting the next largest size, which played fine on my desktop. There's a full-screen option and most videos fared well, although a couple of poorly lit ones didn't look so good. The videos played well and looked good on my mobiles.

Each episode has a set of pictures which appear to be a mix of digital stills and screencaps. Each has a few glamour shots of the scene's models, and these are probably digital stills as they're crisp and good quality. The action pics are likely screencaps, and while they're pretty good, they don't seem to be as crisp as the others. Either way, the pics display at 667x1000 (portrait) or 1000x667 (landscape). The viewer has forward and back controls but no hands-free slideshow option. You can save the pictures individually or download whole sets in zip files. There are between 60 and 90 pictures per set.

There are some extras, too. Since our last visit, they've added a bonus site called Raw Dads with 83 videos and weekly updates featuring men in their 30s through their 50s in hardcore action with other mature men and with younger admirers in their twenties. There are also three bonus collections offering 402 videos (slightly less than on our last visit), and these come in the fetish, hunk, and twink niches. These are older DVD scenes sized at 750x560 in average quality to download and stream.

Let's talk about issues. The biggest is that the site stopped updating two months ago, and we can't tell if updates are expected to return. There are two pre-checked offers on the ChiChiLaRaw billing page, and they're not easy to spot as they're tucked away on the right side among various membership terms. If you opt for a trial membership, you'll be limited to viewing only the latest four scenes. The terms and conditions link doesn't work from join page, but it works elsewhere on the site. By joining, you give the site permission to send you updates and commercial emails, but you can opt out using link in the emails. Finally, there was a pop-over on the tour, but it was easy enough to close.

There are two rows of thumbs near the bottom of the members homepage and the video listings; these are ads, but could easily be mistaken for content. And there's a large banner at the page bottoms to market Raw Dads, which members already have full access to as a bonus site.

I was disappointed that the About Me page was not written by Chi Chi LaRue; instead, it read like a generic news piece. A message from LaRue himself would have gone a long way to give the site some added personality.
